WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter[edit]
There are currently 581 articles in Category:Stub-Class Professional wrestling articles. It still would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help expand and/or source an article or two. A list has been placed on the stub article subpage of stub articles of well-known wrestlers that should be fairly easy to improve.
The WP:PW Cleanup listing was updated this week by the bot for the first time since October. A number of Featured lists, Featured articles, and Good articles are listed as having problems. Anyone who fixes an problem with an article should remove it from the listing, so we can accurately keep track of it. All members are encouraged to help out.
There is an ongoing discussion here regarding what constitutes a "World Championship". All members are encouraged to particpate in the discussion.

It was reported by a Nielsen Media Research ratings report that the February 19 broadcast of TNA's Impact earned a 1.3 television rating, the highest rounded number the promotion has ever drawn.
WWE announced the release of Scotty Goldman from the company.
On an episode of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE announced the return of Gail Kim to the promotion via a video promo.
It was reported on February 21 that Sonjay Dutt had been released from his TNA contract, and this was confirmed with the removal of his profile from TNA's official website.
On February 20, it was reported that Freddie Prinze, Jr., a scriptwriter for Friday Night SmackDown, had been released from his contract with WWE.
On February 23:
Afa Anoa'i, Jr., known by his ring name "Manu", was released from his WWE contract.
On Raw, it was announced that Ricky Steamboat will be the fourth inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame as a part of the Class of 2009; he will be inducted by Ric Flair.
On February 25, WWE announced that they had discontinued the WWE One Night Stand name, and that their 2009 event would be replaced with the name 'Extreme Rules'.
ROH taped the first episode airings of their television series for HDNet on February 28 from the The Arena.

Hey, I can understand what you were thinking, and the word isn't absolutely necessary to describe his powers in a dry sense, but it's a very apt word, one I feel is extremely appropriate in this instance. In fact, his powers, and his personality for that matter, ARE bestial in nature. The claws, the fangs, the enhanced senses... they're not only tied to the fact that he's a mutant, but that he's also Lupine, linked to a subset of humanity which evolved from wolves rather than apes (along with Wolverine, Feral, Thornn, Wolfsbane, Sasquatch etc). See the entry on Romulus (Marvel Comics) and Fictional history of Wolverine#Post-Civil War for more info on that.
In any case, the character's beast-like nature is one of his key traits, so I feel that the word does the article service. If you really feel it needs to be removed, let's discuss it on the discussion page. I certainly wouldn't argue with a consensus, but I hope I've made my point here. I can't say I like the idea myself, and wouldn't be surprised if the Lupine aspect is ignored by future writers and slips out of canon, it IS still an element of an ongoing in-continuity book however. It's a story thread that hasn't been dropped yet despite having clearly been set-up in the beginning issues of Wolverine: Origins nearly three years ago. The Perros del Mal promotion announced a television deal with Televisa Canal 9.
On the September 29 episode of ECW, William Regal was announced as the interim general manager, as Tiffany had been injured in a kayfabe car crash. Only mentions in searches are wiki and mirrors or the championship lists that by themselves aren't enough independent coverage, minimal reporting on title changes etc. fails WP:GNG. I can also not figure out which promtion used the championship, thus cannot even confirm if the company is notable.)
