As I'm seeing this now by chance: That would be much appreciated: sv:Wikipediadiskussion:Översättningsfrågor#Korrigering av enkäten. :-) I thought that a bad translation would be better than no Swedish translation at all, so I tried my very best (only having sv-1). I must admit I had to change language from Swedish to English to be sure to understand it (though I probably would have got pretty much everything it wanted to say even if I hadn't had access to an English version), so I'm not sure it's a good idea to link to the survey in Swedish until the text has been proofed – almost all active users on Wikipedia can read English without problem and as a general rule we prefer en-N to sv-1 or sv-2, so to speak. And, just to be perfectly clear: having some kind of Swedish translation is certainly better than not having one, should a user for some reason be uncomfortable with English. SoC 2012 / Development for Wikinews[edit]

Hey there!

I hope a few other Wikinewsies have noted the highlighting of the survey; it wasn't until shortly after completing it that bawolff (whose done a lot of the gadget work for Wikinews) suggested I chase up on mw:Summer of Code 2012 regarding some of the much-needed development for Wikinews.

I know that's something I should probably take up with Fabrice, but I get the distinct impression he's swamped with efforts to "subvert" the feedback tool into a recruitment tool. Anyway, with a picture worth a thousand words, I've documented our current review setup, and some of the issues, as sub-pages of my MediaWiki userpage. If I knew who would: (i) Find this most-interesting, (b) Pick apart the workflow with a view to breaking into codable requirements, and (c) Have time to do so—or at least enthuse a GSoC student to do so—I'd be bugging them instead of you. If you know who, point and I'll shoot. ;-)

Incidentally, if you deal with legal stuff, I hope you got to see my emails regarding misuse of the Wikinews mark, and going after cybersquatted domains. The exchange with Michelle suggest she at least found it most amusing. --Brian McNeil /^talk 17:02, 9 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, your description of the Wikinews workflow is very detailed! Sumanah would know if there are any GSoC students who are looking for a project.
