MDNA Tour

I'm very sorry but you are indeed very wrong. The Epix broadcast will be exactly the same as the DVD release since the editing for the film is done. When the Sticky & Sweet Tour video album was released on DVD, the entire film including the ending credits were identical to it's broadcast on VH1 before it's release on DVD. This is same for the Confessions Tour video album as well. However, we can wait for the MDNA DVD release so that you will not be reverting assiduous edits based on personal opinion. Thank you for your time!  — TheMadonnaMusicCN (talk, contribs) 06:44, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

I'm very sorry but you have not edited within policy and guidelines. Before calling your edits as assiduous, please familiarize with the wikipedia policies of Crystal Ball and Original research. You added a set list which has not been confirmed whether to be present in the DVD or not, violating Crystal. You then added the content without citing any source at all, violating Original research. Editing of a film is "done", does not mean that everything shown in the said broadcast will appear in the DVD, there can be more or less than what was shown. Case in point the Sticky and Sweet Tour broadcast. Epix did not show the "Like a Virgin" impromptou part which was recorded in DVD and present in the tracklisting also. So you can never be sure what can be the tracklist until you are referencing a third party reliable source or from Madonna's mouth herself. So, yeah, I was right to remove such original research from the somewhat well-shaping article. Hope it explains your concerns and queries. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 06:30, 24 June 2013 (UTC)

Your warnings are close, but not quite right. There are plenty of fine charts that are not listed at WP:GOODCHARTS. To be listed at WP:GOODCHARTS, the site has to provide an archive. There's also WP:OKAYCHARTS, which are good charts that need manual archiving. Neither list is complete. Usually, you need to point the editor at WP:BADCHARTS or WP:SINGLENETWORK.—Kww(talk) 17:03, 26 June 2013 (UTC)

Re: Your edits to Frozen (Madonna song)

I appreciate what you're doing but could you spend a little more time and consideration and fix what's wrong, rather than broadly revert? If you have the time to revert, it can't possibly be that much effort to remove the nowiki tags; or, if you're going to revert, could you at least then add what is valuable from my edits?

I'm not sure whether VisualEditor is buggy (beyond what it should be as a beta/beta-esque release), but I'm definitely not intentionally and maliciously inserting nowiki. --Qwerty Binary (talk) 05:39, 3 July 2013 (UTC)

The onus lies to you for removing/adding tags or whatever it is that needed to be done to eliminate the mess the VE made. I stated cearly that I don't have time to clean this mess. And why use VE when you saw time and time again that it created a mess? Normal edit made perfectly fine then. Per my understanding, I'm not going to use VE until these BEta issues get resolved. :( —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 05:52, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
Well, I have edited the page after you and I don't want this to be antagonistic. Is it all right now?
As for VE, I checked the box (to opt out) after the edits to the page. It so strange that you have to opt out of using it rather than opt in to use it. Don't you agree? --Qwerty Binary (talk) 06:00, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
It is fine now. And yes, VE is causing a bit of mess right now and frankly this will cause more havoc with the new uses who will surely make a mess with their edits. Typically new users take some time to get accustomed to the code jargon of wiki, and VE will probably make it more complex. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 06:20, 3 July 2013 (UTC)

Hot 100 Airplay is a component chart of Hot 100, so no. Rhythmic Top 40 is not advised since the song is already on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs, as it is placing WP:UNDUE weightage on the US Charts. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 13:31, 5 July 2013 (UTC)

Not 3RR

The last edit was the first revert of a footnote in the infobox. It did not touch or remove anything that any other editor had previously put in the article. If you look at the article lead and the birthdate there, that is untouched.

I'd asked you to go to the talk page for that article, where I've added a discovery that may settle this once and for all. In the meantime, I would ask you to remove your untrue allegation. --Tenebrae (talk) 04:04, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

3RR's are not just on a particular content. It's over the same content that the two of you have been disputing. I see now that the revert has stopped at 2RR for you and 3RR for Teammm. I can also see that you guys are discussing in the talk page and that's all good then. as you have said, you have discovered some good evidence, I'm sure it can all be sorted now. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 04:15, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
Well, I do appreciate that. Thank you, and I mean that sincerely, though it's only 1RR for me; I left his content alone and made one revert of a new addition to the infobox. In either event, I'd ask you remove the 3RR warning you concede was left on my page in error. With thanks, --Tenebrae (talk) 11:10, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
OK, I guess after three days I have to remove that spurious and unfounded accusation myself. Casting false aspersions on other editors is quite serious. I father you've only been on Wikipedia since last year but that's still time enough to know this. Additionally, I urge you to go to Talk:Mariah Carey, read People magazine's statement of the lengths it went to to confirm the year, and in all intellectual honesty tell me that's not major, significant documentation. --Tenebrae (talk) 14:37, 15 July 2013 (UTC)
Let's get this straight Tenebrae, you did not cross 3RR, so no harm done and no one is judging you as a criminal. Relax. Coming to MC, yes I did read the discussion but have not contributed yet, wanted to see what others say. People did snooped aroud quite a bit to get that info and my hunch is that they are right. I have to ask, how much snooping as a journalist can you do for just sanity checking this information? I believe you would have more contacts to someone from People since you yourself is in the profession. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 14:42, 15 July 2013 (UTC)

Your rollback request

Hi IndianBio, I have granted rollback rights to your account in accordance with your request. Please be aware that rollback should be used to revert vandalism/spam/blatantly unconstructive edits, and that using it to revert any other type of edit - such as by revert-warring or reverting edits you disagree with - can lead to it being removed from your account...sometimes without any warning depending on the admin who becomes aware of any misuse. If you think an edit should require a reason for reverting, use a manual edit summary instead of using the rollback tool. For practice, you may wish to see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. Mariah Carey

Hi,I need your attention to Mimi's discography concerning the studio albums "Butterfly" and "Rainbow"... the sales are extremely old and vulnerable for inflation. Why? Because first, Butterfly source stated that it has sold 8 million copies in the first 4months of its release. and 2nd look at the certifications, the certifications alone states of 8 million certified copies so initially the album sales would be increased by 40% to 60% .... so I do suggest that the total claimed sales for Butterfly would be around 12 million and Rainbow by 10 million. Main Page appearance: Priyanka Chopra

This is a note to let the main editors of Priyanka Chopra know that the article will be appearing as today's featured article on August 14, 2013. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. If you prefer that the article appear as TFA on a different date, or not at all, please ask featured article director Raul654 (talk · contribs) or one of his delegates (Dabomb87 (talk · contribs), Gimmetoo (talk · contribs), and Bencherlite (talk · contribs)), or start a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article/requests. You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/August 14, 2013. If it needs tweaking, or if it needs rewording to match improvements to the article between now and its main page appearance, please edit it, following the instructions at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/instructions. The blurb as it stands now is below:

Priyanka Chopra (born 1982) is an Indian film actress and singer, and was the winner of the Miss World pageant of 2000. She has become one of Bollywood's highest-paid actresses and one of the most popular celebrities in India. She has won a National Film Award for Best Actress and Filmfare Awards in four categories. She made her acting debut in the Tamil film Thamizhan in 2002. The following year, she starred in The Hero, her first Hindi film release, and followed it with the box-office hit Andaaz. She subsequently earned critical recognition as a seductress in the 2004 thriller Aitraaz. By 2006, Chopra had established herself as a leading actress of Hindi cinema with starring roles in the highly successful films Krrish and Don. After receiving mixed reviews for a series of unsuccessful films, she received critical acclaim for her portrayal of unconventional characters, including a troubled model in the 2008 drama Fashion, a feisty Marathi woman in the 2009 caper thriller Kaminey, a serial killer in the 2011 neo-noir 7 Khoon Maaf, and an autistic woman in the 2012 romantic comedy Barfi! She released her first music single "In My City" in 2012, and her second single "Exotic" in 2013. (Full article...)

"Hung Up" article

Hi! I recently improved the French article regarding Madonna's filmography and I found an article from Rolling Stone from late 2005 (while promoting COADF) in which she mentions a musical project with Luc Besson and how she wrote songs that never made it but reworked some for her album, including "Hung Up". However I don't know how I could include the information properly, would you mind doing it if you consider it reliable? Thanks .

And by the way, nice job on getting all those Madonna articles to GA! I hope one day the French Wikipedia will have great articles as well about M! Amzer (talk) 16:56, 9 August 2013 (UTC)

Seriously - I have given the source to the credits PLENTY of times and you still say it is no source given. Get a grip!79.197.206.102 (talk) 17:42, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

How is a direct quote considered copyright vio?

72.238.143.251 (talk) 06:16, 26 August 2013 (UTC)

There is a limit of directly quoting. You might wanna go thorough WP:COPYVIO and stop such additions as they are considered malicious. One or two lines rephrasing what PErrry said is fine. What youare adding is borderline fancrufty and copyvio. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 06:27, 26 August 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for August 26

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Confessions on a Dance Floor, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Like a Prayer (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Chart tables at Music

Hi! Please share your views on the subject on the talk page.[2] :) IMHO it's no big deal whether we have tables there or not, it's just the size of the article that (in my opinion) forces us to keep the focus on the whole album and not add every piece of info. -- Puisque (talk) 03:25, 27 August 2013 (UTC)

Ya its not a big deal as you explained it. I just have seen it in many GA/FA level articles though, hence the revert. :) —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 04:37, 27 August 2013 (UTC)

Million Award

The Million Award
For your contributions to bring Sex (book) (estimated annual readership: 4,118,000) to Good Article status, I hereby present you the Million Award. Congratulations on this rare accomplishment, and thanks for all you do for Wikipedia's readers. -- Khazar2 (talk) 13:18, 28 August 2013 (UTC)

The Million Award is a new initiative to recognize the editors of Wikipedia's most-read content; you can read more about the award and its possible tiers (Quarter Million Award, Half Million Award, and Million Award) at Wikipedia:Million Award. You're also welcome to display this userbox:

This editor won the Million Award for bringing Sex (book) to Good Article status.

If I've made any error in this listing, please don't hesitate to correct it; if for any reason you don't feel you deserve it, please don't hesitate to remove it; if you know of any other editor who merits one of these awards, please don't hesitate to give it; if you yourself deserve another award from any of the three tiers, please don't hesitate to take it! Cheers and all best, -- Khazar2 (talk) 13:18, 28 August 2013 (UTC)

OMG, I did not know it had that many views :O. Thanks a lot Khazar. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 13:47, 28 August 2013 (UTC)
I was shocked by this one too! I have to assume that many of these people are just Googling "sex book" or "sex" and ending up at the article? Surely this book is not still that popular. That's not to take away from your achievement in getting the article to GA, though! Any time one of our top 500 articles becomes a GA, it's a big milestone. Again, nice work! -- Khazar2 (talk) 14:03, 28 August 2013 (UTC)

Madonna images

Why were the images unessential? Those are beneficiary per template:infobox single and template:infobox album. And how did these images violate WP:NFCC? --George Ho (talk) 13:24, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

You are adding images that are gross violation of WP:NFCC#3a and WP:NFCC#8. Useless extra covers are not added unless they are significantly contributing in reader's understanding of the article, check MDNA. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 13:44, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
Well, can I at least replace current infobox images with American (or first) editions of singles, please? After all, Madonna became an American since birth. --George Ho (talk) 14:03, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
I think that is correct to do but please be careful. Leave a note on the talk page of every changed articles. The singles cover art is always the nationality of the artist. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 14:08, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

Can I at least add caption, "1989 release", for Oh Father? Also, I found images that can be of first regular editions:

I even uploaded a new version of File:Eurythmics SADIFT.jpg. --George Ho (talk) 14:25, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

Would you mind getting a consensus at WP:SONGS wikiproject? No alternate images are allowed without commentary though and you cannot add such images because they fail WP:NFCC as I pointed out above. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 14:30, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
I meant replacing images, not adding them. --George Ho (talk) 14:34, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
As for the consensus thing, I have this discussed at WP:VPP#Adding extra cover arts in album and singles articles. --George Ho (talk) 21:39, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

Just one question: is File:Madonna Bedtime Stories Velvet Pack CD ALBUM.jpg free or non-free in terms of originality? --George Ho (talk) 15:16, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

Completely non-free. If I take a picture of any book, CD, DVD, logo piccture and cover art, it is still non-free. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 11:38, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
How so? There is only text, and the background is simply... velvet blue(?). There is no one in the background. See Nirvana (Nirvana album). --George Ho (talk) 15:34, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
Because this is not just a plain text image like the Nirvana one. The background is textured I can see and that is never a non-free image. See the cover arts for "Judas" (non free even if text) and "When Love Takes Over" (plain text and geometric symbols). —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 15:41, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

Instead of removing the image, perhaps can you non-speedy nominate one of images of Material Girl for deletion by using Twinkle? The European image was added back. --George Ho (talk) 17:06, 6 September 2013 (UTC)

Lemme guess it must be that user:Aspects who has no clue about NFCC and interprets it as his own fan-rule. I hate such non-deletionists! —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 17:26, 6 September 2013 (UTC)
Third opinion about images of Madonna's debut album has arrived in Talk:Madonna (Madonna album). --George Ho (talk) 00:33, 7 September 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the notification will comment, looks like we have a consensus. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 05:16, 7 September 2013 (UTC)
