Well recently what with it being 10 years it has been more on my mind that we are really in the projects infancy and as much as I do want the quality of every article to improve we really need to be covering countries in Africa and Asia as well as anywhere else. Google books are increasingly turning up more info than ever before... I have given a new (English) title to the article on this church. I hope this is OK, and that it may help with the language issue above. Not having had the pleasure of visiting El Puerto de Santa María, I was puzzled by the use of "mayor". A bunch of languages (notably is, fo, tn, mi, na, iu, kl, nv, csb, hy) haven't been updated since November 2010. Is there something wrong with the bot? Also, will the German Wikipedia ever have a list of its most active editors? --Iketsi (talk) 01:32, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

List of Wikipedians in Tatar Wikipedia

Hello! Firstly, thank you very much for making and updating the List of Wikipedians by number of edits in Tatar Wikipedia, it's really very usefull. Secondly, can you delete some people from this list please? I mean those, who are inactive in Tatar Wikipedia : Yöklewçi (last edit - 13.03.2008), Quistnix (last edit - 9.06.2007), Untifler (only 2 edits - 5.07.2010, last edit before it - 17.03.2008), Albert Fazlî (eski) (last edit - 2.12.2004). 2 of them - former admins of Wiki, they are not admins now, 1 of them - inactive bot, 1 - foreign speaker. AVBOT Clone for Tr.wiki?

Hello Emijrp. I'm a bot operator and a sysop at tr.wikipedia. I want to clone your bot to Turkish wiki. Bot is in running condition at tr.wiki (tr:User:KhuAVBot), but it does no reverts even at a total blanking. Tr.wiki uses Flagged Revisions, it may be the cause. Interwikis on your bot reports

Our bots have a different opinion which interwikis your statistic report pages should have. I have seen that my bot removed some interwikis to not existing pages on different languages (e.g. on nowiki: [2] [3]) and your bot is adding them again. I think you are using a template for this. Hi! I see that your bot is one of the most prolific in Wikipedia. I've been editing Latin American people's names to include the proper accent marks. During the last days I've included thousands of accent marks, but the task is showing itself to be too huge to do it manually. Would your bot care to help me with this, please? As a reply for the message on my Danish talk page. First - I like your tool - thank you for creating it :-) Second yes I probably forgot some "mark as done". Third I tried to get the files in the infobox but I could not figure out how to do it - it is not my home wiki. BOTijo @ cuwiki

Hi, emijrp. User namespace prefix in cuwiki has been changed from По́льꙃєватєл҄ь to Польꙃєватєл҄ь (without acute accent), but BOTijo didn't "notice" this and created two new pages with old prefix. I have had to delete those pages, because they affect the article count. Can you please configure your bot to update pages in correct namespace (here and here) instead of creating new in wrong one. Images for biographies

It is great! But there is problem with people ignoring "PLEASE! Check images before insert them.". <rant>For example sb inserted cover designed by Janina Dłuska as image of Janina Dłuska</rant>.

Suggestions

  1. Add obviously incorrect images - maybe sth like this? to help other editors to identify and stop people working in bot mode.
  2. Is it possible to extend this tool also to images of animals, plants, mountains?

Hi. I think your first suggestion may cause harm to articles. Your second one is very smart, I will do some tests with rivers/mountains. The bot works comparing articles using interwikis and extracts those without images. Regards. emijrp (talk) 09:04, 23 July 2011 (UTC)

Sí, el mapa de Cataluña falla porque las listas de ca: deben contener algún caracter extraño en un campo no permitido. El fichero KML se genera, pero Google Maps no lo admite. A ver si puedo echarle un vistazo en estos días y descubro qué pasa. emijrp (talk) 10:26, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

Soy Invadinado, de la Wikipedia en español. Precisamente acudía a esta discusión tuya por recomendación de -jem- para tratar este mismo tema. Aunque desconozco los motivos, la plantilla {{ediciones}} lleva más de 10 días sin actualizarse. Como te retiraste de allí, y estoy seguro de que tendrías tus buenos motivos para hacerlo, no me gustaría cargarte de trabajo, pero sí averiguar la causa por la que BOTijo ya no hace muchas de sus funciones desde Toolserver. ¿Tendríamos que hacer algo al respecto?
Y ya que estoy aquí, te informo de que hace poco creé esta chapuza para unificar las antiguas plantillas que se empleaban en las páginas de usuario de los bots, y que entrará en «vigor» con la política que se está elaborando. La ficha que te comento emplea la plantilla {{ediciones}} para mostrar de forma automática las contribuciones que tiene un bot en su página de usuario. Si no es mucho pedir, ¿crees que sería conveniente aumentar el número de usuarios listados en la mencionada plantilla? Cada vez el listón mínimo es más alto, y estaría bien que la plantilla contemplase a un mayor número de usuarios, ya que nos es de gran utilidad. Mapa

Hola Emilio. He logrado dar con la fuente de datos cartográficos de los sitios Red Natura 2000. Es esta (son shapefiles). Ha habido suerte y los datos tienen unos términos de uso que en principio los hacen compatibles con una licencia libre o directamente el dominio público (simplemente piden que se cite el origen de los datos). De momento he hecho un mapa para Andalucía. Bastante pobre y de utilidad limitada, una simple prueba. Podría hacer mapas más concretos, por provincias quizá, en donde estuvieran identificados todos los espacios con un número. Hacer eso a escala regional quedaría muy mal, no se vería correctamente.

Además, en esa página que te comento, aparecen fichas por cada uno de los espacios (LIC o ZEPA), bien catalogados por provincia. Esas fichas son muy interesantes porque entre otras cosas, además de proporcionar mucha info para los artículos y anexos (superficie, altitud, etc), se identifican los elementos ecológicos por los cuales el espacio ha recibido una protección. Es decir, lo más interesante y de lo que debería haber registro fotográfico. Creo que tenemos un buen material del que tirar, bastante mejor que el desastre de datos de ministerio con los BICs. He's merely identifying missing articles and starting them with inter wiki translation tags. One of the most important things he could do on here although it is scary just how much work is needed to translate and expand them all!! But it is work which must be done if we are to be anywhere as resourceful as we could be, starting them at least is something. Some advice Emir. What I sometimes do is ransack a category on another wikipedia e.g this and create lists like List of Chilean businessman copying the entries for the categories and wikilinkign them and going through them blue linking them. However, for living people you will need to add some info and a source for WP:BLP purposes but I think it would be great if you could do that.♦ Dr. Blofeld 21:32, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
