The first article I assigned myself is about Tiago Splitter, who is a former NBA player. Here is the link to the article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiago_Splitter. The following is the link to the diff: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Tiago_Splitter&diff=987126798&oldid=981528597. The second article I assigned my self is an article introducing Michael Finley, who is a former NBA player as well. Here is the link to the article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Finley. For this article, I added sentences and a citation to the part demonstrating what happened in 2006 NBA playoffs to hlep readers better understand a big event. Here is the link to the diff: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Michael_Finley&diff=987125569&oldid=985242254. In this process, I learned that it is necessary to explain both the reason and the result of an event to help readers have a comprehensive understanding.Forza spurs (talk) 02:42, 5 November 2020 (UTC)

Forza spurs, Beyond adding a citation alone, make sure to provide a sentence or two within the article itself to express your contribution in context (which the citation will support). This will demonstrate how your addition adds to the overall knowledge in the article. Citations alone do not add value. Please add a sentence or two to the article you edited and then ping me again here when done. FULBERT (talk) 18:23, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
I think I have already added senetences in the article itself before or maybe I misunderstood what you mean. So, I made some changes to make it clearer. Hope they can hlep.

Week 9/ Add Citations to 2 More Articles/ ShawnBoom

This week still needs us to add citations to 2 more articles. So the first one I chose is "Consumer socialization", why I chose this article is I saw some views which is interesting to me on the way to the CVS for buying the chlorine disinfectant. There were too many crowds to celebrate the election including many parents and their children. I found a couple of them using the same brand of watch, a couple of them using the same brand of caps, phones, wallets, and even shoes, etc. So I just curious how important the role of parents affects their children on consumption? Is that a big influence? and how? So I just searched for this kind of related article and add one citation into "Consumer socialization" to help make a better statement. Here is the difference link: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Consumer_socialization&type=revision&diff=987611400&oldid=911162127

The second article I chose is "Youth market", follow the logic above, I want to know more about the youth consumer behavior or market stuff. And I add a citation to the article to help make an explanation. Here is the difference link: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Youth_marketing&type=revision&diff=987617411&oldid=986966786 --ShawnBoom (talk) 05:56, 8 November 2020 (UTC)

Link to the first one: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Willis_Towers_Watson&type=revision&diff=987710671&oldid=981669738 The article talks about the history of Willis Towers Watson which is formed by the Willis Group and Towers Watson in the past. I added a bit of history of Towers Watson, which was formed by the merger of Towers Perrin and Watson Wyatt. Link to the second one: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Willis_Tower&type=revision&diff=987712014&oldid=983959838 While the article talks mainly about the height, I just add a fun-fact that the lowest level of the building is 43 feet below the street. Martinmadison (talk) 19:56, 8 November 2020 (UTC)

Week 9/ Add Citations to 2 Articles/ 燕京赵大知识分子

This week I found two articles about economic theories that I studied in college. One is pain of paying and the other one is Intrinsic Value Theory. I learned that sometimes adding a further definition using simpler words with less professional terms can help more readers understand the concept at the first place, so they will feel more engaging. Link and link for the two articles, and difference link for the two articles https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Intrinsic_theory_of_value&type=revision&diff=987763825&oldid=921233414, https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pain_of_paying&type=revision&diff=987764947&oldid=986961985 燕京赵大知识分子 (talk) 03:06, 9 November 2020 (UTC)

Week 8 / Add Citations to 2 Articles / Lipute17

The two articles I edit this week is "Kaikai kiki" and "Angela McRobbie". The diff links are: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Kaikai_Kiki&diff=986606300&oldid=968572811 and https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Angela_McRobbie&diff=986607614&oldid=981045572 I found this week's experience very interesting cause when I first view the article "Kaikai kiki", I just thought the article name is a bit funny. However, it turns out the company is created by one of my favorite art designer. Lipute17 (talk) 22:26, 1 November 2020 (UTC)

Week7 / add a citation / lipute17

This week, I edit the article about an Indi-filmmaker named Stephen Kijak. The link to the difference is: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Stephen_Kijak&diff=986603612&oldid=958932708. I find the experience of editing articles very interesting now. I can encounter with the materials that I have never viewed before every week. The process is pretty satisfying. Lipute17, I would ordinarily revert your edit with a message similar to: "The source used here does not fulfill the Wikipedia policy of using reliable, third party WP:INDEPENDENT published sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy WP:RELIABLE." Please find and cite a more reliable source and then ping me again here when done. FULBERT (talk) 23:11, 3 November 2020 (UTC)
FULBERT, I switch to another source for the same article and the current link of diff is https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Stephen_Kijak&diff=988088429&oldid=986603612 Lipute17 (talk) 00:17, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

Week 10 / Add citations to 2 more articles / yl7283

This week I read two Wikipedia articles which are about bubble tea and Starbucks. I want to see the market expended and sales through COVID-19 for both. I found there didn't have any statistics showed the market size or sales for bubble tea through Wikipedia article so I added a description and a external website article as citation. For the article of Starbucks,I added the situation of Starbucks in 2020 to the sales and expansion paragraph in Wikipedia article. Here are the link to diff:https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:MobileDiff/988830873 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:MobileDiff/988832388 Through the process I learned that we need evendice or data support the views like the article said the popularity degree of bubble tea without any specific statistics to support it. Week 10 / Insert an image / ASCXX

The link of the article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyoto#Modern_Kyoto

The link to the diff: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Kyoto&diff=988911788&oldid=988819713

This week I insert an image to the article "Kyoto". I went to Kyoto summer of 2016 for an exchange program, and I spent one month studying at Ritsumeikan University. Every day after class, my friends and I visit different places in Kyoto. I took this picture because I thought the lanterns and street views were so pretty and attractive. I hope the author won't remove this picture!!!  FULBERT --ASCXX (talk) 00:25, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
