Sorry about that. I've changed the two weeks to one week, as a compromise, and have also removed the block on account creation. That means you can now create an account and continue editing. I hope you will. Fingers crossed that the vandals won't notice that particular change, but that's probably optimistic. However, they should at least be easier to handle as accounts.
