Hey Zen, no problem. I haven't read the entire article yet, I've had some time between classes today to look at the prose of the article to make sure it all flows well and that is what I'm working on right now. According to Online World of Wrestling, at the start of RAW, in Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel, he called out the first draft pick, which was John Cena. Cena cut a promo on anyone who wanted to face him for the WWE title. Christian came out and lambasted Cena, as he referred to him as a poser. That's all I read in the report. Do you mind working the sentence(s) into one. I am kind of busy with other expansions. Also, the report can be read here. I would be most gladly if you can help in any changes needed. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter[edit]
Ron Killings is still being reported as having signed a WWE contract. As there is no reliable source for anything of the sort, be prepared for his name to be continually added to the WWE Roster article, and information about his return being added to his article. There is also, apparently, an audio interview with Killings where he states he will be returning to WWE with his old K-Kwik gimmick. Recent SmackDown! taping spoilers indicate that Killings has already debuted under the name Kwik Killings in a Dark match. However, no reliable source for this information has been found yet.
The article collaboration for March 3 through March 16 is Ric Flair. Please help to improve it to match the quality of an ideal Wikipedia professional wrestling related article. The next article for collaboration will be chosen on Sunday, March 16.

Jeff Hardy was suspended by WWE for 60 days on March 11 for violating WWE's Substance Abuse and Drug Policy. On March 14, he lost his home in, Cameron, North Carolina, late friday night due to a fire. Fire Department officials currently cannot confirm what was the cause of the fire. Reports also say that Jeff's brother, Matt Hardy, saw smoke coming out of Jeff's house. RAWCommentator, Jim Ross, reports on his blog, "He lost essentially every thing he had and most sadly his dog".

At WrestleMania XXIV, Shawn Michaels defeated Ric Flair after executing the Sweet Chin Music, which as a result, meant that Ric Flair was forced to retire from professional wrestling. The next night, at Flair's retirement ceremony on Raw, Triple H congratulated Flair for his 35 year career, and brought out retired and current superstars to thank him. Michaels, and the whole WWE roster came out later to thank him as well.
The Undertaker defeated Edge to become the new World Heavyweight Champion forcing him to submit to the Gogoplata. During the pyro celebration for Undertaker's 16-0 streak, a freak accident occurred just before WrestleMania went off-air. During the pryo shooting to the entrance stage, a firework went to the upper-level section of the crowd on top. Forty-five fans were injured, and currently, WWE is trying to investigate what was the cause of the pyrotechnic malfunction

TNA has posted a notice on their official website detailing a release of wrestler Kaz. This has been reported to be kayfabe by numerous other sites, but be prepared to revert edits to Kaz's article regarding this as well as List of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling alumni
The guidelines for writing pay-per-view articles has been updated, see here. The new guidelines should be followed in order for an article to be nominated for Good article or Featured article status.

This is kind of stupid, but I'm going to do it anyway. You probably don't remember me, and to be honest, I don't really remember you. During my first few months on Wikipedia, I was...kind of an asshole. It's something I deeply regret. In November of 2007, I left the project in a huff, and I don't even remember why. I looked at my edit history from that time, and it seems I was in a rather vitriolic conflict, with you. Like I said, I don't even remember what it was about. I could open the diffs, but being that what I did was take my ball and go home, I'm pretty sure that whatever it was, I was in the wrong. And knowing how I was then, I'm sure I was miles away from civil in my direct dealings with you. I'm sorry. I know it's pretty meaningless to say that a year and a half later, but I've kind of felt lately like this was hanging over my head. I returned to the project in July of last year and have been a prolific and well-respected contributor ever since. I wish I could excise that past history in a more real way, but I can't. Hey there! It has been a long time, and while I remember you ..well, at least remember seeing your user name quite often when I was an active participant in the project, I don't remember the incident in question. During my time on Wikipedia (heck during anyone's time on Wikipedia it will happen) as an editor, I remember several "tiffs" with various people. I only remember a few details of a couple of them, and even those are still vague. In the grand scheme of life, "Wiki wars" mean little, even if they seem really important at the time (and I know its easy to let them get to you, I did sometimes). At any rate, the fact that it still bothered you after all this time and that you took the time to come to me lets me know you are a good person and that there are still people out there who try to do the right thing when they can! I too apologize for any upset I may have caused during that time. And its not meaningless to say it now - I've learned its never too late to say you are sorry. One of the main reasons I left (aside from getting busy with work) is that I was tired of all the constant fighting and drama within the project and between the project and some of the "higher ups" of the 'pedia. Some things just aren't worth fighting over. I've done a lot of personal growth myself since leaving. Anyway, I am very happy you are an active member of the project again; it needs good solid contributors. I hope I will one day have the time and patience to participate again myself. Over the past month, WP:PW hosted the first Professional Wrestling Stub Reduction Drive. In one month, the number of stub-class articles was reduced from 562 (13.84% of the project's total articles) to 477 (11.64%). More work expanding stubs is always appreciated. See here for more information.

On May 8, WWE signed Fred Sampson to a developmental contract.

On June 9, WWE reported that Batista had suffered a complete torn left bicep. He underwent surgery to repair it the followingday, and is expected to have at least four months of rehabilitation.
Referee Ted Tanabe died at the age of 46, after suffering a heart attack in the ring the previous night while officiating a match at a live event for Osaka Pro Wrestling.

On July 3, during a WWE live event in San Diego, California, Edge suffered a torn Achilles tendon while wrestling in a match. He underwent surgery on July 7, and will require rehabilitation which will sideline him from in-ring competition.

Brian Lawler was jailed for 30 days after failing to attend an in-patient treatment center as part of his plea agreement, following his arrest for public intoxication on June 26.

If you come across an article that fails notability requirements, you can tag it for speedy deletion if the criteria apply, propose it for deletion, or nominate it at WP:AFD.
The lead section of an article should introduce the subject and summarize the entire article's contents. The size of the lead will depend on the size of the article.
Be aware of the new format in the "In wrestling" sections of biographies, and apply the relevant section (WP:PW/SG#In wrestling) to new articles that you create, or previously created articls that have not yet been updated after the change.

WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter[edit]
As part of the project's New Year's Resolutions, there is an ongoing effort to decrease the number of stubs to 10%. As of August 16, we are at 12.13%, with 519 articles currently in Category:Stub-Class Professional wrestling articles. It still would be greatly appreciated if members would expand, source and improve stub articles, and a list has been placed on the stub article subpage of stub articles of well-known wrestlers and tag teams that should be fairly easy to improve.
This section is intended to warn users about potential targets of vandalism and speculation: professional wrestling events from major promotions for the month of August.
It was announced through various wrestling news sites that Jeff Jarrett had sold his final shares of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) to the Carter family and would be returning to the promotion as a wrestler only.
Please remember that fair use images and media can be only be used if no free equivalent is available or could be created. Fair use images uploaded when a free equivalent exists will be deleted.
Refer to WP:NC during the process of renaming an article, if a name does not adhere to these guidelines, be bold and move the article to the correct target name. If there is a naming conflict, follow the steps to a resolution or discuss the move on the project's talk page.
Trivia sections are discouraged in wikipedia articles. Information from such sections, if notable, should be merged into the main body of the article.
