Page deleted for advertising[edit]

Hello Deb, could you please undelete the page Maison Atia. I was editing it as per the notes from user:hitroMilanese. I tried to use the same language that was reflected on other brand wikipedia pages such a Shrimps (brand), Neiman Marcus, Balenciaga (brand). Please assist me in making these edits and getting this page published correctly rather than deleted without a review after I already started making the edits. ```Ajfit0118 ((User talk:Ajfit0118) 10:57, 02 December 2020 (EST)).

CSQ Research[edit]

No idea what you are talking about re Creative Clinic. I don't edit Wiki because it's an arcane system - which probably explains the wrong report. My massive 124 edits reflect the fact that the system is rubbish and that's an absolutely fair statement. Wikipedia does have pages for think tanks, definitions - including WAOH (an econometric library), CSQ Research, and explanations of authors and contributions. Why you have written what you wrote about a four-year-old quote is inappropriate if I'm not misreading it. Surely had it not been deleted, I would have spent more time composing a proper explanation of the dozen and more Sustainable Societies Programmes we curate. WHAT INCENTIVE IS THERE WHEN SOMEONE DELETED NEAR ALL OF THE PAGES I EVER COMPOSED? None whatsoever - so I started with something simple. I've written 40-articles and six 600-page theses in the last few years, I'm quite certain I can put something together helpful once untethered. --Edtilley4 (talk) 06:36, 4 September 2020 (UTC) --Edtilley4 (talk) 06:42, 4 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid the issue here is that you have misunderstood what Wikipedia is. It's an encyclopedia, not an outlet for original research. I doubt that Encyclopedia Britannica would have published your contribution either. Deb (talk) 06:57, 4 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

CSQ Research exists; and its programs exist - which amounts to grounds for documentation on Wikipedia. Your judgement in this discussion appears to be qualitative and subjective, ignoring quantitative and therefore scientific reality? Politely I'll restate a request that you reinstate this legitimate listing, and should that polite appeal fail again I'll escalate a legitimate concern for your current status as a moderator at any encyclopedia - or society for that matter, considering the importance of any legitimate research and science dedicated to turning around collapse in a collapsing world. Not everyone is well suited to authority, as it requires the ability to introspect and decide ourselves wrong once in a while. Edtilley4 (talk) 11:21, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You see, you're still confused about what Wikipedia is for and how it works. You're completely incorrect in saying that "CSQ Research exists; and its programs exist - which amounts to grounds for documentation on Wikipedia." No, it absolutely doesn't. If it did, every single entity, object and person that exists would qualify for a Wikipedia article. But by all means do escalate. Perhaps when everyone else tells you the same thing, you'll start to understand. Deb (talk) 15:19, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. The editor who interacted with me above has subsequently objected to my removal of spam links from his contributions and described me as "an over-zealous admin, with questionable mental state". I leave this here so that would-be administrators can follow the series of events and understand what they could be up against when they become admins and attempt to do the job properly. Disruptive Editing Claim[edit]

Hello Deb, I have been working to create an informational record of this company, I have been finetuning the copy that I wrote in it's entirity and any copyright claims are absurd if you look at the source. None of the people here seem to actually provide substantive assistance or recommendations other than flagging this as a problem. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Smistry.hsb (talkcontribs) 12:12, 2 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Melon AD - speedy deletion contested[edit]

Hello! You have deleted my page about the company Melon AD. I have been researching Wikipedia and there are numerous company pages (ex. VMWare, Hubspot, etc.). Why are you deleting my page? You seem to use the promotional restrictions rule but this is a false argumentation. I have removed all the promotional content and the page was purely informative. The company has nearly 20 years of history, has international OEM companies as partners (Nokia, Microsoft, etc.) and has numerous awards. All this was referenced in EXTERNAL sources as per the guidelines. Why are pages about some companies allowed and pages about other companies not allowed? I see that there are numerous complaints on your talk pages (not only yours but other editors, too) that you are picky about deletion. Before deleting something, wait for the author to reply/explain/contest. This is supposed to be a proper discussion. Once again - why did you delete my Melon AD page when there was nothing promotional on its latest published version? Please, reply because this is not fair. I see no reason to delete the page and keep other "promotional" pages of other companies. If those are the rules, then they should be applied to all such pages. There is nothing wrong to have a Wikipedia page about a company, which has two decades of traditions, numerous awards and not a single link or message that aims to sell in the article. All was purely informative.

Looking forward to your answer. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by GDS2020 (talkcontribs) 05:38, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Above is an example of someone who has come here to advertise a company and is annoyed because their advert has been deleted while those of their competitors haven't. Someone whose English is poor and who even includes promotional wording in their message complaining about my action. Someone who thinks they are so important that their message has to go at the top of the Talk page rather than the bottom. If you want an object lesson in how not to get your deleted article restored, this is it. Deb (talk) 07:03, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have read your disrespectful and petty message. I am really sorry that such characters are editors in Wikipedia. Honestly, I am surprised you chose to act in such a disrespectful manner. I have declared my affiliation with the company I created the page for. I have even stated that when I uploaded the logo. I also stated I am ready to provide any other information that may be needed. My "promotional" content in the objection above is actually a detailed explanation. That's how discussions work. Furthermore, like any other normal human being, I took notes from my first article and edited the second draft accordingly. I can admit when I have made a mistake. We never stop learning.

One thing I will not tolerate (and no one else should tolerate) is false accusations and trying to put my name in the dirt. Please, acknowledge your role on this website and in this community. You have certain duties. I am afraid you have failed to step up on numerous occasions (check your page for references). My question about having articles on other companies, which are clearly promotional, remains unanswered. Why are you afraid to provide answers to specific questions? Once again - I have seen messages from other users complaining about the same. It seems you need to address your lack of adequate judgement. Insulting people on the website is not mature. Insulting my English... Well, that is just hilarious. Please, for the sake of Wikipedia, adjust your attitude because being insolent is detrimental to this community. I no longer wish to have anything to do with you and the entire process. I will address this the proper way. I wish you clarity. I also wish everyone else, who was improperly penalised by your actions, better luck and just results in the future. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GDS2020 (talkcontribs) 14:36, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) @GDS2020: I've examined both versions of the article you wrote about your company, and they were both written like marketing brochures and not like encyclopedia articles. They read like lists of every possible good thing you could think of to write about the company, trying to show how wonderful it is, and not like the neutral disinterested description based on what independent sources say that we would need for a Wikipedia article. If you are in marketing, or you are otherwise closely attached to a company, it can be hard to take a detached view and see it the way others do - you are certainly not alone in that. But the two verisons of the article, as written by you, were not appropriate, and their deletions were correct. Promotion, under the Wikipedia WP:G11 meaning, covers a lot more than just having links or messages that aim to sell. Attacking the deleting admin for doing the right thing is not going to help your case. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 14:54, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy Deletion Mix-up[edit]

Dear Deb,

I am not sure if this is the right place to message you, but I didn't know how else to reach you.

You sent my page to speedy deletion today. Thank you for being so thorough and quick in this, as I had only opened the page yesterday. However, it is very important for me to say that this page was still very much unfinished. It was in a very beginning draft page, and needed a lot more work.

I am wondering if there is a way to recover the page, and for me to able to continue working on it without it getting deleted (until it is ready for publishing). My intention is not to advertise or promote, but simply to inform based on facts about this individual. I have no close contact or relationship with her, I simply want the great platform of Wikipedia to recognize who is she/what she has done.

Thank you for your understanding, and please update me if there is anything else I can do/anybody else I can reach out to.

Hi Deb,

Just following up on the previous message.

The template that you see is one that I created myself. It is simply my own thoughts/notes on where I should put things on the Wikipedia page. It was a guide I created for myself which I had placed in as I was working on the page. I created the template after looking at other similar Wikipedia pages. I wanted this page to be good, so I looked at similar pages in order to make it the best page that it can be. This is when I created the template.

You asked about my connection with the subject of the article. I have no connection/relationship with her. I have recently returned to my home country (Israel), and was looking at powerful leading women for inspiration. In my search, I found Ghaida, and I decided to write about her and her life/work. I have not written a Wikipedia page before, and decided it would also give me some experience/exposure to it. She is a women that stands for a lot of important things, and therefore I hoped to be able to use this platform to allow other women such as myself to be inspired by her as well.

Let me know if there are any other questions I can answer and whether or not this page can be brought back.

Thank you for your time.

CSQ Research speedy deletion[edit]

Still here four years after you speedy deleted CSQ Research. The library is a FACT Tank and Econometrics Library -without the patience to navigate Wikipedia's deletions. How to get the website you deleted four years ago back up and listed? Ironically the site solves the problem of unsustainable societies so that it doesn't collapse. Thank heavens you were there to rescue the world from theses that prevent Social and Economic collapse. Clearly, that knowledge and resources couldn't have come in handy this past few years right? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Edtilley4 (talkcontribs) 04:44, 16 August 2020 (UTC) Edtilley4 (talk) 05:51, 4 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ME TOO DEB NO PROMOTION IM A BLOGGER FRANSISCA SIM JUST STARTING PLEASE RECREATE MY PAGE !!!! Hello Deb

Sorry if this is the wrong place to comment on this, I wasn't sure how else to send you a message.

On 8th July you reviewed a page for Creative Clinic and proposed it for speedy deletion.

I was wondering whether any of the following citations in support of what was written would help to have this reinstated and show that this is news rather than promotion? There are numerous, respected independent publications talking about Creative Clinic and in particular its work on #ClapForOurCarers. Please see the following references:

https://www.thirdsector.co.uk/third-sector-digital-awards-%E2%80%93-best-online-awareness-campaign-creative-clinic-clapforourcarers/article/1690746

https://www.thirdsectordigitalawards.com/results-2020/

https://jewishnews.timesofisrael.com/community-agency-behind-clap-for-carers-initiative-wins-award/

There is also a Wikipedia page about Clap For Our Carers and the impact Creative Clinic's work has had at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clap_for_Our_Carers

In particular this: "Why did it win? By 30 June 2020, the social media reach of the #ClapForCarers campaign included more than 413 million views on TikTok; 553,000 impressions on Instagram; and 1.4 million impressions on Twitter. Leading figures in public office supported the campaign, including the Queen, the Prime Minister and the Mayor of London, and the campaign also benefited from celebrity support, from the Beckhams to Daniel Craig. The campaign was hugely successful in raising awareness of, and pride in, the vital roles that frontline NHS and key workers played across the coronavirus pandemic, with the weekly round of applause becoming a focal point of the initial crisis. The BBC, ITV, Channel Four and Sky News / Sky One broadcasted the applause live for nine weeks."

and also this: "What did the judges say? This work hit at the right time and the right place and people were ready for it,” judges said, praising the coordinated effort to promote Annemarie’s initiative. “The response and reach was massive and powerful. the most effective work here. The Clap for Carers has become part of our culture."

I hope this will allay your concerns. If not are you able to help with creation of the entry in such a way as to be acceptable?

Many thanks for your consideration.

Ypso-Facto - deleted page[edit]

Hello,

You deleted the wikipedia page created yesterday and named "Ypso-Facto" because you found it too promotional. I would like to contest this deletion because the page was neutral and only descriptive: there was no marketing content. Moreover, many companies, working in the same sector as Ypso-Facto, have a Wikipedia page (Apsen Technology, Intelligen, Novasep...). So can I find out why their page is allowed and not ours?

Thank you in advance for your feedback.

With this edit you added a cs1|2 template that included |coauthors=:

That parameter and |coauthor= have not been supported in cs1|2 since 29 April 2017. Please use |authorn= or |lastn= / |firstn= for all author names in cs1|2 templates so others don't have to do follow-up repair.

Now that I've taken a closer look, for this particular citation, |editorn= is more appropriate. Also, since I'm being nit-picky, '... ScottishWomen' → '... Scottish Women', |pages=82|page=82, and for books, |date=27 June 2007|date=2007:

{{cite book |editor1=Elizabeth L. Ewan |editor2=Sue Innes |editor3=Sian Reynolds |editor4=Rose Pipes |title=Biographical Dictionary of Scottish Women|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=Zs6qBgAAQBAJ&pg=PA82 |date=2007 |publisher=Edinburgh University Press |isbn=978-0-7486-2660-1 |page=82}}

Hi Deb,

Before I write this article I had a research and the information of this article is informative. Please check the public reviews from different angles that I have mentioned in the article. There is no any promotional content in the article.

As for the following article you mentioned “ Rebecca Brown (missionary)” first, this article contains wrong information. For example it says Rebecca Brown(missionary). But, Rebecca Brown Yoder was not a missionary second, the link “Rebecca Brown (author)” directs to Australian author which is totally different person.

Because of the above reasons I ask you today undo "Rebecca_Brown_(Yoder),_M.D." from the deletion.

Review of Paletzorg page[edit]

Hello Deb, Thank you for your quick reaction! And compliments and thanks that you do such great work for Wikipedia, that is much appreciated. I’m a big fan of Wikipedia and apparently, I did something wrong, my apologies. I just wrote my first Wikipedia page, https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paletzorg, and added the Paletzorg logo to it. In my Sandbox I tried to create an English version of it. I very much agree that I should not do ambiguous advertising and that I should not infringe copyright. Both are not my intention and I certainly don’t want to create spam. I am founder and chair of Paletzorg and I simply would like to add it on Wikipedia, not as an advertisement, but just as neutral info. Paletzorg exists for quite some time, it is quite well known in the North of the Netherlands and it is a non-profit group (I’m a volunteer, for example). To confirm my role and the fact that I’m the owner of the Paletzorg logo, I just sent an e-mail to Permissions-Commons using the Interactive Release Generator and I also created the page www.Paletzorg.org/copyright.htm, as an additional confirmation. How can I prove to Wikipedia that there is no copyright issue and that I approve that the info that I provided is published on Wikipedia and that I try to (and intend to) comply to Wikipedia copyright and Commons regulations? Can I for example add a sentence like “The text of this website is available for modification and reuse under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution -Sharealike 3.0 Unported License and the GNU Free Documentation License” to the Paletzorg Wikipedia pages? And maybe add that I’m the founder and chair of Paletzorg? In my own Sandbox I’ve created a new version, in which I’ve deleted a lot and added the sentence on the license. I hope that this is better and I hope that I can somehow obtain approval from Wikipedia to publish something about Paletzorg. Thank you very much for your reaction and your help! Nonetheless I would like to mention that I was not paid to write up or post the article! Kind regards, --Baekemm (talk) 18:25, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You changed the first sentence from "Jean-Baptiste Poquelin (baptised 15 January 1622; died 17 February 1673)" to "Jean-Baptiste Poquelin (15 January 1622 (baptised) – 17 February 1673)" with the edit summary: "bring intro into line with bio standards". Where does it say this is "standard"? --Robert.Allen (talk) 19:50, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi, Robert.Allen. Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Biography gives the standard layout for the opening paragraph. Normally you would only include the words "born" or "died" if you only have one of those dates. For living subjects, "born" is used. For dead subjects, where you don't know their date of birth, "died" is used. But where you know both birth and death dates, "born" and "died" are superfluous. "Baptised" is sometimes added for clarification, where there is doubt about the actual birth date, and there's no convention that it should go within the brackets at all, which is why it's more usually done like this. But you could equally well put in an explanatory comment and clarify within a later sentence. Deb (talk) 20:21, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Deb, It appears MOS does not give specific guidance on this. I have been looking for it, but have never found any. I did a Google search of the Wikipedia. I found several articles with the format you used, but also as many or more with, for example: "George Insole (baptised 5 December 1790 – 1 January 1851)". Personally, I do not like using parentheses within parentheses so would prefer the latter. Would you find that acceptable? --Robert.Allen (talk) 20:30, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Since I left the above comment, I checked The Chicago Manual of Style, 16th ed., which on p. 337 recommends against using parentheses within parentheses, and found that it also adds: "British style is to use parentheses within parentheses." Perhaps this cultural difference accounts for some of the variations we find on the Wikipedia: American editors may have a preference for varaiants which don't use them. (English teachers in American schools probably insist on avoiding them.) --Robert.Allen (talk) 06:35, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Robert.Allen, I imagine you're right. Deb (talk) 07:06, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well, since I learned about the difference, I'm more willing to accept your edit at Molière. (If it's OK with the British, then it's OK with me!) Thanks for the feedback. --Robert.Allen (talk) 07:17, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding page "Raju Kannampuzha George"[edit]

Hello Deb, I don't see how the page was advertising? I have adhered to all the Wikipedia policy and while I'm new to Wikipedia I did a lot of research and I took reference of many exiting Wikipedia page like "M. A. Yusuff Ali", "Mammootty", "B. Ravi Pillai" etc while drafting my article.

I have linked all the notable reputed websites as the reference to my article and framed the article on a person not on a any promotion of any company, there was only one section of his work where his company was mentioned but that's pretty obvious if we are writing about someone then their work will be mentioned.

Two Wikipedia admins also checked the article and they did minor edits to it but they did not find any promotion or advertisement in that article.

The whole article was around a person and his journey till now. Can you please look into this and if you think that any particular section comes under advertising or promotion then I'm ready to change that section but deleting the whole page was not necessary.

Thanks for all your active contribution to Wikipedia. Stay safe!

Hello Deb, I am a student and as part of my social activity, I searched the internet to look up a prominent person around my area. As I noticed many news articles written about him and many notable website articles about him, I choose him and thus created the article. I'm willing to add COI ( that I have mentioned above ) this time on the article talk page and remove any promotional content you thought was present in the previous article also I want you to review the article before moving it to mainspace. if you are okay with this please leave a comment. --Akhilraj25 (talk) 10:18, 6 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Deb, I have created a new draft page in my sandbox (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Akhilraj25/sandbox) can you review it. also, it's still a work in progress but I have cut short the content. --Akhilraj25 (talk) 10:40, 29 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I am the user ElPran68Oficial, I want to apologize for having created my own biography multiple times, I'm really sorry, I just wanted to create Diepiify's, but I I should never have created my own. Hi, that last thing this user wrote isn't true: as you can see here, this user never asked to change his username, or did any other edit in the namespace "Wikipedia". By the way, I'm an administrator in the es.Wikipedia, and I'm going to block this user there, because of his refusal to changing his user name. GDC Technology Limited[edit]

Howdy Deb,

I was astonished to find my first edit page of "GDC Technology Limited" deleted by you for reason G11, namely "Unambiguous advertising or promotion". I am an avid follower of digital cinema, and thus have been following GDC Technology for years since GDC has contributed to the world's cinema during its transition from 35mm film to digital cinema. Everything I had written is factual information without any mention or promotion of GDC's products or services. Moreover, I used very reputable and accessible news references such as Bloomberg, Reuters, Variety and The Hollywood Reporter to support my contributions. Regarding how I "moved from draft without attention to review comments", I did in fact reply user "1292simon" on my Talk page.

I would be grateful if you could enlighten me what was considered as "Unambiguous advertising or promotion" in my deleted contribution.

MyQ solution deleted page[edit]

Hello Deb, I hope this message finds you well. I don't mean to cause any inconveniences but I would like to address the deletion of the "MyQ solution" article. I would like to mention that I posted a similar message on the talk page of the "speedy deletion" page of the article.

Albeit this is my first attempt at writing an article, I tried my best in using neutral language and unbiased sources to reference every piece of information found in the article. There was a previous occurrence of the page being labeled promotional, and have I tried amending the page to better fit Wikipedia's guidelines (guess it was not enough). I have read through the "Neutral point of view" page that you linked me too, the only part of the "MyQ" article where I believe it could possibly contain some sort of leaning is the introductory summary at the top of the page.

I am still learning the ropes around here so I would sincerely appreciate it if you would kindly advise me on two things:

a) What made my article promotional?

b) I do not want to waste people's time in the future; would you recommend I get the article reviewed? I admit I did not do this previously, my confidence was founded in me using other live articles of similar organizations as guiding examples to model after.

The previous deleting administrator listed some problems; I could address all but one (which really stood out in my eyes). They mentioned that the page suspiciously followed a structure similar to how a user with a strong COI would create an article i.e. someone strongly affiliated with the organization. I have stated my possible COI to the previous deleting administrator and they determined that I do not have one. Your opinion might differ, so, it is as follows: I joined this community and contribute in a direct manner because I want to show my appreciation for all the good it has brought me and the personal fulfillment I would feel if I did the same for someone else. I decided to write my first article haphazardly on this particular subject and company because I am familiar with this company through my father (who works in another company in the printing industry) and my university uses their product. I cannot further explain the machinations of my brain to have had this fresh in my mind when I decided to create this page, nonetheless I thought the company was noteworthy enough to have an article about them. When I was creating the page, as mentioned previously, I used articles that are currently live and are very similar to the subject matter as examples to follow (namely other printing company pages like "ysoft" or "equitrac").

Again, sorry for any inconvenience and if I rambled a little bit. Thank you for your patience and time and hope you will dispel my queries, warm thoughts, Rami9610 (talk) 11:36, 2 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Deb for your prompt response and advise. Could you please recreate it as a draft in my sandbox so that I could submit for a review? Rami9610 (talk) 12:40, 2 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Question about a page deletion[edit]

Hello Deb,

I am writing to request help about a situation regarding a deleted wikipedia page. The page for Crystal Johnson (singer) has been in existence for many years. It appeared to me that the prior versions of the article did not do justice to this artist's long standing career. I attempted to find valid, additional verifiable sources to expand the article based upon her contributions in the music industry.

I would like to find an appropriate way to restore the page since the page was completely deleted due to errors unintentionally committed on my behalf. I would be happy to help have it restored to an earlier version from the past.

Any help/guidance you can provide to quickly resolve this would be helpful and appreciated.

Thank you, musiklova67Musiklova67 (talk) 13:14, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Deb,

I saw Crystal Johnson perform live in 2011 where I purchased her cd as a fan. Earlier this year, I saw a couple of YouTube interviews which led me to Google her. The Wikipedia article I found didn't seem to encompass the totality of her achievements in the music industry. I was unaware that while trying to add facts, the content appears less than neutral.

I learned of Sam Jonathan Johnson after I saw where they collaborated on a song, which I purchased. I subsequently found out more about him from internet articles.

Please let me know how to have the article restored to a prior revision point, if possible.

Thank you for your assistance.

Deleted Article[edit]

Hey Deb,

You recently deleted an article named Chemcare. I think it's very similar on every level to these: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asbestos_Corporation & https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McMahon_Services & https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_Blue_Asbestos.

Let me know what you think! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 808Gate (talkcontribs) 20:22, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I think that:

  1. Whether they are similar is irrelevant to whether Chemcare should have been deleted.
  2. None of them contain the kind of promotional language for which Chemcare was deleted.

Deletion of Daughters of Mary, Mother of Healing Love[edit]

Hi sir, Can u please clarify, on what basis it is considered promotional. Its a significant organisation and the article was not advertising at all. If we are thinking of that way you shoud remobe Microsoft page Apple page, Franciscan Order etc. You can change my post but why you removed that???? For example you did not romove Daugther of Mercy(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daughters_of_Mary), no sources at all. I had sources and everything. I can edit that arcticle but you removed that. Vegetassj44 (talk) 01:36, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

User:Vegetassj44, let's take these points one at a time:
  1. "Its a significant organisation" - you haven't demonstrated that with independent sources. See Wikipedia:Notability.
  2. "the article was not advertising at all". The article was promotionally worded and did not conform to the Wikipedia:Neutral point of view guidelines.
  3. "you shoud remobe Microsoft page Apple page, Franciscan Order etc." That is a specious argument. We remove bad articles because they are bad. It doesn't follow that we remove all articles that aren't perfect. If you check out those articles, you'll find a huge difference in quality between them and your article.
  4. "you did not romove Daugther of Mercy". The article you pointed to was "Daughters of Mary", not "Daughters of Mercy". On checking I found that it was a very old article, created in 2006, and referencing was not mandatory at that time. It is now, but in any case I have redirected that article after you pointed it out.
  5. "I had sources and everything." Your sources were primary sources, which don't count towards notability.
Furthermore, it's obvious that you copied the wording of your article from elsewhere. There's a massive difference between your poor use of English in this message and the standard of the English in the article. We do not allow copying.
I see that you have recreated the article. It's not wise to do this when you know that your article has already been assessed as not fit for inclusion. I have moved it to Draft space, where you can work on fixing it before submitting it for review. Deb (talk) 03:30, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

We do not allow copying - This is a lie and a slander. Find the place from which I copied,, how you can make such accusations. You should be punished for lying. Where you can report you ?Vegetassj44 (talk) 04:45, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You're telling me that the person who wrote this sentence: "If we are thinking of that way you shoud remobe Microsoft page Apple page, Franciscan Order etc." also wrote: "They surrender the entirety of themselves to Jesus through Mary’s Heart, becoming so united and identified with Her that they manifest Her maternal presence wherever they go." ? Pull the other one. Deb (talk) 08:50, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You didn’t really answer any of my questions, not that I was surprised. Care to give it another go? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A04:4A43:50FF:6792:CD14:22CC:2777:1A43 (talk) 15:08, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nope. Read Wikipedia:Citing sources, Wikipedia:Reliable sources and Wikipedia:Days_of_the_year#Direct_citations. Deb (talk) 15:19, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I put four perfectly reasonable questions to you, one of which from memory was why does one article with over 40 citations need more to you, when other date pages average between 10 and 20 and have no such template, and I also asked that if so; could you point out exactly which section needs more cites (which would be helpful to all of us) and for what reason? Just directing me to another page isn’t going to answer any of those questions. Will you provide a reasonable justification as to why? Or is it that you think just because you’re an admin means you can go around treating pages and other users in any way you want? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A04:4A43:50FF:6792:CD14:22CC:2777:1A43 (talk) 15:22, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

And while you’re about it, can you also kindly explain why all 25 sources had to be removed? Were all of them unacceptable to you, having read through and evaluated all of them in detail? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A04:4A43:50FF:6792:CD14:22CC:2777:1A43 (talk) 15:27, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I take it from the fact you’ve conveniently decided to ignore my questions that it is true: you do think you can abuse your power and do whatever you like. Isn’t it people like yourself who do this site down and question the integrity of administrators as a whole? Since you are unprepared to justify your previous actions I will leave it there and I will leave it to someone else to fix the page concerned’s errors, however I think it will be abundantly clear who is in the wrong here since it appears I am not the only one you have offended on this website. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7F:B43B:6100:FCDD:BD8E:FEE0:4940 (talk) 11:48, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, I've "offended" lots of people who won't take the time to read the guidelines themselves but expect other people to spend time clearing up after them. And you're right, it will be abundantly clear to anyone reading this who is "in the wrong" here. Deb (talk) 11:52, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

China Chana[edit]

You've deleted a page dedicated to a Spanish music group from Zaragoza, that has awards and two albums. Although, how many awards did Sex Pistols have? They issued just one album. The China Chana project is complete and of high quality. I'm not even from Spain. I'm not even from a Spanish-speaking country. Yes, I have interviewed them along with many others, but that was exactly for the group's quality. If that's an affiliation, it only speaks in favour of writing an article on them in wiki. For now you seem to be just a censor who guards interests of the English-speaking music industry. Did you even try to listen to the group a page of whom you speedily deleted? You didn't. That means you are not professional and do harm to wiki and its English-language users. But obviously nothing can be done about it. Keep up enjoying your power. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chetosco (talkcontribs) 08:53, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

China Chana vs. Sex Pistols[edit]

Please, do me a favour, explain how the article on Sex Pistols is within the Wikipedia guidelines, while China Chana's is not. Aren't people like you actually promoting the obvious shit like Sex Pistols while deleting articles dedicated to really decent musicians? Isn't that one of the reasons we all are in deep shit today? I'll take it outside of wiki. It's a serious issue and should be addressed properly. And, please, don't accuse me of personal attacks. You have no more personality to me than a bot. Powerful, though.

You're blocked for a week for making personal attacks. I don't need to put up with it. Deb (talk) 11:19, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Doctor (2020 film)[edit]

Hello. Just thought I would mention that when you Speedy Deleted Doctor (2020 film), you forgot to close the AfD. Thought I should just tell you that I had done it for you. Foxnpichu (talk) 17:01, 6 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't forget, I just left it for someone independent to do. Thanks for doing it. Deb (talk) 17:02, 6 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. It was actually my first time ever closing an AfD. Foxnpichu (talk) 18:47, 6 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your advice[edit]

Hi @Deb:. In the past I created the page Wode Maya, but it got deleted. There is now new info. In 2020, he was named by New African Magazine as one of the 100 most influential Africans on account of his YouTube videos.[1][2] What is your advice regarding re-creating the page. I believe he is now clearly notable. Ear-phone (talk) 12:31, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Ear-phone: Since the article was deleted as the result of a deletion discussion, any new version you create would have to be substantially different from the previous one, as well as having better references and no promotional wording. You need to be aware of this. If you are determined to write it yourself, you will have to do that in draft space as I think the page is protected. Deb (talk) 12:41, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you @Deb:. Would you be able to assist me? I could begin in draft space. Ear-phone (talk) 13:19, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No, I'm sorry. I am really very busy at the moment and am working on a lot of different things, both on and off Wikipedia. Deb (talk) 13:27, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ok @Deb:. Thank you for your input. Ear-phone (talk) 13:44, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

about Ahmed AlNeaimy page that you delete sir[edit]

I don't know why you are assuming that ahmed is my friend I am writing articles about any person at my country or in Middle east that became famous in his field so the links References are from us France and Spain and that mean he is already famous , please just try to give a look at those references I did not put an Arabic references because you may not believe that Arab is good at the field of programming , this person help by making his tool a lot of people in all the world so if you don't belive in him ok I am just trying to give Wikipedia a very good programmer any way there is a lot of other countries that will respect him thank you any way Hesham Hussain (talk) 12:39, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

again about ahmed[edit]

you said "try to hide what you're doing by using different titles, eg. "Ahmed AlNeaimy" and "Ahmed AlNeaimy (programmer)", "

of course I made that after writing to the one that delete the first article and he did not respond , and I wrote to another and also he didn't respond (look at the following talk [7] [8]) so i made the article with adding (programmer) because the previous one must not be written again Hesham Hussain (talk) 13:15, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Mr.Deb .. This is Ahmed AlNeaimy[edit]

Good Evening, I need to clarify few things about my Page, and about Mr.Hesham

Please let me introduce myself for you, i'm Ahmed 32 years old, software and web developer I have many services that I've provided and I still providing them to the English and Arab community like other developers who love to share good things with people.

About my page and Mr.Hesham In about 2016 or 2017 .. I created new page by myself using my name "Ahmed AlNeaimy" and Wikipedia rejected my page, to be very honest i don't know anything about Wikipedia rules, and I even don't know how to create a page, simply i followed a video tutorial on Youtube to create the page, after Wikipedia rejected my page I tried to know why and how to fix it, but i didn't find anything can help, so i left it

After that one of my followers created a page called "Ahmed Al-Neaimy" as i remember without even tell me, he just want to help me because i'm helping people, and he sent me the link of that page but Wikipedia rejected it agin and i told him that Wikipedia will not accept the pages and i don't know the reason!

What i want to say in other words: both old pages are created by me and by one of my followers, Not Mr.Hesham i hope if you can check the IP address of the users who created the old pages (if available), and check the IP address of Mr.Hesham you can see it's not same, Even that i don't like to lie at all, but it's important for me to proof what i'm saying to clarify it for you sir.

Before a few days ago, Mr.Hesham contacted me and he asked me to help him to build his new website, after we finished our discussion he asked about my deleted Wikipedia page he said "you have good success products and achievements for the community, why you don't have a wikipedia page yet?" simply, I told to him that i tried to create one, but Wikipedia deleted it and i don't have any experience about Wikipedia pages creation", That was everything he said!

To be honest again, i don't know why he asked me about it, I even don't know that Mr.Hesham is a Wikipedia Editor he is a verified Wikipedia editor and you can check his account here: https://ar.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/مستخدم:Hesham_Hussain

He didn't even tell me anything about him identity, I receive daily messages from too many people "i can proof this as well" and i don't ask people who they are, because i know they're followers.

After you deleted my Wikipedia Page that Mr.Hesham created it, he contacted me again, and he introduced himself as a Wikipedia Editor and he said that he want to do good thing for me he really surprised me, and i thanked him about this nice work, after that he said that my Wikipedia page deleted and he sent me the link of this talk, That's why i'm here now.

Dear Mr.Deb I don't know Mr.Hesham, and i didn't know anything about my Wikipedia page, but in the same time i'm really happy to know that someone tried to create a Wikipedia page for me!

I'm a simple person like other people, who love coding and tech and sharing useful things for the community, you can also check my profiles as well "it will be my pleasure" but i didn't typed them here because i don't know if this allowed or not, simply i don't want to get banned, but if you need them i'll send everything.

i'm ready to proof anything you need, and i really hope to hear good news from you. You already know, Wikipedia need to keep having success people all the time .. It would be an honor to be a part of Wikipedia as a person (like Mr.Deb) who did success things to the community.

One of the biggest things i have did for the community is: In 2016, I developed the PanguTeam tool to Jailbreak Apple Devices without computer, (The Jailbreak is completely Legal) I used PanguTeam Tool and developed it to work directly on Safari browser on iOS devices without need to connect Apple devices to the computer, this thing like "JailbreakMe" in the past "2011 or 2012" as i remember.

Since about 2012 until 2016, it's impossible to Jailbreak Apple Devices without computer .. and that's what i successfully did, Since 2016 until now the whole Jailbreak community is using my way, thousands and maybe million of Apple Devices are Jailbroken without computer, please note that the Jailbreak is completely legal in USA, there is nothing illegal ever, and this is my highest priority to do only legal work.

Please check some of websites who talked about my work, English - French - Turkish and Spanish and Arab .. etc sites: 1- [9] 2- [10] 3- [11] 4- [12] 5- [13] 6- [14] 7- [15] 8- [16] 9- [17] 10- [18] 11- [19] 12- [20] 13- [21] 14- [22] 15- [23] 16- [24] 17- [25] 18- [26] 19- [27] 20- [28] 21- [29] 22- [30] 23- [31] 24- [32] 25- [33]

There are too many other sites as well i hope to hear good news from you sir

Thomas Hardy's Ale[edit]

Why are you deleting my Page for Thomas Hardy's Ale? It's not OBVISOUSLY Unambiguous advertising or promotion. I have no affiliation except for that I'm a fan of the beer and think it's a very interesting history. I deleted the awards they won so it won't look as promoting as much. I spent a lot of time creating the article and finding sources, so I would appreciate you not deleting it. Rachelskit (talk) 01:05, 3 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Danaos Management Consultants[edit]

please restore back the 5 year old page Danaos Management Consultants, this is a 30 year old software company and the page existed 5 years already. I was adding an awards section and you deleted without notice says it's advertisement. Why don't you delete ORACLE or Microsoft? Because it's a bigger company or you like to abuse you power? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Noelkoutlis (talkcontribs) 14:36, 3 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Text Recovery - Dennis Jackson (Coach) Speedy Deletion[edit]

I did not read the rules clearly enough not to add the website. I am sorry for that. I was wondering if I could get the text for my deleted page so that I may change the wording. All of the relevant information was there. I am also not sure where the line of advertising is really drawn for this person who has received many professional accolades, including having a celebration day named after them in a particular city. This is a notable person who is listed on wikipedia pages created by other people because of the work he has done, so I thought it made sense to create an independent page for him. I'm wondering if I should just not include accolades or if it is simply due to my wording or posting the website. Thank you, I appreciate it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Akpakpala (talkcontribs) 22:37, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

About your reversion on January 6[edit]

Per WP:FIXTHEPROBLEM, it's considered good practice to edit instead of revert. About this edit, I can understand why you would want to keep mention of fact that Harold was crowned on the same day. However, per WP:DAYS guideline, entries should not be written in the past or future tense. Hence, I would appreciate it if you could partially undo your reversion, and change the word "will" to "would". LK (talk) 11:45, 13 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

On second thoughts, "will" may be appropriate there. I'm of two minds about it. I retract my request. LK (talk) 11:54, 13 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, @Lawrencekhoo:, I was just pondering on this myself. The guidelines say, rather clumsily: "Events should be written in the present tense, not the past or future tense." The event itself is written in the present tense in this case. I can't see anything to suggest that the subjunctive should be used to denote what happened later. Draft: Vega-Genesis[edit]

It seems you have deleted the page for Vega-Genesis. I would like to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, as it took me a decent amount of time and to start all over would be tedious. The article was approved and you nominated it for speedy deletion based on the ground of promotion, but all items in the article were cited and even more sources could be provided if needed. I don't understand what the exact violations were as none of them were specifically listed. Please help with the retrieval so that corrections can be made based on your recommendation, and so that more sources can be added.
