Recent Vandalism?[edit]

Hello Bobo. Your vandalism to Talk:James May was removed by me after I detected it on Recent Changes. I see that it was a piece of information that was removed from the original page, and added to the talk page. However, the talk page was vandalised, and then it was vandalism over it... I don't know what to say. It was a series of bad things. I've added it back to the talk page, but it seems strange. Sincerely, Logical2u 20:02, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Syed Ahmed[edit]

what have u done with the page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it took quite a long time to make and can u restore it please!!!!!!! Bobo6balde66 17:24, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid not. The article on Syed Ahmed was deleted in accordance with our deletion policy following a discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Syed Ahmed. If you disagree with this decision you should post at Wikipedia:Deletion review. I would ask you to consider the notability of this individual in a worldwide encyclopedia, however. Personally, I feel that useful information should be included in the The Apprentice (UK series 2) (I merged useful content from the old article there). You'll note that a similar approach was taken for candidates in other reality TV shows such as big brother. Please don't take this personally: good contributions to the Syed Ahmed article are still available in The Apprentice (UK series 2). UkPaolo/talk 18:12, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You have recently created the article Syed Ahmed. This was deleted in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policies. Please do not recreate the article: if you disagree with the article's deletion, you may ask for a review at Wikipedia:Deletion review. UkPaolo/talk 15:51, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
While I didn't find objections to the page, I didn't realize that it had been previously deleted. There was a consensus to delete the page, and as the comment above says, it should either stay deleted or be put up for review. --MZMcBride 23:14, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The golden age of hip hop for deletion?[edit]

Your 12?![edit]

Sorry, that just surprised me! I wanted to know where you get your sources for Oasis album sales from? cheers.--Crestville 16:54, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dunno. Don't get many 12yr olds on wikipedia doing technial, boring sort of work. They're usually just vandelising the place during IT. That's what I did at any rate. Round of applause to you etc. I think you need to provide sources for these chart positions and especially the album sales because they're a bit controvercial. And if you can get a picture of Noddy Holder, that'd be great too (long shot)--Crestville 19:22, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Michelle Dewberry[edit]

I'm curious as to why you blanked that. If you don't think she deserves an article then send it to AfD. Thanks. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 21:03, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have no idea why any of these non-notables get an article or why one does or the other does not but blanking is not the way to go. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 21:11, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Syed Ahmed WTF??[edit]

y do u kep doing this —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bobo6balde66 (talkcontribs).

You have recently created the article Syed Ahmed. This was deleted in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policies. Please do not recreate the article: if you disagree with the article's deletion, you may ask for a review at Wikipedia:Deletion review. As I said previously, this article was deleted per a consensus. Do not continue to recreate this article, doing so will be seen as vandalism, for which you may be blocked. Similarly, please do not blank other articles, such as you did to Michelle Dewberry. I have now protected Syed Ahmed to prevent recreation of deleted content. UkPaolo/talk 16:19, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

please , please can u give a a vaild reason why the Syed Ahmed page should be deleted and dont give me any of this "it has no meaning" crap i want a real reason and i also want a reason why the michelle dewberry page should be kept and again dont give me "well give me a valid reason to keep the syed ahmed page" ryt got that GOOD Bobo6balde66 20:46, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Easy - there was a discussion. You can read it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Syed Ahmed. The consensus from editors was to delete the article. You can read there reasoning at the discussion. It was therfore deleted. It would be pretty pointless discussing whether to do this, and then letting the content be instantly recreated. We therfore have a policy to speedy delete previously deleted content. That's all there is to it. If you disagree with the deletion, as I said above, go to Wikipedia:Deletion review and request a review. Don't recreate it.
With regard to Michelle Dewberry, there's no consensus to delete the article, and thus it's still there. If you want to find a consensus feel free to go ahead and start a discussion. If you feel the article should be deleted then list it on WP:AFD and see if a consensus is reached. Don't decide to blank the page yourself.

Still Game article[edit]

I saw that you made an episode article - great idea. But will you be moving the episode summaries to that page as well? I think it would be best, with a link and perhaps short summary for each series on the main page. Britishagent 16:02, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I mean, will you be putting the episode summaries on the new episode page? If you do that, you can put links on the main Still Game page to the different series. If you don't get what I mean, I'll do it myself. :-) Britishagent 19:01, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Call for consensus on fan site list on Andy Murray page[edit]

Hello Bobo6balde66,

You've probably noticed my (probably foolhardy) attempt to resolve the edit war on the Andy Murray page regarding fansites. The protagonists do not look about to resolve it among themselves, so I'd appreciate it if you and other regular editors could express your views on this part of the page, so that we can stop the war going forward, or at least block a protagonist who persists in it. Please come to the talk page here

The questions I've put are:

Please can I have the opinions of those who regularly edit this site:

1.Should there be a list of fansites?

2.Should it be ordered

a) alphabetically
b) by site's popularity or quality
c) by some other factor

3. If by popularity/quality how to judge this?

Image copyright problem with Image:Hardtobeat.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Hardtobeat.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ytny 09:51, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Whats up? Hi, I'm trying to gather some more interest and support for the Wikipedia:WikiProject Punk music. Please check out the topics and lets get our WikiProject to function better. Recently, I've taken an interest in the Wikipedia:WikiProject hip hop and I consider that WikiProject to be better developed. I am now writing to usernames on the hiphopWP who might be interested in helping with the punkmusicWP. Hopefully we can all work together to improve articles relating to punk as has been done well with hip hop. Finally, I am trying to gather support and opinions concerning the punk house article and specifically the Theta Beta Potata article which is currently in AfD (x2) at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Theta Beta Potata (second nomination). Please check it out and voice your opinion. Xsxex 09:01, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Martinoneill.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Martinoneill.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Orphaned fair use image (Image:Dvd1.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Dvd1.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

A tag has been placed on Jack Savoretti, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. tomasz. 21:41, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free use disputed for Image:Hardtobeat.jpg[edit]

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Hardtobeat.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:57, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This articlke has been named for deletion, as you created this article the nominator should have informed you. The article does need some work - it could especially do with a paragraph for each of the rounds leading up to the final. slan!--Vintagekits 01:19, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you could do a wee bit of work on the article it would be appriciated.--Vintagekits 19:33, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Syed Ahmed ............... Again![edit]

I Mean hes been really sucessful why not??? Bobo6balde66 20:28, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think I made my reasoning pretty clear here. He may have been successful, but I personally don't believe he is sufficiently notable to merit an article here. Since previous deletion discussions have agreed with this, if you wish to discuss this matter further, I suggest posting to Wikipedia:Deletion review. UkPaolo/talk 22:32, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:BetweenTheMinds.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:BetweenTheMinds.jpg. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:13, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Gwen Stefani discography, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. 17Drew 23:56, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please read WP:RS and WP:SPS. Information from a forum is not reliable. If Billboard or another reliable publisher has posted the information, then it should be cited to that. 17Drew 00:06, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Snooker request[edit]

As a member of WikiProject Snooker, it is requested that you watchlist at least the following pages:

  • Wikipedia:WikiProject Snooker - if the project members do not pay attention to changes at the project page, especially its talk page, effective collaboration will be nearly impossible and the project would eventually fail.
  • Wikipedia:WikiProject Snooker/Wanted snooker bios - this is an important part of the project's to-do list.
  • Snooker - our main article, frequently subject to vandalism and nonsense edits that (historically) have sometimes taken hours or even an entire day to be fixed
  • Snooker season 2006/2007 - another important article
  • Snooker world rankings 2006/2007 - another important article
  • One or more player articles of your choice that you'd like to "adopt" as a guardian against vandalism, PoV-pushing, etc.

Keeping in touch with the rest of the team via the project pages, and keeping an occasional eye on core articles will go a long way to strengthening the project and protecting the articles. Thank you for your time and attention. — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 03:04, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Properly citing references[edit]

Thank you for finding more reference citations for Paul Hunter, but please add them properly, using {{Cite web}} (or {{Cite book}}, etc., as appropriate) inside <ref>. Putting bare URLs into reference citations without any of the other standard information about what the source is, when it was written, when it was added (accessdate), who published it, etc., is of almost no use to the reader, and it simply creates more work for other editors to do, filling in those blanks. — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 23:38, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for your message. The problem with the Jack Savoretti article isn't the article or how it's written. It's all down to the fact that he isn't notable as per the requirements of WP:BIO or WP:BAND. As a result there's very little you can do about it other than find 3rd party independent, substantial and non-trivial references from established sources (not blogs or fan websites etc). --WebHamster 23:54, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:DBTTT.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:DBTTT.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:46, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

St Mungo's Primary School[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article St Mungo's Primary School, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of the page. B. Fair use rationale for Image:Blackrain.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Blackrain.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. FAC: The Bhoys from Seville[edit]

As you are probably aware, editors nominating articles for FAC are expected to respond to criticisms and work the article up accordingly. From the lukewarm reception this article has had so far, it seems extremely unlikely that it will be promoted to featured article in the current nomination. Unfortunately, it seems that The Bhoys from Seville has been nominated at WP:FAC prematurely. FAC is a tricky business and is best embarked on after peer reviews, copy-editing and an edit for MoS compliance. I was wondering whether you'd consider withdrawing the article, in the meantime, from the FAC process to enable you to do the necessary and time-consuming work away from the pressures and limelight. As early response to withdrawal goes a long way to preserving reviewers' goodwill for future nominations. It also has the benefit of freeing up reviewers for other articles. It is easy to withdraw an article, you can either leave a message here confirming that that is what you wish or you can leave:

Withdrawn ~~~~ here.

Thank you for your time and all the best, --ROGER DAVIES talk 11:00, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your message. Withdrawing is very easy.
Just cut and paste this text: :Withdrawn ~~~~
just above your nomination on this page.
I can then do the rest. --ROGER DAVIES talk 16:14, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I have started the withdrawal procedure: a bot will run shortly to take care of the rest. Please do not remove the {{fac}} template on the article's talk page as the bot will remove it. Good luck in working up the article! --ROGER DAVIES talk 16:30, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Footballers' infobox stats[edit]

Hi, when you update player stats in the infobox, please would you also remember to update the "pcupdate" date at the same time. You can do this easily by typing ~~~~~ after where it says "pcupdate=" instead of the date that's already there. The system will turn this into the current date and time. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 14:33, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

January 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Glasvegas has been reverted.

Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \byoutube\.com (links: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=3usdqxkabfu, http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=cmt418tyria, http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=6vpkq4vl1vk, http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=do-gojfxmok, http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=5cfyp-nrlkg). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. Video links are also strongly deprecated by our guidelines for external links, partly because they're useless to people with slow internet connections.

If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 20:33, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:JSHTE.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:JSHTE.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:09, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:JSMOTW.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:JSMOTW.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Keep Calm And Carry On[edit]

Hi, I have moved your Stereophonics article Keep Calm And Carry On to Keep Calm and Carry On (album) and replaced the original with a redirect to the WWII poster article Keep Calm and Carry On (notice lower case "a" in "and"). I have gone through all the Stereophonics articles that previously linked to Keep Calm And Carry On and changed all their links to Keep Calm and Carry On (album). I have also added a disambiguation link to the poster article Keep Calm and Carry On which directs Stereophonics fans to the album page. Hope this is OK. File:Bobobalde.jpg missing description details[edit]

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as File:Bobobalde.jpg is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors to make better use of the image, and it will be more informative for readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

File source problem with File:Jonnytuffey.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Jonnytuffey.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:57, 10 January 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 16:57, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

UK Singles Chart Figures[edit]

I was uncertain as to whether it was you who edited The Courteeners discography by inputting number 114 as the chart placement for Take Over The World. If it was in fact you, I was wondering that if you had a reliable source for chart placements from 101-200, would you mind inputting such data into other articles, including Mumford & Sons with single Roll Away Your Stone. If you could do this, it would much be appreciated.

Thank you very much for inputting the figure. If it is not too much to ask, could you perhaps edit the figure after the Top 200 are revealed later today. After their Glastonbury performance, I'm expecting that the single chart placement will rise.

Sorry to ask on you again, but I was wondering if you had figures for a while back, Vampire Weekend's Giving Up The Gun and Holiday both have low peaks and I know that they must be higher than what is currently noted on their discography.

Thank you,

SLlewellyn7

Reviewer[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Tiptoety talk 15:16, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Four Stops and Home has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

It does not seem to be notable as required by WP:NALBUMS. I would have redirected the article but they are a notable band so I may have missed a review somewhere etc.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Syed Ahmed requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Leaky Caldron 19:53, 19 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Syed Ahmed for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Syed Ahmed is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Syed Ahmed (2nd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Leaky Caldron 20:08, 19 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Regen Rovers requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". The article Jamie Glasgow has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:FOOTYN. He has never played in a fully professional match. Highest level he has played in is the fourth tier in Scotland.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did on Scott Brown (footballer, born June 1985). This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Mattythewhite (talk) 22:46, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited It's a Beautiful World, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Holy Mountain (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Infobox timestamps[edit]

Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. Welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions were not quite right. When updating statistics within the infobox of a footballer, please make sure you update the timestamp at the same time, so that both readers and fellow editors know when the information was last updated.

You can do this by replacing the existing timestamp within the |club-update= or |pcupdate= parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update= or |ntupdate= parameter for international stats. For articles that use a DMY date format, use five tildes (~~~~~), or for MDY dates, use {{subst:mdytime}}. This will generate the specific time the update was made.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you, Mattythewhite (talk) 20:57, 19 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
