No, that's pre-internet era (for most of the Bengali media). At that time it was covered in first pages of all Kolkata newspaper. In each story contained a parts of biography as here, here, here etc! Regarding your comment

in recommending for deletion the page Movement for Change at Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary I have posted the following response:

This article details state and federal investigations regarding the management of funds. Those investigations are not an attack, they are facts. There is a link to one blog, the blog for the Movement for Change at Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary which is what this page is about to begin with. The videos are of local investigative news reports and are NOT unreliable sources and show within them, THEIR proof and sources the direct links to which are not available or in any other format to be linked to here. As this page is only one day old of course edits are still needed, but deletion is uncalled for. Nowhere does it state that Ralph Heath is a bad man, however it does indicate actions known in the community and backed up by witnesses and video which necessitated the Movement in the first place. It would make no sense to talk about a movement for change without detailing the reasons why such a movement exists. Nothing stated in the article is personal opinion. The investigations launched by federal and state agencies are not personal opinions, they are facts. The existence of the yacht bought and upgraded with sanctuary money is not a personal opinion it is a fact. The photos taken of underage girls on the Sanctuary propery are not personal opinion, they are facts. No matter how you detail these facts, one can project that the fact that they are being detailed to begin with is not "neutral" but that is not the case. Facts are facts. Remove the link to the blog for the Movement for Change or questionable language but the investigations and their rulings as well as the videos, if you watched them, you would see are not unreliable sources.   • Response Forthebirds, this specific article is not about the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary, as we already have such an article. Instead it is about the "Movement for Change at Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary". In order for this article to exist on Wikipedia, the specific topic "Movement for Change at Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary" must be notable, which can be summarized as a topic that has received "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject". I see no coverage in reliable sources of the ""Movement for Change at Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary". All I see is a Facebook page, which is neither reliable nor independent. Accordingly, the topic of this article is not notable by Wikipedia's standards, and the article should be deleted. I do not dispute that some of the sources in the article are reliable, but they are sources describing problems at the sanctuary, not this "movement". In addition, I do not dispute the severity of the problems, but that does not justify creating a Wikipedia article about a "movement" that is not notable. Wikipedia is not a soapbox, a battleground, or a vehicle for propaganda, advertising and showcasing. Wikipedia is not a place to right great wrongs. We expect that every article on Wikipedia be written from the neutral point of view and the article fails that test. It may well be that some of this material belongs in the main article about the sanctuary, but that article ought to be about the entire 40 year history of the organization, and not just its most recent chapter.   • Response As I indicated a couple times in our other discussion I am completely open to tweaking and adjusting the wording of the information about Movement for Change at Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary. If you will help me update the SSS page instead of creating a page for the Movement then that is fine. You say as long as I comply 100% with Wikipedias policies which is also fine as long as those policies do allow the facts and their sources to be indicated, which is what was already provided. Facts and sources alone do not create a bias and therefore any accusation of the information provided not being neutral is going to be argued with. I am at work now and will respond at greater length later. In the meantime, please read WP:RS, WP:NPOV and WP:BLP. Videos of news shows hosted on another website are likely copyright violations and we don't link to them. The neutral point of view requires that all significant views be represented. So defenders of the current leadership must be discussed in the article. The biographies of living people policy applies to all mentions of living people. In general, we are very cautious about reporting allegations or accusations about people, even if reported in reliable sources. Not everything reported in newspapers belongs in Wikipedia.

The article on SSS needs references covering the entire history of the group. The current problems can be discussed in the context of that overall history. They should be given due weight.

So If I find text documents or transcripts of the videos would that suffice in place of the videos? Also the last sentence that was inserted (which completely glosI sed over all the actual problems and isn't giving that side its "due weight") is inaccurate in stating employees were laid off. The Tampa Bay Times says "employees have been let go". Wikipedia reports what reliable sources say. The article is a work in progress. I am removing promotional language. I will add more references. I don't know why you are indenting so deeply. Surely, you are more familiar with the local press than I am. You can review the press coverage and suggest a range of sources that will give a well-rounded picture. And, from now on, I ask that your comments indicate that you have read, understood and accept the relevant policies and guidelines of this encyclopedia. Ralph Heath is not a zoologist. Everyone who knows him knows this and it's confirmed by his own mother, Helen Heath. Thank you for your prompt help. I understand. Interestingly, Radiopaedia has contributed images to Commons, together with an e-mail address to request an image. I followed this and their founder and CEO, very helpful gentleman called Frank Galliard, responded at once. I suppose that it was because he was in Australia and replied at 4:00 am that I felt it was a dreadful intrusion by me. Hence, I wondered if there was a less troublesome path. Thanks. How do you boost an article up the google search results?

Hi. Thank you for your work at the Teahouse. Recently you answered User talk:Knhswiki on a topic named: How do you boost an article up the google search results?. The answer was technically correct, but you failed to warn the user (specifically at the user's talk [page) that s/he was in clear violation of the username rules and based on the subject of the post at the TH, it was clear that the intent was not to improve the encyclopedia. I see things a bit differently, though I understand your point. The username policy says that names that "unambiguously consist of a name of a company, group, institution or product" are not permitted. I do not see incorporating the initials of a high school into a username as "unambiguous" in this regard. In all honesty, I didn't even notice the initials until you brought this to my attention. I also disagree that it is "clear" that the editor's intent was not to improve the encyclopedia, as the beginning editor wrote a pretty decent article about their high school, and per WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES, established consensus is that secondary schools are almost inevitably notable enough for an article here. The editor's interest in Google search results is a natural one, and asking a simple question at The Teahouse is encouraged. So, I see that this editor's efforts thus far have improved the encyclopedia, and the editor may well have gone on to write more articles about their community or other areas of interest to them. The article is fine though like many here it could use improvement. Accordingly, I feel no need to issue warnings to this editor, or to report them to an administrative noticeboard. Instead, I encourage you to consider unblocking, under the principle of not biting the newcomers. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 15:57, 18 February 2013 (UTC)
I see your point. Of course schools are not speediable for notability but that is not the case here. Based on your comments I have softened the block. They can now create a new account or request a change of username. Editing with an organization's name (or initials), only editing the article for the organizations (COI) and asking how to improve Google rankings is advertising and it is a violation. They can create a new account, one user, one password per account (i.e. not shared) and they can edit many other articles, or even the school's article as long as they do not do OR, POV, or advertising. I normally assume accounts working on school articles are not COI even if they only work on that article - it's one of the first things that school students starting with Wikipedia decide to improve, and with good reason, since most school articles are dreadful. An old adoptee of mine is a case in point; he edited the article about his school a lot, originally having to be warned off the wrong sort of editing, but he never had a COI; he had no administrative control over the school or financial interest, and in fact moved on to a different school (as planned) within a year. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 19:52, 18 February 2013 (UTC)

Hi Cullen, thanks for the opportunity to respond to your comment on whether to retain the page for Ariel Levinson-Waldman. I suggest it be retained. First, the page is validly sourced -- an article from the Washington post, a quote from a tribute to Levinson-Waldman by members of Congress taken directly from the linked page of the Congressional Record, an article in Rollcall magazine about Levinson-Waldman's work in Congress, and cites to faculty bio website pages the websites of two established law schools where he is on the faculty -- Georgetown University Law Center and the University of the DIstrict of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law. Second, I suggest that the matters of public importance described on the page that he has worked on have, contrary to one person's suggestions, been quite "notable", and will be of interest to wikipedia readers over time. The coverage in Roll Call is routine local coverage. The blog mention in the Washington Post is just a passing mention related to the job and includes no biographical information. Hey, Cullen! I saw your post on Drmies's talk page (and noticed your rollback slip, too, actually). No worries, of course; happens to all of us! I have a little CSS snippet that can hide the rollback link on the watchlist but leave it intact on other pages; you could consider that as an alternative to giving up rollback entirely. Not that it's the most useful or important permission ever, but I've found it surprisingly handy at times, and almost all of my misclicks come from the watchlist only. The CSS is: 

body[class~=page-Special_Watchlist] .mw-rollback-link {display: none;}

Theory of Everything Publication

Dear Jim,

I handed over the theory on Monday to the University of Manchester theoretical physics department. I live in Romiley so it's only a 25 minute train ride away to Piccadilly. It's a real shame that you don't have some kind of scientific forum that new ideas can be discussed in. I'll persevere with the theory. But I wanted very much to put it out there. Even having just a few people read it and respond to it's contents is enough for me at the moment. It might be rubbish, of course, in which case it could be argued that never seeing the light of day with this is the best outcome. However, it might be true and in that case I wanted to involve Wikipedia from the outset, just for the record, you understand. I start rehearsing for 'Harvey' on Sunday and am really looking forward to the chance to play 'Elwood', maybe you're familiar with the James Stewart film of the same name. Anyway, thankyou very much for responding so quickly to my question. I just stumbled upon the section this morning and felt I had to participate. Interwiki links

Hey Jim,

Sorry to bug ya. I'm starting a piece on the poet Virgilia D'Andrea today and I'll be damned if I can figure out how to insert interwiki links to the Italian WP (for http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virgilia_D'Andrea ). There used to be a big long list of inter-wiki links at the bottom of each page, I recall, now these seem to be invisible. Do you know anything about this? Best, —Tim . It ain't bugging, because I will always try to help help when I can. The wiki computer code related stuff is not one of my strong points, but I did notice this one. My understanding is that a new project called Wikidata is supposed to automate some aspects of this process. There are instructions on how to generate the interwiki links for a new article. I haven't yet done it, so can't offer any tips. But I have noticed it happening automatically in recent weeks on a lot of articles I follow. I hope it goes smoothly for you. Take care.

Thanks for stopping by my talk page. Roy Maloy's admirers are not the first, and won't be the last, to attempt to use a Wikipedia page for promotional purposes. I intend to keep an eye on the article and try to keep it neutral and properly referenced. It still needs work, but I think the worst of the promotional language is out. If I thought things were futile, I would stop editing Wikipedia. But I continue, and I hope you will too. You are always welcome to discuss your concerns with me. Take care. Having dealt with him before, in my opinion, Jmh has a severe conflict of interest. He is probably a paid editor, based on the extreme positions he frequently takes, and also the extreme amount of time he spends maintaining propaganda. How can he be a practicing DR if he's always working in Wikipedia? Although I disagree with the speedy deletion rationale, I am happy to see the article go. If the description of NIE (weekly magazine) as a publication that is "satirical" and "vulgar' is accurate, then I simply don't see how it can be used as a reliable source about a topic that has severe BLP issues. A totally innocent person is the victim of this meme, and I don't see how the meme itself can be separated somehow from the person whose face adorns it. Hello James, You may have misunderstood my comment. It isn't that I couldn't find references to your work: columns in The Telegraph, items about your books, and so on. I saw plenty of that. But what I couldn't find was coverage in independent, reliable sources about you as a biographical subject. For example, an article in a newspaper or magazine you don't write for, that discusses your background and accomplishments, giving significant coverage to you as the topic. The sort of sources that establish notability by Wikipedia's standards. Please feel free to produce such sources, if they exist. I have also responded on your talk page, giving links to policies and guidelines. I wish you well, and will change my opinion if I see high quality sources. Toby Higbie of the UCLA History Dept. is going to have a course in the coming term (begins Tuesday) in which he's going to assign each person in his 100 student class to write or improve a Wikipedia article on the biography of a labor or political leader, union, or other political institution. I've told him I'd try to round up four or five sympathetic Wikipedians to be available to answer any questions the students during the term. The assignment is due May 30 and college students being college students, it can reasonably be expected that the bulk of the queries will happen in the week or two prior to that date. I would look for academic books about racial slurs using a Google Books search and/or a visit to a major library. I use the Google News Archive tool available at Articles for Deletion debates to find old newspaper articles. Just change the search terms to words like wetback, slur, racism, controversy to find coverage of earlier notable incidents. I will look a bit tonight. Just while we are on the same page, I'll also suggest you don't rain on her parade while she realises about this world of Wikipedia. I certainly wanted those flashy nice signatures the first time I saw them. Now that I think of it, maybe I didnt, but that's irrelevant to the point I'm making. Let me be clear, Miss Bono. I am not saying that you aren't mature enough to be a wonderful contributor to Wikipedia. Hello Northamerica1000, I have tomorrow's breakfast already planned. Home brewed coffee with an ample splash of half and half. A smallish glass of orange juice. A breakfast sandwich consisting of a toasted whole grain English muffin, one egg gently fried over easy, a vegetarian sausage patty, and a slice of gooey organic American cheese. Call it a politically correct McMuffin. We will be on the road early to visit an art museum, and then later attend a speech on the history of religion from an atheist perspective. Kenny Anderson(basketball)

Zagalejo locked the page and of course reverted it to his version. That is a very bias action.
We were going back and forth over the article. Info I added Zagaeljo didnt like and would remove.
When I asked why, Z said it wasnt sourced. Did Z make any attempts to source? not all all! Z just repeatedly reverted. I solely found sources for the information. And yet that still wasnt good enough for Z.
All information I added is cited from washpost, nypost, latimes, and court documents. Z may not like that the info shows that kenny was reckless and an adultery but that is fact.
Wiki doesnt hide the affairs of Elizabeth taylor, not Ingrid Berman nor Angelina jolie, so why should Kenny get a pass ?

It is not Wikipedia's role to portray a person as "wreckless" or that he is guilty of "adultery". Wikipedia is not a tabloid or a gossip website. Our biographies should be overviews of a person's entire life and career, and not give undue weight to negative gossip. Accordingly, an article about a movie star should cover mostly their acting and roles. And one about an NBA player should mostly be about basketball. We don't dwell on titillating personal details. Taylor and Bergman are dead so WP:BLP does not apply. There is one paragraph in Angelina Jolie about the scandal when she got involved with Brad Pitt. One paragraph in a very lengthy biography with 138 references that quite properly focuses mostly on her film career. Please read WP:UNDUE. also please realize that the fact that Wikipedia may have poor content in article A and B, is not an argument for adding poor content to article C. Giving back

When I first started writing, three different for profit agents (for Corporations) and one non-profit (Consumer Reports) solicited me by email to work FOR THEM. When I read articles where I have depth of knowledge, I find great bias in favor of financial interest over scholarly review. You are wrong to say in effect then just give up. Jmh649 is at it again! I have been very fortunate in life, and am proud to give back via wikipedia. But, I have found at least two writers (I now find are Administrators) who have caused factual harm to content. Now I ask again, isn't there a body within wikipedia or it's Foundation that monitors for conflict of interest?32cllou (talk) 18:00, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

The place to have conflict of interest charges against specific editors investigated is the Conflict of interest noticeboard. Simply being a physician, or saying that one is a physician, does not establish a conflict of interest regarding a medical topic. You have to have very strong evidence of misconduct, and please be aware that conflict of interest editing that improves the encyclopedia is not forbidden, though it is subject to heightened scrutiny.
