Your contributed article, Formanites[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Formanites. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Forman Christian College. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Forman Christian College - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Quiggers1P (talk) 14:31, 9 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The information on the page was already included in the main article of the school. If you want to add alumni or any other information, you should add them to the article of the school. Quiggers1P (talk) 14:46, 9 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Ravians article should not be on Wikipedia and I will get that merged into the main school. I understand your concern but there is no point in having two near-identical lists, you can mention the nickname on the school's article without any issues. Altered speedy deletion rationale: Rejathsopanam[edit]

Hello Assassin's Creed. I am just letting you know that I deleted Rejathsopanam, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided, which doesn't fit the page in question. Thank you. Salvio Let's talk about it! 15:21, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

July 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. However, I noticed that your username (Assassin's Creed) may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it sounds like a reference to the video game, Assassin's Creed. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Thank you. Marcus Qwertyus 01:43, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

AfD[edit]

At this moment, could you please stop nominating article for deletion. Instead, familiarize yourself with articles already nominated. See why and how the process is conducted. Please read Wikipedia deletion policy and Wikipedia:Guide to deletion before nominating deletions. You must give a reason why the article should be deleted. Also, remember to Wikipedia:Please do not bite the newcomers... putting up and AfD 10 minutes after the article is created for having no references is not good. Bgwhite (talk) 04:46, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You obviously don't agree with this by removing it from your talk page.
Please see WP:BEFORE on what to do before doing an AfD. Especially note where it states, "If the article was recently created, please consider that many good articles started their Wikilife in pretty bad shape. Unless it is obviously a hopeless case, consider sharing your reservations with the article creator, an associated WikiProject, or on the article's talk page, and/or adding a cleanup tag, instead of bringing the article to AfD. If the article can be fixed through normal editing, then it is not a good candidate for AfD.".
Also states: "Before nominating due to sourcing or notability concerns, make a good-faith attempt to confirm that such sources don't exist." Bgwhite (talk) 05:09, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry, I have read that and I'll never again do this mistake, mistake happen by me, I am agree for this. Thankyou for advice and helping me.--AssassiN's Creed (talk) 05:13, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You are new to AfD. Things like this will happen and we all make mistakes. You have made some good nominations for speedy deletion. I've also noticed you put the autobiography tag on some articles incorrectly. Teemu Metso's article stands out. The creator of the article is a seasoned editor who creates alot of Ice Hockey articles. Just slow down and learn first and you will be fine. You may be interested in joining Wikipedia:New pages patrol. They have tools to help out looking at new pages. Also, Special:NewPages is a great place to start looking at all the new pages created. Please, if you have questions on anything, don't hesitate to contact me. Bgwhite (talk) 05:30, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Bgwhite offered good advice above. I've just been looking at another article that you took to AfD today: Koron (music). You opened the AfD discussion 7 minutes after the article was created. As was noted yesterday on another AfD, it is debatable whether it is good practice to take an article to AfD minutes after its creation. In this case, I also note that during that 7 minutes you had edited 2 other articles. That is insufficient time to have read, digested and followed WP:BEFORE. Naujawan Bharat Sabha[edit]

I have edited the page. Kindly remove the speedy deletion tag. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rajayuv (talkcontribs) 06:49, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have edited the page and rewritten it in my own words please remove the tag. ! Rajayuv (talk) 06:58, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, you can't A7 a school. There are some quite arbitrary rules on speedying, and that's one - it actually says it on the pink box (near the top). You can use PROD or Afd on school articles. Peridon (talk) 10:41, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hardly spam... Have another look and another try. Peridon (talk) 11:56, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think this is an advertising article.--AssassiN's Creed (talk) 11:59, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Have you actually read it? It's borderline on attack! Peridon (talk) 15:40, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

But I think this is like a video streaming website, and this is an advertise.--AssassiN's Creed (talk) 15:49, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not everything about websites is advertising. Yes, this is a streaming video site. But they're not being very polite about it... Peridon (talk) 18:41, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Autobiography tagging[edit]

Hello, I noticed you placed a tag on an article about someone who died in 1948. That tag called the article an autobiography and indicated that there were biography of a living person concerns. Please do not use this tag on articles about people who have died. Please be careful to use tags only when appropriate to the specific case. I removed the tag. On another matter, I see that another editor has expressed concern that your user name is the name of a video game. My concern is that new editors may be intimidated by your name when you are trying to delete their articles. I suggest you consider a username change. Just my thought. Cullen328 (talk) 14:05, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I declined your speedy deletion request. Notability is claimed as the founder of that company. However, it is highly questionable. I encourage you to list it at AfD. LadyofShalott 15:19, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

But Sir, this article has invalid reference, [1] check it and tell that He is it or another man, I reference site name of person is "LOUIS PADULO". Thanks for guide.--AssassiN's Creed (talk) 15:23, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
First, I'm not a sir (look at my username :) ). Second, the source you found is just for another person. It has no bearing on the subject of this article. question is for the father of the article subject. Third, the speedy deletion tag you used is specifically for there being no claim of notability, which this article does have. LadyofShalott 15:28, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ok sorry Mam, but this biography article of a living person should be deleted for giving no references or giving improper references, thanks.--AssassiN's Creed (talk) 15:36, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
As I said initially, I encourage you to take it to WP:AfD. LadyofShalott 15:43, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I started Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Robert Padulo. LadyofShalott 17:45, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Inappropriate tags on article Norman Criddle[edit]

This is the second time in 48 hours you have placed inappropriate tags on an article I started. The article Norman Criddle clearly does not violate NPOV policy, and it has 5 references in 6 inline citations for 6 sentences so it clearly doesn't need additional references. Over the weekend you put 5 inappropriate tags on my article Carpenter's Chameleon. They were removed and evidence of my query to your talk page has been removed too. It's looking like you are the one who is violating NPOV policy and you are targeting my articles in a deliberate fashion. I would welcome your justification for your actions. Cohee (talk) 17:51, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

autobiography tagging[edit]

Please stop from using the autobiography tag. Roos Vermeij, Nastja Kolar, Juha-Pekka Pietila, Lee Yong-Soo (footballer), Hamdi Abu Golayyel and Norman Criddle were tagged by you today and not one should have been tagged. All were done by experienced editors that have no connection with the subject of the article. Also many were tagged with refimproveBLP. For example, Nastja Kolar is a tennis player. Two references were given to Tennis organization that prove she is a player and notable. Nothing about the article suggests the articles was edited "by the subject or an institution related to the subject"... thus it doesn't warrant autobiography tag. The two refs given prove everything in the article, thus refimproveBLP tag isn't needed.

Also you did another AfD that relies on not references given. As I said yesterday, doing an AfD solely on the article not having references is not a reason for an AfD. There has to be a reason why the subject of the article is not notable. There are plenty of references out there on the web about Chamberlain. The question is does he meet notability guidelines for golf? In Chamberlain's case, no. He has not been on the European tour for atleast a year and has not won a tournament... This is the reason to bring to AfD and not that references are not given. Please, please be more careful. Bgwhite (talk) 17:58, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I did not find any references on this article of a biography so I put tag of nominating.--AssassiN's Creed (talk) 22:39, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Assassin, this is the third time I've written about this. DO NOT put an article up for AfD just because it is missing references. There other avenues you should do first. Otalvora's article was created less than 30 minutes before you did an AfD. Again, please read WP:BEFORE especially where it says, "Before nominating due to sourcing or notability concerns, make a good-faith attempt to confirm that such sources don't exist."
If you want to nominate another article for AfD, please contact me first. Leave your rational for wanting to delete it. Then we can discusses if/why off the case. Bgwhite (talk) 23:03, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ok next time I'll discuss.--AssassiN's Creed (talk) 05:40, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Faisal Movers requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Thanks for doing the CSD on Smart Mark Radio. I was debating whether to do it myself, as the content looked copy-pasted, but alas the whole article is a promotion. BigDwiki (talk) 07:58, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Word to the wise (I hope...)[edit]

I've just declined another of your speedies - you can't nominate a recording under A7. Please do take some time out from patrolling to read the CSD criteria thoroughly. If you don't, I fear you might find yourself with an enforced time-out. A7 is for people, groups of people, companies and clubs - note they all are made up of people. The only exception is websites and such (which don't contain people, of course). Products, buildings, rocks, recipes, philosophical ideas, records - none of these are to be speedied under A7. Peridon (talk) 11:17, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The series of comments on your talk page is very telling. I have to agree with Peridon. Stop listing things for deletion at all for a while. Carefully read the speedy deletion criteria, and study how other people tag things for deletion. Also, go participate in AfD for a while. If you do these things, you'll get a better idea of how deletion nominations really work around here. LadyofShalott 12:13, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please Fix your User Page! :)[edit]

Hi... I recieved a couple of messages on my talk page today and couldn't figure out why. They seem to be directed to you for edits/comments that you have made on articles. I've discovered that the link on your user page (If you have any question please ask it on my talk page) leads to MY talk page for some reason. Can you please change that? And you might want to take a look at the messages at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks!  :) Wikipelli Talk 12:44, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Mohammed dolphin[edit]

Hello Assassin's Creed, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Mohammed dolphin, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: asserts notability "he is rated as one of the top ten music producers in the Middle-East." converting to BLPPROD. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. SmartSE (talk) 13:48, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined[edit]

Hi again, AC. I have just declined your speedy deletion request for Robert Kerr (Musician and Composer). You tagged that with A7, but there is plenty claim of notability in that article to make A7 not at all appropriate. Please stop tagging things for speedy deletion at this point. LadyofShalott 14:07, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

But its references don't give the proper information. --AssassiN's Creed (talk) 14:09, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That's a different problem. It is not what A7 is for. It is not a speedy deletion issue at all. LadyofShalott 14:39, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ok tell which tag should be put on these articles. Shinya Deguchi and Group Discussion. tell me please.--AssassiN's Creed (talk) 14:41, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Replied to this cmt. at my talk page. LadyofShalott 15:20, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Deletions[edit]

There are three main ways of getting things deleted. There is Speedy Deletion, which has numbered and labelled categories. These are very limited in nature, and don't allow for much discretion. As I explained above, you can A7 speedy things with people in (like a company), but not the things the company makes. The db-reason one is to be avoided until you are an expert. All these are described on Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion. I used to keep a copy of this open when I started patrolling - and still refer to it as an admin. Speedy is a shortcut to tell the admins that there seems to be a certain problem that is very obvious, and the admin then makes a decision as to what to do. For things like notability and references, or not so obvious hoaxes, or anything else not in speedy's area, Proposed Deletion is the thing to use. This gives time for the author to fix the problem. If nothing has been done in a week (or 10 days for BLP), the article is liable to be deleted. If the PROD tag is removed without the problem going too, Articles for Deletion is the thing. Please take note of what we are telling you - we are not trying to drive you away. We are trying to help you to get it right more of the time. You do get it right quite often, but the ones you get wrong are ones you shouldn't be getting wrong. Follow some editors like User:Shirt58 or User:Reaper Eternal to name but two of the regular patrollers. See what they tag and work out why they've done it. If the article disappears from their contribs list, it's been deleted. If it doesn't, see why in the history. Ask questions. Most admins are willing to help, and so are many of the patrollers. Go into Articles for deletion and read the discussions. But do have a break from tagging while you do this. You are young and enthusiastic - so is a young doctor straight out of medical school. Is he allowed to do heart transplants right away? No. He has to watch for some time, and then he may be allowed to stitch one chest up. Watch what we do. Look at the articles listed at Category:Candidates for speedy deletion. (That didn't want to display.) See what they are tagged. See what the result is. Do this for about a week - and ask if you're not sure why an admin made her/his decision. We would much rather you were a nuisance in that way than by flinging tags around like bread to ducks. Peridon (talk) 16:44, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I understand, now I have to break tagging for some days, ok. Thanks for guiding me.--AssassiN's Creed (talk) 16:50, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Please do stop nominating things for deletion for a little while. Participate in some AfDs. Ask questions - of me, Peridon, and other editors. Follow the other advice of Peridon above. You are enthusiastic, which is good, but you need to slow down a bit. Being unreferenced is not enough of a reason, in and of itself, for something to be deleted. WP:BEFORE is important to read and follow. If a biography of a living person does not have references, consider using the tag {{subst:prodblp}} rather than either a speedy deletion tag or going to AfD - this gives other editors ten days to find and add references for the article. Also, I wonder if you are aware of the difference between general biography and autobiography - at least one of your AfD listings (for Pradeep Baliyan) called the article an autobiography when there is no evidence that is the case. LadyofShalott 22:59, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Help[edit]

Hi... I took the liberty of changing the link on your userpage which incorrectly lead users to MY talk page instead of yours. Judging by the design and color on your page, I assume that you might have copy/pasted some code from mine. I hope you don't mind.

On the subject of your message on my talk page (User_talk:Wikipelli#Help), I believe that the administrators and other editors have made attempts to help you. I haven't checked your edits, but I have seen that they have provided you with links to articles in Wikipedia that will help you understand the process of editing, reviewing, and tagging articles for deletion. One editor even offered to help you if you put your concerns on their page first and they would discuss it with you.

Unfortunately, it is NOT an exact science! :) There are nuances that you need to become familiar with when marking articles for deletion. References are critical in Wikipedia, but there are times when an editor is creating an article and they haven't had the opportunity to include them. What I do is initially check a new article for notability more than for references. You should give an author time to add references to articles before tagging for deletion.

Please go slow. :) Look at how other editors do it... ask questions... seek advice... Above all else, take advantage of the links that others have included above. Please leave a message on my talk page anytime if you have questions. I don't know everything, but I might be able to help! Cheers! Wikipelli Talk 16:57, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again AC. I declined your speedy deletion request for this article on the basis that being the wife of a county's ruler is enough of a claim of notability that the A7 criterion does not apply. I did add the {{unreferenced}} tag because of the lack of references. Note that no references is not sufficient grounds for an article to be speedily deleted. LadyofShalott 17:18, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: ab.cd[edit]

Re your message: I don't see any warnings about copyright issues for the article. There is enough context to identify the subject, but the notability is not clearly established so I have changed the CSD tagging to {{db-web}}. Let's give the editor a moment to see if they contest the deletion and try to fix the article. I left the editor a note about it. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:21, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

ok sir, thanks.--AssassiN's Creed (talk) 05:26, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The article just got deleted. A chunk of the article was copied from bitly. I suspect the editor of the article, who also appears to be the owner of the service, used the bitly article as a basis for this article and then thought their bit.ly Pro feature sounded pretty good. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:59, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Article : Neerja Raman[edit]

Hi Assassin's Creed, This is user Dell335, i am new to wikipedia and have been editing some of the articles for some time now. This article Neeraja Raman has sufficient grounds for having been created, she is a 'Notable' person and has made considerable contributions to her field.if you have any doubt google her.I have added references, but i understand that may be i need to re edit it.I can see that you have found some problems with the article ,if so why don't you help me in creating it.This is my first article that i am doing from scratch.I did go through the 'new article wizard' also.as for the copy rights ,if i email her and ask her consent ,will that do ?.

A10 tag[edit]

I have removed the speedy deletion tag that you added on the page Christopher John Hall. I can see that the author tried move the content to a new page with a new title, and I will soon notify him about this. You nearly got it right, however, the last thing you should check before applying A10 is the page histories for both articles and see which one is smaller. The page with the same content but with a smaller history record can be nominated for speedy deletion. What I also did was to request speedy deletion to the Christopher Hall (producer) article per CSD G6 so that we can keep the full history log when the Christopher John Hall page gets moved to its new location. Zendo USA[edit]

Assasin's Creed,

The Zendo USA website you had revised was an experimental design that was not meant to be published.

Zendo USA, nor any of its members, are in the market to self promote.

The page will be cleaned up as soon as we learn how to code in Wikipedia, and the necessary changes will be made to show that the nonprofit, charitable organization is notable and not lookign for any form of self promotion.

Thank you for you consideration!

csd rationale[edit]

I'm concerned about the handling of Elliot Stone. You tagged it as A1, but did you notice that an IP had blanked the page? The original page was not much of an article, and may deserve CSD, but I don't see a valid reason for the blanking, so I'd prefer that you rollback the IP edit as vandalism, then decide what should be the right action for the page. Do you agree? (I'm removing the CSD, so it doesn't get accidentally deleted by someone not paying attention.)--SPhilbrickT 13:23, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've now looked at the article talk page - not entirely sure what is happening, but I don't agree the blanking was warranted.--SPhilbrickT 13:40, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

National Institute of Technology, Arunachal Pradesh[edit]

Don't play with Speedy Deletion tag, the article you tagged was just of two line stub, and you called it exclusively promotional, how you even got reviewer privilege. — Bill william comptonTalk 14:21, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that Public art in Johannesburg should be CSD'd, but check the history., The editor created a page, then appears to change their mind and blanked it. This means the page should be deleted, as a CSD G7. I applaud your suggestion hat it should be merged, but note that the same editor created the page you suggest. They simply created an article with the wrong title, and didn't have the ability to move it, so started over. --SPhilbrickT 14:44, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. LadyofShalott 22:36, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have made a suggestion at the ANI discussion that you stop patrolling new articles until you have read the instruction pages at WP:NPP, WP:DELETION, and WP:CSD. These pages are often quite hard to understand, and I wold be ready to help you understand them. After that you will be able to continue patrolling new pages. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 02:15, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please be more careful when applying the BLPPROD tag to pages. This page had references; the editor who created it simply forgot to include the

template, as the error message displayed on the page clearly indicated. When you come across a page like this, it is not appropriate to apply the BLPPROD tag. Instead, you should simply and the

template, or perhaps the tag, in an appropriate location in the article. It's usually a good idea to add a References header as well. Hullaballoo Wolfowitz (talk) 02:01, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Assassin's Creed. Please be sure to read my message above (ANI) and to continue to follow the discussion there about your patrolling. Thanks. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 02:17, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

NPP[edit]

Thank you for accepting my suggestion of NPP training. This is on the condition that you stop patrolling while we work on this together. On my talk page I have given you a link to the training page which also has a list of things for you to read first. Even if you have read them before, please read them again. Let me know on my talk page when you have read them, then we'll start. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 04:19, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A second look please...[edit]

I would ask that you revisit Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Yoon Kye-sang and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Christopher John Hall and the articles themselves to see that your concerns as nominator of these new articles has been addressed. You might perhaps even consider a withdrawal. Thank you, Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 06:51, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Might you please consider withdrwing these nominations now that your concerns have been addressed? Thanks. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 21:10, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Good Luck[edit]

I have enormous respect for Kudpung. I'm happy you accepted the mentorship, I see good things coming of it.--SPhilbrickT 14:33, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Otalvora´s article[edit]

Hi. The article Edgar C. Otálvora have references now. Thanks. Luis ciudad vaca (talk) 23:46, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

AC, perhaps you would consider withdrawing the nomination for deletion? LadyofShalott 00:13, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Done.--AssassiN's Creed (talk) 02:47, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, but actually, that wasn't how to do it. You just deleted the AfD notice from the article - and I had to reverse that. To withdraw an AfD nomination, you must comment in the AfD discussion saying just that. Then let an uninvolved editor close the AfD. LadyofShalott 03:20, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

_________________ Hi. Already worked on the article Edgar C. Otálvora on their instructions. Thank for your help.

Greetings! I see you have recently created one or more new stub templates or categories. As it states at Wikipedia:Stub, at the top of most stub categories, and in many other places on Wikipedia, it is recommended that new stub types be proposed prior to creation at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals. This helps to reach consensus about whether the new stub type is already covered by existing stub types, whether it is named according to stub naming guidelines, whether it is otherwise correctly formatted, whether it reaches the standard threshold for creation of a new stub type, and whether it crosses existing stub type hierarchies. Your new stub type is currently listed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Discoveries, where comments are welcome as to any rationale for this stub type. Please, in future, consider proposing new stub types first at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals! This message is a boilerplate, left here as a courtesy, and should not be considered personal in nature. Grutness...wha? 02:14, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

But how to propose that?--AssassiN's Creed (talk) 02:54, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
As Grutness said, at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 03:04, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly - the instructions are at the top of that page, and it's all pretty easy to do. I'd also suggest reading WP:Stub, especially the part about WikiProjects and assessment templates - it gives a useful alternative to stub templates for WikiProjects. Grutness...wha? 04:05, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thanks.--AssassiN's Creed (talk) 04:09, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Assassin, you are still creating category and template stubs and have not submitted a proposal for them. (Category:Pakistani hospital stubs and Template:Pakistan-hospital-stub for example) Please stop creating new stubs. Read what Grutness has written above and start submitting proposals before creating stub. Bgwhite (talk) 09:12, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Assassin, please take the advice you have been given above. Just because we have asked you to stop patrolling new pages is no reason for you to start doing something else wrong. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 09:23, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh sorry sorry, I was forget, I'll never again do this, thanks for remember.--AssassiN's Creed (talk) 11:20, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings! A stub template or category which you created has been nominated for renaming or deletion at Wikipedia:Stub types for deletion. The stub type most likely doesn't meet Wikipedia requirements for a stub type, through failure to meet standards relating to the name, scope, current stub hierarchy or likely size, as explained at Wikipedia:Stub. Please feel free to make any comments at WP:SFD regarding this stub type, and in future, please consider proposing new stub types first at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals! This message is a boilerplate, left here as a courtesy, and should not be considered personal in nature.

Why did you not propose the new stub type as suggested after your last stub creation? I thought I'd made it clear that stub types are always proposed at WP:WSS/P so that they can be discussed! Yet within hours of this you create another stub template and category! Please propose new stub types! Grutness...wha? 01:14, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

And two more! I've rolled back your changes to Pakistan-hospital-stub and Pakistan-road-stub. That's three substantial changes to stub types after you were asked not to! Grutness...wha? 01:27, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Another request from Kudpung[edit]

Please take notice of what people are telling you. I know you mean well, but your edits a becoming disruptive. Please consider adding content to articles and getting more experience before tinkering with technical side of Wikipedia. Stub sorting is already in the hands of some very competent experts - you have enough to learn for the moment getting your tagging problems sorted out. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 06:19, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am understanding that problems and I promised you that I'll never again do that until you don't make me expert. But can I help Wikipedia in expanding its articles?--AssassiN's Creed (talk) 06:47, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Of course you can :) That's what most people do here, and it's the best contribution you can make. Do be careful though, and remember to add reliable sources to anything you add.--Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 06:57, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I am doing, and now I am busy in reading New pages patrol as you suggest.--AssassiN's Creed (talk) 07:13, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I notice you haven't visited this page yet and answered the questions. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 07:29, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No no, firstly I am reading the pages you suggest then I'll answer your questions. Is it ok?--AssassiN's Creed (talk) 07:33, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that's fine - take your time. By the way, did you read Wikipedia:WikiProject and Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals before creating your project? Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 10:08, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
After reading New Pages Patrol I'll read these all, kindly tell me one thing that you are now online but your talk page status shown sleeping.--AssassiN's Creed (talk) 10:11, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I know, but I have an irregular sleep pattern and I sometimes forget to change it. I'll try to remember. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 10:36, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Check it User:Kudpung/NPP mentoring, but I am still reading pages you suggest. I am going outside for 3 or 4 hours.--AssassiN's Creed (talk) 11:10, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Are you using a bot to rapidly nominate things for deletion?[edit]

AssassiN's Creed has agreed to some mentoring concerning his tagging and nominating of articles, so this is being dealt with. (The AfD you link to, pre-dated that agreement.) I think it was a case of working too quickly, rather than using a bot. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 21:41, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, Demiurge1000 is right, I am now doing mentoring for it. I am under training now. After it I'll be good patroller. Thanks.--AssassiN's Creed (talk) 14:08, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Could you please go back and withdraw any AfD that does not have a justification given on the discussion page? You could start with Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/John Keating (soldier, land developer), which is where I became aware of your extensive AfD activities, because John Keating was from Pennsylvania, and I am working hard on Pennsylvania articles.--DThomsen8 (talk) 18:42, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You did offer a brief justification at the {{afd}} for Mohammad Nasim Faqiri. But I think now that you have reviewed WP:BEFORE, you probably recognize it wasn't a valid justification, and that sufficient valid references existed for this individual. So you might consider returning to that {{afd}} as well. Cheers! Geo Swan (talk) 19:32, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I don't want to pile on, and I see the concerns that brought me here are already being addressed, but please read my closing statement at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mithun Chowdhury Mithun. I know from experience that much time spent dealing with the floods of rubbish at New Page Patrol can easily induce a frame of mind where one's reaction to a new article is not "can something be made of this?" but "how can we get rid of this?" But WP:BEFORE #10 makes a point worth bearing in mind: a look at the history of today's good articles shows that many of them started off in pretty terrible shape. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 19:46, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Done Done Done. Thanks for comments.--AssassiN's Creed (talk) 02:28, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thanks for promptly revisiting the discussion. It's appreciated! Cheers! Geo Swan (talk) 15:37, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Category[edit]

When you create new categories, such as Category:Sindhi dance, could you also put those in categories as well? Otherwise, it would be impossible for one to find or locate them in the first place. Category:Sindhi dance for example can be categorised into Category:Dances of Pakistan, so that when someone browses that category, they can find the Sindhi dance category as a subcategory of it. Autopatrolled[edit]

Hi Assassin's Creed, just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled right to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the patroller right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! FASTILY (TALK) 07:06, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Chiniot Furniture[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Chiniot Furniture. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Chiniot. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Chiniot - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

— RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:37, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Altered speedy deletion rationale: James holmes[edit]

Hello Assassin's Creed. I am just letting you know that I deleted James holmes, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided, which doesn't fit the page in question. Thank you. Salvio Let's talk about it! 12:19, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I thought you weren't going to do any more of that until after your mentoring with Kudpung. As far as I can tell, that's only barely begun. LadyofShalott 12:39, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I request/asked Kudpung for patrol but he did'nt answered me for 2 days, I emailed him too. So I decide to patrol, but I've read the criteria of Patrol, do'nt worry.--Assassin'S Creed (talk) 12:42, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
He told you he'd be away for a little while. You need to give him some more time to respond. It's good that you've read the criteria, but clearly you are still making errors. Please wait for further communication from Kudpung before doing any more NPP or deletion tagging. LadyofShalott 12:48, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I am stopped from tagging, thanks. But say Kudpung to test mine and then let me patrol.--Assassin'S Creed (talk) 12:50, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry, that second sentence is not clear. LadyofShalott 12:53, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry, I mean, I am waiting for his reply, thanks.--Assassin'S Creed (talk) 12:57, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
OK. LadyofShalott 13:09, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Assasin, please do not patrol any more pages. You are not ready yet. You have read the pages I asked you to read but you have still not understood anything. There is no hurry for you to patrol pages, it's a job that has to be done correctly or not done at all. I have just arrived in England and I wil soon start asking you some questions about patrolling new pages, but in the meantime I suggest you go and read those pages again. If you patrol any more pages before I say you are ready, you will risk being blocked from Wikipedia for disruptivw editing. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 09:03, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I was just observing and wanted to suggest, maybe a temporary restriction from Twinkle could be an option.. -- œ 09:48, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have stopped patrolling, I'll start when Kudpung permit me, thanks for advice.--Assassin'S Creed (talk) 10:28, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Categories[edit]

Just a reminder that when it comes to category tags, more specific categories replace less specific categories.

For instance, in your recent edits to Sarah Bates (singer), there was no need to add Category:Dead people, as the page was already tagged with the more specific Category:1811 deaths; and when you added Category:English female singers, you should have removed the less-specific Category:English women and Category:Female singers. —Paul A (talk) 01:44, 4 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Shaukat Ali (politician) has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. WikiProject Wikify's August Newsletter[edit]

Your Wikification Newsletter – Volume I, Issue IV, October 2011

To assist with preparing the newsletter, please visit the newsroom. Past editions may be viewed here.

Hallo AC, I've reverted your edits to this page. Having read the comments above, I think this might be another case where you need to read and learn about WP policies before doing too much editing, and also just go more slowly and make sure that you understand the words you are editing.

There are two main problems:

  • You removed the word "before" from "(before December 20, 1741 - May 18, 1808)". You didn't cite any reference, and I think it very unlikely that you have any source to say that this man was actually born on 20 December 1741. The editor who put "before" probably has evidence that he was baptised on 20 December 1741, or mentioned in a document written that day, or similar. That word "before" is significant, and not a mistake, and you were wrong to remove it: you introduced an error into Wikipedia. It is not the same as "born December 20th", where it would have been correct to remove "born". Please take more care.
  • In general, you have added far too many links. We can assume that a reader of Wikipedia understands words like "chief" and "crisis". Please read WP:LINK and particularly WP:OVERLINK. I will now go back to the article and add links where appropriate - you might like to compare my version with yours.

There are a lot of rules and ways of doing things to learn about in Wikipedia: please slow down and make sure you understand a little more about things before doing so much editing. Thanks. PamD (talk) 16:42, 5 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for advice, but I am trying to slow down and trying to edit correctly, Thanks.--Assassin'S Creed (talk) 16:51, 5 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Good luck with your efforts: there's plenty to learn, take your time.
Another problem with that page: you added the link Unitarian. When you follow that link, it goes to a disambiguation page. The correct link to add was probably General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches, though it's not 100% obvious. When you add a link, please make sure that it goes to the page you expect it to go to - not to a wrong page, not to a disambiguation page. Thanks. PamD (talk) 18:47, 5 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New page patroll[edit]

Hi AC. I'm sorry I have taken a long time to respond to our NPP training programme. I have nevertheless been following your edits very closely. I think you still need to do a lot more basic editing to Wikipedia articles before you return to patrolling new pages. Do take note of advice that you have been given, for example, by Pam, and when I see you are more comfortable with some of our more basic editing principles, I will contact you again. Stop wikifying articles[edit]

Stop it! you're adding wrong information in the articles on the name of wikifying them. How can you add a hyperlink of "Independent school" on an article of "State school", and this is just a little example of your erroneous work. I'm tired of cleaning up your mess. Why don't you take advice of other users and read guidelines. — Bill william comptonTalk 05:49, 7 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wikifying[edit]

Hi AC. Looks like you still have some difficulty understanding the way we work here at Wikipedia. I know you think your are helping Wikipedia, but the point of asking you to stop patrolling new pages was to give you time to read the instructions first. However, you seem to have simply moved on to cause us some headaches in other areas, such as Wikifying. Well, you know, reading instructions applies to everything we do here, and you should not do anything you do not fully understand. Please remember that nobody owns articles and anyone can edit them, even if you were the first person to tag them. You must read WP:OWN. I'm going to ask you now to stop doing any maintenenance tasks to new or any other articles until your have read all the basic instructions. If you don't, I'm afraid we may have to block you from editing in order to stop you making a mess that other editors have to clean up. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 07:05, 7 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

But listen, I have read and I am not wikifying new articles untill I wikify the the articles again which I already wikified. I am understanding, but you can check on log of wikified articles my some articles are not correctly wikified and I am correcting them, thanks.--Assassin'S Creed (talk) 07:13, 7 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The thing is, you don't seem to understand. Please listen to what people are telling you; when multiple people all are saying there is a problem, there is one. LadyofShalott 20:18, 7 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

thomas lowe taylor avant garde poet[edit]

My father just passed recently and i am still waiting for his poetry to be acknowledged .

During my WikiGnome daily routine, I look at any new articles that have been tagged as a biography. I've noticed a fair amount of new articles from you. I don't have a problem with you creating the articles. However, the articles you create could be labeled as needing to be wikified. I updated Mian Amer Mahmood's article. You can see the changes I made here. There are also some English problems, but as I'm a bad writer too, I'm not going to say anything about that. Here are some of the common themes I've noticed in your articles:

  1. The reference comes after punctuation. An example of a reference you would do: "body in Pakistan<ref>reference</ref>." The period should be before the reference and not after.
  2. There should only be one blank line between sections and not two or three blank lines.
  3. You don't need wikilinks in the "See Also" section if they are already given in a small article.
  4. You like adding a Google map link as a reference. It cannot be used as a reference. Instead, you can add it to the top-right corner of the page. Take a look at Lahore and you can see it. In Lahore's case, the coordinates are set in the infobox.
  5. Speaking of infoboxes, you don't need to add every parameter if it is never going to be used. It makes the page source larger than it should and a little more difficult to edit.
  6. When using a reference, only including information from the reference in the article. For example, in Mahmood's article you had, "He is the chairman of Punjab Group of Colleges. He launched it after getting his MBA degree in 1985<ref>..." The reference only had him as chairman of the University of Central Punjab. The reference never mentioned the Punjab Group of Colleges or that he founded the colleges.
  7. Optional. Use templates for references. I added templates to Mahmood's article. The template adds all the information that should be included with a reference, but you don't need to worry about how to format the reference. It is a nice time saver. See WP:CITET for more information.

Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions. I've yet to learn every little thing that should be done with an article... I forget something or some new way gets created. Bgwhite (talk) 01:17, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Bgwhite, I have read the article Mian Amer Mahmood, you have made good contributions to it and wikified it, thanks for that. And thanks for helping me, but if you can see in the reference website, on the right side below the Amer's photo, is written Chairman of Punjab Colleges, Dunya TV, and Allied Schools. I actually write Punjab group of colleges instead of University of central Punjab, because he is actually most famous for Punjab Colleges as I know him, but its good that:
Thanks for it, and I'll remember them again.--Assassin'S Creed (talk) 01:35, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
And also check my this wikified and contributed article Ghulam Farooq Awan and tell me, either correctly wikified and cited or not? If not tell me mistakes, I'll correct them, awaiting reply.--Assassin'S Creed (talk) 03:26, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Much, much better. The changes I made are found here. Some problems I found:
  1. Instead of 4th January 2011, use 4 January 2011. Never add the "th" on the date if you are using the day, month, year.
  2. == Political Career == should be == Political career == . Any words following the first word should be lowercase. The exception is if the word is normally capitalized, then it should also be capitalized in the heading. For example: == Politicians of Pakistan ==
  3. What does LLB mean? I don't know. Spell it out first with the acronym in parenthesis, so the reader knows what the acronym means. For example... He received his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in 1995.
  4. First two references should be {{cite news and not {{cite web. The reason is that a newspaper reference is formatted slightly different.
When I first started out in Wikipedia land, my first experience at writing an article was miserable. If an administrator could do everything wrong to help out somebody new, they did it. I vowed for my next article I would take it to Featured Article status so I could learn the ropes. All the minor problems raised by other editors along the was a great learning experience. I really don't think you should take an article to Featured Article status, but hopefully if an editor is picky or fussy about minor problems in articles you create, you can learn much faster and later be able to know how to wikify other articles. Bgwhite (talk) 08:39, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I understand that, I think I'll be good editor if you help me as now, I hope that. Thanks, and if I have any problems I'll discuss with you.--Assassin'S Creed (talk) 09:11, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The articles for Komal Rizvi and Akhtar Chanal Zahri came my way today. There were no problems that we have discussed about. There was one slight problem with Komal Rizvi's article. In the external links section, her official website was listed. When an official website is listed, then generally the Facebook and Twitter links shouldn't be there. The Perennial websites page has information on when a Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or LinkedIn should or shouldn't be used. I converted the YouTube and Official webpage links to use the Template:YouTube and Template:Official website templates. This is optional and you don't need to do it on other articles. Bgwhite (talk) 23:41, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I understood, thank you Bgwhite.--Assassin'S Creed (talk) 03:54, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Karam Ali Shah came my way. There were no errors found. Really great job. Bgwhite (talk) 08:09, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for encouraging, I am trying my best for it.--Assassin'S Creed (talk) 12:32, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Featured article (FA) is a long and hard process. It takes from 3-4 months to go thru. There will be ALOT of criticism, suggestions and rewrites of the article. There are a couple of stages before reaching FA, including having the article reach Good Article (GA) status. Best I can do is show you other articles about cities that have reached FA or GA. You can then copy what they did. Deogarh, Uttar Pradesh, Kumbakonam, Winnipeg, Boston and Latakia Bgwhite (talk) 09:31, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Categories for discussion nomination of Category:Sheikh people[edit]

Category:Sheikh people, which you created, has been nominated for discussion. If you would like to participate in the discussion, you are invited to add your comments at the category's entry on the Categories for discussion page. Thank you. Pichpich (talk) 19:23, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Creating categories[edit]

Just another advice - when you create categories, check whether similiar ones exist. The Category:Radio shows in Pakistan for example cannot be created and kept as there are no other similiar categories by the name of Category:Radio shows in Country X. We only create categories that are part of a series and correspond with other categories of the same type that have been created before. The content in this category can be moved into Category:Radio stations in Pakistan, because there are other category countries that also exist in this series, as can be seen at Category:Radio stations by country. Mar4d (talk) 12:55, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

But when a category which is not exist and need for articles then we should create it, I think.--Assassin'S Creed (talk) 13:03, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
We can't create any category unless it is part of a series and there are other similiar categories that have been created as part of a series. For example, I created the Category:Government finances in Pakistan only after checking and verifying that there are other country categories, as can be seen in Category:Government finances by country. We cannot create categories randomly; hope that clarifies. Mar4d (talk) 13:18, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have created 2,500+ categories on Wikipedia. You are welcome to ask for assistance or advice, if you require any, when it comes to creating categories. Cheers, Mar4d (talk) 13:20, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It's useful to look around for categories which might be worded slightly differently: I think what you want here is Category:Pakistani radio programs! (I was surprised to read that there were no "Radio shows in country X" categories, and found it by going Category:Radio show stubs and going up and down the tree of categories.) Good luck. PamD (talk) 13:42, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've just found The Sahir Show (radio) by looking for any programmes which had been categorised as "Radio stations in Pakistan". A couple more points you might like to notice if you're interested in Wikifying articles: the title needs to be in italics in the lead sentence, and a sort key is useful so that it files under "S" and not under "T" in any A-Z listing. I've done both of these. PamD (talk) 13:48, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think Assassin's Creed's question (and now mine, because I'm curious) is how is that first category in a series created? There must have been a day when someone created the first Category:Government Finances in country xyz. Is there a project page where consensus for creating a new series of categories is made? Again, just curious. :) Wikipelli Talk 17:19, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes Wikipelli, you are saying exactly what I want to ask. Thanks.--Assassin'S Creed (talk) 17:27, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I understand what you mean. If you read Wikipedia:Categorization#Which categories should be created, it clearly says "Before creating a new category, check whether a similar category already exists under a different name (for example, by looking on the likely member pages or in likely parent categories)." I'm just trying to emphasise that point. Let's, for now, not worry about who creates the "first category in a series" as I frankly think Wikipedia has become plentiful with categorisation and parent categories. We should merely try to replicate (copy) the categories that have already been created. Mar4d (talk) 08:52, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Also see Wikipedia:Overcategorization to understand what kinds of categories should be created and what kinds of categories should not. However, at this stage, I think we should only be concerned about creating 'replica' categories instead of creating new categories that are not part of an established categorisation system. This has been done under section F2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Hello, the idea here is that pictures that are on commons should have categories added on commons and not on the en.wikipedia. You may add project tagging on the talk page if you wish though. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 12:31, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Awan (Pakistan)[edit]

Hi Assassin's Creed, I want to bring to your attention the article, Awan Pakistan, It is requested that an edit be made to this fully protected article.

I have noticed that you have placed tag of Speedy deletion nomination of Awan folk Dances and Awan wedding customs, on the User talk:Zarrigul. This user and one other user :Alamsherkhan, are now ruining an article on Awan tribe.

The article is currently protected from editing until disputes have been resolved, but it has protectected on the wrong version, therefore I want to bring into your notice one thing. The article according to the last edit made by user :Rawalpindi Express contains 41 references, but User:Alamsherkhan deleted first five references in his last edit, and User talk:Black Kite protected the article with only 36 references.

The first line starts with this small sentence “Awan (Urdu: اعوان, Punjabi Gurmukhi ਆਵਾਨ), is a South Asian Zamindar tribe,” And the next para starts with these words “Other theories have been adduced by the Awans” What is first theory?

It is the policy of Wikipedia that, "Good articles start with a brief lead section introducing the topic." Please compare this brief lead section of both versions. The administrator must also see the history of contributions of both users. user :Rawalpindi Express is giving justification in edit summary of every edit, while user :Alamsherkhan is deleting, removing referenced material, referenced citations and referenced quotes from this article without any edit summary, and thus he is engaging in non-constructive vandalism. And User talk:Black Kite has protected the article on his last edit.

user :Rawalpindi Express has long contributing history with positive edits against vandalism, but user :Alamsherkhan is a new user with a history of engaging in non-constructive vandalism.

It is therefore requested that the the article should be restored to the last edit made by user :Rawalpindi Express, so that till the disputes have been resolved, the standard, principles and guidelines of Wikipedia must be maintained.

Jhang & Chiniot Dabs[edit]

Thanks for your attention to the need for Dabs at Jhang (disambiguation) & Chiniot (disambiguation). You probably should also know that Category:Disambiguation is valid for only a couple of dozen pages (other than its sub-Cats) -- none of which are articles or Dabs. And the usually relevant tag {{Dab}} already provides the correct Dab-related Cat. Glad you're interested in the project, and hope to see you more 'round the 'Pedia.
--Jerzyt 22:02, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you are interested in creating dab pages, please have a look at WP:MOSDAB for information on how they should look - eg the way to start the page off when the term being disambiguated is the title of an article, as in these cases. I've modified the two pages to make them conform. PamD 23:08, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Templates[edit]

When you create new templates, remember to categorise them into Category:Pakistan templates. Cheers, Mar4d (talk) 03:28, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of all the credits[edit]

Assassin's Creed, I've removed all the credits from your section of the August wikify drive, and shifted under my userspace, the reason is that most of the articles you touched are in such worse condition that they all need thorough review. The problem is severe because you also add wrong information, to name a few— you even don't know that Botswana is a country not a city/province of South Africa; in your view river, ship, adventure, ill, painting (list is too long) are too uncommon terms that they all need wikilinks; you've made a Tennessean (a state in United States) city Memphis a Tanzanian (a African country) city. I know you'll say that you're trying, learning, etc. But this is my advice that before learning Wikipedia you should concentrate on your school's curriculum, specially subjects like geography, because I'm shocked that you even don't know the difference in between Botswana and South Africa. If [by chance] I find some of the articles in good condition then I'll add them in your section. — Bill william comptonTalk 11:35, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Wikify August Drive[edit]

Hi, I am an officer for Wikiproject Wikify. I wanted to let you know that we have reviewed your logs for the most recent drive. Some articles were wikified enough that we gave you credit for them. We appreciate your contribution to the Project and Wikipedia.

However, there were a number of problems with most of the articles you wikified, and we removed those from the log. If you contribute in the future, please keep these things in mind.

  1. You added too many wiki links. For example, in this article, "South Africa" only needed to be linked once. Also, common words like "farm" do not need to be linked. Review the guidelines at Wikipedia:OVERLINK for more help with this.
  2. Some of your links went to the wrong place. Again, in this article, you linked to Tanzania when you should have linked to Tennessee. When you add a link, you must check that it goes to the correct page.
  3. Some of your contributions were ungrammatical. You may want to try editing Wikipedia in a language you are more familiar with.
  4. References were not always formatted correctly. Please read Wikipedia:Citing sources for help with this.

Again, thank you for your efforts. --Kerowyn Leave a note 21:47, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Zara Durrani has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Dubious notability. Refs are resume-type pages and Gnews turned up only a brief mention of her.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  Mbinebri  talk ← 14:53, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
