Hi! I see you’ve pointed out two issues with the article:

  • This article needs additional citations for verification: For the plot, the source is quite obviously the work itself—do we have to specify that for each work? Then there’s the background, where I believe I have taken care not to include any unsourced material. Could you point out in more detail (preferably on the talk page for the article) where citations are needed?
  • The topic of this article may not meet Wikipedia's notability guideline for books: One of the criteria is that the book is, or has been, the subject of instruction at one or more schools. The work in question appears to be, or have been, standard literature in some German schools since at least the late 1980s, as I found out through multiple online comments. (Incidentally, I picked my copy from a trash can at school.) I have so far not found (or looked for) information on other countries. If additional evidence or research is needed to back this point, please let me know.

PS: please post your comments on the article’s talk page so we can keep the discussion where others can easily find it. --Michael-stanton (talk) 19:37, 25 December 2020 (UTC)

Hello Mccapra. Could you check my article. I cited more sources and biography , There are french wikipedia since 2015 and arabic wikipedia articles. He is a professional actor in Tunisia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Mohamed_Mrad

ChrisMat2020 (talk) 01:30, 29 December 2020 (UTC)

Hi I can see you’ve worked in the article and improved it. However I’m still not sure he meets our notability requirements. The sourcing is mostly interviews and passing mentions in other pieces. I’ve looked for other sources but not found any. He’s obviously well-known but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s notable in Wikipedia terms. We don’t follow fr.wiki or ar.wiki in article creation because en.wiki is much stricter in terms of notability requirements. Honestly I think your time would be more enjoyably spent by picking a new topic that is clearly notable and starting a new article on that topic. Popular culture is a good area to avoid if you want to get articles accepted quickly. Topics with a good number of sources in Google books will pass quickly. Your suggestion for Anoshirvan Taghavi

Hi dear friend. I noticed that you tagged Anoosh Taghavi's page for improving. First of all, I don't agree with your claim that "all" of references are trivial and none of them don't address artist. If you look closely, the sources on the pages of many musicians are about their work, not the artist himself. For example, on Mahsa Shahbazian page, you can see that sources point to an album in which the artist was just one of the musicians. Therefore, according to your criteria, many articles of musicians should be deleted. Regarding Anoosh Taghavi, many famous artists have collaborated with him and many credible news sources have covered his works. I think this is enough for this artist to be notable.  MrInfo2012  Talk  21:35, 19 December 2020 (UTC)

@MrInfo2012: Hi you may be right that there are articles about other musicians that should be deleted. We require in-depth coverage in sources for a biography article and that is lacking for this person at the moment. Can you find any sources that discuss him and his work in depth rather then just mentioning him? Mccapra (talk) 21:51, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
There are some sources that you can check it. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.  MrInfo2012  Talk  05:41, 20 December 2020 (UTC)
@MrInfo2012: hi apologies for not replying sooner I completely forgot about this. Please take a look at WP:BIO for the requirements on sourcing biographies. Of your six links only the one about him being in hospital looks useful. The rest are interviews which don’t count for notability, and some music sites which don’t help either. The sixth link won’t load at all for me I’m afraid. All the best Mccapra (talk) 23:16, 29 December 2020 (UTC)

@Anthony Appleyard: Hi apologies if I’ve got this confused. The main space article is a cut and paste from an unsourced draft. What I wanted to do was have the edit history merged from the draft so the draft can be deleted and I can move the mainspace article back to draft. Is this the right process?
@Anthony Appleyard: I see I filled in the template wrong. I’ve updated it now so hopefully it makes more sense. Mccapra (talk) 18:44, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
@Anthony Appleyard: ok thanks and sorry to waste your time. I find the business of dealing with cut and paste articles that need to go back to draft pretty bewildering. Mccapra (talk) 10:43, 31 December 2020 (UTC)

Please I just realized you got my article deleted due to promotional content and I wanted to ask you if you would love to review a rewrite I will be doing in my sandbox before publishing the new article I will write.

Hope to read from you soon. Joris Darlington Quarshie (talk) 10:35, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

@Joris Darlington Quarshie: hi I have a couple of suggestions for you. First, it is better to create new articles in your sandbox rather than in the encyclopedia mainspace. That way if there is anything wrong with them it can be corrected before they are published. Articles that don't comply with Wikipedia policies will be deleted pretty fast from mainspace, whereas in your sandbox they can be edited until they are ready. Secondly, I suggest that for your next article you choose a subject that is not a business/brand or a biography of a living person. These are the two areas where Wikipedia is most plagued by promotional editing, and where articles will most rapidly get deleted if they are not up to standard. If you choose a different subject (long-dead person, non-commercial entity) that is notable, it will be easier to write about it in ways that Wikipedia regards as encyclopedic. If you want me to read something you've drafted please leave me a message on this page and I'll take a look. All the best Mccapra (talk) 10:53, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

Help

Hi ,, I need some help for this articles Abdul Aziz al-Uqaili, Mirza Yahya Khan Moshir od-Dowleh and Ezzat ed-Dowleh,, I wait your help ,Thank you,,Hamaredha (talk) 20:40, 7 January 2021 (UTC)

@Hamaredha: hi the first two have already been reviewed. Ezzat Ed-Dowleh does not look notable to me at the moment as it seems to consist only of genealogical information. Is there anything else you could add about her life, activities, or anything? Mccapra (talk) 20:34, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
Ezzat ed-Dowleh was very important princess in the Qajar era, Iran, she was marrige 4 times with Qajar Politician ,, Many thanks,,Hamaredha (talk) 20:58, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
Being married multiple times doesn’t make her notable for Wikipedia. You may need to expand the article to explain the significance of these marriages if they are what her claim to notability is based on. Mccapra (talk) 21:02, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
She was sister of Iran's Governor (King of Iran) and she was married 4 times to very important person in Iran . her life was a different story ..Hamaredha (talk) 21:08, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
Ok but there’s no point in telling me this. You need to put it in the article and source it. Mccapra (talk) 21:10, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
I did that and you can see sources in the article ,,Hamaredha (talk) 21:15, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
Yes well at the moment it uses lots of words to say “there was a woman who married four guys”. That’s not notable. More detail about why these marriages mattered - perhaps what people said about them at the time - will make clear what their significance was. Mccapra (talk) 21:56, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
The first husband was Iranian Prime Minister , the second he was son OF Iranian Prime Minister and Iran's Minister of Defence , third was Governor of states in Iran and general , Fourth husband was foreign minister in Iran ,, Many thanks ,,Hamaredha (talk) 22:09, 7 January 2021 (UTC)

Could you please review my article

Hey Mccapra.

I noticed you were a New Page Reviewer - I am a beginner to Wikipedia and have just finished writing my first article, now the draft is pending for review. It'd be great if you could check it over! I am apprehensive that it will contain mistakes and I will need to wait another few weeks/months before getting another review.

Many thanks, Apaul291003 (talk) 11:04, 6 January 2021 (UTC)

Just wondering what you thought - the Torus Fracture is the most common fracture in children. Would my article be good enough to get published?
Apaul291003 (talk)
@Apaul291003: hi it looks good to me but I don’t usually review medical articles. The sources you’ve used must comply with WP:MEDRS and if they do, it’s ready to publish. I’m not going to move it to mainspace myself as it is outside the fields I normally review. If you want to have it reviewed faster you might ask an editor who is a member of WikiProject medicine or WikiProject Anatomy. The project pages list all their members. Good luck. Regarding notability issue of Zhongxian Ganbu

Hi, Mccapra! I have made a rationale regarding the notability of the article in Talk:Zhongxian Ganbu. It might be a problem that the thesis actually doesn't have a standardised English name when it is cited in English-language sources, but it is widely mentioned and discussed, and to be honest, an interesting book to read, since it describes an elephant in the room in detail from my perspective. There are a lot of discussions regarding the thesis on Zhihu, a popular Chinese Q&A community like Quora, with mostly positive comments. Hope this solves the issue you raise. --HNlander (talk) 14:09, 10 January 2021 (UTC)

Hi @HNlander:thanks for your note. I see you have provided a detailed explanation on the article talk page. It would be helpful if you could move this explanation into the “Reception” section of the article. Academic theses are very rarely notable and the reference section in the article as it stands is difficult to make sense of for someone who doesn’t read Chinese. A couple of paragraphs outlining detailed and extensive discussion of the work in academic and news media will indeed establish notability. Mccapra (talk) 14:26, 10 January 2021 (UTC)
Hi @Mccapra: many thanks for your advice. I have rewritten the part. Hope the current version solves your concern over notability. HNlander (talk) 18:10, 10 January 2021 (UTC)

Notability of Masaharu Take

Hello Mccapra, you have questioned the notability of Masaharu Take. However, the notability seems obvious to me, according to WP:DIRECTOR, no. 3: "The person has created ... a well-known work ... [that has] been the primary subject ... of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews" - this is true for at least one of Take's works, The Naked Director; cf. the references in The Naked Director. If you agree, please remove the notability tag. --Martin de la Iglesia (talk) 17:16, 17 January 2021 (UTC)

@Martin de la Iglesia: hi thanks for your message. The notability of the subject isn’t demonstrated by the current sources in the article. The first ref doesn’t mention him at all, and the second and third are interviews with him, which don’t help show notability. The fourth source is a good, independent third party review of his work, and we want more of this kind of source. If you can find others I’ll certainly remove the notability tag. All the best Mccapra (talk) 17:31, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
I added a second reference for The Gun, which hopefully suffices to demonstrate notability. --Martin de la Iglesia (talk) 13:50, 23 January 2021 (UTC)
That’s great. I’ve removed the tag. Mccapra (talk) 13:53, 23 January 2021 (UTC)

Hey Mccapra I had few doubts in Writing Wiki Page. I request you to kindly Guide me — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shreyaunchalli (talkcontribs) 07:21, 18 January 2021 (UTC)

@Shreyaunchalli: what are you trying to write about? Can you link to a draft? Mccapra (talk) 13:54, 23 January 2021 (UTC)

Hi, this article have 8 sources (English + Persian) . You can dependent it , why you add unreliable sources,, I wait your answer ,,Hamaredha (talk) 13:44, 24 January 2021 (UTC)

@Hamaredha: thanks for your note. Because this is a historical biography we’d normally look for mainstream history texts to support the content. (By the way if you haven’t come across it, the tool at http://reftag.appspot.com is excellent - you can just copy a link to a Google book search and it creates a full Wikipedia citation for you).

Of the current sources, Qajar pages is not a reliable source, it’s a privately maintained fan site. Iran Ahlaq is a site about ethics so not a piece of mainstream historical scholarship. Rasekhoon is also a religious-cultural portal with magazine-type articles that don’t cite sources as far as I can see. Some of the other sources are fine so I’ve passed it through new pages review and in time other editors will work on it. Mccapra (talk) 17:06, 24 January 2021 (UTC)

hi yes I can help you add it. The really important question is whether the cousin has the right to release this image for use on Wikipedia. The correct process is for the image to be uploaded first to Wikipedia Commons (see https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Contact_us/fa) with a full explanation of the source and authority to release copyright. Once it’s on Commons, it can be used in Wikipedia articles. Mccapra (talk) 18:08, 25 January 2021 (UTC)

Resubmitting Scrittori greci e latini

Hi Mccapra,

the page Scrittori greci e latini exists in the italian and german Wikipedia. Could you please tell me what sources you think are needed to approve the publication of the page? This is the most important series of accademical edition of Latin and Greek literature published in Italy and I have already cited the catalog and publisher's page. I also cited 2 accademic reviews of books in English language:

  • Aristofane, Le nuvole, a cura di Giulio Guidorizzi, introduzione e trad. di Dario Del Corno, 1996. Reviewed by Alan H. Sommerstein
  • Ovidio, Metamorfosi, a cura di Alessandro Barchiesi, introduzione di Charles Segal, trad. di Ludovica Koch e Gioachino Chiarini, commento di A. Barchiesi, Philip Hardie, Edward J. Kennedy, Joseph D. Reed e Gianpiero Rosati, 6 voll., 2005-2015 (I: libri I-2, 2005; II: libri III-IV, 2007; III: libri V-VI, 2009; IV: libri VII-IX, 2011; V: libri X-XII, 2013; VI: libri XIII-XV, 2015). What more is needed?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards, --Maximianus (talk) 09:04, 26 January 2021 (UTC)

@Maximianus: Hi thanks for your note. The important things are 1. Wikipedia is not a catalogue. It is fine to have an article about the edition as a whole if there are sufficient sources, and some examples of the individual works can be included. 2. The page currently appears to be a copyright violation because it too closely copies the publisher’s site. 3. The refs you mention in your comment are ok but they’re about individual works, not the whole edition series. Ideally you want sources talking about the series as a whole. Possibly you could add a lot more reviews of individual works to build up the case for notability of the whole. Also they should be cited as references using one of the standard templates at the top left hand corner of the edit screen. All the best Mccapra (talk) 10:48, 26 January 2021 (UTC)

Hi based on what you have written so far, the topic does not look notable. The sources you’ve provided name the production house and/or its owner but there is nothing here that looks like in-depth coverage to me. Interviews cannot be used to support notability. Hello, you recently moved an article I created, Draft:Bargur taluk, to draftspace, stating it wasn't ready for the mainspace. I assume it was based on verifiability guidelines, since you also had previously added the refimprove tag. However, I am unfamiliar with such moves to draftspace, so there is a good chance I am missing something. Could you clarify what exactly I need to do to get it to mainspace standards? Thanks. Pls is there any reason why you tag Kwabena Ampofo Appiah as not notable. Because the person is notable here in Ghana. Thank youRuby D-Brown (talk) 04:57, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

@Ruby D-Brown: hi thanks for your message. My concern is that the first two references are interviews with him, which can’t be used to demonstrate notability; the third source actually doesn’t mention him; and the fourth is a routine press release about his appointment. Altogether this isn’t the required evidence of sustained, in-depth coverage in reliable independent sources. If you can find other sources that demonstrate this, I’ll take the tag off. Mccapra (talk) 06:44, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

Thank you Mccapra for explaining. The problem with our people here is that person can be notable but getting publications of the person becomes difficult because our media houses do not write about our own people. It making writing articles about notable people here very difficult and frustrating. Nevertheless I will try and research further to find some additional sources but that will require giving sometime. I really appreciate you takingtime to explain. Thank you Ruby D-Brown (talk) 11:20, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

@Ruby D-Brown: good luck! Mccapra (talk) 11:37, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

Hi @Imad J: thanks. I’ll move it but will also tag it. Most of the sources you’ve added are not reliable independent sources, they’re references to the channel’s own website. All the best Mccapra (talk) 19:14, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

@Aliasghar ghorbandokht: The article wasn’t successfully revised. You haven’t added any footnotes and there still aren’t really reliable sources (please see WP:RS) to support the article. Just adding Google and more music sites doesn’t help. You need reports about him in newspapers or reliable online sources, or similar. The important thing is to find sources that discuss the artist or his work in depth. I’ve put the tags back on. Mccapra (talk) 10:28, 13 March 2021 (UTC)

Will an article with a label like Hejar Saleh be removed or is it for information only? Aliasghar ghorbandokht (talk) 10:48, 13 March 2021 (UTC)

Can your person improve the article? I'm a little new to article writing If possible, please submit footnotes and references from Google Hazhr Saleh Ed and modify the article and remove the tag. Thanks Hazhar saleh article Aliasghar ghorbandokht (talk) 10:49, 13 March 2021 (UTC)

@Aliasghar ghorbandokht: the tags are there to alert the community of editors to what needs to be done to improve the article. They don’t mean the article will be deleted, but eventually if the article isn’t improved it will be proposed for deletion. I don’t really understand what you mean by “your person” - we are all individual volunteers here.
I understand it is difficult to format references correctly but don’t worry about that. If you want to send me links to online references I will format them and add them for you. However it is your responsibility as the article creator to find those sources. They can be in any language but things like Spotify and Apple Music are no good. We need proper critical reviews or in depth discussion of his work. If you find these I will add them. If you can’t find them I’m afraid the article won’t survive. Hi,

I got notified that you reviewed my recently created article, Presidency of Ram Nath Kovind. Do you have any suggestions for this article, and how can I expand it's scope and improve it? Also kindly let me know after how much time can I nominate my article for a "good article", my article currently has a B rating. Kavyansh.Singh (talk) 12:43, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

As you can see, Hazhar Saleh is a Persian singer, and unfortunately, there is no copyright law in Iran. That’s why the most reliable source on the Persian music market is Radio Javan. Please do research, and you’ll see it’s true.

Japanese destroyer Uranami (1907)

Hi, please have another look at this article you marked as reviewed - it seems to be a copy&paste move, and in the mentioned books this destroyer seems not to be mentioned (at least my google books inside search did not present any result). Perhaps mark as unreview?! Thanks. CommanderWaterford (talk) 08:07, 7 April 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for your note. I’m working just at the moment but will go back and look in a while. Mccapra (talk) 08:09, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
@CommanderWaterford: I see there’s now a copyvio notice on the article but that seems to be based an a Wikipedia mirror. Just before you messaged me some hours ago I noticed the same typos being copied from one article to another, and the number of inline citations dropping, but I put that down to the creator reusing material common to the entire class of vessels as they were creating a whole run of them. I see now that @Sturmvogel: shares your concerns so I will go back and unreview as you’ve suggested. Thanks. Mccapra (talk) 17:38, 7 April 2021 (UTC)

Could You Be More Careful?

You left this erroneous message on my tp & I’m baffled. I did not mark the page as reviewed but I sent it to AFD which automatically marks a page as reviewed. More problematic on your part is you failed to notice this move whereby the creator removes the AFD template and you failed to address them. Celestina007 (talk) 21:24, 16 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi thanks for your note. You’re right I failed to spot that it had gone to AfD and assumed it was just a mistake. Mccapra (talk) 21:35, 16 April 2021 (UTC)

ٍReferences on new pages about authors

Hi Mccapra, thank you for your reviewing work. You left a refimprove tag on my new pages for Fethia Hechmi and Amel Mokhtar, and I'm not sure exactly what is wrong with the references. (They're also marked as orphans but I have plan to fix that.) Is there a problem with the particular sources I've used, or do I just need more? If the latter, is it to prove notability or to back up particular facts (and which ones). I want to fix the articles but am not sure exactly how to do it, so I'd appreciate any detailed feedback you can give me. Thanks! Karen McNeil (talk) 22:37, 7 March 2021 (UTC)

@Karen McNeil: I thanks very much for creating these articles. In the case of Fethia Hechmi my concern was that three of the sources were by the same author and one was an interview, which generally can’t be used to establish notability. So if you are able to find any additional sources that would be good. With the Amel Mokhtar article I didn't tag for sources, just as an orphan. All the best Mccapra (talk) 06:58, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
You left refimprove article on two articles I created as well but I'm left to guess why it was added. I think everything in the article is in the sources that are cited but I may have made a mistake. Yesterday, I reviewed the articles after you tagged them and I noticed that two of the references had been switched around. Initially I thought this was why the tag had been added and fixed the citation, but you've now added the same tag to another article. Instead of making me guess why, would you mind terribly if I asked that you add the tag directly so I know where the citation needs to be fixed? Acidkrone (talk) 08:01, 18 April 2021 (UTC)

Apologies on the move to draftspace. Apparently we both were reviewing at the same time. I was digging through Google before I moved the article. Just curious, how does one deal with different opinions by NPP reviewers? – robertsky (talk) 09:19, 25 April 2021 (UTC)

I don’t think I disagree with you really. I know creators rarely respond to NPP tagging by adding more refs but generally I like to give them a bit of time before resorting to draftification. I think it’s only a difference of timing rather than anything fundamental. Ultimately if we disagree we can undo each others’ work and take an article to AfD for consensus if we need to but I’ve never come close to doing that with another reviewer’s work. Thanks for the note. Mccapra (talk) 09:31, 25 April 2021 (UTC)

Question about notability tag for Derja Association

You put a notability tag on the page I created for the Tunisian Derja Association and I'm unsure why. It has sources from several different news articles, it awards prizes and those prizes are covered in the news, and it was recently part of a controversy that was covered in the media. I don't see how it could be described as not notable— can you tell me what you're thinking on this? --Karen McNeil (talk) 16:35, 1 May 2021 (UTC)

@Karen McNeil: hi thanks for your note. My view of the sources is:
  • Sources 1 and 2 look fine to me.
  • Source 3 is someone’s profile page and does not support the notability of the topic.
  • Source 4 is self-published so does not support notability
  • Source 5 is an interview, which can’t be used to establish notability
  • Source 6 may be ok but looks to me like a press release (ie the journalist is essentially just relaying what the organisation said about itself)
  • Source 7 is about the mix up in prizes which is a news oddity rather than establishing anything about the Association
  • Source 8 is a dead link but also about the mixup in prizes
  • Source 9 again may be ok but looks like a press release
  • Source 10 looks good.

So I think 1,2 and 10 are currently the best sources. My suggestions would be to try and restore source 8 and to cut the material supported by 3 4 and 5. That will make the article more solid and I’d probably take the tag off and pass the article through New Page Patrol on that basis. I hope that’s useful. All the best Mccapra (talk) 03:21, 2 May 2021 (UTC)

@Mccapra:Those specifics were exactly what I needed, thank you! It might take me a week or so before I can come back to it but I'll follow your suggestions when I do. Thanks! --Karen McNeil (talk) 13:36, 2 May 2021 (UTC)

Sorry, but why did you move it to draft? It does not look worse sourced then other ligt novel volume lists. Smeagol 17 (talk) 07:53, 2 May 2021 (UTC)

@Smeagol 17: hi I sent it to draft because the list element of it (I.e. the substantive part, since we already have a good article on Mushoku Tensei), was sourced to an online bookseller which is not acceptable as a source to show notability. All the best Mccapra (talk) 12:59, 2 May 2021 (UTC)
Eh.. But volume dates and ISBNs are always sourced from such places, like List of One Piece chapters (1–186). As far as I understand, the lists are treated as an extension of the notable article, only split of for the ease of reading and page data size reasons. Or was there some changes in policy? Smeagol 17 (talk) 14:13, 2 May 2021 (UTC)
Ah ok you may be right about that and if that's right I wasn't aware of it. I'll move it back from draft. Mccapra (talk) 14:34, 2 May 2021 (UTC)

-AryanNawzad

Hi thanks for your message. Article subjects require in-depth coverage in multiple reliable sources. A single reference is not sufficient, and half the draft article was not sourced to anything at all. Ultimately if we don’t know much about his life, where he was born, etc. there may not be enough material for an article, and the few details we gave could just be incorporated into the Marwanids article. Hey there. Just saw this new article, which you had tagged (and I feel rightfully so) with a notability tag. The tag was removed, but I've restored it. I can't access several of the sources, but those I can are either interviews or short mentions, which don't amount to GNG. But my question is, what do you think of this as potentially being a case of UPE. All the pics are "own work", by the person indicated in the article as the subject's spouse. Thoughts?

The whole thing seems pretty dubious. I haven’t worked through all the sources yet but my sense is AfD will be the next stop. Mccapra (talk) 14:00, 8 May 2021 (UTC)

Cozi's official YouTube channel also is a reliable source and confirms a lot of the current and former programming as well. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLqnydZxy7JNsPN2E0Ze1Yg

@DarthBrett78: hi thanks for your message. I’m afraid Facebook, Youtube, the channel’s own website and blogs aren’t any good as sources. Please see the policy on notability which says Information on Wikipedia must be verifiable; if no reliable, independent sources can be found on a topic, then it should not have a separate article. Wikipedia's concept of notability applies this basic standard to avoid indiscriminate inclusion of topics. Article and list topics must be notable, or "worthy of notice". You need to find reliable independent sources to support the draft article and bring it back into mainspace. Mccapra (talk) 17:59, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
Well, I also did give a few links from other sites as well as the Sun Sentinel and Hollywood Reporter as well, which would fall into the category of outside sources that are reliable and are not blogs. I can find more articles if need be, but it seems sort of ridiculous that getting info directly from the television station's very own website as well as their FB and YT channels is somehow not considered a "reliable resource" for the information? This is very frustrating and seems counter-productive in terms of trying to provide as much information on here as possible for other readers. I also don't understand how references are being used from other stations that carry the channel and are somehow able to be used in the main article, but yet not the channel's own site itself for their list of programming? That seems like it is contradicting itself. I understand Wiki should be concise and expected to have correct information, but when the information is being provided by the original source and it is not a review or something that can even be considered biased, then it is actual information. For example, this would mean if an automobile manufacturer starts producing a new car, we can not use their own site as a resource for providing details or manufacturer's specifications? Who else is going to provide info other than the original source for things of that nature. Do you see what I am getting at? DarthBrett78 (talk) 00:18, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
Hi I understand what you’re saying but if Wikipedia allowed articles to be sourced to companies’ own websites it would rapidly become a mirror of their sites and we would be flooded with millions of articles full of material that was not notable. There are many things that are verifiable but not notable, and Wikipedia is not a catalogue. In this case, tens of thousands of tv channels broadcast millions of shows each year, but the question is, so what? We don’t want all of that in the encyclopaedia just as we don’t want a list parts for every engine that ever existed, or a list of all the views and comments from every celebrity, sourced to their Twitter account. If stations are producing original programming that is likely to be notable, but if they’re buying in and broadcasting shows like Friends or Big Brother that isn’t notable because everyone else is doing it. Mccapra (talk) 02:24, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
I see your point. I guess I feel as though there is no comprehensive list anywhere for someone who is curious as to which shows the network may have formerly had though. It takes hours of research and going through numerous articles and videos and such to figure this out, which I did do. I doubt most people would ever do that, so I figured it was information that some may find interesting and would be readily available for them to find on here. I hope that makes some sort of sense. I guess I feel like the more information and knowledge one can learn or take from Wiki, the better. But perhaps I'm the only one on the planet that cares to know what Cozi played in the past Hahaha! Ok, let's see. Thanks for your reply. Stay safe! Nalbarian (talk) 20:30, 16 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi. I came across skirt-bag, an article which you had moved to draftspace a few months ago, but which has recently been moved back into mainspace by the creator, bypassing AFC. I'm not sure whether that's an issue per se, but the topic's notability seems very questionable to me, so I thought you may want to have another look at it. Lennart97 (talk) 20:43, 18 May 2021 (UTC)

@Lennart97: as they say in Ireland, God loves a trier. Mccapra (talk) 21:08, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
Yes, certainly. I was mostly wondering if there's a way to still make it go through AFC, or whether I should just nominate it for deletion (after a careful BEFORE on my part, of course). Lennart97 (talk) 10:29, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
@Lennart97: Well if you think it has potential to be notable you can draftify it which will send it through AFC. If you think it’s not notable just AfD it.
