Hi

Hi Pedro. I noticed that sometimes you have some problems getting everything the way you want it to be here. I just wanted to let you know that I'd be willing to help you if you ever have any questions, or need some assistance. Sometimes, if an article won't quite survive in article space, either because it's not really notable, or it doesn't have enough references, or for whatever reason; you can create the article in your own user space. When you do that, it is sort of a sandbox environment that you can work on it with much less scrutiny on the quality of the article. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know, that I'm willing to help you if you ever want me to. Don't get discouraged; sometimes it just takes some time and work to get to understand all the things going on around here. Cheers, and please keep on working. — Ched :  ?  21:35, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

LOL at "delete Crystal". Probably are a lot of folks that would like that - but boy would I get in trouble for trying to. ;-) — Ched :  ?  21:49, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
Do you mean like: Gene Simmons Family Jewels, or are you talking about a different "Simmons family"? — Ched :  ?  22:07, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

New page

I created a quick page at: User:Pedro thy master/Simmons family. I think there might be enough information about it to make it a workable article. Do some editing to it, add what you want the article to be focused on, and I'll look in from time to time to see if I can help. If you find a good web-site about the family, but don't know how to "WP:CITE" things yet, just put the url on the talk page at: User talk:Pedro thy master/Simmons family. I was never a huge KISS fan, but I'll try to help if I can. — Ched :  ?  22:35, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

Good work

You learn pretty fast there Pedro. It's looking pretty good. One thing you may want to start learning is the "edit summary". At the bottom of the edit window, right above the "Save page" button, is another single line window you can type in. It's basically to make notes of what you did and why. It helps both you, and other editors, see how an article has progressed as it gets built up. You can type things like: "copyedit for better understanding", "added references", "fixed spelling" ... things like that. Some folks just use short notes: "ce" (for copyedit), "sp" (for spelling fixes) ... either way, it's a good practice to get into early on - it will help you find things later as the edits increase. Let me know if you need a hand with anything. Cheers. — Ched :  ?  02:14, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Pedro

Please stop for a bit. Your editing at 24 (TV series) is raising concerns with other editors. Please use the article talk pages, or if you'd like - discuss the issues with the editors who work on the articles on their own talk pages. I greatly appreciate your enthusiasm, your devotion, your dedication, and your eagerness to help - but rushing into things too quickly can often lead to misunderstandings, hurt feelings, and resentment by other editors. Please talk to Steve before you continue. He has more experience in mentoring editors than I do, and he is willing to help you. Please listen to him, and allow him to show you how to be more productive and helpful. I'll get back to you ASAP, as I am very pressed for time at the moment, but I don't want to see you getting into trouble either.

If Steve is willing to offer you his mentor-ship program, it could provide you with some very very valuable resources and knowledge. He has often helped me when I was not sure how to help. — Ched :  ?  03:48, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

I did want you to know that I really, really appreciate you helping out at the articles that I work on Pedro. I hope that my post above didn't come across as too "abrupt", ... I was very pressed for time. You are learning very quickly, and it's hard for me to keep up with everything that goes on here at WP. I do look forward to continuing to work with you. ;) — Ched :  ?  11:33, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Hey you

Hey Pedro. It has been many years since I had a class, but I'm going to give it a shot here ...

Como estoy?

LOL ... sorry, it's been years since I spoke any Spanish. I did get to go to Spain for 10 days in my senior year though. What a great memory. Anyway ... what I wanted to ask you. Are you familiar with page history and watchlists? You can read about them at:

If you already know that then that's great. It helps to be able to follow these couple things. All my best my friend. — Ched :  ?  08:45, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Sig

There is an article at WP:SIG, but I found it hard to follow. Basically, you need to go to your preferences page - and down on Signature part, you need to put a check in the Sign my name exactly as shown box. Then write your code - something like the following:

  • [[User:Pedro thy master|<span style="color: #AC0000">Pedro J.</span>]][[User talk:Pedro thy master|<span style="color: #000080">the rookie</span>]]

That will give you:

For the specific colors you want, look at the article: HTML color names. Try it out on your talk page, or in a sandbox first to make sure it works. Note: The "the Rookie" won't show as a link on your own talk page, simply because you are already ON your talk page .. lol. Hope that helps. — Ched :  ?  18:18, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Brian and Stewie

Just a few quick comments that I hope will help:

  • In both cases, you need more real world background information. Take a look at all of the Simpson character GA/FAs like Homer Simpson, Bart Simpson or Waylon Smithers: in all three cases, such info takes up almost half the article.
  • I'm impressed with how much the "Ambiguous sexuality" section in Stewie's article has been cleaned up. Last time I saw it, it was a huge mess. I think the quote in the section should use the {{quote box2}} template.
  • Is there any way that you could include Brian in the family section in the infobox on Stewie's article? He's a major character and a family member, and I think it would be very useful to include him.
  • In Stewie's article, the "Family Guy: Stewie's Guide to World Domination" section should be trimmed quite a bit. In the Simpsons characters, all books and such have been combined into a "merchandise" section.
  • This is more of a personal opinion than anything, but I really dislike "Other appearances"/"in pop culture" sections. In many cases, the appearances are very minor and/or unsourced. I don't think you really need a dozen examples to prove that the character has a place in pop culture.
  • In Brian's article, the first four sections should be combined and it should be reorganized. Some advice: The way I write character articles is to split everything into four sections: in universe (ie. "Role in The Simpsons", real world/background (ie. "Character"), Reception & analysis, and influnce & merchandise. You don't have to follow that model, but it would be a good start.

You have a good start on both articles, but I think both need more real world info. I hope that helps. -- Scorpion0422 15:04, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Do some Google news searching and searching in sources like NewsBank. Search for something general like "Stewie Griffin" and see what comes up. If you're not getting anything, try looking for specific episodes that heavily feature the character. -- Scorpion0422 00:45, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

You could discuss why Seth McFarlane decided to voice the characters, where he got their voices from, whether he ever considered casting someone else, etc. -- Scorpion0422 23:24, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Re: FG.

I like to think so. I've seen just about every episode. I don't have any of, nor have I seen any of, the DVD's. But on the topic of the episodes and most pop culture related references, I like to think so. Why? --HELLØ ŦHERE 22:09, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Possibly. What specifically do you need help with? --HELLØ ŦHERE 22:13, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
Well, I wouldn't call myself and "expert", but I'm pretty well-rounded in both I guess. --HELLØ ŦHERE 22:19, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
The Family Guy main page? --HELLØ ŦHERE 01:58, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
Well, I can take a look. I was trying to clean the Stewie page a little. --HELLØ ŦHERE 02:08, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
Do you have any Family Guy DVDs? That is where you will find commentary, and what grammar/spelling do you need help with. CTJF83Talk 03:48, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
Might I suggest that you download Firefox, as it will show you spelling errors. That, or use a sandbox to write when you want, and then have someone check it over for spelling/grammar errors, before you publish and save it CTJF83Talk 06:08, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
Actually yes, that is a good idea. You can just copy and paste an article to word, make your changes, and then copy it back to here. CTJF83Talk 17:22, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
Skimming over, it's getting better, still not GA ready though. There are less pictures, which is good. You are still using planet family guy as a source, which you shouldn't. Once you think you're read to nominate it for GA, let me know, and I'll do a through read over CTJF83Talk 20:28, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
Buddy TV looks good to me. Like here how they say they got their information from E! online, that is very good. If planet family guy did that, they would be a reliable source too, but they don't. CTJF83Talk 21:31, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
You really shouldn't use videos as a source either. Someone should be able to check references easily, not have to watch a video. See if you can find a print source that is reliable. CTJF83Talk 21:35, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
I'm not 100% sure, I'd say take a little time to look for a printed source, but according to the 2nd paragraph here, videos are ok, as long as they are distributed by a reliable third-party source, I guess they are ok, so no youtube video references. CTJF83Talk 21:54, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
do you want me to just check on Family Guy, or character articles too? CTJF83Talk 20:59, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
Ok, give me a little bit, I'm looking over my watchlist changes, then I'll check it out, and get back to you in 15 or so minutes. CTJF83Talk 21:01, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
Already I can tell you it isn't ready at all. Like this...."The politicians on the show are some not normal laws, but the show those have some politics that do exist in the real world like for example the episode You May Now Kiss the... Uh... Guy Who Receives,[72] [73] Gay Marriage is band from the Quahog city because the mayor had made an error. In the show it is shown that the resident’s of the city have are close minded when it comes to religion, in the episode Not All Dogs Go to Heaven,[74] when Meg tells people that Brian is an atheist people go against him." what does that even mean? It doesn't make any sense. CTJF83Talk 21:14, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
It didn't necessarily need to be removed, I just didn't understand what you were trying to say CTJF83Talk 21:25, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
Still written poorly, sorry to say. You are also providing your own opinion and WP:OR by saying the citizens are closed minded and that the gay marriage law is unusual. Is User:Bovineboy2008 saying he thinks it is ready for GA? I'm not sure how much help he is providing. CTJF83Talk 21:42, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
No, right now (other than grammar and spelling) it is high-B or low-A. BOVINEBOY2008 :) 22:38, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
Have you tried to use microsoft word to correct spelling/grammar, like I had suggested? CTJF83Talk 04:51, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
I don't really think the opening is a hallmark of the show, unlike The Simpsons. Also, it is unnecessary to have multiple references for one single point, two maximum works. I'd say only 2 for real life bio, for something major, like death or something. CTJF83Talk 05:21, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
Ugh, Pedro! I'm going to have to start my own subpage for what is wrong with this article...."Reruns on Adult Swim[7][8][9] drove interest in the show up,' not one of the sources says that. They say FG is shown on Adult Swim, but none say it drove interest up, plus one is a wiki, which is clearly an unacceptable source. CTJF83Talk 05:25, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
"MacFarlane was working for Hannah-Barbera[4][5] and was working on the pilot for family guy." where on that source is his name even mentioned?! Come on Pedro! I'm done for tonight, it is too frustrating. CTJF83Talk 05:29, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
Do you have grammar corrector on your version of word? CTJF83Talk 17:17, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
I don't remember that, are you meaning of gallery of FG pictures? That is strongly frowned upon, and usually unacceptable. CTJF83Talk 22:59, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
I think it's a good idea, who and why was it removed? CTJF83Talk 17:19, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
I don't see a reason to remove them, what was Bovine's reason for removal. CTJF83Talk 17:30, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Please do not edit FG till I'm done with my review, as it will cause an edit conflict. CTJF83Talk 20:52, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
Ok, I've done some clean up and fixes and have made several suggestions on improving the article before it is nominated. Let me know if you have more questions! CTJF83Talk 21:33, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
What's going on with this? I haven't heard from you in a while. CTJF83Talk 23:57, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
Ok, I'll let you know if I have more suggestions. CTJF83Talk 03:09, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
For a theme section look at The_Simpsons#Themes. For your reception, I made a few minor grammar changes (In the future remember all newspapers get italics, as long as anytime you have the words Family Guy, and all quotes from people get quotation marks, I've fixed these for you)

Family Guy has also received positive reviews from critics. Catherine Seipp of the National Review Online called it a "nasty but extremely funny" cartoon.[1] Caryn James from the The New York Times, called it a show with an "outrageously satirical family" and "includes plenty of comic possibilities and parodies."[2] The Sydney Morning Herald gave Family Guy a positive review calling it the Show Of The Week in April 21, 2009, and also called it a "pop culture-heavy masterpiece".[3] Frazier Moore from the Seattle Times called it an "endless craving for humor about bodily emissions". He also called it "breathtakingly smart" and said a "blend of the ingenious with the raw helps account for its much broader appeal". He finished up by calling it "rude, crude and deliciously wrong".[4] Actress Emily Blunt called it her favorite series.[5]

If you did all my suggestions on the FG talk page, then I have nothing more to suggest. (and suggest you nominate it for WP:GA) I'm not sure FG has any real themes. CTJF83Talk 02:28, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
"Its cancellation was announced, but Fox decided to make a third season" Please find when the cancellation was announced and for what reason, and why they decided to make a third season. CTJF83Talk 02:56, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
It is nominated correctly. I'd prefer to have a source for both the years and the reviewer might agree with me on that. CTJF83Talk 03:16, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
Ya, that should be ok CTJF83Talk 17:48, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
I'll take a look at it when I wake up CTJF83Talk 05:59, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, forgot all about it.
  • For Patriot Games,
    • the lead needs to be fixed up, specifically the plot summary. I'd do it, but can't remember specifically what happens, is it Peter goes to his reunion and doesn't amount to anything, and I can't remember where Brady comes in to play. Also for the lead, mention one specific cultural reference, instead of just saying it has cultural references.
    • I don't really think u need to list about it being uncensored on adult swim, if you do, move it to the production section, instead of its own section.
    • I suggest removing the cultural reference to Airport 07, especially cause this aired first, in fact, we shouldn't really mention any other episodes as cultural references, cause they aren't.
    • "the Volume four episodes are easily funnier than the volume three ones", thus referring to the episode." needs to be removed, because you don't know for sure he is referring specifically to this episode.
    • Oh, and not sure if the Ryan J Budke reception is a direct quote or not, but if it is, it needs quotation marks
  • For Untitled Griffin Family History
    • need a source for the also known as title
    • "The ship captain who is thrown overboard while asleep by Peter and his friends during the Nate Griffin story is a reference to Meatballs, as is the music heard in the background" needs a reference

CTJF83Talk 04:20, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

LOL, great Stewie seen when he beats the crap out of Brian. CTJF83Talk 17:57, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
No one has commented in a while, but I think the consensus is to include the category. CTJF83Talk 18:57, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
Not a problem! This is enough thanks for me :) At first I thought you were going to be another editor messing everything up, but was I mistaken! I'm sure it is hard to edit here when English isn't your native language. But you're doing a great job!! Keep it up!! CTJF83 chat 01:42, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
I have a to-do list on my user page, that I eventually wanna get to, kinda lazy right now. CTJF83 chat 16:29, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
That's ok, I have all the Simpsons and FG DVDs that are out, so if you wanna work on the other sections, that'd be great. CTJF83 chat 21:20, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
Gay marriage one? Sounds good. CTJF83 chat 22:22, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

Hulu vid

Hey Pedro. It's an interview with Mila Kunis (and other cast members and director) about her being cast in the role as Meg Griffin. It's less than two minutes long - is there something from it you need for a reference? — Ched :  ?  03:18, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

Welcome!

It is always wonderful to see brand new editors join the squadron. I didn't learn about WP:ARS until I had been on wikipedia for 3 years. I hope our little community gives you more in help and assistance than you contribute to the project. Welcome!

Here to help articles tagged for rescue!

Hi, Pedro thy master, welcome to the Article Rescue Squadron! We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying and rescuing articles that have been tagged for deletion. Every day hundreds of articles are deleted, many rightfully so. But many concern notable subjects and are poorly written, ergo fixable and should not be deleted. We try to help these articles quickly improve and address the concerns of why they are proposed for deletion. This covers a lot of ground and your help is appreciated!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the talk page, and we will be happy to help you.

And once again - Welcome! Ikip (talk) 15:20, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

Family Guy

Hi, I'm sorry, but I kinda hate doing stuff at other reviewer's request. I'll problably help out, but I just don't have a lot of time. I could see if I could give a second pre-GAn review if it would help? The main problem is a gigantic lack of references, I'll see if I can find some more.--Music26/11 14:50, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

Don't know if I can claim anything, but before the article goes to GAN, I would like to work on the reception section. Because, frankly, that section sucks. If you would like to expand it yourself, I would advice House and 30 Rock for inspiration.--Music26/11 15:04, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

Hi, I got the message. I not much of a fan of family guy, but I can help. Why do you ask? Secret Saturdays (talk to me)

Peer reviews

Hi. Please note that when you are considering requesting a peer review, it is generally a good idea to first and at least make a note on the article talk page to possibly generate discussion about a review. Also note that when you've requested a peer review, there are instructions on the nomination page that should be followed. The page says "Your review may be more successful if you politely request feedback on the discussion pages of related articles; send messages to Wikipedians who have contributed to the same or a related field; and also request peer review at appropriate Wikiprojects." As it was on the Heath Ledger article, no one knew a peer review had even been requested until someone came along to post a link to the review he had done. Editors had discussed at one point work this article to a good or featured article status but had postponed any movement in that direction until awards season had ended, his estate had been settled and the Terry Gilliam film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, had been released. Basically, when those things happen, the article would be fairly much complete and could then move forward. Wildhartlivie (talk) 20:36, 13 September 2009 (UTC) Also, please do not move forward to incorporate or make changes in the article until the peer review has been closed and concerned editors have had a chance to consider and discuss comments made in the peer review. There are many editors who have worked long and hard on this article and their viewpoints and concerns need to be considered and who should be involved in any movement toward GA or FA status. Wildhartlivie (talk) 20:46, 13 September 2009 (UTC)

Re:Family GUy

I'm sorry, but I haven't any time recently to take a look at the article. Try asking DaBomb87, he's a much better reviewer than I, and I'm sure he'll be willing to take a look. -- Scorpion0422 03:10, 20 September 2009 (UTC)

What type of help? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 21:16, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
Well, I don't know what kind of theme Family Guy uses. I've seen the show, but I'm not really that knowledgeable about it. Maybe you should ask someone who's worked on Family Guy related articles. I've never worked on them, only reviewed them. Sorry. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 14:55, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
I don't have time to help out, sorry. Gary King (talk) 18:26, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

Hi there. I'm guessing you want to get Two and a Half Men to GA status? Well, I really hate that show, lol, but I'd be able to help if you need anything. What do you need most assistance with? Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 05:43, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

Well I don't watch the show, so I can't help with the synopses. To cite a magazine, you can use the template, Template:Cite journal. That should help with any problems. Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 11:40, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

Hi, Pedro thy Master. If you have time, please review History of the Flags of Romania. Thanks. Secret Saturdays (talk) 00:31, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for passing the article. Can you also review WALL-E for me? Secret Saturdays (talk) 22:58, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

I just noticed you nominated this article for GA status - as I am the person who wrote that entire article, I would just like to ask you why you did so as I checked and you've made 0 edits to the page. I would just like to ask for consent before I removed the article from WP:GAN. The Flash {talk} 01:04, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

Ah, no problem. Just wanted to know why. I really don't believe the article is ready yet - there's a lot more I need to put in/fix and such. Anyways, thanks for clearing it up. So, do you mind if I removed it? The Flash {talk} 01:17, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
Great. And thanks for the compliment :). The Flash {talk} 01:27, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

Yes, I've done about eleven or so GA reviews - why? The Flash {talk} 22:48, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
Oh, well I'm sorry, but I'm quite busy with the reviews for some of my articles and working on a new article. You'll just have to be patient for the review - I've had to wait months for my articles to be reviewed before. Cheers, The Flash {talk} 22:53, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

Please pay attention to this, weird isn't spelled as wierd and article isn't spelled at artical. Knowing how to spell every word isn't required but spelling some that you use everyday should be spelled correctly. Also, please use caps and not just lowercase letters. Finally, when conducting GA reviews, read the article, look at the refs, check the images, make sure it's broad, stable and is neutral. Not doing one of these, makes the review inaccurate.--Giants27(Contribs|WP:CFL) 00:33, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

Family Guy

Sorry it took me a while to reply; I don't think the Family Guy article is ready for GAn yet, and I certainly don't think Patriot Games is ready for GAn. That might be a bit sudden, let me explain it to you: Always avoid short sections or paragraphs. Qst, who is responsible for a large number of Family Guy GAs, often did it, and I'm surprised some of his articles passed GAn. The Patriot Games article is just not ready, it's well on its way though, I'll give you my concerns for the main article later. In the meantime remember:

  • About.com is highly doubtful as a source
  • TV.com is unreliable
  • IMDb is unreliable
  • If a source (frequently a newspaper) has an author and/or publish date, use it in the cite template.
  • I'd advice you to use the MM-DD-YY date format instead of the ISO format (I've learned FAC reviewers prefer it)

I know Tezkag72 owns the season 4 dvd set, so you could contact him for possible expansion of the production and/or cultural references section. I'll be back soon.--Music26/11 19:45, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

Friends

Your userpage mentions that you helped to promote the article Friends to good article status. Forgive my rudeness, but I fail to see your contribution either to the article or to the GA review process. I would be glad to be convinced otherwise, but if not, suggest removing that achievement from your userpage. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 04:46, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

Thanks. Another advice - convert refs 3,4,11,23,31,54,76-80 in family guy from bare urls into proper format (at least with a name) - bare urls are not acceptable at GA (even at DYK) level. Materialscientist (talk) 11:54, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

In this section, do you think OR about when the episodes will air is ok? Grande13 feels the need to add episode titles with out official Fox press releases, based on the OR of Adult Swim airing one week after Fox. Please comment here. CTJF83 chat 17:05, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

They are on the OFFICIAL schedule from adultswim. Fox has exclusive rights for 1 week before they can air on adult swim, this isnt anything new here Grande13 (talk) 17:11, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
No it is not, Ctjf83 is an expirienced editor and has been working in FG and simpsons articals for a time so i think he would knmow best . --Pedro J. the rookie 17:17, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
I've been here just as long, if not longer, and while I agree that CTJ has made quality contributions, everything he says about something doesn't mean he knows best on every subject. Adultswim has a contract with Fox to air the episodes after they have aired on FOX., so if adultswim schedules them they must have word for their fox airdatesGrande13 (talk) 17:20, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

that's crap, fox is the producing channel and network of fg and AD is just a channel that shows them , and seeing your past work and many diffrent disscusions with Ctjf83, i think you have some control probleams cause that is not a good source i have listed in Ctj talk page as well. --Pedro J. the rookie 17:23, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

whats crap? Adult swim actually shows the extended and uncensored version of the episode a week after fox shows the broadcast edited version. Adult swim has had a contract with fox for family guy ever since they started airing it around 2003 when Fox had already cancelled the show. Anyways, the official schedule for adult swim shows the upcoming airings of family guy and that should be a legitimate source for adding them to the article. Just because CTJ and I dont always get along doesn't mean my sourced info cant be addedGrande13 (talk) 17:28, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
you are not getting the point is that it is not a good source.--Pedro J. the rookie 17:29, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
how is using an official schedule not a proper source? just because fox hasn't released the info on foxflash doesnt mean they havent given it to other networks, but its an official schedule on an official site for a tv network. They have numerous shows listed in the future without other information, but for family guy the codes are listed so thats when they are going to air. Grande13 (talk) 17:32, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
Since you two are having such an issue with it I removed the fox dates, and just included the adultswim airdates. Once fox releases their schedule for those shows the sources can be updated and changed to reflect fox's airdates since you seem to have an issue with it nowGrande13 (talk) 17:34, 3 October 2009 (UTC)Beterr idea don't use them at all, wait till they air. --Pedro J. the rookie 17:39, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
its an official source, so i will be adding them later tonight when i return as there is no reason to remove them...Grande13 (talk) 17:57, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

GA Review

It appears you passed History of the flags of Romania as a GA here: Talk:History of the flags of Romania/GA1. However, it is still listed at Wikipedia:Good article nominations and not at Wikipedia:Good articles. If you did pass it, please remove it from the nominations list and place it at the WP:GA page. The top of the WP:GAN page has some instructions on what steps to take in order to pass an article. maclean (talk) 23:20, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

I have nominated Simmons family, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Simmons Family. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Family guy

Hey Pedro, I took a look at that list and created a subpage for you at User:Pedro thy master/Family guy list for you to work on it. The list is pretty easy to work with. To add to it, just copy:

to the bottom to add another row of cells and add fill in the blanks as required. You have to manually put them into order (probably by importance or something like that.) If you need any help let me know, but I won't have time in the near future to populate the list. Cheers. --kelapstick (talk) 15:57, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

Reggaeton

Hey there Pedro thy master, I noticed you recently passed reggaeton's good article nomination. Unfortunately, I have to disagree that this article meets the good article criteria. Just skimming the article shows that several sentences and paragraphs lack inline citations, thus not meeting our verifiability and no original research policies. I also found one dead link. Also through skimming, I noticed several paragraphs are just one sentence. That signifies a definite flaw in its writing structure. Furthermore, there are several instances where the manual of style is not being followed. I think you should re-review the article as it definitely does not meet the criteria and possibly reverse your pass to a holding period. If you disagree with my assessment or need assistance with anything, feel free to reply to my message here on your talk page. Please note that if there is no activity within seven days, I plan to take the article to be reassessed. Thank you. — ξxplicit 20:08, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

I came here to say the smae thing. There are multiple sections without references, spelling, punctuation and grammar mistakes, instances of WP:OVERLINKING, and other things. Best, Matthewedwards :  Chat  16:13, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

Re. You May Now Kiss the... Uh... Guy Who Receives

Family Guy (sucks)

I'll try and get around to doing a review some time this weekend, I don't really have much time, but I'll try to. I had a quick glance through it and it looks good. And thanks for reviewing George Meyer, I didn't see your message, much appreciated. Gran2 15:22, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

By FL I'm assuming you mean FA, and by that I assume you are referring to Family Guy. Anyway, I'm not actually that good at full reviews so I'll just gave a few general comments in the PR. Gran2 14:04, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
I see. Well the lead needs to be a little longer, but apart from that I'd say, yes, that'd pass. Gran2 14:11, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

Re: Smooth Criminal

Well, to be a B-class article, it needs a lot of work. If you see "4 Minutes" as an example, you could start from there. As of now, the article is dull and classifies to have a Start class. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 23:28, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Alright listen up

Hi, I hope I'm not insulting you with this, but I think you're a bit annoying. Sorry, yeah well, let me put it this way: you are not subtle. That's the main issue. I hope I'm not removing myself from the "great fellow wikipedians list" on your userpage but I want you to know this so, maybe, we can work out our differences. First of all, please use capital letters, It's very annoying that you don't use a capital I or start your sentences with a capital letter. Second of all, I am somehow under the impression that you are not responding to comments. Almost all of the articles you've worked on have layout issues that have already been pointed out to you. Short paragraphs for instance, or uncited sources. As for the Gregory House article, I've kinda lost interest in editing that. It needs a reception section and, when I was contributing to it, I just couldn't put myself to creating it. The lead needs a fix, and there are some uncited statements, but it looks fine. As we both work on Family Guy related articles I expect we will bump in to eachother more often, that's why I hope you don't get upset but just try to be a little less in my space. As for now: "EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT THE BIRD IS THE WORD!!!! Happy editing.--Music26/11 21:05, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

Family Guy copyedit

The article is already a GA, and should not need copyediting at this point. no one has requested it on the talk either, and I don't want to go in and revise an article that doesn't need it. Why do you think it needs to be copyedited? MSJapan (talk) 17:15, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

Articles can always be improved and articles reaching GA status often have barely passable prose. GA is just a small step on a road to WP:FA which has much more exacting standards of writing, referencing etc. Hell, many featured articles still need a copyedit and are promoted anyway. This one needed it badly and it still has problems that would take it out of consideration for featured article status.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 02:48, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

Re:Hallmarks

I'm not sure, because it doesn't really add anything to the real world perspective of the character. That stuff could be incorporated into the Role section. I know Bart's page has a hallmarks section, but that was largely because I had real world info on several things, and nowhere to put it, so I created a hallmarks section. -- Scorpion0422 18:25, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

GA Reviews

Pedro, I noticed you recently passed The Chinese Restaurant and Pilot (Glee) as Good articles; however, I'm concerned that you might not have conducted full reviews for them. In reading Talk:The Chinese Restaurant/GA1 it looks as though you checked the article against only three of the GA criteria: that it is (1) Well written, (4) NPOV, (5) Stable, and (6) has images. Did you check whether it meets cirteria 2 and 3, that it is Factually accurate and verifiable, and broad in coverage?

What worries me more is that when you conducted your review for Pilot (Glee), you simply copy/pasted the entire GAN page from The Chinese Restaurant, which indicates that that article received even less of a review from you (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Pilot_(Glee)/GA1&diff=prev&oldid=321262274).

Also, when you update article talk pages, be sure to follow the instructions at , by adding "{{GA|~~~~~|topic=|page=}}" rather than simply {{GA}} per the instructions

I see that people have already tried to discuss your GAN reviews with you, here; if you need additional help in reviewing articles, you could try asking people at GA Mentors. Matthewedwards :  Chat  18:37, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

Oh, I see! Yeah, I generally find sources via Google searches, which are MASSIVELY helpful, and other times simply by accident. A simply Google search can give you more sources then normally thought of. The Flash {talk} 00:41, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

Oh, okay. Yeah, well, it's the same process — Google the show or episode and start searching for info. DVD extras are also a huge help, and so are books if there are any that cover it. Oh, and thanks for the GA review! :) The Flash {talk} 00:37, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

Quick

Hey Pedro, hope you're doing well. I just took a quick look at the FLC you're working on, and thought I'd drop a couple notes:

  1. I think it's very well done, clear, concise, and pretty good lay-out.
  2. You may run into an issue with overlinks during the review. Some of the actors are linked 3 and 4 times, and that's usually not done to that extent.
  3. You have a lot of information in prose style in the "Current cast" section that may be redundant to other articles we have. This particular item is one I want to follow, simply because I've seen the concern raised about the very same thing on a list I have worked on.
  4. You've got the alt-tags in the pictures - good job, many folks miss that little detail.
  5. Your first table isn't "sortable", but the rest of your tables are. It looks like it might be a chore to make it sortable the way it's laid out right now - I don't know if anything can be done to resolve that or not. I'll take a look later on. (although I do have an idea)

All in all I think it looks pretty good - keep me posted and I'll follow along on it all. I'm not a regular reviewer on featured content or anything, so I'm very flattered that you'd ask my opinion on this. Something I can learn here, so I enjoy looking things over and seeing how they progress. Cheers. — Ched :  ?  19:31, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Quick help

Hey, could you address User:Ophois's recent request to expand the reception section of the Family Guy (season 5) article? You seem to be good at finding reviews and reception pieces to add to the article. Gage (talk) 20:53, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

I would, but I'm not really familiar with that sort of list. I commented on the other one because I'm a fan of Family Guy and noticed it had some issues that needed resolving. Ωphois 23:27, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

Hi there. the Wikiproject for FIFA hs been approved. Feel free to sign up and/or help me fix the Wikiproject page. Secret Saturdays (talk) 23:11, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

It's not uncommon for it to happen. If the director/delegate feels that there is no way the article can pass within 10 days they will close it. I'm assuming my statement had something to do with it as well. -- Scorpion0422 00:26, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

Well, I think it was more because I was the leading contributor and I felt it wasn't quite ready. A couple quick comments, I think the "Character" section could use some expanding, same with the "reception" section. It would also be nice to see a "cultural influence" similar to the one in Bart and Homer's pages. -- Scorpion0422 00:44, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

It's a start, but I'd like to see more added. I noticed a number of spelling errors in there as well. -- Scorpion0422 01:47, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

I don't really have a lot of time at the moment. Could I take a look at it on the weekend? In the meantime, try asking Theleftorium or Gran2 for help. Also, might I suggest that you start spell checking your edits, as I've noticed that you do tend to make a number of spelling errors. For example, the "cultural influences" section in your sandbox contains a number of spelling and grammatical errors (ie. "reconiced", "enviornmentaly", "wher") -- Scorpion0422 02:00, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

She has appeared in a few specials, I believe she was in the American Idol special with the rest of the family a while back. -- Scorpion0422 01:10, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

Like I said, I don't have a lot of time to look up stuff for you right now. Just do google searches and such. Try looking up Yeardley Smith's credits on IMDB, and it might give you some ideas for stuff that Lisa appeared in. Then, try to find a reliable reference for it. -- Scorpion0422 02:51, 19 November 2009 (UTC)

family guy list

It makes more sense to have the episode list connected to the season pages. That way all the info remains the same. More and more tv shows are getting season pages and linking the pages is an expanding practice. There is nothing that says a featured list can't be in this format, and it would make more sense for a feature list to have that format as it will keep all the information the same and easily fixable in one place as opposed to having to fix one thing multiple times because the same info appears on multiple pages. Anyways when i have some time i'll change it back or you can do it yourself...It also elps reduce vandalism as less pages would have to be watched since there is only one central location to change all the info. Grande13 (talk) 20:10, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

if it looked different i could possibly understand but it looks the exact same so might as well not have multiple versions of the same info on different pages. Grande13 (talk) 20:11, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
I dont even see what the question is? this format is superior as it reduced the places for vandalism, and it will keep all the info the same on the episode list and season pages. Before they were combined there were many issues of information being different on the season pages from the main episode list. This keeps all the information in uniform on all the pages...It doesnt need to be discussed any further really? What is the reasoning for changing it back? Grande13 (talk) 20:15, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
its two extra columns for writer and director thats it? that really doesnt disturb the flow at all and allows for someone to easily check for certain writers/directors without having to navigate all the season pages. not everything has to match up exactly with the simpsons page....Grande13 (talk) 20:18, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
again whats the benefit of having it the way it is now? By the way its also missing a column for that seasons episode number....anyways the other one has all the advantages and it insures that ALL that info on the season pages regarding the episodes is the same as on the main episode list. Even putting in vandalism guards will not completely prevent the pages from having the same info. The other method guarantees the info will be the sameGrande13 (talk) 20:21, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
there is no reason the writer cant be on the main page? its not a lot of space at all and there is much more info on the individual seasons pages as well that already differentiates it from the main episode list Grande13 (talk) 20:22, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
changing it will just make things sloppier as season pages will have the capabiltiy of having different info than the main list. It just makes more sense to have one master list that if changed in one location changes all other locations to keep things the same and accurate which is what we wantGrande13 (talk) 20:23, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Bottom line: if you want to make the family guy pages the most accurate and functional pages possible this is the option. no reason to use inferior method which causes double work of entering the same info twice. its as simple as thatGrande13 (talk) 20:26, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

it should only be switched back after being discussed if you really must promote having an inferior method, and after all the columns are correct, as its currently missing season ep#. Dont switch back though yetGrande13 (talk) 20:30, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

there isnt much different between this

Season Test: 1

# Total Title Directed by Written by Original airdate Prod. code
11"Road to Multiverse"UnknownUnknownSeptember 26, 20101ACX01
22"Road to Multiverse"UnknownUnknownSeptember 26, 20101ACX01

and this

Season Test: 2

# Total Title Original airdate Prod. code
11"Road to Multiverse"September 26, 20101ACX01
22"Road to Multiverse"September 26, 20101ACX01

and if we use the version with the directors in it then the pages can be connected and have the benefit of always being the same as each other which is what we want Grande13 (talk) 20:38, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Re:Lisa

I realise it's frustrating, but I only have a bit of time each night, and I use that time to check through my watch list and update articles. I wish I ahd more time as there are a bunch of projects I'd like to work on. I'll try to take a look through your sandbox in a bit. -- Scorpion0422 00:25, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

I took a quick look through, and you've added some good stuff. I noticed that the influence section tends to repeat a lot of stuff from other sections. I would like there to be such a section, but it should if there isn't enough content for it to work as a stand-alone section, then I don't know if there is a need for it. -- Scorpion0422 00:38, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

It's essential that you get a good copyeditor to look over the article. Cirt and Dabomb87 are both great reviewers. Scartol is an excellent copyeditor who has worked on Simpsons articles in the past for us, though he may not have time for it. -- Scorpion0422 00:42, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

In two weeks the semester will be over and I'll be on Christmas vacation. I don't know if you want to wait that long, but at that point I can help you a lot more than I can now. -- Scorpion0422 00:46, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

I'm happy to do a copyedit on Lisa Simpson, since she's so important and awesome. However, I don't have time to offer more thorough reviews of content, which is what you seem to be requesting. (To be honest, the stuff in your sandbox looks at first glance to be just like what's on the main article.) Please let me know when you're out of the sandbox stage and closer to FAC. Peter Griffin

Hi again, I happen to watch the Peter Griffin article and noticed your edits, I'm sorry but they're not very good. You need to cite each sentence, use italics for tv shows, films and books and use quotation marks for song titles and episode titles. You expanded the reception section with things mostly from IGN, which only pass-on mention the character; my advice is to stick to direct criticisms or positive responses. Personality should be a seperate section. I have to go now, I'll finish this later. (I don't meen to be mean).--Music26/11 15:52, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

Music, I don't think your revert is much better. First the infobox is more clogged up, I think we know Meg is a girls name and hence his daughter, and Chris and Stewie are his sons. Why would we list any of his countless cutaway jobs? He has 3 jobs that need to be mentioned, Toy inspector, fisherman, and brewery clerk. I'll agree not all the edits you reverted were made worse, a lot were made better. Also this edit summary is neither constructive, nor assuming good faith. CTJF83 chat 17:37, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
I agree with you, my apologies. I cut out most of the crappy stuff I was talking about above, but there were a few things that made the article better that got removed with my revert. The thing is, I think the article is not ready for GAn by a long shot mostly because there is a lot of referencing stuff that needs to be done. I won't remove it, but I think pedro should. I do agree that there are only three significant jobs by the way ;). Cheerio.--Music26/11 18:02, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
Let me leave some comments, well music i now you are the main edoirt of the artical, but you must admit i did improve it, in the reception bcase look at thease examples Phineas Flynn, Ferb Fletcher The reception you got(no mean to offense) is very small plus it is reception, IGN is a good source and it is good info, i have been working on Lisa Simposn which has helped a lot compared to the other crappy characters i have done, lets do this(I propose) lets leave it like before but you can ictalize it at your wish and lets see what happens i mean admit it of all th FG charcaters he looks the best, do you agree (you two ctjf you commented now your part of it);)LuCk--Pedro J. the rookie 18:46, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

Re:Check it

Well, it could definitely use a copyedit, first off. The reception section (which I believe is the most controversial one from the complaints) does stray from Peter himself, but for the most part it's fine. Might want to remove the stuff about awards the series got that have actually nothing to do with him. Also might be good to mention the (I think) three or so awards Seth has been nominated for for voicing Peter. You also need to italicize movies and books, and put quotes around episodes. That's all. Oh, and yes, I have access to one of the Phineas and Ferb DVDs, why? Cheers, The Flash {talk} 04:24, 27 November 2009 (UTC)

Oh, well IDK about that. There's not much out there; the press release is all I got, I'm not even sure if there's any reviews out there (it wasn't on any DVD) Here's a review for the soundtrack, including the song featured in the episode. Sorry, though. The Flash {talk} 18:39, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, "S'Winter." I noticed your sandbox while checking to see if you responded to the above on this page. ;) The Flash {talk} 18:45, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
lol, Sorry for spoiling it. Good luck with the article :) The Flash {talk} 18:53, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
lol, Thanks. I'm not sure how I did it, really, I just had the info and knew what to do with it. Oh, and sorry about "S'Winter," like I said, when it's not on DVD, it's kind of hard to find info on it. The Flash {talk} 15:58, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
Like I believe I mentioned a while back, I'm not familiar with PR and would not be sure how to handle it. I might be able to get to it, nonetheless. The Flash {talk} 21:09, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
Actually, I do not believe it should be created yet. There's about no info at all, plus a lot of it is copied from "Flop Starz." Sorry, but I'm afraid this article is probably not to be. :( The Flash {talk} 05:20, 29 November 2009 (UTC)

You are the nominator of the above stated article, so I am informing you that there is currently a {{citation needed}} tag which needs to be addressed. Cleanup tags are not part of the good article criteria and can even warrant quick-fail on a good article review. I would hate to see a great amount of work gone waste, just because of one tag. As well, you should address the issue as soon as possible as the article is now on the Good Article Backlog and will be reviewed very shortly. warrior4321 06:07, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
