A tag has been placed on Annita McVeigh, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Concerns regarding your edits

Hi DinosaursLoveExistence, I came here to let you know that I reverted your edit to Quentin Cooper as it added unsourced personal information to this biography article. I assumed perhaps that you weren't aware of the requirement, however your page is littered with requests and warnings to include sources (seriously there are so many of them!), yet it's still happening. Also worrisome is that you used the edit summary "category change" to describe the edit, when the bulk of your edit was actually the addition of the unsourced material, which is quite misleading. So, adding my voice to the myriad others here, please ensure that you include your source when adding material (especially with BLPs) and it would be helpful if your edit summaries better reflected the edits you are making. Thank you, --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 18:56, 13 May 2016 (UTC)

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. --John (talk) 19:03, 13 May 2016 (UTC)

Hey there -- I was going through the list of articles written with a promotional tone from May 2016 when I noticed the article for Chandley Ovens. It certainly sounds like an interesting company, but I wasn't able to find much coverage of it in secondary sources. I found a few trivial mentions (see, e.g., this book), but I am concerned that the article does not meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines (see WP:GNG and WP:NCORP). Do you know of other sources that we can add to the article? Thanks in advance for your help with this. Best, -- Notecardforfree (talk) 21:29, 14 June 2016 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Jonathan Kaye (businessman)

The article Jonathan Kaye (businessman) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no indication of independent WP:notability. Article talks almost exclusively about the restaurant chain which already has its own article. The parts that are not about it do not have WP:reliable sources, only directory entries at best.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. noq (talk) 14:57, 18 July 2016 (UTC)

Ways to improve SLP Engineering

Hi, I'm Ubiquity. DinosaursLoveExistence, thanks for creating SLP Engineering!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. I understand there ARE reputable sources that establish the notability of this firm, so you should add some quickly. As it is, it is in danger of being nominated for deletion.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. ubiquity (talk) 15:20, 8 August 2016 (UTC)

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 05:46, 6 November 2016 (UTC)

Inter-language links

I see that you added a French language link to Category:Vanguard-class submarines. You may not be aware that the way such links are usually provided these days is through Wikidata. Wikidata has some severe limitations which annoy me intensely, particularly where article scope isn't the same between languages and Wikidata allows only one-to-one mapping, but in this case Wikidata works, so I've added the French link in this Wikidata edit and removed your separate addition to the enwiki category. You can deal with the Wikidata links yourself by using the "Edit links" menu item at the bottom of the "Languages" section on the left-hand toolbar. --David Biddulph (talk) 16:57, 14 December 2016 (UTC)

I see that you have made similar edits to a number of other pages, so I would suggest that you do them the Wikidata way. Among other things, this has the advantage of providing the links the other way, as (for example) fr:Catégorie:Sous-marin de la classe Swiftsure is not currently linked back to the corresponding category in English (or the other 5 languages). --David Biddulph (talk) 17:07, 14 December 2016 (UTC)

Hello, DinosaursLoveExistence. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Jill Kirby, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. The Big Bad Wolfowitz (aka Hullaballoo). Hi, I'm CaroleHenson. DinosaursLoveExistence, thanks for creating Colin Noble!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. I have tagged the article for notability, per WP:POLITICIAN, because as it stands, there is no indication of significance beyond being a local official. The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Thanks,

Proposed deletion of Paul Burden

The article Paul Burden has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The subject does not meet the notability criteria either via WP:JOURNALIST or WP:POLITICIAN & this reference - 'All three seats for the ward went to the Conservatives' - further highlights the article's point of view

Hello, DinosaursLoveExistence. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, John Fairley, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Just an FYI, but when you create a new article, try to remember to add associated WikiProjects to the talk page. This helps interested editors spot new articles and work to improve them. Associated WikiProjects can usually be found fairly easily by looking at the talk pages of closely related articles. TimothyJosephWood 14:59, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
