Bayern stuff

Hello JAELLEE,

please check the last ref I added to Christian Saba's article. In it, does KREISKLASSE apply to a proper word or is it the competition (that I have just confirmed it exists, at amateur level am I correct?)? It will only take you a few seconds to discover it I think.

Happy 2016 (with a bit of delay), from Portugal --84.90.219.128 (talk) 22:07, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

  • Another one, Hans Pflügler. After what another editor wrote in a summary, is his name in short Hans, Hansi (which I know exists in German language) or both (could be)? If it is only Hansi, do you think a page move is warranted? Also, I tried desperately to find a reference of him being convinced by Trapattoni to return but, after more than one hour browsing, I gave up (but stil found some sources for other stuff, hopefully I got them in the right place).

Speaking of sources, last time I read it the 11 Freunde article did not mention anything about him being a licensed engineer (of course I can be completely mistaken), and now probably we (I?) will never be sure, ref is dead! Attentively --84.90.219.128 (talk) 02:19, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

  • Another one, Thomas Linke. Man, I nearly blew my mind trying to translate reference #5 from Der Spiegel, really could not make anything of it, but I think only one word (Bauerndisco) is missing :( --84.90.219.128 (talk) 18:02, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

Still in relation with Mr. Linke: have just cleaned up Alexander Zickler and, judging from the pics info, both seem to have been taken in the same match. So, if Linke's is from a charity match, so is Zickler's right? --84.90.219.128 (talk) 18:00, 22 January 2016 (UTC)

  • I only used "farm" in order to be as less derogatory as possible. However, since you are 100% sure "hillbilly" is better, I made the pertinent corrections. Many thanks for the assistance, take care --84.90.219.128 (talk) 19:32, 23 January 2016 (UTC)

My page - Others

Hi there JAELLEE, all well?

1 - Like I said in the summary, I know you were only trying to help, but the guy that last sent a message to my talkpage was in no way vandalizing it, we are on quite good terms. Maybe just a technical glitch? No problems, I know you are also on "the good side";

2 - Again, Mr. Badstuber?! I was beginning to feel confident after he racked up 5/6 games in a row, but it's "reset and start over" again for him. If he does not have a morale of steel, I don't see it ending well for him, football-wise that is.

All the best --84.90.219.128 (talk) 23:29, 15 February 2016 (UTC)

Name change of article

Friend, please help. I mistakenly make the name Christopher with the TH... The article is therefore Christhopher Josue Ortiz Gonzalez but the first name is must change to be into Christopher and not Christhopher. Is in your authority change this please? Rojodiablcerrocerrocerro 26 April 2016

@Rojodiablcerrocerrocerro: As you already created a more or less identical article with the name Christopher Josue Ortiz Gonzalez I just changed the one with the wrong spelling into a redirect. If you think that this redirect can be deleted, you will have to ask and admin to do this, I cannot help you with this.
An advice for the next time you create an article with a wrong name: you may just move the article, see Wikipedia:Moving a page. This saves you the work of creating the article a second time with the correct name. --Jaellee (talk) 16:11, 26 April 2016 (UTC)

2015–16 Dynamo Dresden season

Hi. Just started 2015–16 Dynamo Dresden season. Could you please help a little. Kingjeff (talk) 23:07, 4 May 2016 (UTC)

Luca Toni

Please, some help if you will on Luca Toni. There is a persistent editor again who insists the friendship and proposed "Albanian descent" from a dead url are relevant. Thanks. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 20:10, 9 May 2016 (UTC)

June 2016

Hello, I'm Wolfinho6 (talk) 14:14, 6 June 2016 (UTC). First, thank you for your message. I added a reliable source and hope it's fine now.

Yeah, sorry I know. I just tried to make it right but I'm not used to Wikipedia editing. Sorry.. Wolfinho6 (talk) 19:27, 6 June 2016 (UTC)

[Joachim Löw]Personal Life edit

Hello,

I already discussed this matter with Invisible Guy (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Invisible_Guy#.5BJoachim_L.C3.B6w.5D_Personal_life_edit). It's a fact, there are reliable sources behind it. It is in no way an act of vandalism. I get that you're a fan of the german football team (as am I), but you have to stay impartial in presenting and judging the information.

185.32.100.228 (talk) 16:29, 14 June 2016 (UTC)

Can you imagine a paragraph like this in any halfway respectable encyclopedia? In the Encyclopædia Britannica? Brockhaus? This is something that belongs in the gossip columns. --Jaellee (talk) 16:34, 14 June 2016 (UTC)

So if I was to adhere to your point of view, the whole "Personal Life" category should be removed, as everything it states could be considered gossip. You should read the Wikipedia definition of gossip. A rumor is something that is founded on absolutely nothing. There is a video[1] showing Low scratching his private parts and then smelling his hand. It is a behaviour he has shown in the past, and thus reflects on his personality.

185.32.100.228 (talk) 16:44, 14 June 2016 (UTC)

You conclusions are quite unfounded, you take one word out of a sentence and harp on it, even when I mentioned "gossip columns", not "gossip" alone. I recommend to read Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons: "Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a tabloid: it is not Wikipedia's job to be sensationalist, or to be the primary vehicle for the spread of titillating claims about people's lives; ...", espescially WP:BLPGOSSIP: "Ask yourself whether the source is reliable; whether the material is being presented as true; and whether, even if true, it is relevant to a disinterested article about the subject." (emphasis mine). In my opinion, this is a clear no. I did not say that it was not true, I said it was not relevant. --Jaellee (talk) 17:13, 14 June 2016 (UTC)

Kloppos Unterschrift

War ja klar, dass ein Bayernfan die Unterschrift wieder rauslöscht ... Bis zu meiner Anfrage bei der Deutschen Wikipedia hat das hier keinen gestört. Sehr durchschaubar. Schönes Wochenende! --GeoTrinity (talk) 10:23, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

Bitte unterlasse Deine absurden Mutmaßungen. Ich habe die Unterschrift rausgelöscht, weil sie
  • nicht in eine Infobox gehört: An infobox is a panel ... that summarizes key features of the page's subject. (siehe Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Infoboxes)
--GeoTrinity (talk) 16:28, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

Renato Sanches

Can't you wait 1 hour and 21 minutes? SLBedit (talk) 22:39, 30 June 2016 (UTC)

Why should I? The relevant transfer window is the one of the national association the player moves to, i.e. Germany. In Germany the transfer window opens on 1 July (German time, of course, i.e. CEST). So from that time on the contract is in effect. What time Wikipedia uses is completely irrelevant. --Jaellee (talk) 06:16, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

Fupa?

Oh my lord. Why is Fupa now not a realible source?Fodbold-fan (talk) 13:14, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
Because most of its content is usergenerated, like Wikipedia itself. Therefore it cannot be used as a reliable source. --Jaellee (talk) 22:45, 5 July 2016 (UTC)

Fabian Benko

Hi Jaellee, thanks for reviewing Fabian Benko and correcting a few things. The page has this morning been nominated for deletion. Could you please provide your thoughts on the discussion page? Thanks, Liam E. Bekker (talk) 06:19, 20 August 2016 (UTC)

Landon Donovan

What do you mean by time stamps? — Preceding unsigned comment added by PorkChopWiki (talkcontribs) 22:11, 18 September 2016 (UTC)

@PorkChopWiki: At the bottom of a football player's infobox is a line that says Senior club appearances and goals counted for the domestic league only and correct as of and then comes a time stamp. In Donovan's case it says "23:05, 12 September 2016 (UTC)". This means that the number of appearances and goals is correct as of that date. When you just update the number of appearances and goals without updating this time stamp, then the content of the infobox is wrong and other editors might accidentally update the stats again. So pleasedo also update the |pcupdate= (or |club-update=) parameter. The easiest way is to use ~~~~~ which automatically inserts the time stamp of the edit. --Jaellee (talk) 18:37, 19 September 2016 (UTC)

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

Hello, Jaellee. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

Artjoms Rudņevs

The edit the user made was correct. As with many who are unfamiliar with editing on Wikipedia, he didn't know to update the time stamp below. Instead of blindly reverting his otherwise correct edit, you could have easily changed the time stamp. By doing what you did, you provided no positive contribution whatsoever, which is not surprising. 129.59.122.16 (talk) 21:29, 13 December 2016 (UTC)

As an (apparently) more experienced member, you should understand that not everyone sits on Wikipedia all the time, checking messages and going back to fix edits, especially since it was an anonymous user. It would have been a lot easier for everyone, and better for the content, for you to just change the time stamp, something that I accomplished in a matter of seconds. That is all I will say on this matter. Tschüss! 129.59.122.16 (talk) 21:46, 13 December 2016 (UTC)

Hi, Jaelee. I just undid a change you made on a contribution of mine because the previous version was actually the accurate one. Anyway, in addition, I added the original source, which was missing in the articles' first versions. Thank you! Clint (talk) 22:33, 21 June 2016 (UTC)

Julian Draxler

According to other sources, it was confirmed that Draxler will be joining PSG and the official Facebook and Instagram page had indicated that he would be joining PSG. --CO16 (talk) 19:39, 24 December 2016

Then why would the team announced that he will be transferring to PSG?
