Exernal links

In Jnuary you removed a link I'd added to Deep Space Homer, because "it seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia".

However, the guideline you pointed to, Wikipedia:External links, is clear that "This guideline concerns external links that are not citations to sources supporting article content"

Since the link you removed was a citation to a source supporting the article content, it looks like you made a mistake.

This is unfortunate, because removing the citation has allowed the inclusion of incorrect content.

The article in question now claims that Deep Space Homer originated the idiom, rather than (as the reference showed) being the proximate source.

I'm not going to rewrite the article. Since you did the damage, I invite you to correct it.

Not done Perhaps WP:EL is not the best guideline (you received a generic warn), but in this case your addition was not an external link, it was added as reference. Please refer to WP:IRS for further information why knowyourmeme.com is not reliable. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 23:53, 6 March 2013 (UTC)

The drop of water which made the vase overflow

Axel, this editor is really trying my patience. First he does this. And now he claims that I have lowered Wikipedia's quality across the board. He questions the GAs I have worked on simply because not even Diana Ross or Jennifer Lopez's main articles are GA's . This is the limit. I have had enough. RE: Kevin Harvick edit war

Hi TBHotch. Just a 'heads up' I went ahead and alerted the Administrator noticeboard about the IP user who persists in adding the subjective info to the Harvick article. Requested a block too. Not sure if I did it correctly (first timer at that) so if you want to double-check that would be awesome. The IP clearly seems to have a pattern of misbehavior and needs schooled IMHO. Editing "Martin Drolling" article

Hello Tbhotch. This is my first time using the "Talk" page so I am apologizing in advance if I made a mistake. Thank you for your messages. Obviously, I am quite new at editing a Wikipedia article. I did not see your first message regarding the use of the "Sandbox" tool for practice. I shall remember to use it next time. In response to your second message, I was trying to fix the editing mistakes I made. I did not know that editing a link to a graphic/image will cause the link to break and the image to disappear. I did not realize that my attempts to fix my mistakes were seen as "disruptive editing" or "vandalism." There was no harm intended and apologies for the clumsiness. Next time, I shall be more careful with my edits. Kind regards. --Intellochic (talk) 04:20, 20 March 2013 (UTC)

Re: DYK question

I would recommend you submit your intended DYK nomination today. There is a good chance that no one will look at the nomination for several days, providing you with several additional days to work on expansion. Even after an initial review, nominations with fixable issues (insufficient expansion is clearly a fixable issue as long as additional published information about the article subject exists) are almost always given a week or more for needed corrections. The normal practice being that nominations with problems are not rejected as long as reasonable progress is being made to correct the problems.

In the future you might want to consider working in a user subpage. This will allow you to work without worrying about completing your work in five days. When the new article is ready to be moved into the article namespace you can either copy the new article into place (this option is only usable if you are the only person who worked on the expansion) or by requesting a history merge of the new article with the existing. --Allen3 talk 21:40, 30 March 2013 (UTC)

Hi Tbhotch, Thanks again for your help with removing the unsourced edits on the Motion Picture Association of America article, and for your guidance about COI issues on my talk. The Fame Monster

May I ask where the consensus is? I've looked through the archives and see arguing that really didn't reach a conclusion. I know a couple of months ago, The Fame Monster was not listed under the discography section. A link would be ideal. Thanks. AlexB531 (talk) 01:55, 10 April 2013 (UTC)

Umm, yes on a few occasions, the last time I looked at the page, The Fame monster was not listed there, so I must have visited the page on one of the revisions I linked to. I did in fact do a talk page archive search of "The Fame Monster" to find the consensus discussion in question, I missed it in the many different talk page discussions that came up in the results, so calling my effort to search "not very well" is a little ridiculous. I don't understand why you felt the need to have an attitude with me when I just asked you a simple question of clarification, not everyone has been on Wikipedia as long as you have and I think you forget that it's hard to pinpoint a consensus discussion (that you do not even know about for that matter) from over two years ago. That notice on the page isn't even there anymore, so I don't see how that was relevant to link to. AlexB531 (talk) 23:54, 10 April 2013 (UTC)

Can you watch the rise against articles, a user named Geragrrt keeps removing sourced genres and adding post-hardcore without sources, he did once but allmusic tags are unreliable, only reviews by them are.

Random user 1085

If you wish to have their socks (IPs or users) blocked on sight, locate admins who dealt with this user, like myself, and just post on their talk. I have set Special:AbuseFilter/465 and can email you the code (it is rather simple). The filter worked, but then I became too lazy to tweak and monitor it. The filter currently targets only some IP ranges, no registered users. Materialscientist (talk) 05:25, 14 April 2013 (UTC)

The filter is very primitive in selecting what changes should be stopped, and thus largely relies on our knowledge of his IP ranges. It stops the edit and reports the IP to AIV after one edit. It worked first (back in May 2012, it is still active), but then Random user 1085 figured out that he should register accounts. It will be trickier to filter accounts without causing collateral damage (no, filters can't see IPs of accounts). I'll think about coding. Materialscientist (talk) 05:46, 14 April 2013 (UTC)

Response to your comments on the Beyoncé talk page

Look, it's not my intention to out anybody for any problems they might have outside of Wikipedia. I actually think you're pretty gifted as an editor but that paragraph attacking me ("you cannot work with others and cannot collaborate as it should be desired"), after your note on my talk page for something that GOCE would also agree with me on (you never got back about that), and telling me that I haven't edited enough is absurd and, gets personal. Is it a contest? I've been on here 2 years longer than you, who cares? And as far as what I don't do right, stick to specific issues, make sure they haven't yet been addressed, don't just make some blanket statement about my style. I'll have you know, "the attacked" defend themselves quite well, you see it on-screen, you don't need to do it for them. I know you're all friends, but you really have to make some room in your head for others. It's Wikipedia: Anyone theoretically should be able to make constructive edits. --Aichik (talk) 00:42, 23 April 2013 (UTC)

American Godzilla Redirect

I am truly sorry if my edit redirecting American Godzilla and its talk page to Zilla (which both are about the exact same topic, which makes the American Godzilla page an unecessary clone) seemed unproductive, but many people agree to wanting that page redirected, more than the people who wanted the page renamed originally. It wouldn't harm anyone, and if you read the previously mentioned talk page, you can see they want the page redirected. Please, do respond as soon as possible, and allow the page to be renamed. Thank you very much. 493Titanollante (talk) 04:19, 1 May 2013 (UTC)

I read your "Level 2 warning", and I do not understand why it was reverted. If it had copyrighted material, should that not mean that the American Godzilla page where I got the content from contains copyright? If that is so, it is not my fault in any way. In that case, the "copyrighted content" can always be removed and not nonsensically reverted. Please, do clarify these strange and nonsensical automated reverts as soon as possible. 493Titanollante (talk) 04:26, 1 May 2013 (UTC)

Requested move

The American Godzilla's talk page has people supporting it to be moved back to Zilla, as it is shown in two sections, one called Needs to be moved back to Zilla and another called Two Pages. It isn't my fault that people want it to be moved back. 493Titanollante (talk) 04:30, 1 May 2013 (UTC)

Hi Tbhotch,

I actually have a book called Inside Oscar: The Unofficial History of the Academy Awards which although is not endorsed by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences itself, is a very exhaustive look behind the Oscars including the pre-Oscar movie season, the nominations and campaign buildup, behind the scenes production work, the actual Oscar ceremony (including presenters and performers), and the aftermath. It was written by Damien Bona. I could use the information as a source for several Academy Awards articles.

BTW, could you endorse my 84th Academy Awards for Featured List soon?Birdienest81 (talk) 02:19, 2 May 2013 (UTC)

Help! (IP from Guatemala related)

I need help dealing with the IPs from Guatemala that are still linking dates to Latin album pages and changing track lengths. The first IPs are under a range block for six months, but the IPs are somehow block evading are still disrupting. The first I reported the block evasion, it resulted in a different IP range block for three days, but the activity has resumed upon the expiration of the block. While I've reported again at ANI, it's tiring reverting all the mess the IP has made and it doesn't help s/he ignores all the warnings previously given to him/her. A part of me thinks that the IPs don't speak English, but that doesn't excuse the block evasions. Sorry to bother you, but it's irritating me to no end, especially when s/he does something to change the IP address. Erick (talk) 06:43, 4 May 2013 (UTC)

The most common pages the edits are the Enrique Iglesias, Ricky Martin, Luis Miguel, and Juanes album and song pages. I think lost my temper last night and that has never happened to me before in Wikipedia. The IPs keep changing so it gets hard to keep up. Erick (talk) 19:33, 4 May 2013 (UTC)

Wow, you've a very blinged out user page! :  } Now what was I...

...Oh, yeah, I've a suggestion/request. Awhile back I preserved a skeletal fragment of what had been a poorly written article that had usurped a name redirect page. It's not really within an area of strong interest or expertise for me but I'd hate to see it die without someone skilled giving it a moment of consideration. The article is Hoshen (Israeli LGBT Organization). Seems relevant enough to warrant a place within Wikipedia's robust GLBT database. Thought it might be of interest to you or, if not, that you might know someone to pass it on to. --Kevjonesin (talk) 22:14, 4 May 2013 (UTC)

Indicud

Hey there, I saw you recently graded the article Indicud a B. I noticed you have experience with GAs and as the top contributor of the page, I was wondering what advice you could give me on anything I would need to do to the article, before nominating the article for good article status. Is there anything that jumps out to you that needs cleaning up on the page that I should address? I do not plan on nominating it for awhile at least, but the information would be helpful, you can get back to me whenever you have the chance. STATic message me! 00:02, 5 May 2013 (UTC)

Yeah I was planning to wait a couple months before nominating it to give it time to sit and more information to become available. All those issues you pointed out seem to have already been resolved, especially about unsourced info as I like to pride myself on always making sure WP:V is followed in Wikipedia. I was more concerned with possible MOS or other things I might be missing, then things such as references, which I do not think there are any bare ones left in the article. STATic message me! 01:09, 5 May 2013 (UTC)

Well thanks for taking time to give me a few pointers, hopefully in a couple months it'll pass GA review. Cheers, STATic message me! 05:23, 5 May 2013 (UTC)

Brandy Norwood

According to IMDB, she is credited with her full name and stage name over the years, including recent ones. "Brandy Norwood" was used in 1997 and is still used this year. I can't make her disambiguated by parenthesis since "Norwood" is available and possible as a natural disambiguation. Also, the surname "Norwood" is added fairly often, so I cannot propose it as you please. --George Ho (talk) 01:56, 10 May 2013 (UTC)

Musical Genres

I saw you gave User:Tombowell097 a warning for changing musical genres. He recently changed, Bono's infobox adding R&B, as I know the fact that an artist had recorded 2 or 3 songs in a different genre doesn't mean that he represents the genre. Can I undo the edit by this User??Thanks and Cheers! What?

I like how on my talk page, I just noticed you told me not to add poorly referenced material to a "living persons" page, and then said "such as I did on the Michael Jackson page"..... This was 1/2013.... I'll let you figure out what is wrong with that nice suggestion you gave me.Zdawg1029 (talk) 03:10, 30 March 2013 (UTC)

Last time I checked, there was 4 big news entities in the United States; NBC News, ABC News, CNN & FOX News. FOX News, a new agency that has been cited countless times on this website, ran the story about her being Michael Jackson's half-sister. You are holding the "burden of proof" to unrealistic measures. There are thousands of people's pages on Wikipedia with their children being listed. Did Wikipedia do a DNA test on every single one of these children listed on the website? Because according to you, that is the only proof good enough for the standards of Wikipedia, or at least the only proof good enough for Michael Jackson's page. And yeah, the fact that Katherine Jackson wrote about Joh' Vonnie in her book is beyond enough evidence, at least it would be in everyone's eyes but you I guess, but it is beyond enough evidence of this woman's relation to this family. Oh not to mention the fact there are red carpet pictures of her with Joe Jackson. So I guess I will run all over Wikipedia and make sure there was a DNA test run to verify every child actually belongs to whoever that page is about, because after all, that is the standard of evidence you are holding this to. You have to be one of the most stubborn, blind people I have ever run into on Wikipedia. And by the way, I have seen People magazine cited on this website several times as well, so I'm not sure what your point is there. I am aware Wikipedia is not a gossip page, but this is not gossip, this is a fact backed by the very people in the family, you're the only one that is blind to this. I think this is just about you wanting to be "right" rather then putting the truth. And you're right, it should be listed on all 9 siblings Wiki pages, because she is a half-sister to all 9 siblings. Everyone in the world see's this but you. Now excuse me while I verify if all these DNA tests were run by Wikipedia.Zdawg1029 (talk) 01:27, 13 May 2013 (UTC)

Updating MPAA "History" section

Hi Tbhotch, Just wanted to let you know that I'm continuing to work on drafting new sections for the MPAA article that you previously helped with. I've recently posted a new draft of the "History" section over at Talk:MPAA, but it doesn't look as if anyone has had a chance to look at it yet. I'm especially concerned about getting this section updated, since (as I mentioned on the MPAA talk page before) the version in the current article contains quite a bit of plagiarism. If you have a chance to go take a look and provide feedback, I'd certainly appreciate it. Thanks! MPAA Kyle (talk) 22:13, 17 May 2013 (UTC)

Hey Tbhotch, Thanks so much for taking a look at the updates I proposed to the "History" section for the MPAA article. I've now replied to you and Betty Logan over at Talk:MPAA. Thanks! MPAA Kyle (talk) 16:41, 20 May 2013 (UTC)

Glassheart Tour

Please can you explain your comments "consistency is necessary"? Right now I see that the concert page style guide according to WP:CONCERT does not have a style that concert tours are supposed to follow. How is reverting a WP:ACCESS (which is also part of the manual of style) change (which even if you disagree with the placement of dates, instead of removing the HTML classes you could have just reordered the table). How is this an effective way to edit when editors are outright reverting a change that helps visually impaired editors and those who use screen readers view a page more effectively? The HTML classes i.e. !scope="row" and !scope="col" provide Data granularity. You talk of creating a standard... how can a standard be created if editors are not WP:BOLD in their edits trying to establish a more effective way to standardise pages. The choice of including the city first is part of readability in the same way that in WP:DISCOGSTYLE the most accessible format was to have the song name before dates. The decision to include the same principle at Glassheart Tour is not detrimental to an able editor's understanding of the page but the removal of the HTML classing is detrimental to how a a screen reader reads the page. At the very least editors should have left this in place even if the ordering of the table was disputed. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 19:09, 19 May 2013 (UTC)

You completely misunderstand... Accessibility stretches to people beyond colorblindness. !scope="row" and !scope="col" has nothing to do with colorblind people. They make things bold because that's the embedded HTML classes that wikipedia is built on... their purpose is that when read by screen reader technology they tell the reader to emphasise the first column as the identification of a new row. The idea is the screen reader reads the column titles with emphasis e.g. "COUNTRY", then each row reads the first entry with emphasis. At the very least these formattings should have been left even if people disagree with the order of the tables. Why do you think tables in single and album articles nearly all now follow access guidelines and use the scope markup? Many thousands of GAs use the scope mark-up. As the project does not have a style guide its extremely difficult for someone to turn around and fail an article claiming that it doesn't follow a set standard. Different clusters of editors will layout the concert pages in different ways e.g. section titles and content. What's telling here is that editors are reverting based on an ideal that other articles don't use the markup when the mark-up itself is part of the manual of style and its generally accepted that more often than not the mark-up is a useful change. It does little to harm yours or my visual/understanding of the article but does a lot to help those who use technology that reads the page for them. The bolding can be removed as seen at Trouble (Leona Lewis song) where "plainrowheaders" is used in the HTML class. This edit was not about the visual appearance, its physically the actual HTML mark-up!!! — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 19:35, 19 May 2013 (UTC)
WP:CONCERT is project, WP:ACCESS is part of a manual of style. I think its silly that I being asked to gain consensus for something which is already in the Manual of Style. MOS overrides projects. I'm disappointed that you haven't presented a coherent argument for not even the basic HTML classes should be applied. (btw dont worry this isn't personal. I still think you're a cool editor) — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 20:21, 19 May 2013 (UTC)

Hey Tbhotch, Why did you undid my contribution on Political Carrer of John C. Breckindge? What gives you the right to do that? I have a master in U.S. History and I know and have sources that John C. Revolver critic, etc.

From: WP:LINKSTOAVOID "Blogs, personal web pages and most fansites, except those written by a recognized authority. (This exception for blogs, etc., controlled by recognized authorities is meant to be very limited; as a minimum standard, recognized authorities always meet Wikipedia's notability criteria for people.)"

Liftmoduleinterface (talk) 20:59, 26 May 2013 (UTC)

"There is no real reason to remove a link to include a less known music critic than Rolling Stone."

There are quite a few real reasons. There is already a review from the Rolling Stone, including their opinion twice is redundant and un-needed, and adding new critics increases the diversity of information presented within the article, allowing for users to read a less biased page.

"If you are not the IP user, please explain me the probability two different people in the world adding the same content, the same day, in a few hours. In my experience the probability of having two different persons, if we consider you haven't edited in seven months, is extremely low."

This is unabashed paranoia that is unfounded and without evidence, not to mention http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anecdotal. As for the possibility of someone lurking more than editing and noticing that a page for the Beatles, one of the largest bands of all time, and not just any page, but what is considered one of their most popular albums as well... Doesn't seem very strange at all. Liftmoduleinterface (talk) 21:07, 26 May 2013 (UTC)

My first edit

I edited a post on medicinal uses for garlic and added that in the middle ages it was used to ward off vampires, this is entirely accurate. Yet you blocked it, twice in fact.

Grace Park

Does not bother me either way, but I found your comment on your last edit amusing. You do know that children born in the United States are American citizens (unless they are born to diplomats) even if the parents are not citizens, right? And she can qualify as a dual-citizen for both Canada and the US. Like I said, does not affect me one way or another: I just have her article on my watchlist because I think she's, and I sure don't know the WP rules on this point. Thanks! I knew at least one user would complain about some revert I made to the 67.84.73.254 (talk · contribs). To be frank, I don't know if their edits are valid or correct. If you believe their edits were correct, revert me. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 03:13, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
I will not revert because I am not familiar with WP rules in this case. I am sure that a senior editor will make a correction if there is one to be made. Or someone with a good source. Thanks! Raul17 (talk) 03:57, 6 June 2013 (UTC)

Reply

Hello, I'm Fantastische. I'd just removed the content which you restored because I couldn't understand the reason why We Can't Stop was nominated for deletion. But after seeing your message on my talk page, I've checked the article for deletion, and seen that you said : "Fails WP:NSONGS. I'm not going to deny the song will become notable after it is released as all Cyrus' previous songs, but this song was revealed today 18 May and it will be released on 11 June. Unless this song passes WP:GNG the next three weeks (and I'm not refering to all probable sources that will say '"We Can't Stop" will be Cyrus next single", or Tweets published by her about the song), is clearly a non-notable article.". But now it was released as Cyrus's official single (and on June 3, not 11), how could this page become deleted and automatically redirected to Miley Cyrus. At the moment, We Can't Stop is created but by someone else, and it's not informative like I'd written. Sorry if I've done something wrong with Wiki rules, because of the limitation of my English. Thank you.

Thanks for saving me! (2016-06-06)

Olmec Page

Hello Tbhotch,

I'm responding to your message and request to post on your talk page.

As a Native American, I respect and value all your contributions to Wikipedia. I just want to add the photo I took at the Tuxteco Regional Museum Santiago Tuxtla, Veracruz to the Olmec site. It is published on the commons and free for anyone to see. How do we get the image up there following all of your rules? I just would like to add the authentic Olmec head photo to the Olmec site where it belongs. This head is the most phenomenal, I can tell because everyone is making such a fuss over it. Here is a version of the photo I took without the text - if the text was bothering you:

File:Olmec head.jpg

If you can add it to the Olmec page for me - following all your rules, I would appreciate it. That would certainly be better than battling with you forever - since you obviously spend 99% of your time on Wikipedia.

Good luck in school & thank you for your Native American contributions.

WikiProject Good Articles Recruitment Centre

Hello! Now, some of you might have already received a similar message a little while ago regarding the Recruitment Centre, so if you have, there is no need to read the rest of this. This message is directed to users who have reviewed over 15 Good article nominations and are not part of WikiProject Good articles (the first message I sent out went to only WikiProject members).

So for those who haven't heard about the Recruitment Centre yet, you may be wondering why there is a Good article icon with a bunch of stars around it (to the right). The answer? WikiProject Good articles will be launching a Recruitment Centre very soon! The centre will allow all users to be taught how to review Good article nominations by experts just like you! However, in order for the Recruitment Centre to open in the first place, we need some volunteers:

  • Recruiters: The main task of a recruiter is to teach users that have never reviewed a Good article nomination how to review one. To become a recruiter, all you have to do is meet this criteria. If we don't get at least 5-10 recruiters to start off with (at the time this message was sent out, 2 recruiters have volunteered), the Recruitment Centre will not open. If interested, make sure you meet the criteria, read the process and add your name to the list of recruiters. (One of the great things about being a recruiter is that there is no set requirement of what must be taught and when. Instead, all the content found in the process section is a guideline of the main points that should be addressed during a recruitment session...you can also take an entire different approach if you wish!) If you think you will not have the time to recruit any users at this time but are still interested in becoming a recruiter, you can still add your name to the list of recruiters but just fill in the "Status" parameter with "Not Available".
  • Co-Director: The current Director for the centre is me (Dom497). Another user that would be willing to help with some of the tasks would be helpful. Tasks include making sure recruiters are doing what they should be (teaching!), making sure all recruitments are archived correctly, updating pages as needed, answering any questions, and distributing the feedback form. If interested, please contact me (Dom497).
  • Nominators, please read this: If you are not interested in becoming a recruiter, you can still help. In some cases a nominator may have an issue with an "inexperienced" editor (the recruitee) reviewing one of their nominations. To minimize the chances of this happening, if you are fine with a recruitee reviewing one of your nominations under the supervision of the recruiter, please add your name to the list at the bottom of this page. By adding your name to this list, chances are that your nomination will be reviewed more quickly as the recruitee will be asked to choose a nomination from the list of nominators that are OK with them reviewing the article.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to seeing this program bring new reviewers to the Good article community and all the positive things it will bring along.

A message will be sent out to all recruiters regarding the date when the Recruitment Centre will open when it is determined. The message will also contain some further details to clarify things that may be a bit confusing.--Dom497 (talk)

If I'm reading this correctly your RM would probably be closed with no action, because the items discussed already seem to reside at the titles most people prefer. The all-lower-case name links to the film per the separate now-closed RM, and the all-upper-case version links to La Jaula de Oro (album). Do you think there is anything more to do here? If you are unhappy with BDD's close you could contact him. If I don't hear anything to the contrary I'm planning to close your RM with no action. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 17:41, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

Robert Wadlow Talk

Thanks and OK for reverting my edit on the Robert Wadlow Talk page. Without going back far enough in the history, I had assumed someone else had vandalized the original entry. Now I realize it was like that to begin with. Alandeus (talk) 07:18, 17 June 2013 (UTC)

?

How can you say that my editions are disruptive?! --Raúl Romero (talk) 20:04, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

WHAT?

IT WAS AN ERROR i made that page in fact. so i didint want to delete it but i was thinking that i was putting that in the album page! --Raúl Romero (talk) 22:26, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

*Sigh*

Guess what? The IP editor from Guatemala is back. Case in in point, Nunca Voy a Olvidarte. Erick (talk) 03:56, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, Diannaa did. Worst part was that the IP was doing this while I was in middle of class so I had to ask someone revert the IPs edit while I was gone. Well that's taken of, for now. Erick (talk) 07:04, 21 June 2013 (UTC)

Airdrieonians F.C.

As a result of the page move from Airdrie United F.C. to Airdrieonians F.C. most of the links are hitting the wrong target as most links to Airdrionians should actually link to Airdrieonians F.C. (1878). Personally didn't think this was a good move and has left a real mess. I want to fix this but is there a tool that finds all the links and gives you an option to change without having to go through a whole page to find the link yourself.Blethering Scot 19:30, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

Stop impulsively adding unsourced tag

I'm adding the sources, but you are adding unsourced tags. You have to specify which ones are unsourced, or this is vandalism on your part by impulsively and without specifying which sentence are unsourced. I think your right as administrator should be revoked over this unsourced template abuse. 08:03, 24 June 2013 (UTC)

Sofia Climate

Why do you keep reverting to the old outdated content? The climate data that I am putting are more actual, precise and up-to-date. And why are you stating that it is unsourced? It is sourced. Please check more carefully.

Book citations

I have a book about the Oscars that I would like to cite. How can I cite multiple pages from one souce like you did for the 1st Academy Awards?Birdienest81 (talk) 20:00, 24 June 2013 (UTC)

Nowiki tags

Hey TBhotch. If you're out on R.C. patrol, and happen to see random nowiki tags as part of edits (especially with wikilink edits [4]), they're probably a bug with VE, rather than vandalism. Thanks for cleaning them up, we're trying to catch as many as we can. PEarley (WMF) (talk) 21:16, 28 June 2013 (UTC)

Revolver (album)

Why this is consensus and this is not? Also, do you had idea that WP:PDAB is being discussed at WT:D?Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 01:13, 29 June 2013 (UTC)

Tbhotch, I believe my closing rationale was clear enough. Basically the only reason those opposing the Revolver move raised for why the move shouldn't take place is that the move would inconvenience readers (whoever they may be) going to Revolver (album) and finding themselves atRevolver (disambiguation), despite them most likely wanting the album by the Beatles. As I said in the closing statement, this reason doesn't make sense. If Revolver (album) redirects to Revolver (The Beatles album), as it does after this move, that rationale fails. If there was any other reason the move shouldn't take place, it wasn't mentioned during the discussion.
I see you (and a few other editors) are furious that the WP:PDAB was closed the way it was. "How can thirteen editors dictate policy?" "How is 7-5 consensus?" I do not need to answer those questions, and I don't need to answer the question you raised here. It is not my position to decide that I didn't like the way EdJohnston closed that other discussion and ignore it. And neither is it yours. While I'm hesitant to validate a sudden wave of move requests in accordance with WP:PDAB, you're going to need to do better if you want to stop them. Otherwise, your points will come across as thinly veiled disgust toward the VP closure. If the WP:PDAB is eventually reversed, only then I might reconsider. In the meantime, I'm not acting on your and B2C's indignation. -- tariqabjotu 02:09, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
