Mexico national team editing war[edit]

There is currently a dispute going on about a South American editor claiming that a sentence claiming that "Mexico being one of only a handful of nations to have won at least two out of the three most important trophies" (World Cup, Confederations Cup, Summer Olympics). The South American editor contends that the statement is not correct since Olympic teams are separate. Your input on the talk page would be greatly appreciated. User:Gringoladomenega[edit]

Hello. I'd very much advise you don't play Gringoladomenega's games and get involved in edit wars with them. It is all very deliberate on his/her part and along with their WIKICLIQUE you'll be harassed and pestered relentlessly. Peace, bro! Panhead2014 (talk) 18:17, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Strangely enough, it was him that was blocked, not User:Gringoladomenega, User:MYS77 or myself (i was known as User:Always Learning, now vanished from WP), he is trying to play the all-innocent part here, trying desperately to make the others look bad and see that they are also blocked. So far he has not succeeded. Everyobdy makes mistakes while editing, and surely everybody made mistakes in the incident in which we were involved (regarding Míchel Salgado and Sergio Busquets), but only he was blocked for some reason, but he fails to acknowledge even 0,5% of responsibility on his part, calling the rest of the editors involved (some administrators!) a wikiclique!

Attentively --84.90.219.128 (talk) 17:25, 17 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • It all started with an edit war in Sergio Busquets and Míchel Salgado in which all of the users mentioned here were involved. Only Panhead was blocked (so i imagine the administrators thought he behaved worse than the other users wikiwise), and he has resented that eversince, going to several pages to warn people that MYS77, Gringo and myself are out to harass other users into submission, a downright lie as, for example, i have ceased to engage in any conversation with him and have never again edited in the two mentioned articles! You can check his talkpage (starting in the message #10, titled "July 2014"), that surely will bring more light into the subject. If not, you can consult User:Dennis Brown, he was the one that handed down the original block.

Happy week, happy editing (if you choose to further reply, please reply here instead of in my page), i am trying to keep my page as clean as possible, after this is solved i will leave WP forever. --84.90.219.128 (talk) 22:28, 17 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Well it's very hard to edit with this user around. He/she does not leave any reason in the edit summary, I don't really either but I do when it something that is potentially controversial. GoPurple'nGold24 23:16, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No man, i don't mean Gringo (i know his m.o. from way back, i do admit it can be very stressful to work with him but he's in no way a vandal), i mean the guy that posted the original message accusing Gringo and me and others of being a posse. --84.90.219.128 (talk) 23:18, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

He/she looks like trouble but I never paid attention to his/her message after seeing his/her history. GoPurple'nGold24 23:31, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I see. Thank you very much for your input, you have fun there with your editing, i'm going wikisleeping forever now after an eight-year run, i've had some good moments can't deny that, but came across a lot of bull won't lie to you (i'm sure you've had your share of encounters with vandals and idiots as well).

About Mexican football, i take great pride in improving Andrés Guardado's article in my time here, was glad to help (if i'm not mistaken, he was the only Mexican player i edited ever, but Mexican football is in good hands with editors such as yourself). About the Lakers, did you ever watch Orlando Woolridge play live or just in video? He was a terribly exciting player, in my opinion.

Now, i sign off (but i will check your reply if you choose to do so, don't worry), all the best from Portugal --84.90.219.128 (talk) 23:41, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No, I never saw him play, unfortunately I was not born yet when he played for the Lakers. Greetings from Ontario, California. GoPurple'nGold24 23:50, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I hope you are well, GoPurpleNGold24. Peace, bro. Panhead2014 (talk) 12:33, 19 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • He (the person in the line immediately above) is clearly stalking me (was i involved in the edit war that led to his blocking? YES. Did i have anything to do with him being blocked? NO), have no idea why, have been nothing but respectful to him (until he made me lose it!). He is trying to get some irate response out of me so that he can have the pleasure of seeing me blocked, poor fellow does not get it through his head i don't have any more interest in editing in WP.

Attentively (and maybe you'll receive another "Peace bro" message today). I cease all communication now about this matter, if not i'm just stalking the stalker, makes no sense. Bye! --84.90.219.128 (talk) 18:57, 19 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

OK, not going to start a pointless edit war, out of respect for your work. Hi there GNG, all well,

can you reinstate the last good version of this article, yours (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Andr%C3%A9s_Guardado&diff=672677921&oldid=672677872)? I prepared everything the minute the game ended, had already prepared all the fields for the reference hoping to find one one or two hours later, but now returned to see article has been protected due to the (habitual) idiot vandals! Here, you can use this ref for the goals he scored overall (http://espndeportes.espn.go.com/blogs/index?entryID=2427456&name=espn_datos), still have not found one reliable for PAN-MEX game itself; the title of goals is also wrong in box and chart below (it's 120/20 right?), but don't worry, like I said it's all in that version I now send you.

Yes, the first penalty decision was harsh indeed, but people need to get a life and start respecting other people's work (talking about the poor excuse for football fans and the WP vandals). Greetings from Portugal --84.90.219.128 (talk) 05:27, 23 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
