May 2020[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Sundayclose. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Richard Roeper, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Sundayclose (talk) 23:37, 27 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In the future, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history, as well as helping prevent edit conflicts. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

The Show preview button is right next to the Publish changes button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Sundayclose (talk) 23:37, 27 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Hartma9616! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia — it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Sundayclose (talk) 23:40, 27 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

June 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Jessicapierce. I noticed that you recently removed content from Godfrey Quigley without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Help me![edit]

Please help me with... Hello, this is Hartma9616. It was slipped mistake I didn’t realize, sorry for the confusion. Hartma9616 (talk) 18:16, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

July 2020[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm FlightTime Public. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Sean Penn, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! - FlightTime Public (open channel) 18:45, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello! I wanted to let you know that one of your recent contributions has been undone because it added the Good Article template to Arnold Schwarzenegger, an article that has not been promoted by the Good Article Nomination process. If you believe that this article meets the Good Article Criteria, then you are encouraged to nominate it for review by following the Good Article nominating instructions. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Good Article Nominations talk page. Thank you. -Bryan Rutherford (talk) 12:50, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Michael Douglas. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 22:07, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Denniss. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Jason Drucker, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. Hartma9616, the above warning goes very light on you. As far as I'm concerned you deserve a level 3 warning because of so many problem edits, including adding unsourced information about a living person. If you want to read the level 3 warning, look at Template:Uw-unsourced3. If I see you make another unsourced edit, you'll get level 4 warning. After that if you do it again, you'll likely lose your editing privileges. Sundayclose (talk) 19:52, 28 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'll reiterate what Sundayclose has noted above. Any content you add to biography articles must be supported by reliable sources. I removed this edit as you added it without a source and left an edit summary explaining such. Two hours later, you restored it, again without including the information in the body of the article with a reliable source as is required by both WP:BLP and Template:Infobox person.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 22:55, 28 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

August 2020[edit]

So after being warned by multiple editors above, including Ponyo, you are still adding unsourced material to Wikipedia articles. In the case of the "Julie Pitt" piece you keep adding to the Brad Pitt and Douglas Pitt articles, for example, the text calls her "Julie Neal", not "Julie Pitt." And her existence isn't even sourced in the Douglas Pitt article. And this non-notable person doesn't belong in the infobox of either article. Stop adding the name there. Flyer22 Frozen (talk) 20:31, 3 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Consider the above comment as a level 4 warning from me for unsourced edits. Next time you likely will have your editing privileges removed. Sundayclose (talk) 20:44, 3 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Goodbye[edit]

Since I have been very disrespected, uncaring, and have additionally been ignoring other users - I am officially resigning from Wikipedia. However, I will keep my account but discontinue edits. I suggest reading up on idols such as Nancy Pelosi and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, You will no longer see me in page history. I might appear on talk pages to suggest edits (as I am not reliable) but that will be all. Thank you for your service. Hartma9616 (talk) 21:23, 3 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Flyer22 Frozen[edit]

Flyer22 Frozen, do you have some problem with me, what did I ever do to you. I do not mean to be disrespectful or disturbing. Yes, I have decided to quit Wikipedia on my behalf and yours, don't dare write anything more on this user talk. Hartma9616 (talk) 15:26, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You're doing it again.[edit]

Making unsourced edits in a BLP. Stop doing it. Just stop. Is there something about "unsourced" that you don't understand? You've received multiple warnings. Your getting mad about the warnings doesn't start the warning process over. The only way to stop the warnings is to stop making unsourced edits. You could be blocked immediately, so consider this a final warning. Sundayclose (talk) 00:26, 2 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'll Stop[edit]

I appreciate the threats (since it as been ongoing), I will discontinue FOR SURE my unsourced material. Please stop being disrespectful, we are in a COVID-19. Be more happy – Hartma9616 (talk) 00:34, 2 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not being disrespectful. I'm warning you about repeated and serious policy violations so maybe you can avoid a block. Do you think there is something special about you that allows you to repeatedly violate policies and not get a warning? If you prefer, I can go ahead and get you blocked immediately instead of giving you a warning. In fact, the next time there will be no warning before the block. Sundayclose (talk) 00:41, 2 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Understood and fair. Hartma9616 (talk) 00:49, 2 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Hinted"[edit]

Regarding this edit, do you understand that what you consider "hinted" is simply your guess and not reality? The word "Republican" is nowhere in the source. In fact the only word remotely related to "Republican" is "Romney" in "Romney Institute of Public Management". So I assume your thinking is, "He attended a part of a university named for George W. Romney. Romney was a Republican, so I'm gonna guess that Carter Napier is a Republican, and that's close enough for Wikipedia". I've seen several of your edits based on "hints". If I tell you that I attended American University, is your knee-jerk reaction that I must be an American? If I say that the moon looks like it has holes in it, so it's "hinted" that it might be made of Swiss cheese, is that good enough to put "The moon is made of cheese" in a Wikipedia article? I must now insist that you find a mentor to review your edits until you gain enough insight to edit independently. An experienced mentor would have immediately seen the absurdity of such an edit and saved you and me (and probably other editors) the time in dealing with it. Go to WP:Adopt-a-user/Adoptee's Area/Adopters and ask someone on the list if they will serve as your mentor. It's nothing to be ashamed of; lots of editors get help that way. If you consider that too much of a burden, then I'm afraid that your next unsourced edit likely will result in a block with no warning. Getting mad and saying that you're leaving Wikipedia won't make things any better. A few missteps by a newcomer is understandable, but you're no longer a newcomer and several editors have warned you. Think about it. Sundayclose (talk) 01:47, 4 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sick and tired of this game your playing, when I say I will quit Wikipedia MEANS I WILL QUIT WIKIPEDIA. I am under 18, you can't make decisions or control my life for me. This is my final word with you. Farewell, Hartma9616 (talk) 21:48, 4 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

P.S.,

Oh, by the way. When I did edit on Casper, Wyoming, I WAS NOT editing to unsource an edit because I understood your message of stop doing it section in my upper talk page. Yeah, I made a mistake. Before you talked to me, I was about to revert it – so in all and all, I made a MISTAKE. Now I'm telling you that it was a mistake, I'm done with these metaphors. Lastly, do you live in Wyoming? Hartma9616 (talk) 14:45, 5 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your "mistake" was making edits without sources. If that happens once or twice with a new editor, it's a minor mistake. But when it happens repeatedly with a more experienced editor after many warnings it becomes either vandalism or immaturity. Being "under 18" is not an excuse. If you are too immature to abide by Wikipedia's policies then you shouldn't be editing without assistance. You are still expected to find a mentor; otherwise you will be blocked the next time you make an unsourced edit. If you'll follow my advice you can avoid a block. But complaining to me, telling my I'm playing "games", and repeating assertions that you are leaving Wikipedia do not solve the problem. Sundayclose (talk) 15:25, 5 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I will not edit, but keep account. Can you at least allow me to not edit and go about my business? Simple thing, so easy to answer. Are minor edits unsourced?! Then what is? Hartma9616 (talk) 17:30, 5 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I can't tell you what to do. But I can suggest that you get a mentor who might help you avoid a block. Yes, minor edits might require a source depending on the edit. If it doesn't change the meaning (such as a spelling or grammar correction) no source is required. Most minor edits do not require a source, but be very sure you carefully read WP:MINOR so you know what a minor edit is. Sundayclose (talk) 17:43, 5 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I'm 12. Hartma9616 (talk) 16:20, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Explain[edit]

Explain your comment directed at me here. Sundayclose (talk) 15:50, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Since you typically delete my edits (as they are unrealible [Understandable], but you seem to not understand I am only trying to contribute – NOT vandalize. I improved this article, and it's I changed are clearly stated in Aristotle Onassis as well as the caption I made. It said, Maria Callas 1958.jpg. There's your explanation. Hartma9616 (talk) 15:56, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That's quite immature and entirely unnecessary since I have never been involved in the Callas article. And it certainly doesn't improve my opinion of you. Just don't let it escalate to personal attacks. That can get you blocked faster than making unsourced edits. You've said you're under 18. That comment is something that a 10 year old would make. You could get along much better here if you would consider the facts behind others' criticism of your edits and stop assuming that everyone is out to get you. Sundayclose (talk) 16:17, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Sundayclose That is absolutely not what I am trying to say, I only state facts, there is NO conflict I am trying to point out. I hate to be this way, but this is NOT UNSOURCED. The articles clearly state the information, so I found a way to contribute (already sourced). And, I'm not 10. Thank you for your service. Hartma9616 (talk) 16:24, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Did I tell you that the edit is unsourced? Sourcing has nothing to do with my comments and questions to you. I didn't say you're ten. I said your comment is something a 10 year old would make. Yet again, you automatically assume that others are out to get you. Sundayclose (talk) 16:28, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That is NOT WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY!!! I have listened to you this whole time, could you at least listen to me. I am not in your books "getting mad." Hartma9616 (talk) 16:34, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This is obviously getting personal, I don't feel the urge to submit another response to you. I am SO sick and tired of this and COVID-19. I will stop and hope you will stop these comments. Done – Hartma9616 (talk) 16:36, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If the sourcing is not what you meant, then why did you shout "this is NOT UNSOURCED"? Although I sympathize with everyone (including myself) who is sick of the pandemic, if that is stressing you so much that you can't responsibly edit Wikipedia, you need to take a break from editing. Sundayclose (talk) 17:01, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, thank you. I wish good feelings towards you. Again, Hartma9616 (talk) 17:07, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Preview[edit]

Again, I ask that you please get in the habit of using the Preview function. A very small error can have damaging results, such as at Ben Bard.

Also, I will assume good faith and that you perhaps copied and pasted something wrongly, but your edit summary there ("Fixed layout, navigation for readers, enlarged text") seems to have nothing to do with your actions. It's no big deal, just wanted to bring your attention to it. Thanks, Jessicapierce (talk) 16:09, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I see, thank you for the warning. Although, I must say my edits are now based on factual information and citations, I have changed. Hartma9616 (talk) 16:11, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:56, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

March 2021[edit]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for persistently making disruptive edits. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  EvergreenFir (talk) 23:08, 23 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You were repeatedly warned about WP:BLP and WP:CITE violations in the recent past. Your user page is not a place to put fictional narratives (WP:NOTWEBHOST) and the inclusion of real-life people is a WP:BLP violation.
I wanted to indefinitely block you as WP:NOTHERE but opted for this 31 hour block. If you continue this disruptive behavior, you will be indefinitely blocked. EvergreenFir (talk) 23:10, 23 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Discretionary Sanctions Notification - BLP[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

EvergreenFir (talk) 23:11, 23 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@User:EvergreenFir I regret previous edits I have made and have wished to delete the article for a long time. I don't like being criticized because of my age and the very low but understandable skills that I have. On my behalf, I request you to delete my user page and I will permanently be signed out of this account. Wikipedia has shown me that age really does matter. Hartma9616 (talk) 23:38, 23 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Second – I do not want my user page deleted or my account removed. But I would like to be permanently blocked with no exceptions. Hartma9616 (talk) 23:40, 23 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please confirm your request regarding your user page: Do you want it deleted or not? (Your first message said you do but your second one said you do not).
Wikipedia welcomes young users, but there certainly is a level of maturity needed here. EvergreenFir (talk) 01:42, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@User:EvergreenFir I would like my user page kept. But I feel like I cannot abide by the rules of Wikipedia without guidance from experienced editors. Hartma9616 (talk) 03:33, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Okay! If/when you are ready to try Wikipedia editing again, please either follow WP:GAB or initiate a WP:CLEANSTART (see page for instructions). EvergreenFir (talk) 16:00, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@User:EvergreenFir Thank you! I will see straight to it. Should I sign out and then sign back in with a new account or stay in my current one and suspend editing for a bit. I could do either. Hartma9616 (talk) 16:02, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

My recommendation would be to stay on your current one and suspend editing for a bit. Maybe review some of the discussions at WP:BLPN and WP:RSN to get a better sense of Wikipedia's standards. EvergreenFir (talk) 16:05, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
