AN/I and TPH

I'm not 100% sure if your comment was directed at me or Paul Erik (or possibly both of us), but I do want to point out that I did not bring up TPH's edit-warring, even though I noticed it, because as I said at AN/I, my intention is not to get TPH blocked. I think the more AN/I threads he starts about Hullabaloo while simultaneously edit-warring and making insults elsewhere, the more likely it is that an admin is going to get tired of it and block him, which is why I think it's in his best interest and everybody's just to be a little more diligent with these AfD nominations and stay off HW's talk page. That's not an unreasonable suggestion, is it? 28bytes (talk) 05:57, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

In itself it's not, but why is no one suggesting doing something about HW? TPH doesn't go out of his way to insult people, HW makes it an artform. There's a double-standard there, the level of good editors getting frustrated and leaving has increased while the scab-pickers are coddled. If you honestly are trying to watch out for TPH, thanks, but... making it TPH's issue doesn't address the underlying problem, it just says "look in the mirror". Sometimes that's the case, sometimes it's not. I try to avoid editors I dislike, but sometimes they get in my face and won't stop. My sister played the same game when we were kids, I was patient to excess, until she crossed the line and I threw a punch. Of course I became the bad guy and was punished, which is what she wanted all along. It's the same thing. (my sister and I are fine now, 30 years on, thanks) Somebody needs to step in and be dad and send them both to corners, something like a contact ban.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 06:16, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm familiar with that childhood game, and yeah, I do see iterations of that around here from time to time. :) Like I said, I think the best way for TPH to avoid HW is to avoid putting up really dodgy XfDs that HW can pounce on, but I've said as much there, so I suppose he'll take that advice or leave it. Anyway, I'll bow out of the AN/I discussion and leave it to the admins to decide what to do. Best, 28bytes (talk) 06:27, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Best to you as well. I've been here 5+ years, I wonder if it's time for me to just burn out. I've seen a lot of good people go, and I feel like this is still my baby, but I am so tired of the daily crap. Jimbo has to be feeling the same.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 06:33, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Nah, no need to burn out... there are plenty of relatively untouched areas of the 'pedia where one can edit in peace. I'm relatively new as an active editor, although I popped in a couple of times in '06 and '07, so my hat's off to anyone who's been able to keep at it for 5+ years straight. 28bytes (talk) 06:57, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi Kintetsubuffalo. Could you add a note to the 3O section on the talk page of this article? I have some questions regarding Quigley's note but would rather wait until you've had the chance to state your position. Thanks. --rgpk (comment) 14:19, 18 January 2011 (UTC)

...is absolutely false. I never once tried to reupload it. In fact I personally listed every single instance of other people reuploading it for deletion, and was even opposed for doing so some of the time. I made sure no wiki was using it except de., which has its own rules. ¦ Reisio (talk) 22:30, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

Just FYI

Vandalism only account applies only to named accounts, not IP's. We can indefinitely block named accounts, but rarely an IP. Dreadstar 05:29, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, but if that's all they're here for, they should get more than a hand-wringing "oh, they don't have enough warnings yet". They're vandals just the same, they steal moments of my life and yours that we don't need to be cleaning up after them, yet we have to. They should feel that somehow, even just a day block. Otherwise it's just a waste of time to continually warn them.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 05:43, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
I agree; and it depends on the 'quality' of the vandalism, in severe cases a jump in warning level or even a block on no-warnings is warranted. Depends on the situation and the reviewing admin. Dreadstar 17:03, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Your edit summary here explains that you are uncomfortable with an edit. May I suggest that you follow through with the impulse to pursue the underlying questions. This kind of "dispute" (for lack of a better word) is precisely the sort of thing which ensures the quality and clarity of our collaborative work. IMO, you can feel free to press Urashimataro vigorously.
IMO, the two opening sentences are roughly equivalent, but with nuanced differences.
In this diff comparison, it appears that your concern is limited to one sentence -- in fact, it seems that you find only four words problematic. WP:Burden offers policy-based support for further inquiry. In other words, IMO, it is reasonable and proper to insist respectfully that Urashimataro explain and defend the difference between the two sentences. An implicit aspect of that burden of persuasion is to demonstrate that the four words are not WP:Synthesis. This requires good judgement and fine parsing skills. Compare
IMO, even though there is disagreement about four words, I construe this as a context in which both Kintetsubuffalo and Urashimataro and I are all "on the same page". Do you take my point? --Tenmei (talk) 14:10, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Thank you Tenmei. Being Shinto myself, I am uncomfortable with this seeming rewrite of Japanese culture as it has been understood for so long. I take umbrage at Urashimataro's claim that I know nothing of the subject, and so no, we're not on the same page after all.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 14:37, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Please consider the analysis and opinions I have posted here --Tenmei (talk) 17:47, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

Please permit me the liberty of creating hyperlinks for the presumptively noteworthy scholars of Shinto in Urashimataro's diff at the top of this thread. --Tenmei (talk) 21:05, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

Apologies

Kintetsubuffalo, my apologies for having been rude. I took the liberty to modify my post into what it should have been to begin with. Please understand however that those word were written in anger. None of your three posts were particularly friendly. Needless to say, I never meant to attack anybody belief system. I was trying to improve Wikipedia's reliability.

We both work on Shinto, and we have to get along. I believe I have always done good and reliable work. Every sentence I write comes from something I have read, and I am careful about the material I use. About Yasuhito Endō nickname

Hi Kintetsubuffalo!
I notice you've reverted an edit I made, which is of course just fine. The original addition of "Mr Cool" as nickname was hereabouts. Is it common knowledge, but just waiting for a reliable reference? I've had a little look around and can't find anything that conclusively puts 「遠藤保仁」 together with 「ミスター.クール」.

How fascinating I am

Re [1], thanks, heh, it seems I think so too. But my user page now seems a little narcissistic to me. Not to mention that, with all the enemies I'm making with my AfD work, I should probably remove real-world identifying information. Maybe I'll just leave the two quotes at the top. They are basically about my take on Wikipedia: it really is a hierarchical top-down organization, not some anarchic Wild West -- but with not so much at the top, and with (mostly) rational discussion about what properly constitutes an order, sir. The history of Auftragstaktik suggests that excellence in strict hierarchies is possible. Alas, it also suggests that their weakness is in how they are so often shackled at the top to powers that can become arbitrary, self-deceptive and demagogic. Wikipedia looks like an almost-mathematical existence proof that such shackles aren't necessary. Occasionally I sit back and marvel: how cool is that? Other times, though, I want to check the proof again: maybe a crucial step is wrong? Yakushima (talk) 12:26, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

Images

Hi, I tried to fix the fair use stuff for File:Chief Scout's Award (The Scout Association) (pre 2003).png on Scouts (The Scout Association). There is a similar need to do it for File:Chief Scout's Silver Award (The Scout Association).png on Cub Scouts (The Scout Association). The problem has been flagged on their talk pages. Could you please take a look. We need to to the merge pf the Progressive Award Scheme, but I am tied up. That will then need all these imgaes looking at again. Cheers, --Bduke (Discussion) 08:07, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

Got it-the bot isn't recognizing that these names were corrected about a year ago. At some point we have to go through all Scout images and correct the names in the articles, but Ed and Jergen and I are fixing them as the bots catch them. This has been happening a lot the last month-it's a bot error.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 11:51, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
I think the problem is different. First, the talk pages say that there is no justification for fair use. For File:Chief Scout's Award (The Scout Association) (pre 2003).png, I added a section for Scouts (The Scout Association), but there is now some big red error stuff. Second, I noticed that the earlier justification says the image is used in the infobox, but it is not. I tried to alter it. I then stopped, but justification for File:Chief Scout's Silver Award (The Scout Association).png on Cub Scouts (The Scout Association) is still needed and the current justification says it is in the infobox of Cub Scouts (The Scout Association), which is not correct. I seem to forget more about images than I remember! --Bduke (Discussion) 21:21, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

Regarding [2]

I thought editors were permitted to remove blatant and obvious WP:SOAPBOXing from article talkpages... unless I am mistaken? Comments that are WP:FORUM material and are not contributing to the project are usually removed, if I recall. -- 李博杰  | Talk contribs email 13:54, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

They are, if the edit in question is disruptive and trolling. HXL49, however, makes a point to troll, editorialize and POV back both in talkpages and with his summaries. Hence the revert-it wasn't an AGF removal, it was snarking for the point of snarking.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 13:59, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

Rollback in a content dispute

Regarding your AN3 report please understand that using rollback for edits that are not vandalism (or one of the other allowed purposes) is not acceptable. I'm not going to take it away from you, because, honestly, you do a lot of good work with it, but another admin might choose to do so. If you would discuss the changes in question rather than to revert them using the vandalism revert tool and template the user with warnings, there is at least a chance that a mutually agreeable decision could be reached. If not, Wikipedia has plenty of dispute resolution processes available and it's not like Libya-related topics are wanting for editors right now. You could start a discussion on the template talk page about the appropriate topics for inclusion and post a neutral notification of it at Talk:Libya and probably get multiple eyeballs on it. But whatever you decide to do, revert warring using rollback isn't a very good option. --B (talk) 13:59, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

Baseball

Given your name, should I assume that you're a follower of baseball in Japan? If so, do you know very much about the history of baseball there? What articles would you recommend I study? I'm asking all these questions because I'm trying to develop a list of professional teams' ballparks in Japan, and in order to do so, I need to understand the history better. And also to know if such an article already exists, so I won't be re-inventing the wheel. Thank you! ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 15:01, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for pointing me to that article on Japanese baseball! It took me to Japanese Baseball League, which appears to have a complete rundown of the teams that were in that league during its existence from 1936 through 1949 (minus 1945). After that, the Central League and Pacific League replaced that single league. I had seen some of this info a day or two ago, and was having a bit of trouble getting my head around it. I started with List of baseball parks in Tokyo, but was not happy with the way that was going. I think what I really need to do (unless someone else has already done it) is to make a list of all the teams and their timelines (as shown in Japanese Baseball League) and sub-head each one with a list of their ballparks. Then I can combine the two to produce a list of ballparks and the teams that played under them. I would then rename List of baseball parks in Tokyo to List of baseball parks in Japan or something like that. Talking strictly professional so as not to get too broad a scope. I also like to include ballparks' locations, and I have no clue how street locations are specified in Japan, but that's not a show-stopper at this point. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 15:40, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
I have completed a rough draft of the article I talked about, which is currently at User:Baseball Bugs/sandbachs. I wonder if you would mind looking it over and see if I made any mistakes or omissions. The style may not be to your liking, but it's my way of organizing the data. :) At the very least, some of this could be added to the team infoboxes, which are inconsistent. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 18:14, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

OK

I went ahead and created the article List of baseball parks in Japan. When you get a chance, could you look through it and see if I made any gross mistakes? Thank you! ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 23:09, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

Kintetsubuffalo, I'd strongly advise you to stop attacking other editors like that - or you'll probably find yourself blocked from editing due to uncivil behaviour. You're going way over the top here, back down a little. [stwalkerster|talk] 20:49, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

Stwalkerster-I've never dealt with you before but I've seen your postings and you seem to be even-handed. This is written in outrage but none of this is directed to you personally. I am not about to back down.
Here are the facts-images of world leaders in times of war are sparse on the ground. I had asked Graphics Lab to create a version (for reference, File:Saif al-Islam Gaddafi.jpg and the now-conveniently-deleted File:Saif al-Islam television.jpg) without the television banner. Within moments, FPaS had removed both versions from their respective articles and tagged them for deletion, and then fraudulently tagged them as not being used in articles, which they were before FPaS removed them. Dirty tricks like that to promote a desired outcome, without discussion or proper procedure, (just as FPaS went through my recent edit history to find the evidence that would produce a desired result, obvious conflict of interest be damned-it's quicker to punish me than to discuss difference in interpretation) make FPaS unworthy of trust. Gaming the system is lying. People who lie are liars. FPaS is a liar. (FPaS-go ahead, embrace it. Everyone does this from time to time to get the result they want expediently.) Sure, FPaS could have put the images up for deletion and gone through the proper procedure, allowing the community at large to debate the points, but why bother with the niceties, FPaS is a busy deletionist and has stuff to do. FPaS doesn't even notify uploaders that their images are up for deletion, as Wikipedia policy dictates and others follow, to allow comment. The Wikipedia community has put up with FPaS' heavy-handed bull for years, I have had the unpleasantness of dealing with FPaS in the past, and it doesn't grow any less tiresome. I've seen better admins and editors come and go, and be chased away from Wikipedia, yet FPaS is still here despite the tedious holier-than-thou treatment of others. Sure, I come up at ANI and Wikiquette from time to time, as do many long-timers. But FPaS is an admin. Others believe admins are held to a higher standard. I know better. Your outputtings do not smell like fresh-baked cinnamon rolls, just because you are an admin-it's just like life, some are good people, and some are slimy. FPaS is a middle-management tyrant the likes of which kill businesses and will kill Wikipedia.
FPaS-I have no respect for you, and I have no fear of you. "Take it back"-are you 12? What are you gonna do? You and your admin buddies gonna catch me after school? Add to your conflict of interest as you did with rollback? *gasp* Go ahead. A block of me would show your abuse of power, I would count it a badge of honor, and I can use the break. Otherwise, go pester someone else. You'll not get what you seek from me.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 11:58, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
Actually, as the image is a screenshot of from a TV broadcast, it's copyrighted and falls under the non-free content rules. WP:NFC#UULP 1) states that using non-free images of people still alive is one of the unacceptable uses. So, when FPaS removed the image, he was correct to do so, and within policy.
Also under the criteria for speedy deletion, unused non-free files are to be deleted, hence FPaS was correct in tagging it for deletion. I'm not seeing the so-called "gaming the system", nor any "dirty tricks". I don't care if you don't have any respect for someone else, but at least have the courtesy to be civil.
I also see you're refusing to back down on the personal attacks. Consider this your final warning in that matter. [stwalkerster|talk] 12:41, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
Fantastic. I clearly stated as much, and I expected the standard admin line. That which you are not seeing is that which you clearly do not want to see. Run with it.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 12:45, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

Is it the position of Wikipedia that non-free articles of live people are not to be used at all? If so, then the primary difference is between a) removing it from articles where they have occured and then speedily deleting it and using non-use as the speedy reason, or b) attempting to delete it (for the fact that it is non-free, can that be done speedy?) and then clearing the articles afterward. The first may be the only way to quickly remove from all of wikipedia these pictures. Personally, using a picture broadcast on Television with deliberate removal of the Television station information seems like copyright infringement.Naraht (talk) 16:04, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

Not sure if I'm reading you wrong or you got mixed up, but it's OK to have articles on live people, it's ok to have pictures of live people, but not non-free pictures of live people - simply because the image is replaceable with a free alternative. The best course of action IMHO is to remove then delete if the image is still unused - cos an image which is unacceptable for use in one article might still be acceptable in others. Yes, unused non-free images are speedily deletable, see the link I provided above. And yes, removing the banner is copyright violation IMHO, but I dunno what the procedure around that specific bit is. Hope that clarifies things :) [stwalkerster|talk] 16:12, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
So if the picture had also included someone who was dead, the picture could have been used on the dead person's page, but not the live person's page. So the process goes Step 1, delete the image from every live person in the photo. Step 2, is there place left it is used. If not, put in speedy delete.Naraht (talk) 18:43, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

About the Unit-731 edit you made

I seems that you made an edit to the Unit-731 article claiming that only 4,000 people were experimented on. However from what i've heard the number of experiments made was around 40,000. Please look into these links for more information. http://www.ww2pacific.com/unit731.html http://www.toddlertime.com/bobbystringer/unit-731.htm http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/japan/7236099/Human-bones-could-reveal-truth-of-Japans-Unit-731-experiments.html

I will be changing the number back to 40,000, but if you would lke to discuss this futher than please do — Preceding unsigned comment added by Graylandertagger (talkcontribs) 15:27, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

Invitation to the Bacon Challenge 2012

Hello! You have been invited to take part in the Bacon Challenge 2012. In case you don't know or need a refresher, the Bacon Challenge is an annual celebration of bacon on Wikipedia in which editors come together to help create, expand, and improve Wikipedia's coverage of bacon. The event lasts all the way through National Pig Day 2012, giving participants plenty of time to work at their pleasure. In addition to the Bacon Challenge is the Bacon WikiCup 2012, a side event to the Challenge in which all bacon-related contributions done by those participating in the Challenge are submitted and scored by the scorekeeper (me) based on the scoring chart. At the end of the Challenge, the user with the most points in the Bacon WikiCup will win a shiny trophy for their userpage. In addition, the users who score the highest in specific categories (not yet finalized, but the categories include most image uploads, most article creations, most DYK submissions, and more) will win barnstars. Finally, all participants will receive a medal. While the awards are nice, in the end, the important thing is to have fun and enjoy what we're all here for, which is improving Wikipedia.

If you decide to participate, great! You may add your name to the participants list at the main page of the Bacon Challenge 2012, and pick up the userbox for your userpage if you desire. Signing up for the Challenge will also automatically enter you into the Bacon WikiCup. If you don't wish to participate, that's fine too - maybe next year! In the meantime, if you know anyone who might also be interested in participating, feel free to invite them! The Challenge is open to anyone and accepts participants at any time, so feel free to let anyone who might be interested know.

Note that I, the scorekeeper of the Bacon WikiCup, will be on vacation starting on the 18th of June all the way up until the 5th of July. I will have limited access to the internet, so I may or may not be able to score users' contributions during this time. Sorry for any delay in scoring (but since the Challenge lasts for more than half a year, there's no rush, right? (= ).

I'm looking forward to another fun, successful year. Thanks! ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 00:47, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

Proposed Tibetan naming conventions

A while back, I posted a new proposal for Tibetan naming conventions, i.e. conventions that can be used to determine the most appropriate titles for articles related to the Tibetan region. This came out of discussions about article titles on Talk:Qamdo and Talk:Lhoka (Shannan) Prefecture. I hope that discussions on the proposal's talk page will lead to consensus in favour of making these conventions official, but so far only a few editors have left comments. If you would be interested in taking a look at the proposed naming conventions and giving your opinion, I would definitely appreciate it. Thanks—Nat Krause(Talk!·What have I done?) 15:46, 2 July 2011 (UTC)

I saw this comment of yours: "VolunteerMarek-don't know what you're trying to pull, but Wikipedia is not censored and you are messing with the balance of this article. Often I find statements like this just before "Wikibreak"s happen...Naraht (talk) 17:59, 6 July 2011 (UTC)

Re this edit summary. This is a common response, so common in fact that I added it to WP:10CR in the section "Just fix it yourself instead of causing so much disruption". WP:10CR was referenced in the edit summary I left, which I presume you read since you did add a rationale to the image description page. I'm happy to see you did this. You're a person who cares about the article the image was used on, I assume, since you saw the image was removed. You're far better equipped to add an appropriate rationale for the image's use on that article. However, when you added the rationale to the image, you did not follow the instruction on {{logo fur}} where it says via an inline comment, "<!--Must be specified if Use is not Infobox / Org / Brand / Product-->". The rationale should be corrected to indicate the intended use and purpose of the image's existence on that article. All the best, --Hammersoft (talk) 17:18, 6 July 2011 (UTC)

Kvemo Kartli Skauturi Modzraobis Organizatsia.png

Hello! I removed the image from the article (links above) because it did not have a fair-use rationale for that usage and I did not believe one could be created that would justify the usage with regard to the non-free content criteria. I noticed you restored the image but did not provide a rationale; if this was not an error and you believe that a rationale could be justified, please could you provide one. A fair-use rationale for each usage is mandatory. CIreland (talk) 14:58, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Eclaireuses et Eclaireurs de France 1930s.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:16, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Eric Khoo Heng-Pheng.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Eric Khoo Heng-Pheng.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. –Drilnoth (T/C) 13:32, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

Theme of 24th Worldjamboree is now known

I was been in 22nd worldjamboree in Sweden. I have talked with organisators of future worldjamboree. they have made known: Unlock new world. It will be a theme on 24th Worldjamboree in America. http://www.flickr.com/photos/27662315@N02/5916614694/ Edwtie (talk) 16:42, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Might as well chime in here, since it affects more than one page. Edwtie: While I believe you that the Theme to the 2019 is "Unlock a new world", I don't believe that what *currently* exists in references *which are acceptable to Wikipedia* (WP:REF) includes that information. I've spent the last 30 minutes looking for an image similar to the one on Flicker or the color version at http://api.ning.com/files/VMJ6kCbdZTFkL9VeQSpSs-q0Sy5Sf*UpJechIvSeKREqRLQw1WtmHU8uagRMcFj-pqH-fZeaEVOhlxV8tjG36I9PsoyYpqCw/2019WorldJamboree.jpg on any official page. I've also been googling for "2019" "Jamboree" and "unlock" and haven't found anything other than the *header* of a PR release which doesn't describe it as a theme. http://www.onlineprnews.com/news/97413-1294951239-north-american-scout-associations-to-host-24th-world-scout-jamboree.html for which the main text is also found at http://www.scouting.org/jamboree/sitecore/content/scouting/media/pressreleases/2011/20110113.aspx . I've worked my way through all three National Scouting websites as well as the one for the Bechtel Scouting Reservation where it is being held. I am going to revert it, but I will also keep checking to see if I can find a reference which will enable me to add it.

Moving articles in the middle of a merge discussion

Please do not move articles in the middle of a merge discussion. It is much better to talk about the move on the merge discussion so it can be moved once the merge is determined, or not. Otherwise confusion can arise. In this case, the article was deleted, as was the redirect you left. However, the earlier redirect was not and would have remained if I had not known the history of it. In this case too, you new name, Scouts Australia award scheme was incorrect as it implies that it is about all award schemes of the organisation, Scouts Australia. After looking over the portfolio of your past handiwork, I cannot help but to surmise that you have an aversion for the word »unfortunately« as you have recently demonstrated here; while I am not of the perspective that there is any malice at play, I do wish to point out that this aversion of yours changes up the whole idea of the affected episode synopses into something that is rather clumsy.
