Characters of Glee move, and other Glee stuff

I'm glad you got there just before I did, because you had the pointer to the earlier discussion. I left a note on the mover's talk page right before I went in to move it back; although Spidey104 believes we're wrong, there won't be an edit war. :-)

We're now up to 63 GAs with the addition of "The First Time", even if we just missed a November GA by a hair. Making good progress.

There's a new reviewer at The Washington Post, Jen Chaney, doing a "Glee by the musical numbers" review for the new episodes. Her review of "Pot o' Gold" is here. Ooh, thank you both for the Washington Post pointers! And I'm glad the page move issue was quickly settled. If we ever had a full-blown discussion with wide community input which concluded that 'List of' would be the best title, I'd live with that, but when it's individual editors that assume 'List of' is meant to be the title, I think restoring the status quo is okay. (My favourite ever Glee page move is this one). Wow, 63 GAs is a staggering amount. Fantastic work with "The First Time"! I'm looking forward to reading the completed "I Kissed A Girl" too (I thought VanDerWerff was totally on point in his D- review, which should tell you how I felt about that one...) It would be really nice to add a couple more FLs and finally complete a Good Topic before we reach 100 GAs, so when I've finished my current commitments, I really must push myself to finally run the first song list through PR. Thanks! I'd still be happier if you could, sometime (no rush!), read through "The First Time" with a view to condensing wherever appropriate. I know a lot happened in the episode, which may be why the "Critical reception" section ran long, but it's surely longer than it needs to be. A good editorial eye would not be amiss. "I Kissed a Girl" does not look like nearly as much fun: the reviews were not nearly so enthusiastic, and a few of the usuals (Poniewozik and Benigno among them) do not seem to have written anything. Ah well. I may try to get close to finished this weekend for the DYK possibility, so you might see something sooner than you think. BlueMoonset (talk) 18:31, 3 December 2011 (UTC)

Later ETA: Just posted a new Shannon Beiste article, and posted a query about two DYK possibilities on Robert's talk page. Both have big real-world connections, so no worry on that score, but one is 188 characters and the other a more manageable 141, and I was curious what you thought.
I've had the gall to claim the article is already a B-level one ;-). If I'm off base on that, let me know. I need some musical material before trying for a GAN; just my luck that the reviews on both of her songs would normally be easily culled from GAs, but the episodes in question are among the tiny number that aren't yet GAs... If you spot other weak spots that need filling, I'm happy to look into fixing the gaps, unless you happen to also have sources to suggest. Weaknesses are probably in "Development"... I absolutely love the DYK hook submitted for Beiste, and I'm sorry to have missed it hitting the main page. I'd never read the Falchuk-shopping story before, but that's a brilliant lure. I caught the EMC hook just after it went live, so thanks for the nudge :) While I haven't yet had chance to read the Beiste article fully, it looks great from a skim-read, and I think the B-class is certainly justified. I look forward to reading it properly! So glad you're back! I'm happy with the Beiste one, and Robert prevented me from second-guessing the shorter, alternate lure; I only wish you'd been back just a few hours earlier. To my great shock, my "Hold On to Sixteen" submission, made late last night, has already been swept up into a Prep area, and will probably appear on Tuesday or Wednesday. So I should probably work on its Critical reception section next (currently two paragraphs written by someone else that need quite a bit of work), and then the lede. After that, the Plot—which has accreted masses of unnecessary detail from diverse hands—needs a severe reining in. I also ought to get another DYK review done (my second), so I'll have it already done in advance of a possible next DYK (maybe "Extraordinary Merry Christmas"). Days later: Although I'd like to turf out another 50 to 100 words from the Plot section, I think "Hold On to Sixteen" is just about ready for a GAN. All that's missing at this point is the UK ratings info, which can be added when it's available. I wish I had your percipient eye, but I gather it's going to be over a week before you break free. Sometime post-Boxing Day? At any rate, I'd like to get the other two episodes on my plate up to GAN before the end of the year, and probably Beiste as well. (Some of the material I need for that one will be available to be lifted once I've finished the Reception section of "I Kissed a Girl".) And Sunday, I need to come up with a decent DYK for "Yes/No": probably something about the spectacular proposal in that episode the Morrison's been teasing... And... another bump on New Years Eve day, to wish you a very happy and healthy New Year, and express the hope that we get to see a lot more of you in January than we did in December! Latest events: both "Mash Off" and "Extraordinary Merry Christmas" became GAs earlier this morning, giving Glee a total of 66. I'm hoping to make "I Kissed a Girl" ready for a GAN later today or early tomorrow, so it can be our first in the year. My next goal: to have more GAs than B, C, Start and Stub articles put together. We're pretty close now—66 GAs and 71 other—but it's going to be a moving target with new episode articles being introduced during January and February. Hey! Thank you for all your efforts to keep me up to date with goings on, and sorry to have gone incommunicado for a few weeks. Christmas has been hectic but lovely - thank you very much for your well-wishes, and I hope you had a super one too! Very very well done for all the accomplishments you've notched up in the interim - I see the GA vs. other articles count now stands at 67 to 70, which is really quite incredible. I've a mind to reduce the size of my outstanding to-do list, and of the Glee articles on it, I'll probably turn my attention to "Sexy" or Santana first. Going forward, I must admit that I've found this season pretty sub-par, and "I Kissed A Girl" actively offensive, to the point that unless a remarkable turnaround in quality occurs, I'm probably going to have more interest in developing character articles than episodes in the immediate future. I see the song lists have been reverted from the character pages, and agree with their removal - I see it along similar lines as the actor articles and discography, whereby we don't duplicate charted singles into the former, as it would really be an endless task, and one that can so easily be centralised. It's probably going to take me a while to catch up with my watchlist, so for now I'll leave you with another 'bloody good job' while I get on that :) Frickative 23:37, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

Happy New Year! Glad you're back. I had a great holiday season, and am now ready for 2012 (which Grant Gustin is calling 20Dozen, and managed to make it a worldwide trending topic complete with hash tag; odd the things you see while trying to pick up production information from cast tweets).
I imagine it will take you a while to catch up with your watchlist, not to mention those posts from this talk page that were archived before you could get to them. ;-) I hope you don't mind if I mention some things that are hanging fire whenever you have some extra time on your hands:
  • Shannon Beiste: I'd like your sapient eye on this one, to let me know what still needs to be done to get it ready for GAN.
  • Glee (season 2): DAP388 put this up for a peer review, which has just been archived. To my mind, before it gets submitted to be a FL, someone needs to go over its Accolades section, which badly needs to be brought up to date (among other things: no Emmy info!, and the nominations total is way off), and check my attempt at a Ratings section, which I cobbled together when the peer review was submitted. A sapient eye reviewing the whole is probably in order, too.
  • "Pot o' Gold": do you still want to do this? It's the only one of the front nine that isn't a GA, and while I appreciate that you wanted to take it off my hands when we were alternating earlier in the season and November was turning into a very busy month for me, if you're not enthusiastic about episode articles at the moment, I'm happy to take it off your hands. I've already finished articles on episodes I liked less (e.g., "I Kissed a Girl"), and I'd like this one to be done so that Rory's article can be tackled, since a large chunk of material from "Pot o' Gold"—notably Critical reception and Music and performances—will be available for copy-and-paste into Rory's. In fact, if you wanted, I'd be happy to trade you "Pot o' Gold" for...
  • Holly Holliday: I've hit a bit of a wall with Ms. Holliday, and I remember that you had originally intended to write an article about her before one was posted. The entire Development section needs work, but especially the Characterization and Relationships sections; if anyone can find interesting material on these, it's you. The Reception and Music sections needs to have its "A Night of Neglect" material expanded or replaced; I think my "By contrast" sentence is a bit too flip (though better than the nothing that was there before).

No problem: I just happened to find myself without a project, and decided I wanted one to start today; otherwise, it could surely have waited until tomorrow. Thanks for agreeing to trade; I've adjusted the "to do" page accordinly. Normally, there wouldn't be such a rush, but I seem to be mostly caught up. Almost two weeks until the next new episode, too, which could be a fun one (and which I've added to my "to do" list as well)... and then, of course, Michael Jackson. TV Guide's been dropping hints all over the place, and I think I'm going to like this one: ten songs (unless they do further cuts from the dozen first bruited about), including two by the Warblers and a New Directions/Warblers joint number. I'm wondering how they're going to keep up: they still haven't finished the Jackson episode, yet it airs in 20 days. And they still have the Ricky Martin and Gloria Estefan episodes (now separated) and two others to complete and air before the end of February, and no sign yet that filming has started for the Martin, which is the next one after the Jackson. (Still also awaiting word on the advent of Samuel Larsen, which was supposed to have been by now.) I think they're out of their minds. I'll be interested to hear what you think about Beiste. Aden Jefferies's storyline section requires a "independent copyeditor" - so it is just one section this time - the reviewer said that the section has many mistakes similar to the ones they pointed out at Talk:Aden Jefferies/GA1. I cannot believe how many obvious mistakes I made - I really tried hard on this one too, like it was my pet project. ick.Rain the 1 17:26, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

Whoop, I should be mostly done, I just want to clarify some points, which are going to show my total ignorance of all things H&A:

1. Is is the school football team that Aden and Geoff play together on? The first time it was the school one

2. Is Tony their PE teacher? Yes

3. Does the Campbell's farm belong to Geoff's grandad? Yes

4. Is Annie Geoff's sister? (Older/younger?) Young sister

5. Does Aden collapsing during exams have any further impact or relevance? No, he was just being rude to his teachers, it was more to do with Dan

6. Are Aden and Matilda classmates? Yes

7. Is Cassie under the influence of alcohol or marijuana when she drives them home? Alcohol

8. Who is Sally? Sally Fletcher

9. Does Morag agree to help Aden in a legal capacity, or as a friend? Originally just a legal because she sees something worth saving in him.

10. Who is Roman? Ie. how can he be described the first time he's mentioned in this section? A friend, who turns into a father figure.

11. Who is the journalist Aden speaks to about Irene, and why does this annoy Belle? Is the article she writes some sort of counter-article to his one against Irene? Hmm - Belle lives with Irene so she was annoyed that Aden went to the press about him. She writes an article on his grandad.

12. What's the secret info in the article? I think it was about him being a war veteran and it portrayed him in a good light.

13. Why on earth is Aden disappointed not to have HIV?! He saw it as a reason to self distruct - he was messed in the head

14. Why does Aden's dad throw him out? Can't remember, he was always drinking

15. Why is the Diner unsafe? Is there building work going on there or something? Why does seeing an Army photo of Roman make him run in there? The Diner had structural damage so it was closed because it was unsafe. Roman was in the army, like his abusive grandad. He goes into the diner to be alone.

16. Is the Rachel Armstrong that Aden holds hostage the same Rachel that Larry tells about Aden's grandad? How do they know her - is she the doctor that does the HIV test and tells him to get counselling? Rachel was "Australia's only doctor" and saw to everyone who was ill.

17. Why does Aden need to borrow money from Belle? I cannot remember

18. What's wrong with Larry when Aden finds him injured? He got drunk and injured his leg

19. "Aden finds Larry injured and when he admits he was abused too" - does this mean Aden's grandad abused his dad too? He was abused by the grandad too.

20. When Belle names Angelo as her attacker, was it actually him? Was it because of her seeing Aden? I cannot remember correctly, I think he had a go at her and hit her with a chair - but I think it may have been the guys at the development. Belle was an activist agaisnt these guys, who tried to shut her up - because she believed the site was causing cancer.

21. The "he" that discovers Belle is addicted to pills - is that Aden? Also, what sort of pills is she addicted to, and does her addiction coincide with her refusal to leave the hospital? She won't leave the hosipital because of anxiety, she takes prescription meds to battle it, and becomes addicted. Adenv discovers she is addicted.

22. How does Liam cause a rift with Belle? Liam was a druggie along with Belle in the rehab - they grew close - she got out and got back with Aden but Liam wanted her still and wouldnt give up.

23. Why does Aden need money from Clint? To pay for the wedding? For the ring

24. Does Belle push the wedding forward because of her cancer? When does she find out she has it? She pushes it foward because of the cancer, she keeps it a secret until Nicole tells Aden the day before. We found out she was ill only a couple of weeks before.

25. How soon after Belle carks it does Aden get with Nicole? They have it off not long after out of grief, but I think it was over four months or more.

26. When does Larry's memory loss start? What causes it? Actually, I'm just confused by this section in general. How does Larry tell Aden that he was in the car crash when he was apparently dead? Woops - Justin recovers from memory loss and tells Aden Larry was in the crash - Justin was in the car with Larry when it crashed and Marilyn took him to the hospital and didnt know Larry was in the car.

Ack, I didn't expect this to be so long. Obviously not all of the answers should be detailed in the section or it'd be a novel, but with most I think a couple of extra words here and there would clarify things for ignorant readers like me. Up to #7 I made changes based on my assumptions, but then stopped in case I was adding errors, haha. I expect that some/many Qs are already answered in the development sections, so idk what would be easiest - whether you want to give me some quick answers and I'll make small further tweaks, or if you want to do it yourself because you're familiar with the rest of the article?

Thanks for doing it. I just cannot believe how thick I am to be honest - I must have like this closed off mind - Looking back at the text and thinking it makes sense. Maybe because I know the character, when I read it, the blanks must have been filled in for me so I didn't notice the issues. I'm always mixing semicolons and commas together. Noo, you mustn't be hard on yourself! You'd never have racked up 25 GAs if you were thick :p Most of the stuff I needed to ask about, I could have found out by reading the other sections. The only actual error was the Larry/Justin thing at the end, and that was pretty funny. Also, semi-colons should punch themselves in the face. Damned if I ever remember how to use them properly... Today's update is a perfect example of why I really want nothing further to do with the FA process. Part of the guy's oppose is based on quotes not being present in the cited article, but he clearly hasn't actually read it, seeing as part of what he says isn't there is directly beneath the headline. Glee in the new year

Looks like the archive bot came along, which is as good a reason as any other to start a new Glee topic, since the old, swept up one was begun on December 1. :-) Hope you're enjoying the new year, even if it's a busy one. Scary realization on my end: I've just made the list of the 10,000 most active Wikipedia editors on en.wikipedia.org; fortunately, I'm still safely in the 9900s.

Latest news is that with "Pot o' Gold" just about GAed (only an image issue to decide), I'm going to work on getting "Blame It on the Alcohol" to GA level (DAP388 isn't interested in pursuing it further)—I have a few leads for the Production section, even if it will be a tad leaner than usual. I'll also be tacking Rory now that I've got some material from "Pot o' Gold" to work with. This should keep me going until "Yes/No" premieres.

I'd still appreciate you checking over "Shannon Beiste" when you have the time, so you can let me know what's needed before it's ready for GAN. I'm just too close to it, and suspect it needs more in some sections. Since I'm not working on it, I'm not as immediately concerned about Glee (season 2), since it's nothing I'm working on directly, though your percipient eye and writing abilities will be needed there—especially in Accolades—before it can succeed at a Featured List application. Hey, I'm sorry for being remiss with the aforementioned Glee articles - I've had tabs for Shannon, season 2 and Holly open since our last conversation, I just haven't gotten around to giving any of them attention yet. I'll make reading Shannon a top priority for the weekend - the only thing that jumps out from skimming it is to ask whether there's been any development info that could be used to add a few sentences there about Cooter? Congratulations on succeeding in the mammoth task of bringing all the broadcast s3 articles to GA! Have you heard of the WikiCup? If it was something you were interested in, I suspect you could ratchet up an impressive number of points :) And wow, slightly startled to find myself 2,588th on the most active Wikipedians list - not sure what to think of that! I haven't found anything compelling about the relationship with Cooter yet. I'd like something from Murphy or one of those folks, or a bit more from Dot beyond the basic "yes I'm getting a boyfriend" or "yes, it's a triangle with Sue". I did a bit of searching today, and all I could find was that there may be some new developments in Tuesday's episode, which I find interesting but odd, since there are fifteen known guest stars, and Eric Bruskotter (who plays Cooter) is not one of those listed. I suppose there could be a Beiste/Sue confrontation while he's absent, though that's not the sort of development it sounded like. Then again, Fox is notoriously bad with their guest star lists: they're still using "Becky Johnson" rather than "Jackson", and they fail to list Grant Gustin as a guest star for "Michael" (only three are given: Chord, Damian, and Vanessa) even though he's a major part of their publicity for the episode. Yeesh. I'm also looking for another good item for the new Production section in the "Blame It on the Alcohol" article. Some vague pre-episode possibilities in the Heather Morris/Kesha/"Tik Tok" department, maybe, hitting on the alcohol focus, I think.
I've heard of the WikiCup, but I've seen how fast those folks work, and frankly don't want the pressure of a competition. That sounds too much like "work". I don't want this to stop being fun, because if it does, then I'll stop doing it. I'd like to keep going for a little while longer... As for your place in the active Wikipedians list, would it be a bad thing or a good thing to discover that you'd dropped eight places since the end of 2011? ;-)
Actually, what I really need to do in the next couple of days is come up with a DYK for "Michael (Glee)", the article for which I was finally able to post once the official title for the episode was given in a press release. Since we've already used one about MJ's songs for "Hold On to Sixteen", I'd like something a bit more riveting and hooky for this episode. (Interestingly, the episode is going to be only an hour; I'm still wondering how they'll fit in ten songs and still have a plot, since they had so much trouble with "Extraordinary Merry Christmas", and they had to cut the tenth song from the episode.) I thought I'd found something that dated from before the Feb. 17 release of the episode's music, but Google isn't returning it when I search. (I might be missing a useful part of the search string.) Still, I've made progress on both "Blame It on the Alcohol" and expanded the old Rory Flanagan material enough that the article is up now and at Start class. It may even be close to C class, but it feels like it's lacking in certain key areas, like Development. Re Beiste in "Yes/No", I think we've probably read the same stuff, and my thoughts were the same on the shoddy credits. I'd be surprised if we didn't see Cooter at all, even if just in a flashback scene. Whether it'll lead to any useful development, I don't know... but I do have the Beiste article open in the next tab, to read once I'm done replying here :) I like how the "Blame It" development section has shaped up - I'd totally forgotten the bisexual Blaine furore, so that's some good weighty stuff. I've just searched myself for anything else that might be useful there, and all I've turned up is a single ref for the writers of the masterpiece that is "My Headband". As for the WikiCup, I know exactly what you mean... I considered giving it a shot, but I don't want Wikipedia to feel like an obligation. Dropping down the active users list is definitely a good thing from that POV! I think the hook you've picked for "Michael" is great (which is more than I can say for the set list they've picked, but that's neither here nor there...). I look forward to seeing it hit the main page :)
As for season four... I can't remember season three being a problem, because of - as you noted - the very early renewal. I agree with your suggested course of action - redirect Glee (season 4) should it emerge before a renewal announcement, keep season four out of the table at the top, but allow the section to stay as long as the content sticks very close to the sources supporting it. Wrt rumours on status upgrades... I'm not sure about including coverage or not, but if it is added, I think the focus should be on the fact that no official decisions have been made yet. The one thing there at the moment that I think should be removed pending official word is the 2012-13 dates in the section header. The "Michael" DYK should appear on the front page Saturday morning, in case you're around and want to see it in all its glory. :-) I wish we had the name of that tenth song, but I'm not going to sweat it. Right now, I'm wondering when we'll finally get an official title (and date!) for episode 12; an unofficial one has popped up on IMDb and Wetpaint, and I've had to quash it twice so far. The only date that was ever given for it was January 31, by some of the reliable sites, but that was before Fox moved "Michael" to that date. February 7 is the only Tuesday between that and the Valentine's Day episode, "Heart", which actually is being broadcast on February 14 over here—by my calculation, the run of the final 13 episodes (don't know why Sky1 is saying 12, unless Glee is being shortened to a 21 episode season and no one has told us about it) is going to start on March 1, if they're staying on Thursday and ending the Sky1 season two days after the US one. Anyway, they filmed at least one scene with Rachel's dads on Thursday for "Heart", and I hope we see more of them as the season progresses.
Where do you think the Bieste article is now? That is, what more needs work before tossing it to the GAN wolves? Or is this an article that needs to wait for more material to become available on Beiste's genesis—that is, how Murphy and Falchuk envisioned the character—before it can make the grade? You called it on "Yes/No": Bruskotter just in "what happened before" flashback (and Gilsig, too!), and while there might be a few things I can mine from the episode's reviews, I haven't seen all that much in my initial survey. I appreciate the "My Headband" info; it was the first original song, wasn't it? That's worth a couple of lines at least. I think that gives us an adequate Production section for "Blame It on the Alcohol". I'll probably finish off the "Yes/No" music section, and expand the reception section posted by another author, before returning to "Blame", but I'd like both to be in the GAN pipeline before the end of the month. Oh yeah, and what do you think Rory Flanagan needs at this point to get to a "C". Would comments from reviewers be appropriate in Characterization (or Development), or only under Reception?

I've taken your advice and removed the dates from the page's Season 4 section header and made further modifications to the wording of the paragraph. The only comment I've gotten on the Talk page is in favor of pulling the section entirely; any chance you could respond directly to it? If the decision is to await official Fox renewal, we can remove the section and put in a comment about not adding one back in until the renewal is officially announced by Fox. Forgot to mention that Hurricanehink came by and bumped the Will Schuester article from B-class to Start-class with the following explanation: "it's missing season 3, lowering to start". It seemed ludicrous to me to do that, so I reverted, and then added a Season 3 section to plot. Was this person correct that the B-class had degraded that far? Would C-class have been a better choice? The article has long needed updating; I don't think any of the reception section goes beyond the first half of season one, and just reading the "Yes/No" reviews shows how far Will as a character has slipped in the opinion of critics. I like the last suggestion - the middle one could be read as Martin singing in Spanish against a regular Elvis song :) I'm not usually much good at coming up with hooks unless something extraordinary jumps out of the article, but I shall keep my thinking cap on! While it would be nice to have a fuller Development section, if the info just isn't out there and you're satisfied you've caught everything worth including, I'd go for it. If it was a case of waiting for Murphy or Falchuk to talk more about her origins, it could be waiting just about forever. I don't know if you've seen, but TV Guide put up a new interview with Dot last week. There might be something useful there, but my laptop is refusing to play the video [1]. Rory... looks like a borderline case right now, but I'd be tempted to bump it up to C-class. If Start is "quite incomplete" and "weak in many areas" while C is "substantial, but is still missing important content"... I guess it's a judgement call, because two of the four sections (Storylines and Musical performances) are perfectly sound. Comments from critics should be fine for characterization as long as they're attributed just as they would be in Reception, and I feel as though McGinty has done dozens of long, dull interviews recently that might yield some potential. I agree that bumping Will back down to Start was too far, but certainly a B -> C change would have been acceptable. I wouldn't worry too much about Brittany - while it would be lovely if we were able to keep every single article 100% up-to-date 100% of the time, the reality is that in the very worst-case-scenario, an over-zealous editor could take it to WP:GAR, and even then we'd have time to update whatever was necessary for it to retain its GA status. And I think the likelihood of that ever happening is very slim. (On an unrelated note, I'm so psyched Jeff Goldblum has been cast! I hope there's potential for a Rachel's-dads DYK hook for "Heart".) Thanks! I think I will go for Beiste, though I'll give her one more review. Thanks for the pointer to Dot's TV Guide interview, which I had actually seen: it's where I got the new fourth paragraph for Development. She knew at the time that Beiste had gotten married, but couldn't say. Interestingly, there's very little about Dot in the "Yes/No" reviews, so all I could do was update her married state... though I as type this, I realize that I need to add the "spouse" field to the infobox. I'll see if I can add a little bit to Rory in one of the other two sections before bumping the article to C. His interviews don't tend to have characterization info. But then, he doesn't get asked those kind of questions by interviewers. Good to know that you think a downgrade from B to C would have been acceptable for Will under the circumstances, and that we don't need to worry about Brittany's GA.
My intention is certainly to have a "Heart" DYK be based on Rachel's dads, though whether Goldblum and Stokes Mitchell figure into it is up in the air. I've read somewhere that there had been a scene written for them in "Showmance" that was later discarded—I think I read it in one of the earlier articles when the first news about them appearing this season surfaced—and I think that might be a good place to start: though a scene was planned for the second episode, it wasn't until 55 episode later that they finally appeared. I don't have enough info for an article that's likely to survive a redirect from JDDJS—I need another paragraph at least—so there isn't an immediate rush, but I'd like to have something up by the middle of the coming week. Perhaps if I collate and write up info like that "Showmance" info in Production, I'll have enough to safely publish. As for "Michael", I guess we're here now:

Thanks, Frickative. Good to have a parallax view on the hook and its inclusion of Elvis. This is very bad of me, but I can't stop grinning at the image of Elvis being covered in Spanish. (Spanish what, I'm not sure, but he's completely buried in it.) That being said, I don't want to lose the "Sexy" either, and both are more hooky than Matthew Morrison, so the combo of the moment is:

Formatting note: the quotes for the episode title should not be bolded, so they need to be outside the link rather than inside it. It's not unlike the quotes around a nickname at the beginning of a character article or a bio: they also should not be bolded, so great quantities of apostrophes must be used to avoid quote bolding.

As for the two dads, I've found a fan page quote of the text as I remember it, and I'm almost positive it was during a Q&A during the PaleyFest panel that occurred during season two. At this point it's just finding the time to listen to the various videos available on Hulu to find the right one, and then create a ref for it. It's in the final slot, so I guess it was deemed to be on the humorous side. :-) Beiste is now a GA, our 69th. The two dads quote by Brennan turns out to have been from the 2011 Comic-con, but I didn't discover that until listening to all the available PaleyFest material on Hulu, which is the bulk of the 2010 and 2011 events. (The 2010 did have an early quote from Murphy about the two dads, so it wasn't a total waste... In other news, Samuel Larsen had his first day in the choir room. I'm pretty sure this is for the Valentine's Day episode, but I don't know for sure. Still waiting for someone to comment on the end of the Spanish episode, or on the beginning of episode 14. The Futon Critic has as their projected episode that episode 14, airing here on February 21, is the last of the winter episodes, meaning only five would air in January and February, leaving (assuming the normal 22) a final eight in April and May. My big question: would that put Regionals at number 14, or will they wait? I know they're doing more Sebastian, but will there be more Warblers beyond the Regionals episode? I mentioned above that I found the Ian Brennan quote that I'd been looking for. But it is a live blog, which means that even the best typist can't keep up, so I was curious how accurate it was, and whether there was confirmation that he was indeed talking about "Showmance". A search took me to a bunch of YouTube videos of the 2011 Comic-con—I don't know of any official versions, alas, and if it does appear on a Glee DVD (like past Comic-con panels have done), it'll be on the season 3 DVD, and thus I can't cite it. But, oh my, is there good information there that I'd love to use for "Heart", and for the DYK. You get that? This isn't the first time the dads have been cast, according to exec producer Dante Di Loreto, who should know. They were cast for "Showmance", showed up to film their scene, but the scene didn't actually get shot. The problem: I can't find a reliable source with a better transcript. (There's one at non-reliable examiner.com, but even the act of putting in the link here caused the editor here to go into convulsions when I tried to save the page.)

So, suggestions? It's beyond my imagination that the YouTube video could have been faked; indeed, the same segment is at the beginning of this YouTube offering (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiusK8GcSms), taken from a different spot in the room. And it gives a perfect DYK hook: not only did it take another 55 episodes, but they had actually cast the parts once before. Is there any way I can use this? Wow! I am insanely impressed with your detective skills, it must have been quite the feat tracking that down! And really fantastic information too - the best part being I'm pretty sure it can legitimately be cited using {{Cite interview}}. The template is geared towards print/broadcast interviews, but as it was a moderated panel, I think it's kosher to cite the event itself.

Also, there were a bunch of tweets surrounding Samuel Larsen's first day today filming with the cast—looks like it was an outdoor shoot, but there might have been more to it than that—and I also want to take another look at those tweets (including from Lea, Dianna, Samuel, and Damian, plus folks like Lindsay Pearce and Curt Mega). I have a quote from Cory saying he's in the episode, so the scene would have been for this one. Was able to definitively add two more recurring guest stars for the episode—Chord and Damian—thanks to those tweets. I appreciate your confidence on the episode coverage delineation. I wish I felt that sure myself. ;-) If there are any discussions on particular episodes, I'd appreciate you chiming in if you have any points to make (or points you agree on). As for hitting the big centennial, there are 12 more episodes this season after we get number 70, plus the two from last season, and 11 character articles (though I expect Sebastian to become an article before the end of the season at this rate, and probably Samuel Larsen's character as well, so call it 13). That's 27 of the 30 we need. We're still waiting on soundtracks 2 and 3 to become GAs so we can go for our first good topic, which is a major incentive for those, and any article after that will get us there. Of course, if I ever get the courage to try to get Kurt to FA for its third try, we'll have to add an extra GA to replace it. Having followed the discussion here, I was pretty sure it wasn't in the right place when I saw it listed under February 2. For future reference, you actually had another day: you have until the fifth day after expansion began, and the day the expansion begins isn't counted in those five days. Good luck with the review! No problem at all - I saw the songs discussion and knew something similar had come up before, so was holding off replying until I could find it. Turns out that the season 1 list's archived talk page is hiding at the original title, Talk:List of songs in Glee/Archive 1, so now I have what I was looking for, I'll go reply over there :) I love the hook for "Heart", btw! I just realised my last Glee GA was TPPP in October, so I'd really like to try and achieve something substantial this month... we only need one more GA, and exactly 50% of the WP:GLEE articles (discounting lists) are at 'Good' level! We'll definitely be above 50% GA by the end of February; in fact, I'm hoping to finish revising the Critical reception section of "Blame It on the Alcohol" tonight, and get it into the GAN queue before bedtime. "Michael" will probably have to wait until sometime next week, when it will be needed to offset "On My Way", currently a redirect and not counted, but by then a Stub/Start and offsetting existing GAs. Please feel free to claim one of the three upcoming episodes—"The Spanish Teacher", "Heart" or "On My Way"—if you want a new one to work on. I imagine I'll take the other two. Or, of course, you can finish off "Sexy" and we can finally mark the second season episodes as well and truly done.
I'm so glad you like the hook for "Heart"... and it will appear soon: the DYK nom has just been inserted into Prep 4, which means it will probably be on the front page on Saturday at 0800 UTC for eight hours. Wow, funny timing - I was literally just re-reading that discussion! Did you read the most recent replies to the thread on Danny's talk page? I suggested that it would be a good idea to focus on building content first, because if all we achieve is creating a dozen new articles full of plot details and nothing else, Wikipedia won't have really benefited. Haha, that's a good point though - I've watched Casualty on and off for about twelve years and would probably be okay on plot back to 2000, but when it comes to writing content for lists before that... what do we know about characters like Tony Walker, Helen Green and Keith Cotterill? Hi there. As a regular contributor to Holby and Casualty articles, I was wondering if you could spare a minute or two to pop over to Talk:List of Casualty characters and provide your view on some edits made by a user. tv.com template deprecated

Just thought you should know that the tv.com template has been deprecated for new use because the site has changed its file organization, so the links the template creates sends users off into hyperspace (actually, to a 404 page, but hyperspace sounds better) rather than to the episode page.

At any rate, I've started cleaning up the Glee third season pages (working my way backward, and about to do "Hold On to Sixteen"), but I thought you should know for future use. The line now looks a lot like the Fox one. I imagine I'll check to see about the various second and first season pages once I've finished the third... BlueMoonset (talk) 05:10, 4 February 2012 (UTC)

I've taken care of all the tv.com templates. I worked backward into season one, and the TV.com templates abruptly ended with "Dream On" being the last; I added the link to "Laryngitis", but when "Bad Reputation" also didn't have the external link, I stopped and did a spot check of the other season one eps, and they all included only the other two, Fox and IMDb. Do you think I should go ahead and do the remaining seventeen so we offer external links to all three sites consistently, or not bother with TV.com for the first seventeen? Please let me know! (BTW, I also did a spot check of character articles, too, and didn't find any that used TV.com at all.)
PS: On a totally different subject, I think I'm going to mark up all our main redirects: basically all those that point to sections on the Characters of Glee page for those characters who don't have their own articles. We're already at 200 articles/categories/templates/etc., and this will add another dozen or so redirects to the total. It also helps us keep track of what's out there. These are the main redirects, not the spelling variants, though I expect most will remain redirects and never be made into articles. BlueMoonset (talk) 20:34, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
It would probably be a good idea to add TV.com to the remaining 17 episodes for consistency - I'd hazard a guess that I didn't know of {{TV.com episode}} until episode 18, thus explaining its absence, but it's not an urgent task - I don't mind doing it myself if you prefer :) And good call on the redirects, it's interesting seeing how many are out there, and how many of those early characters disappeared into the ether... Thanks. I'm working my way through them now, and will do the remaining twelve in the morning. No need for you to take it on; it was a nice break after gathering the "Michael" music and reception info, which I won't be able to organize until I'm more fresh. (Plenty of other Glee tasks do need your touch; for example, the Glee (season 2) page still needs an Accolades makeover, and other things as detailed on the talk page. And there's always "Sexy"...)
As I go, I'm also taking the opportunity to clear out the "Characters of Glee"-based page pointer links for those characters that have redirects such as Principal Figgins and Jacob Ben Israel and the lot. I even found a Karofsky, who has his own article now... The only ones that don't have redirects are Azimio (it's actually a district in an African country), Bryan Ryan (some other fictional character has snagged that redirect) and Grace Hitchens (who, in my opinion, will be remembered as "the character that Eve played", and thus not worth a special redirect). The only character who hadn't possessed a redirect who I created one for was Rod Remington. There were a total of 17 redirects tagged; we're up to 217 pages now. Nice work! I guess it's now 218, if this one sticks. What are your thoughts on the need for a separate Dalton article? It's something I've considered on occasion, and I think with a bit of work it could certainly develop promisingly... but I'm concerned about the blurring of lines between fiction/reality, eg listing Columbia as their record label and naming the actors over the characters... And ack, I will get around to season 2, "Sexy" and Holly - hopefully sooner rather than later. For now I think I'll go through the past few months of the Hollywood Reporter and check the master awards list is fully up-to-date. Frickative 00:26, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
Goodness, I completely missed the Warblers and their advent. (Since it just happened, I don't feel so bad.) To clarify, the listing in the infobox is of the actual known singers: that is, Criss and Colfer, who sang lead, and the Beelzebubs, who did the backgrounds on all the season two songs except for "Blackbird". But it doesn't go into the season three differences, the other leads and background singers (Curt Mega, Grant Gustin and Eddy Martin for leads; Jon Hall, Brock Baker and Luke Edgemon on backgrounds) who are known for "Uptown Girl" but not for "I Want You Back" and (as of yet) for the Regionals song or songs that were filmed yesterday and today. I also think that the picture in the infobox ought to be the one we've been using for the Warblers, not just of Criss... but I digress. As it is now, it's a stub that looks like it could disappear in fairly short order. Do we "need" it? Hard to say. The Warblers took on a life of their own last year, and have appeared more than I expected this season (at least four times in the first fourteen episodes). But I suspect that, aside from Sebastian, we will see no more of them after Regionals. And most of the material is covered in other articles, if spread out a bit.
I'm frankly of two minds on what to do about it. Part of me thinks that if you're going to have a Warblers article it ought to be more like a "character" article and less like a music article. In that case, we can list all the notable fictional Warblers, mention some reviews of Dalton and the Warblers (notability is easily demonstrated), make note of the fact that the Warblers were only supposed to be in a few episodes initially but grew much bigger than planned (to the point that there was an album) but I'm less clear about what to do with the vocal Warblers. If I wrote it, I'd probably be skirting the bounds of notability in some sections: I do like the Warblers, and would feel free to mine that "Behind the Scenes" video from earlier this season about the Warblers. But it wouldn't be this odd blurring of the lines that "infobox musical artist" imposes... and that would probably put it in conflict with its creator, if we could figure out what template to use instead (and I'm not entirely sure there is one that even fits).
Thank you so much for taking up the Accolades and the other Season 2 material, and reaffirming the other articles. It was good to see you on the reversion lines today, too; we need more of us at it.
And on a completely different note, I just got a "User account expired" when I went to use X!'s edit breakdown tool on soxred93's Toolserver account, since soxred93 apparently hasn't logged in for six months.
