Reversion in El Al destinations

El Al doesn't fly to these destination, hence they are not active. You have other info? Provide your source dindia (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 07:51, 23 April 2017 (UTC)

The sources supporting the terminated destinations were already there, just take a look at them. Removing valid sources from articles can at least be considered disruptive. Separately, threads go at the bottom of talk pages, not at their top [1]
According to current Elal page it doesn't doesn't fly to Eilat, Ovda, Krakow or Saint Petersburg. Instead of the current information you stick to an archived page from 10 years ago! I updated the archived page with a current one. I seriously don't understand what the problem is.
Sorry about the thread, my bad. dindia (talk) 07:20, 24 April 2017 (UTC)
None of the two entries for Eilat are supported by the source you added here [2]. I've marked these two entries with a citation neeeded tag until anyone finds a new reference.--Jetstreamer Talk 23:23, 24 April 2017 (UTC)

It would have taken you all of 15 seconds to verify the veracity of those edits, instead you wasted 20 minutes of both my and your time. You made it incredibly difficult for me - an infrequent contributor - to add sources, because of your incessant edit reversions. Congrats 👏 173.14.251.57 (talk) 20:25, 24 May 2017 (UTC)
From now on you know that you should provide sources (or ask to add them for you once you provide them) but not to search them for you. That's not how Wikipedia works. And the way I see this, you made me spend 20 minutes of my time on this.--Jetstreamer Talk 21:36, 24 May 2017 (UTC)

User:Metropolinx

Hi Jetstreamer,

As of recently, I came across this user removing valid sources to airport articles. Although they've been removing sources for newly commenced destinations, I think I remember there being a discussion at WT:AIRPORTS overturning this practice. I gave the user a sincere warning about their behavior, and it looks as though they've been completely ignoring the warnings.

It looks like you've warned them quite a bit over the last month or so, and I'm not sure what should be done from here about this. Have any ideas? Thanks/regards. 172.58.43.240 (talk) 01:56, 25 May 2017 (UTC)

I'd start a discussion at WT:AIRPORTS. The matter of removing such sources is not settled.--Jetstreamer Talk 13:46, 25 May 2017 (UTC)

Hello there. I'm looking for admin assistance since I cannot moved Indore - Rajendranagar Express (via Sultanpur) back to its original name. The user who moved the article (Jaywardhan009 (talk · contribs)) ignored the ongoing discussion regarding a merge of Indore - Rajendranagar Express (via Sultanpur) into Indore–Patna Express and proceeded unilaterally. Please also note my merge proposal already had one support [3], so me move is not uncontroversial. Thank you.--Jetstreamer Talk 22:15, 8 July 2017 (UTC)

P.D.: I see a lot of warnings at this user's talk page regarding article moves without prior discussions.--Jetstreamer Talk 22:24, 8 July 2017 (UTC)

I am not an admin, however i did attempt to move the page back, and did so, kinda successfully, the only difference now is instead of there being 1 -, there is now 2, so this should be left open for the time being, because an admin might be able to put it back to where it originally was. Can you please intervene and sort this out? a guy has created an old text style list in destinations article listing only new routes, I made a table format one with referenced former and current routes per wiki standards, i.e wiki says if historical references are available historical data can be included, added, retained in article, but he keeps removing it and restoring text list with just new routes, what am I doing wrong? admin says they are deliberating over it and telling me and that chap to reach consensus between ourselves, for what? I don't see me having flouted any wiki rule? what are admin deliberating over when the situation is black and white? either you retain text list with four new routes or keep wiki standard table with former and new routes.

This table I created was at first in main Wataniya article, till this guy decided it needs a separate article for listing just four destinations and that too in old text style, when easily it could have remained in the main article in table or even text list format. 139.190.254.44 (talk) 02:30, 23 July 2017 (UTC)

DYK for Nigeria Airways

On 30 July 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Nigeria Airways, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that in the late 1980s, the now defunct airline Nigeria Airways took delivery of the last DC-10 ever built? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Nigeria Airways. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Nigeria Airways), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Iberia 330-200

The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section.

Copy from my talk page.

Sorry but not all is quotable. Is a fact this planes were from Iberia, was enrolled by the company, and there are images with the painting of the company. In the official table of orders and deliveries of Airbus appers 12 operaiting Airbus A330-200 for Iberia and actually Iberia has only 10. Level has 2 operating airbus A330-200 and 0 orders and deliveries by Airbus. More evidencies than planespotters.com records if you consider that this good web is a non reliable soucre. - 87.217.213.133 (talk) 16:45, 2 September 2017 (UTC)

If you think that not all in Wikipedia is citable (I suppose you meant this rather than quotable), please read WP:VERIFY, which is a basic policy. Regarding planespotters, you may ask whether it is a reliable source at WT:AIRLINE. It is not what I think but what the project does.--Jetstreamer Talk 17:25, 2 September 2017 (UTC)
I think that the table of orders and deliveries is a sufficiently apt quote, is the demonstration of where those two planes have gone.
If your policy (sorry but your, not the all the wikipedia policy) were followed, wikipedia would have half of content that has nowadays because not everything (especially in specific issues and without importance to society as the number of aircrafts of an airline at a specific date), are publicly published . In this case are many proofs of the relocation of these A330-200 of Level from Iberia. If you want sources I will cite the official Airbus table of orders and deliveries and planespotters (because there is not a list published and available of the planes of Level nor of Iberia nor of any Spanish company). It's funny that you intervene for this and not for this , according to your rules you should have reversed the edition and put that Iberia operates 12 Airbus A330-200 when it's clear that operates 10 because if you stick to your policies as this fact doesn't appear anywhere that should be changed to the information of the only reference 12 operational A330-200. - 87.217.213.133 (talk) 18:08, 2 September 2017 (UTC)
I don't stick to my policies but to the Wikipedia ones, and will oversee for them everytime I can. If you think you can break the policies then do not get upset when anyone reverts your edits.--Jetstreamer Talk 18:44, 2 September 2017 (UTC)
I'm sorry but you're too lazy to try to justify, you don't even answer my questions/reasons. Here are:
"not everything (especially in specific issues and without importance to society as the number of aircrafts of an airline at a specific date), are publicly published ","If you want sources I will cite the official Airbus table of orders and deliveries and planespotters (because there is not a list published and available of the planes of Level nor of Iberia nor of any Spanish company)","according to your rules you should have reversed the edition and put that Iberia operates 12 Airbus A330-200 when it's clear that operates 10 because if you stick to your policies as this fact doesn't appear anywhere that should be changed to the information of the only reference 12 operational A330-200". - 87.217.213.133 (talk) 18:58, 2 September 2017 (UTC)

Ezeiza edition

Hi Jetstreamer!

First of all, beg you pardon, I was really tired while editing the Ministro Pistarini International Airport article, I hope that can explain why I wrote nothing in the summary of my edition. Second, I reverted your reversion, because of this, it is an article in spanish by some news agency specialized in tourism, and they explain how Aerolíneas Argentinas no longer flies between Montevideo and Ezeiza, only to AEP, and how now, also with no more Air France flights into Montevideo, the people is now forced to use Guarulhos even more and more for international connections. Third, was there any reason for the lack of good faith you showed by giving me a level 2 warning of blanking? Although I appreciate you taking the time to put a message on my talk page (even if is an automated message), don't you think it is a little bit too much for eliminating a single piece of data from an article, especially taking into account that it was apparently the first time I did such thing, that I am a veteran user, and that other options like the simple revertion warning would have been enough? Please don't take this as some kind of attack, it is just a consideration for future situations. I know you probably just did it out of habit, but a new user might not think the same, and that could drive him or her away from here, depriving us from a potential contributor that can help Wikipedia to grow even more.

Wishing you a great day! Felviper (talk) 03:05, 28 October 2017 (UTC)

Comodoro Rivadavia Airport

Hello, I am confused about this matter in the General Enrique Mosconi International Airport page. Previously (i.e., before my edit), the page read "The airfield is located 11 km of the city", which does not sound right in English. My edit simply inserted the word "north" between "km" and "of". The airport is north of the city, as anyone in Argentina (or on Google Maps) can verify. Then your edit requested to cite a reliable source for that? For the fact that it's "11 km north of the city" instead of "11 km of the city" (?). — Preceding unsigned comment added by GiovanniS (talkcontribs) 23:47, 22 October 2017 (UTC)

Yes, I see that you are confused actually: 11 km means a radius in any direction. You must provide a citation for a more precise statement (north, east, west, southeast, etc.) in accordance with WP:VERIFY.--Jetstreamer Talk 01:06, 23 October 2017 (UTC)
Hi, I have two comments, one regarding English form, and the other regarding standard Wikipedia verification policy. About English usage: my point was that the current phrasing "11 km of the city" is not grammatically correct -- perhaps "11 km from the city" would be okay. About verification policy: well, I have checked the pages of other famous airports such as JFK in New York City, and it says (copy paste) "JFK is located in the neighborhood of Jamaica in the New York City borough of Queens, 10 miles (20 km) southeast of Midtown Manhattan". Notice how they do NOT provide bibliographic citations for the precise location of JFK with respect to NYC (with good reason). I understand the importance of statements needing reliable sources, but I question that a simple and objective geographical fact (i.e., that an airport is north or south of the city is serves) warrants such need for references. Thank you for a constructive discussion. GiovanniS (talk) 14:11, 23 October 2017 (UTC)
Regarding the JFK example all I can mention is WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. I wonder if the information in the lead of that article is sourced in any other section below.--Jetstreamer Talk 19:19, 23 October 2017 (UTC)

Ailtalia new B777-300ER edit

I'm sorry Jetstreamer if i made any mistakes. But there are Youtube videos, sources, and Alitalia.com official website, that confirm the new Alitalia Boeing 777-300ER (EI-WLA) is now in the fleet and it operates Rome-FCO to Saõ Paolo-GRU route since yesterday night. So that plane is absolutelly NOT stored. I'm going to search for new reliable sources to change that wrong content again. Thank you too. 20WashingtonPaul Talk 12:25, 9 December 2017 (UTC)

New Page Reviewing

Hello, Jetstreamer.

As one of Wikipedia's most experienced editors,
Would you please consider becoming a New Page Reviewer? Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time but it requires a good understanding of Wikipedia policies and guidelines; currently Wikipedia needs experienced users at this task. (After gaining the flag, patrolling is not mandatory. One can do it at their convenience). But kindly read the tutorial before making your decision. Thanks. — Insertcleverphrasehere (or here) 05:33, 26 December 2017 (UTC)

New page reviewer granted

Hello Jetstreamer. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers" user group, allowing you to review new pages and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or in some cases, tag them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is a vital function for policing the quality of the encylopedia, if you have not already done so, you must read the new tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the various deletion criteria. If you need more help or wish to discuss the process, please join or start a thread at page reviewer talk.

  • URGENT: Please consider helping get the huge backlog down to a manageable number of pages as soon as possible.
  • Be nice to new users - they are often not aware of doing anything wrong.
  • You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted - be formal and polite in your approach to them too, even if they are not.
  • Don't review a page if you are not sure what to do. Just leave it for another reviewer.
  • Remember that quality is quintessential to good patrolling. Take your time to patrol each article, there is no rush. Use the message feature and offer basic advice.

The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In case of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, the right can be revoked at any time by an administrator. Biblio (talk) 18:19, 2 January 2018 (UTC)

Turkish Airlines A350 purchase

Dear Jetstreamer,

I recently made an edit to the Turkish Airlines page and added their A350 purchase. You messaged me saying the information is incorrect and proceeded to remove my edit. You were partially correct. What I stated was that Turkish Airlines purchased 25 new aircrafts. All the articles state turkish airlines have purchased 20 Airbus A350s initially with an option to buy 5 more at a later date. I hope to see my change added back to the page as there is a lot of evidence pointing to me being correct. Feel free to message me if you have any concerns. Thanks

Username hidden

Hey, I removed your question from the AfD because the diff in question was oversighted: that means not even admins can see it, and we typically try to avoid calling attention to those edits. In this case, my assumption is that someone edited while logged out, and requested that their IP address be hidden from even administrators by oversighter. I can't see the content with my admin bit, which is how I know it is suppressed. TonyBallioni (talk) 01:37, 2 February 2018 (UTC)

@TonyBallioni: Thanks for the notice, but how do we know those comments are not duplicated, i.e., that they are not from the same user that edited logged in and logged out?--Jetstreamer Talk 01:41, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
It doesn't seem to be a big deal, but why is it not policy that, if someone requests their comment in a discussion to be oversighted, that the comment be deleted as well? If the user wanted to log in and make the same comment they then could, and accountability would be preserved. CapitalSasha ~ talk 01:45, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
They signed it immediately afterwards, which is how it normally works. The user in question realizes they edited as an IP, resigns, and then contacts an oversighter. TonyBallioni (talk) 01:48, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
Sorry, but I'm still uncomfortable with that.--Jetstreamer Talk 01:56, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
I can't tell you anything else, unfortunately, as I am not a functionary. If you want a review of the oversight in question, you can contact the Arbitration Committee at arbcom-l@lists.wikimedia.org or by using Special:EmailUser/Arbitration_Committee. I'm literally just as in the dark on this as you are, but from what I can see and know about how oversighters work, this seems to have been pretty standard procedure. I know we're on different "sides" of the AfD, but I'm giving you the same information I would be giving (and could give) if I agreed with you. Anyway, hope that is helpful. TonyBallioni (talk) 02:06, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
Hello, your friendly neighbourhood oversighter here. First off, only the username is suppressed. This is generally done when someone edits whilst logged out. Second, you can clearly see from the subsequent diff that they replaced the ```` with ~~~~, which clearly indicates someone who made a mistake. Given that is all that they made in said edit, I honestly can't see how you can think it was "multiple people making one comment." I mean, even if I wanted to game the system, I wouldn't sign someone else's post. Primefac (talk) 03:05, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
P.S. I apologize for the overly large amount of snark in my reply, I'm generally quite a nice person, but it's been a long day and I was about to go to bed when TonyBallioni asked me to weigh in on the situation. Primefac (talk) 03:05, 2 February 2018 (UTC)

Hello, you have been deleting many of my edits for reasons such as no sources or "good faith edits" Just so you know I'm from dammam and I keep close attention to things that happen there. Many of the info about it are outdated or wrong and the majority don't have sources. As you know the language there is Arabic so the news and sources are in Arabic and that's how I get my information. So pages need to be updated by people who actually live and know what's going on in their own city.

Reverting edits and comments

Please take this as a friendly comment - my intentions are good and honourable.

I see from your background that you're seriously clever with an extensive academic background and you presumably have a great interest in disseminating knowledge and Wikipedia in general and ensuring that it's easy to source knowledge in a reliable and consistent way - i.e. be able to use Wikipedia as a reliable encyclopedia and have confident that the information it contains is correct. However sometimes the comments you leave could maybe be perceived by others as maybe a little abrupt or even intimidating - particularly to new users who don't have the Wikipedia experience that you have. It may of course be a cultural thing - people from one country can interpret a comment as very normal while those from another country may take offence.

I imagine that you lead a busy life and so it's perhaps best if some of the simpler edits can be left to other people (think of all the teenagers being encouraged at school to make wiki edits) but if people think they are being told off by other editors they may end up leaving Wikipedia altogether. I'm sure you don't intend to come across that way - your history of edits shows you want Wikipedia to succeed, but would it perhaps be possible to make others feel a little more welcome (e.g. by changing the way to phrase things to *appear* a little less critical), even when they do something that is against wiki policy ? I want to be very clear - I'm not trying to say your intentions are bad - just that the perception of your intentions can sometimes be a little scary to new editors ! Apart from vandals, most people on here have good intentions - we need those people (even if they make mistakes) to keep Wikipedia vibrant. Pmbma (talk) 19:10, 1 April 2018 (UTC)

Hi! You have reverted my edit on Istanbul Atatürk Airport, regarding the opening year of the airport, which is 1912. You stated that the information was "not in agreement with information in the article". After searching through, I could not find that the opening year was listed within the article.

The airport originally opened as a small military airfield in 1912 and was later expanded to an international airport in 1953. I will provide a link (from the official Turkish aviation webpage) to back up this information.

Why did you revert the edit on SkyTeam even though I added sources? --Wind of freedom (talk) 14:12, 14 April 2018 (UTC)

WP:VERIFY claims that ″All quotations, and any material whose verifiability has been challenged or is likely to be challenged, must include an inline citation that directly supports the material.″ The sources you added do not conform with this policy, as they do not say ″HOP! (or Joon) is a SkyTeam member affiliate″ or something. Cheers.--Jetstreamer Talk 22:27, 14 April 2018 (UTC)

IndiGo Fleet

Hey! I see you reverted my edit claiming that it was unsourced, but the sources are already there. The ATR fleet details are on the IndiGo website (already cited in the Fleet section) and the Airbus fleet details are cited as well. While Airbus source says that IndiGo has 124 A320ceos at the beginning of March 2018, IndiGo's website says they have only 123 (given that one of the planes was returned to lessors since the Airbus spreadsheet was published). I hope you'll not revert my edits providing the same reason again. --Anirudh Emani (talk) 09:31, 14 April 2018 (UTC)

The number of Airbus A320ceo aircraft in the fleet is 124 according to the Airbus Orders & Deliveries figures cited in the article, and no other source was added to support a different number. Regarding the ATR fleet, you are right, but the link to the supporting reference was not the appropriate so I corrected it.--Jetstreamer Talk 07:11, 15 April 2018 (UTC)

Hello, from the Portals WikiProject...

You are invited to join the effort to revitalize and improve the Portal system...

The Portals WikiProject was rebooted on April 17th, and is going strong. Fifty-nine editors have joined so far, with more joining daily.

We're having a blast, and excitement is high...

Our goal is to update, upgrade, and maintain portals.

In addition to working directly on portals, we are developing tools to make portals more dynamic (self-updating), and to make building and maintaining portals easier. We've finished two tools so far, with more to come. They are Template:Transclude lead excerpt and Template:Transclude random excerpt.

Discussions are underway about how to further upgrade portals, and what the portals of the future will be.

There are plenty of tasks (including WikiGnome tasks too).

With more to come.

We may even surprise ourselves and exceed all expectations. Who knows what we will be able to accomplish in what may become the biggest Wikicollaboration in years.

See ya at the WikiProject!

Sincerely,    — The Transhumanist   23:51, 1 May 2018 (UTC)

Why have you removed my qantas facts? Wiki is for people to add facts to (not for you to then come on and delete)! Hudson Fysh (my First Cousin) is the co- founder of Qantas. My 8 year old son is in year 2 doing show and tell at school and about to show the qantas wiki page about his great Cousin. The founders of Qantas are very important to have there on the Qantas wiki. How dare you delete them? Why have you done this? You have no right to delete this important historical and important facts and history of who formed the QANTAS company. It is important for people to see who the 3 x founding memers are and show due recognition. Please immediately restore the details of the names of the three founding memers (particular my Cousin) Sir Hudson Fysh...

I need them back up expecially for my sons show and tell at year 2 school.

Facts (3 founding memer names) can also be verified here:

https://www.qantas.com/travel/airlines/history-founders/global/en

Please immediately restore. Sincerely, J. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.179.13.194 (talk) 21:41, 15 May 2018 (UTC)

I don't know (and honestly don't care) who you are. I do not normally restore unsourced information but in this case you provided a url that supports the information you added, so I restored one of your recent edits to the article [7] using the aforementioned link.--Jetstreamer Talk 00:10, 16 May 2018 (UTC)

You should have added or mentioned the reference in one of your edits. The article has been protected to prevent further disruption from your unsourced edits.--Jetstreamer Talk 15:32, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
@Abdalstat: The source was actually there, and all you did was to change the CEO name in the infobox. Apologies.--Jetstreamer Talk 14:02, 23 May 2018 (UTC)

NPR Newsletter No.11 25 May 2018

Hello Jetstreamer, thank you for your work reviewing New Pages!

ACTRIAL:

  • WP:ACREQ has been implemented. The flow at the feed has dropped back to the levels during the trial. However, the backlog is on the rise again so please consider reviewing a few extra articles each day; a backlog approaching 5,000 is still far too high. An effort is also needed to ensure that older unsuitable older pages at the back of the queue do not get automatically indexed for Google.

Deletion tags

  • Do bear in mind that articles in the feed showing the trash can icon may have been tagged by inexperienced or non NPR rights holders. They require your further verification.

Backlog drive:

  • A backlog drive will take place from 10 through 20 June. Check out our talk page at WT:NPR for more details. NOTE: It is extremely important that we focus on quality reviewing. Despite our goal of reducing the backlog as much as possible, please do not rush while reviewing.

Editathons

  • There will be a large increase in the number of editathons in June. Please be gentle with new pages that obviously come from good faith participants, especially articles from developing economies and ones about female subjects. Consider using the 'move to draft' tool rather than bluntly tagging articles that may have potential but which cannot yet reside in mainspace.

Paid editing - new policy

  • Now that ACTRIAL is ACREQ, please be sure to look for tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator if appropriate, and submit the issue to WP:COIN if necessary. There is a new global WMF policy that requires paid editors to connect to their adverts.

Subject-specific notability guidelines

  • The box at the right contains each of the subject-specific notability guidelines, please review any that are relevant BEFORE nominating an article for deletion.
  • Reviewers are requested to familiarise themselves with the new version of the notability guidelines for organisations and companies.

Not English

  • A common issue: Pages not in English or poor, unattributed machine translations should not reside in main space even if they are stubs. Please ensure you are familiar with WP:NPPNE. Check in Google for the language and content, tag as required, then move to draft if they do have potential.

News

  • Development is underway by the WMF on upgrades to the New Pages Feed, in particular ORES features that will help to identify COPYVIOs, and more granular options for selecting articles to review.
  • The next issue of The Signpost has been published. The newspaper is one of the best ways to stay up to date with news and new developments. between our newsletters.

Cubana Airlines Accidents and Incidents Addition

  • Hello and good day. Yesterday I added data to the above page about # incidents and total fatalities with no source. Can you do this for me: Go to Aviation Safety Network website,,click database, then airlines, click Cuba, then Cubana de Avacion. The list of all accidents and incidents are there, can you source that page for me? Also add event of 9 August 1961, a hijacking in which 3 died which is not on the list, only one that's missing.
  • SGU Regional Airport, go to page, references and Airport Master Plan for DXZ, change to SGU so proper form is accessed. Also where it says about the size of the terminal,(reference#4) does not go to their website, so maybe delete that reference?
  • Thank you for your assistance and have a good weekend.2601:581:8500:949C:304C:CD3D:3958:6A95 (talk) 14:51, 25 May 2018 (UTC)
The two-level warning I left at your talk for adding unsourced content refers to this [8] edit: the source says there was a single explosion, not two. I found no issues with the modifications you made to the lead.--Jetstreamer Talk 14:56, 25 May 2018 (UTC)

Hello, again. I don't remember editing that specific incident. I thought you were talking about the addition I made on top of the page about the revised incidents and fatality total. Strange, but I didn't edit what you specified. Can you still do my requests, or I will get someone else to do it. Have a great weekend.2601:581:8500:949C:304C:CD3D:3958:6A95 (talk) 17:06, 25 May 2018 (UTC)

Thank you very much

The RfC discussion to eliminate portals was closed May 12, with the statement "There exists a strong consensus against deleting or even deprecating portals at this time." This was made possible because you and others came to the rescue. Thank you for speaking up.

By the way, the current issue of the Signpost features an article with interviews about the RfC and the Portals WikiProject.

I'd also like to let you know that the Portals WikiProject is working hard to make sure your support of portals was not in vain. Toward that end, we have been working diligently to innovate portals, while building, updating, upgrading, and maintaining them. The project has grown to 80 members so far, and has become a beehive of activity.

Our two main goals at this time are to automate portals (in terms of refreshing, rotating, and selecting content), and to develop a one-page model in order to make obsolete and eliminate most of the 150,000 subpages from the portal namespace by migrating their functions to the portal base pages, using technologies such as selective transclusion. Please feel free to join in on any of the many threads of development at the WikiProject's talk page, or just stop by to see how we are doing. If you have any questions about portals or portal development, that is the best place to ask them.

If you would like to keep abreast of developments on portals, keep in mind that the project's members receive updates on their talk pages. The updates are also posted here, for your convenience.

Again, we can't thank you enough for your support of portals, and we hope to make you proud of your decision. Sincerely,    — The Transhumanist   18:08, 26 May 2018 (UTC)

P.S.: if you reply to this message, please {{ping}} me. Thank you. -TT

Naming conventions of airport

People (even admins) fail to see if the airport has been officially renamed and are just going ahead with closing RMs are succesfull. One such incident is with Vijaywada Airport where two admins believe that it has to be Vijaywada International Airport. Rejecting my correction.

You informed me that Wikipedia has special requirements for writing about living people. I am writing to inform you that David Teniers III has been dead for almost five hundred years. Aeroflot Flight 593

I'll be honest, they really weren't but fist officer Piskarev's name in Russian was there, but captain Danilov and captain Kudrinsky's weren't. I just decided to fill in the gaps. Also, you didn't need to get rid of the passenger table. In fact I don't know if it was even necessary to undo all my changes. Not being mean or anything, just saying. I'll just get rid of Piskarev's name in Russian, but I may have to undo your changes. Also the source of the table was actually from the russian version of the article. Tigerdude9 (talk) 22:01, 2 June 2018 (UTC)

You are a little bit confused: you cannot use Wikipedia to source anything per WP:CIRCULAR. It is more than clear to me that you still do not understand the basic policies of the project, even when they were pointed at several times at your page through warnings.--Jetstreamer Talk 22:48, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
Ok you're right, I can't use Wikipedia itself to source anything. I'll also admit I rushed through reading. I do understand some of the basic policies all info must have a source, and don't plagiarize. Plus, I'm a new user. I have noticed these warnings and I'm trying my best to prevent myself from getting more, but I still mess up sometimes. As for the table, I think references 8, 9, 10, and 11 are can work and be a source. Tigerdude9 (talk) 23:53, 2 June 2018 (UTC)

I apologize for that last discussion where I asked “Why do you hate me?” I overreacted and I wasn’t specific enough. I will not try to react like this again. I’m sorry if I offended you. Tigerdude9 (talk) 16:25, 10 June 2018 (UTC)

Malawian Airlines Destinations

I've been watching with a mixture of amusement and distress the back and forth you've been having with someone over the Malawian Airlines destinations.

The reality unfortunately is that 3W wanted to start Zanzibar flights in April 2017 as indicated in the Routesonline article cited and even opened ticket sales for the route. However, it never actually began and the flights run only up to Dar Es Salaam where the aircraft overnights. I know this because I take this flight regularly (it's the only morning arrival into my home base of Blantyre), and I also had booked for one of the initial Zanzibar flights but the ticket was cancelled before service began and I was offered rebooking on Kenya Airways via Nairobi.

I looked on the Malawian website and found a citation [1] (BRIEF HISTORY section) stating that "Plans are underway to introduce flights to Zanzibar and Lubumbashi" which clearly implies that they do not currently fly to Zanzibar. The Route Map on their Facebook page [2] also doesn't show Zanzibar. Therefore, I am going to make the edit again to the destinations list with these links as a source to remove Zanzibar accordingly. Please let me know via Talk before you make any reverts. It is difficult to prove a negative but these sources combined with the reality are pretty convincing.

Qatar Airways A7-ANB

Wikipedia page for Qatar airways as A7-ANB is delivered. Please stop removing revisions, even considering that I added a reliable source. Please explain to me why Airfleets.net isn't reliable. And if you monitor that page often you would know that the aircraft I'm delivered. If you keep removing the edits, at least go the effort to add to the article by looking for an article that is approved R 2the ichard (talk) 21:25, 8 July 2018 (UTC)

For what you say, R 2the ichard and Xnparkhi are two different accounts belonging to the same person. Read WP:MULTIPLE regarding this, as you risk to a block.--Jetstreamer Talk 02:29, 9 July 2018 (UTC)

That account is absolutely NOT me. That I can assure you of, where did you even get in my paragraph me mentioning of Xnparkhi. I'm tired of people making repeated allegations, and refusing to do the research themselves.

Moving of Agartala Airport

Please move the page Agartala Airport to Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Airport As government has renamed it. You can find it in Google that my information is correct. Moreover in the Wikipedia page Agartala Airport every where it is written as Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Airport except the main heading of article. As admin can only move the above mentioned page. So I am requesting you to please move & rename it. Chandrakant Sarkar (talk) 09:15, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
