Articles lacking image which might be available in Commons in Esperanto-Wikipedia

Hello, I appreciate much your help in finding articles in Esperanto Wikipedia which might be lacking images available in Commons. Yet, your list is very preliminary. Fondón, Spain?

Why did you remove the {{R from alternate name}} tag from Fondón, Spain redirect page? You didn't give any reason in the edit summary, so I'm curious. –RHolton≡– 21:16, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

I'm not sure I understand your point. No, I will not add tags to redirects in the User or User Talk namespaces. What does that have to do with the tag at Fondón, Spain, which is in the main namespace? You may not think the tag is necessary, but certainly that alone is not a reason to remove it. –RHolton≡– 11:39, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
I am working (with others) to categorize many redirect pages. The fact that some pages have not yet been categorized is not a valid reason to remove the categorization from the pages that have them.–RHolton≡– 12:41, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
Hmmm...This is the first I've seen of Template:Wi. Note that it does put the page into Category:Redirects to Wiktionary. However, I'm not clear on your question...it appears that a word got omitted.–RHolton≡– 13:13, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
It seems that many of the {{Wi}} templates have been added using "subst:", so the template isn't in the article, but the contents of the template is. Is that what you're talking about? As far as the article being "valid"—I'm not sure what you mean. Personally, I'm with those who think these pages should be deleted, but that doesn't seem to be the consensus. Please forgive me if I haven't yet answered your question. Perhaps an example would help.–RHolton≡– 14:04, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

Grifo mágico

I am not sure that your photo of the Magic Tap fits within the scope of the Optical Illusion article as it is presently written. (I am leaving it there for the now.) But it would be a great addition to an article about the city where it can be found. If there is more information about the sculpture itself, maybe an article should be written about it.

In the right context, I think it would deserve a nomination to featured picture status.

La Carlota

Hi! I included the country in the disambig because of several facts combined:

  1. For Argentine cities we usually name city articles as [city], [province] when there's an ambiguity.
  2. There are two places who could be named "La Carlota, Córdoba": one in Spain and one in Argentina. This is a very unusual situation but it requires that the name of the country be made explicit.
  3. There's another La Carlota in Argentina (though the complete name is Puesto La Carlota), in Chubut Province.

La Carlota, Argentina would be ambiguous and break the tacit convention we've been using for Argentine cities; La Carlota, Córdoba would be just ambiguous with regards to the country. Of course, you're free to change the redlink to La Carlota, Spain if you prefer (unless there's another La Carlota in Spain besides the one in Andalucía!). —Pablo D. Swedish Wikipedia

May I ask if you are currently using a bot at Swedish Wikipedia. Bots are not allowed to make more than one edit every 10 seconds. Unregistered bots can make one edit every 60 seconds. Emijrp is obvously working much harder. Please adjust this quickly or the bot may be blocked from further editing. Thuresson 19:25, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Portuguese Wikipédia

Hi, you or your bot upload more than 200 images on pt-wp today. I'm not sure that all images you use are PD or free use. The politcs of use are diferent in pt-wp. You must contact us before upload all this images. I'm not logged here, so contact Sysops in pt-wp using Babel before use your bot.Jo Lorib

commons image

Hello Emijrp, sorry for my rusty english, I'm from Wikipedia in French. I'd seen many town who have the model of wiki commons image on foreign Wikipidia but not in french. Wouldn't be possible to ask a bot to search on every cities article like London or Drancy the one in wich some commons image are aivable and after that to add the model of wiki common image on every article on every languages ? It shold be a great improvement because for instance I'm working on romanian cities in french wikipedia but i had to see on english if there is Image on common before illustrating the romanian cities articles in french, a bot could help me much and will be a great thing if doing the same with every cities in the world.
