Madonna albums

I'll look for another source that counts what Nielsen didn't for ROL. Thank you :). --Watquaza (talk) 06:17, 14 April 2013 (UTC)

Hey friend, thank you very much!. My first barnstar on this Wikipedia and in my wiki-birthday (double gift =). You are also an inspiration to me, you are a excellent user. Thanks for all. Best regards, Chrishonduras (talk) 03:52, 16 April 2013 (UTC)

You made your first post nine days ago after selecting the review over a week prior, and the one issue you raised was addressed that day. Will you be continuing the review, or should a new reviewer be found? Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 14:05, 16 April 2013 (UTC)

Britney Spears' Circus

Hi there, I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to review Circus! I've made the adjustments you asked for, and I'd appreciate it if you took a look at them when you get the chance. Regards, WikiRedactor (talk) 21:05, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

WP:ACCESS for Circus

Sorry about that, I had went in and fixed some other issues I spotted and accidentally missed your requested revisions. Everything should be in order now! WikiRedactor (talk) 14:13, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

American Pie

You stated that "track listings are part of a song article." I must respectfully disagree. Track listings are part of an *album" article. There should not be track listings in a *song* article. Am I off base here? --Manway 15:47, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

Tracklistings are also part of a song article. Please see FA on song articles like "4 Minutes", "Rehab" and "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)". The formats and the remixes released (digital and physical). —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 17:02, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

Doubt

I have a question: this note of Craig Brown from Daily Mail is real or is satiric? (from example: "Madonna is now universally recognised as a key member of the British Establishment"). Chrishonduras (talk) 23:32, 16 April 2013 (UTC)

Definitely satiric, they hated her for trying to be British with that faux accent. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 05:44, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

Okay, thanks for your clarification. I added a little more material in "Legacy". Could you check if it's okay?. I see now, the section is more large but really this not is large. That is, with Madonna's comments after comments in various parts of the world, this section is a "stub" (put it in some way) and is exact opposite happens with artists like Mariah Carey, Cher and / or Whitney Houston (with commentary -most likely- only by press in English). Maybe has need to create a separate article with this as Critical about Madonna's work or Cultural impact of Madonna (like Cultural impact of Elvis Presley) perhaps early or late (for example, when Madonna die). It's just a comment ;). Regards, Chrishonduras (talk) 04:38, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

Yes it definitely has increased, I will try to spruce it down a bit, maybe paraphrase some quotes to reduce the length. And I would support an article about the cultural impact / legacy of Madonna separately, lol. And talkin about her death.. lol, can't even process that thought. :P —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 05:05, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
Okay, thank you. While you repair the legacy section, right now I get to work on List of artists influenced by Madonna hehe. Best all, Chrishonduras (talk) 05:13, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
Regarding that, I still want to have some sort of table structure in the article, aybe something like the artists and their quotes about Madonna's influence? —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 14:44, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
I think that section ("Comments from some artists and media attention") is similar to Wikiquote, yes, but personally I think that is necessary because many of these comments have attracted the attention of the world press and all possible contexts (Calls "Madonna" or her heirs). Really do not know if this and or if its structure is well (maybe, or maybe is Ignore all rules). Do not know, do what seems relevant. Regards, Chrishonduras (talk) 14:55, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
Well the reason why I wanted that bulleted list to be in tables was if we later nominate it for Featured List, that table structure would give it a list like appearance and make it a standalone list. Well its coming along nicely :) —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 15:01, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

I had not understood very well hehe. Well, I've finished: List of artists influenced by Madonna. Is need that you mend grammatical errors, because I'm not very well in English. I did what was within my reach. Now I am creating List of Madonna tribute albums from Anexo:Álbumes tributo a Madonna of Spanish Wikipedia. Thanks for all :). Chrishonduras (talk) 18:53, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

Wow! Its brilliant Chris, you have outdone yourself again with the sources. Its wonderful. I have watchlisted it and gradually I will go through copy editing and grammatical errors correction also. Again, its a great job that you have done. Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 02:43, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

Oh, thanks for your words , I do just everything in my reach. I see this article from El País, that serves to Confessions on a Dance Floor and to American Life. Is in Spanish, maybe you can contact with Watquazta or Luxirom ;) (remember there are more multilingual users interested in working on Madonna that in other artists hehe). And I working in List of Madonna tribute albums in my sandbox. Regards, Chrishonduras (talk) 04:09, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

Hehe thanks for the link. Google translation is working wonderfully now, at present "Nobody Knows Me" is being reviewed and I'm working on the American Life album and the "Impressive Instant" song, so those will be completed in a day or two. And can't wait for the tribute album page. Cheers, —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 04:13, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

Impressive Instant

Hi Indian! I saw you're currently working on an expand of the "Impressive Instant" article and I was wondering if you didn't need any help, as I happened to come across some sources that could potentially help to expand the "live performance" section of the article. Holler at me if you need help.--LuxiromChick (talk) 22:55, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

Well surely, any help is really appreciated. Paste them here and an advance thanks. :) —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 02:38, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
I found this in google books, and has a pretty decent paragraph regarding the "II" performance at Drowned World Tour, perhaps it would be useful to you. :) --LuxiromChick (talk) 19:17, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
Also I came across this one that talks about the Brixton gig.--LuxiromChick (talk) 03:05, 20 April 2013 (UTC)
Thanks a lot, I will include both of them. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 04:15, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

The first link is the official Yash Raj website, confirming that his character is Bikram, and the makers of Lootera have confirmed via Twitter and Facebook that his character is Varun, as well as other reliable websites. As for Ram Leela, can't it be assumed that his character's name is Ram?! I mean, it would be pretty stupid to have the title as Ram Leela, and have him play someone not Ram!! Chulbul pandey ab (talk) 08:07, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

Even if these sources say so, you have to add it to the article. You are under breaking WP:3RR now, either add sources to the article else it will be reverted again. And please read WP:BRD. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 16:36, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

Beautiful Music Video

Unlike the rest, this image might not be replaceble with another "image of homosexual men kissing". The portrayel is in the video, not in another random image that would ineffectively replace it. --Watquaza (talk) 03:42, 21 April 2013 (UTC)

It is still two homosexual men kissing, whether in real life or in the music video. I don't see anything different in the kiss, or anything unusual about it. Hence it is replaceable by free image per WP:NFCC#8. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 04:09, 21 April 2013 (UTC)

I'm finish my work. Now, is neccesary that You expand the section of "notes", that some have been reviewed by Allmusic and upload the covers. With this and/or more, the article may prove to be a FL. Regards!!! Chrishonduras (talk) 06:45, 21 April 2013 (UTC)

Okay, talk tomorrow hehe. Chrishonduras (talk) 06:46, 21 April 2013 (UTC)

Friends (season 7)

How come I'm the only one that needs to source everything?? By your logic, we'd have to reference every sentence, and that's impractical!! If you see the article, none of the other guest stars have been referenced! I'm watching the show now, and I'm just adding in guest stars, in accordance with the end credits. I'm not trying to vandalise- I'm trying to improve the article! Chulbul pandey ab (talk) 07:35, 21 April 2013 (UTC)

Any new content you add to an article without source is challengeable and removable. Its the onus of the editor who adds it. Nothing about you in particular, but since you haven't added sources to articles like Friends or Ranveer Singh, it would be removed. If you are trying to improve the article its good, just add the source and its done, no one would ask you anything else. Clear? —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 07:51, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
Ok, cool! Thanks for clearing that up! Chulbul pandey ab (talk) 08:08, 21 April 2013 (UTC)

That warning

Uh, "thanks." I did cease the tone and you know it: You keep repeating it over and over with glee. Not exactly helping things.--Aichik (talk) 17:19, 11 April 2013 (UTC)

Again, explain the notability of the edit that you are trying to make, without the PAs. Thanks. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 05:04, 12 April 2013 (UTC)
Are we all clear on this? Or do you just save all of your entries. thanks--Aichik (talk) 18:39, 23 April 2013 (UTC)

Goodbye

I apologize for my English irregular :/ hehe. It's time to say goodbye, but first is necessary review some things.

a) In many of the articles, such as "Like a Virgin" there are some examples. It's good, but they are incomplete sections. However, it is good, because that does not get tired reading our readers, and so is need this list.

b) Search Tools: To ensure a higher level of search, you need to understand more than one language (at least two of the most spoken languages in the world, Spanish or English for example, the basics).

c) This point comes in addition with "b)", because is appropriate to know many, but many reliable sources in these languages (check categories in Wikipedia is helpful; as English-language newspapers by country).

d) Addition to "b)" and "c)", to find what we want, for example, covers of songs by Madonna, by intuition or common sense we let us turn with references like WhoSampled, Allmusic, and DanishCharts, SpanishCharts, ItalianCharts (all "Charts" website from Hung Medien). Examples:

1) WhoSampled: Like a Virgin including the covers of Eläkeläiset, Wendy Sulca, The Slackers, etc. (And these artists no appear in Like a Virgin (song)#Cover versions =)
2) Danish/Spanish-or-/ItalianCharts: write "Like a Virgin" In "SEARCH (Singles)" and appear several songs called "Like a Virgin", not all are treated covers, and is necessary check in the internal link to corroborate. For example, click in "Doda", the information say that "Cover version of: Madonna - Like A Virgin" by Dorota "Doda" Rabczewska. (And She no appear in Like a Virgin (song)#Cover versions and WhoSampled =)
3) Allmusic: here you need to perform a general search, for example and check the composers (of the song) and last view the artist.

e) Even if first there is no reliable reference, we can check on other pages, such as blogs or fan sites. Usually, they cited their sources and are reliable sources, sometimes. When this does not happen, does not matter, because we rely on this information and we seek our own reliable sources.

  • I think that is necessary to create Madonna live performances (more or less as Nine Inch Nails live performances). I think that List of Madonna concert tours are not complete information. The section Notable live performances is only a list. Remember that outside concert tours in eg Madonna her performers at the MTV 1984, 1990 or 2003 have been reviewed of way the copious by world media (a little example). This and her concert tours as the Cruxifixation 2006. Is necessary put as {{See also}} in the List of Madonna concert tours as well "Music videos and performances" of Madonna (entertainer).
  • Definitely, is necessary to create the "List of works about Madonna"/"Bibliography about Madonna" or "Books about Madonna". This is important, because are hundreds of books written exclusively on Madonna in several languages and by several academics, artists, cultural critics, etc. This article exists in the Wikipedia in Spanish. It may need that some user (with expertise in Spanish-English) help to translate to the English Wikipedia. As I said last time, there are many here. If these users do not have the time or disposition, someone who is knowledgeable in English, can easily understand the Spanish, also the references are in English.
  • Maybe is necessary to create Madonna in popular culture (as Marilyn Monroe in popular culture and/or Cultural depictions of Elvis Presley). This is a fact, Madonna is more that Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey or maybe that Michael Jackson (established artists in the English markets, but also Madonna and more, in other languages; the opposite with the others, in principle =). With this case, is "super-necessary" apply many of the points mentioned up there. But is not impossible. In my opinion, the most I can assure you is that there are more "Celebrities as Madonna" for example, Rita Ora or Lindsay Lohan, several songs as She's Madonna, several films until comics as "Madonna No Existe" by Edicions De Ponent. There are also many art Exposiones about Madonna, perfumes and many products inspired by She, and of course, literature ("List of works about Madonna"/"Bibliography about Madonna" or "Books about Madonna") and television (a little example with the first post). It is difficult but not impossible.
  • Maybe or sure is necessary to create a article as "Critical response to Madonna and her work" or "Cultural impact of Madonna" (as Cultural impact of Elvis Presley). Again, this is a fact, and not only press English, this is international (remember that is oposite with others artists "icons" in English mark).

With this and more, my impression is structure the main article for Madonna. As artists like Michael Jackson. That is, separate the section "Legacy" with "Legacy and Influence". These are just comments, finally, added to that I say goodbye and sorry for my irregular English lol. Thank very much for all. Chrishonduras (talk) 06:00, 23 April 2013 (UTC)

Ummm wow! Bow down! First of all, Chris, you are one hell of an editor and I will miss you so so much. When will you return buddy? :( And I have to process and digest this paragraph slowly and gradually I will complete this. So by the time you return, you will get a nice surprise. Fairwell and always keep your head held high. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 06:08, 23 April 2013 (UTC)

I'm Back in as April 2015 :s. Well, BIO thanks for all. I chose from the beginning to work on Wikipedia in Spanish, that in German or English, because Spanish and Spanish Wikipedia are "strong" language and Wikipedia, respectly. So I'll give you some names of Wikipedia users in Spanish so you can contact them if you need any help (with Madonna and more). XanaG is a intelectual user, translator (professional) English-Spanish, Spanish-English, and She knows well German (de-2), French (fr-2) and Swedish (sv-1). She may be an administrator at Wikipedia in Spanish (good user). Miss Manzana is a user aware of music, birds and many, many other topics (She is a translator English-Spanish and Spanish-English). Miss Manzana is a administrator at Spanish Wikipedia and She is possibly the wearer with more featured articles and good in Spanish Wikipedia. She has worked on articles from U2, Madonna, Lady Gaga and Coldplay. WABBAW is a excellent user, he has a very good knowledge in English and He work in articles of countries, Madonna and ABBA (has written Good and Featured articles). MadonnaFan is a good user, He work in articles of Madonna and various artists (has written Good and Featured articles). Maragm, well, She not work in music articles, but She know this articles, is a professional traslator. Belmar 4.0 is a good user, that work in articles of Britney Spears. Phoenixh58 is a excellent user, He has a very good knowledge in English and He work in several good and featured articles, of music, television, movies, pop culture and etc. And more users, but maybe They can be helpful if you need anything as well Madonna ;). Do not worry, They are, very very friendly (Talk to them from me, that I recommended them with You -if You got need some help, of course-). Goodbye, I have nothing time :/. Also I will miss you so so much, because You are an excellent user. LOL sorry for my irregular English (I wrote with sleepy, the worst). Best regards, Chrishonduras (talk) 06:54, 24 April 2013 (UTC)

Unless officially credited in the album, we do not list other featured vocals even if they have sung in the song. Remember this when you face similar songs the next time. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 14:21, 4 May 2013 (UTC)
They are listed solely as background vocals in the album booklet, if I recall. It is only a "featuring" if they are credited as such.  — Statυs (talk, contribs) 05:21, 6 May 2013 (UTC)

I just had to do quite a lengthy revert on the article and I fear that two of your constructive edits were reverted in the process. If you would like to revisit those couple of revisions, and copy and paste them back into the present state article then please do so. There was a lot of IP and even registered user nonsense editing so it was easier to mass revert instead of undoing them individually.  — AARONTALK 11:14, 8 May 2013 (UTC)

Madonna

Comment. In consensus decision making it is essential to direct comments to the group, not to another editor. For example, in your comment "[Editor], please read here[linked] and the explanation. AGain, based on policy", adding the editor does not add to the conversation, and the statement, "Please read here[linked] and the explanation. AGain, based on policy" is fine on its own, and is instead directed to the group. There are two methods of decision making, consensus and parliamentary. Parliamentary requires directing comments to a moderator, consensus to the group. Neither allow directing comments to another participant. Thanks. Apteva (talk) 17:13, 9 May 2013 (UTC)

Oh I did not mean to offend or anything, was just pasting the policy as asked by the requestor. NOM again. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 17:16, 9 May 2013 (UTC)
Yes, that part is great, but directing the comments to an individual participant is counterproductive in consensus decision making. All of us benefit from that link. Apteva (talk) 17:51, 9 May 2013 (UTC)

Hi IndianBio, just completed my review of this article. Thanks for your patience with how long it took, and hope that it proves to be helpful. I'm putting it on hold for a week. Good luck! Writing credits

Hey there! I want to ask you some advice on an issue I'm facing with Wings (Little Mix song). A user has pointed out to me that there are 2 songwriters who are credited on ASCAP, who are not credited in the single's or the album's booklet. If these 2 songwriters are not credited in the booklets, is it necessary that I should credit them in the article? Is ASCAP a reliable source? If so, how do I go about doing the reference? Thanks so much! -- Littlemixlove (talk) 08:49, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

Yes ASCAP is a good reference where the songs are entered on the preference of the writers associated. However, at a later point if the songwriters change, those won't be reflected in the ASCAP reference, but will only be in the booklet. Hence the album booklet or the single booklet is more important in this case. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 08:56, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

Evita Soundtrack - Missing pieces

Hello, this is Ugo1970. The source for my edit to the article about the Evita soundtrack release is strictly personal, i.e. I have the DVD of the movie, I have the 2-CD soundtrack release and I watched the film from start to end and I've listened to the soundtrack release from start to finish. If anyone does what I did, it becomes very clear that two instrumental medleys which are in the movie are missing from the soundtrack release. As I wrote in my edit, the first medley ("I'd Be Surprisingly Good for You"/"You Must Love Me") is heard during the marriage scene with Colonel Peron and Eva. This scene actually happens within "A New Argentina", and this is probably why the piece wasn't included on the CD release of "A New Argentina" - it would have broken the flow of the song and made it longer than it actually is, which is more than 8 minutes. The second medley, "You Must Love Me"/"I'd Be Surprisingly Good for You"/"Don't Cry for Me Argentina" is the whole of the end credits music, so it's very easy for it to be heard in the movie if you watch it all the way through, and it's also very easy to realize that it's not on the 2-CD soundtrack release. This medley was released on the "You Must Love Me" single in a truncated version, which omits the "Argentina" section.Ugo1970 (talk) 13:20, 17 May 2013 (UTC)

Okay then just give me a hint, how can I find a third party reliable source? and Why Carey's team isn't accepted? anyways I made a source review on the bb magazine it quotes that ACCORDING TO SONY which is carey's lable! Fidel 09:29, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
Two words "Inflated sales" Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 09:50, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
it might be deflated cause Mariah had a very public conflict with her label after her divorcement from Tommy where she suffered from the lack of promotion especially her two last studio albums with Sony, the Butterfly and Rainbow Fidel 14:46, 20 May 2013 (UTC)

Anyway I'll stop changing and adding anymore pictures if that'll make you happy :) --LuxiromChick (talk) 04:56, 6 June 2013 (UTC)

Help

Hey Indian how are you? Hey listen when you got some free time, would you mind helping me correcting the mistakes of the "I Don't Give A" page?? Here is the GA Review the reviewing user left on the Article's talk page, I think I've corrected most of them but I'm not really sure, would you mind checking it out when you got the time?? Thank you!! --LuxiromChick (talk) 20:36, 8 June 2013 (UTC)

Sure, I will take a look at it. There are still many formatting issues I can see at one glance though. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 05:28, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

RE: #Beautiful

ARIA's accreditations pages are updated once per month so you're going to have to wait three weeks to see "#Beautiful" in the list, but it's certified Gold. Anyway, you'll realize it soon. · Mcdonalds (talk · cont), at 06:46, 15 June 2013 (UTC)

On My Own

Hello, I noticed you uploaded a great music sample for "Impressive Instant", would you be so kind to do the same for "On My Own (Yasmin song)" please? I'm trying to improve the article and am useless at uploading OGG files. 20 seconds long preferably! Thanks so much. - GlassBalloon (talk) 22:22, 17 June 2013 (UTC)

Red

Sorry, that was an accidental revert. I was on my iPod and my finger accidentally hit 'rollback'. My bad. :( Toa Nidhiki05 13:00, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

Even I thought so. Why would you add such a thing. :( —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 13:21, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

Lady Gaga

Hello, I wanted to edit the Lady Gaga article under the section of 2008-2010 where it states that The Monster Ball Tour is "the highest-grossing for a debut headlining artist". This is contradictory because as stated in the article for The Fame Ball Tour, it was her debut concert tour. The article for The Monster Ball Tour states that it is her second world-wide concert tour. If The Monster Ball Tour was her second tour, it can't be the highest-grossing debut.MCMCTT (talk) 17:32, 21 June 2013 (UTC)

Fame Ball was not a debut "headlining" tour, it was a joint and music festival tours many a times. Monster Ball is her "debut headlining" tour. And you removed a sourced content, which constituted it as vandalism and you did not provide any edit summary also. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 17:37, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
