Hi, I saw this new cat that you created, but I find the title a bit ambiguous: it can easily be confused with Category:Space science journals. I think that Category:Aerospace engineering journals would have been better, given that this is a subcat of Category:Engineering journals. --Guillaume2303 (talk) 14:52, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

  • As I did not get any response to this from you on this matter, I have gone ahead and proposed this category for renaming. --Guillaume2303 (talk) 16:32, 18 April 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for June 28

Hi. When you recently edited Center for Studies and Research in Aeronautical Medicine, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hypoxia (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of Apeks

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Apeks requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. --IShadowed 07:32, 9 July 2012 (UTC)

The article Judith Stamper has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable presenter. References from ones employer and not independent.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ATCvet codes

I don't think articles on pharmaceutical drugs should be categorized as ATC codes (or as ATCvet codes). Category:ATC codes is for the codes themselves, not for individual drugs that might be assigned those codes. If you would like to categorize veterinary drugs as such, it would be better to use something like Category:Veterinary drugs. Thanks. -- Ed (Edgar181) 17:43, 6 December 2012 (UTC)

The article Les Routiers has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Orphaned non-free media (File:Semta rgb strap.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:Semta rgb strap.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:11, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited National Network Management Centre, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Network traffic. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Viking Life-Saving Equipment

Hi. I've just deleted this as an advert but maybe was a bit precipitate as you're clearly an experienced user. Will put it back if you can provide references to show that it's a "world leader". Deb (talk) 11:05, 18 December 2015 (UTC)

To save you watching my talk page, I've replicated my response:- Indeed I have been to Denmark, Sweden and Finland (Denmark and Sweden three times each) but I don't think that is the point. You described the company as "a world leader" and it seems you have no evidence for that other than the company's own promotional literature. It seems very difficult to find independent references for them. You are familiar with the policy on verifiability. I don't contest the company's notability but I will restore the article only in order to give you time to make the necessary improvements. Deb (talk) 14:47, 18 December 2015 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Realising Opportunities

The article Realising Opportunities has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not appear to be a notable program. Lacks coverage in reliable sources, while the only sources in the article are non-independent.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

Hello, DinosaursLoveExistence. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Jos Nijhuis, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ubiquity (talk) 17:21, 1 March 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for that, it has needed doing for some time. One of the least known figures in UK aerospace engineering, yet his name keeps popping up all over the place! The BRM involvement is interesting too. Richard Hodgson from the R-RHT seems to be the only person who knows, or has written, much about him. Andy Dingley (talk) 14:54, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
