If the Chaplin template includes films in which he starred but did not direct, I will only restore if you are willing to edit out the acted-in-only films. This also goes for the Buster Keaton template. The intent of the TfD appears to be that the templates should not serve as a "starred-in" filmography; otherwise we would be inundated with actor-only filmographies! Hi. I created Fire! as a redirect to Fire!!, the literary journal. Since you just created Fire! (film), maybe you should move your article to Fire! and we should have hatnotes at both articles alerting readers to the other (such as the one you placed at Fire!!).

My AWB tagging/assessing
In edits such as the one you pointed out, I was also moving the class and priority tags below the tag saying whether the subject was living or not. Although there isn't a lot of difference between having the tags below the living tag, it is the standard way of setting up the talk page. Having all the talk pages in the same format makes it easier to edit because the editor knows where each of the tags are going to be. In addition, only a small portion of those edits only fixed capitalization or moved a few tags around. Many of my edits, such as this one added the priority to the article. A good deal of my edits such as here and here added the biography wikiproject template to the talk page where it had not been before. While I suppose you are quite correct in that the edit you pointed out didn't do a good deal, it did help and edits like those only made up a small portion of the edits I made. Italian films part 2
Excellent work amigo. I've been doing some work on 1965 Italian films the other day. If there are more editors working on them I sort of feel more positive about tackling it!! Off hand I know Luigi Zampa's and Mario Soldati's films need adding, probably there is a full list on italian wiki. What I'd really appreciate is if you could work with me blueing the red links on the lists I draw up on pages like Italian films of 1965. There will be thousands of notable films and actors missing and the lists are also a good way of identifying what is missing. Also visiting any film article there are bound to be tons of actor/ cinema bios missing. A possible solution for American films by decade templates
Dear Lugnuts...I see that you want to keep the American films by decade templates. I came up with a compromise solution, a template that merged all of them into one. List of hip hop labels

- I don't have much truck with tables, was thinking more of something like this [1] though yes, dates would be good too. Btw, rv without comment after i asserted notability for a label on the basis that redlink=nn is rude. - I reverted the edit, as it failed the basic inclusion criteria of the list - IE, it must have an article before being added. Plus, the redlink had been there for sometime before I reverted it. - That is not the basic inclusion criteria of the list, the redlink had been there for one day, and i'm specifically pointing out what is wrong with your application of a blanket self-made rule, sound though it may be most of the time.

- I think the text at the top of the page "Note: Wikipedia is not a repository for links. Do not add URLs here. Do not add any company with no Wikipedia page" is pretty clear. And your comment "you would do well to listen" doesn't apply when dealing with IP addresses. Maybe you would do well to register an account, or make a valid contribution. Lists of actors... film ,televsion, stage, internet... ad infinitum...
While one can be amazed at the time and dedication it took to compile such huge but partial lists... as I have found List of female film actors, (with sublists List of American actresses, List of Chinese actresses , List of Japanese actresses , List of Indian actresses , List of Philippine actresses , List of Iranian actresses , List of Italian actresses , List of Thai actresses ), as well as 4 others now at AfD... List of male film actors (A-K), and List of male film actors (L-Z), List of male television actors, and List of female television actors... I have to wonder, "what's the point". Perhaps they could all be included in one comprehensive AfD where the pros and cons of such lists can be discussed in toto. By including them all together it may be easier to show the problems inherent in maintenance. I agree that such lists are simply lists for the sake of having lists... and unless one sets careful parameters for who to include and how and why, the lists could end up having hundreds of sub-lists and include literally millions of names. Maintaining such would be impossible. Currently there are 4 seperate AfD's for essentially the same thing... I'd put them all together myself but do not know how. Yes, unfortunately, IMDB mistakenly list Deane as born in Austria rather than Australia. I'm currently working on an article on Deane in my Sandbox, which hopefully will go live asap. - Hello. I see that you are cranking out a bunch of stubs of Alice O'Fredericks' films (and, Wow, you move fast!). Could you perhaps work on snuffing out the redlinks that are shown on her article page? She did a whole bunch of films, but not all of them are notable (not even in Denmark). I left those redlinks on her article page to show the ones that will pass notability -- mostly the Far til Fire and Morten Korch films. I;m sure not why a large number of those films have been de linked from her article. WHat is the criteria for blanking them out. What constitutes notability? If the film is well liked or not? FOr instance Familien, the 1940 film seems to have some notability. Directed by Lau Lauritzen and Alice O'Fredericks, both notable directors, screenwriteen by Fleming Lynge who was a noted screenwriter and the film stars both Osvald Helmuth and Ib Schønberg who was noted actors?? These would be standard films we'd create by any other director, American or Italian. Crikey even some of the films by George Lucas, his shorts are really not that notable but we have them! Frightening the number of red links isn't is! It might be a good idea to create a template for Lau Lauritzen later. I just noticed too that the films starring Dirch Passer, one of Denmarks legendary actors are virtually all unstarted! Well I just removed about 20 odd films which had no year as they didn't seem notable. Some of the films show up on imdb and were definately notable starring Johannes Mayer etc but many of them don't. The danish film database more than likely lists them and has information on the cast and basics etc. I have a feeling though that list may need filtering down The Bald One White cat 10:30, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
For instance google Den kulørte Slavehandler the first film on the list. See here for example. Most if not all of the films are recorded on the danish film sites and have info on the cast and crew and many of them appear to be by Nordisk Film which as you may know is definately a notable mainstream studio in Scandinavia. For danish actor filmographies imdb is way inaccurate. According to it some actors only appeared in like 20 films. On the Danish film websites some of them appeared in over 100 films. Could you use danskefilm.dk or the danish film instituute as a source for number of films the actor appeared in rather than imdb. Cheers and keep up the good work!
