FYI

Hello Zoozaz1. Thanks for your recent contributions on Haitian elections. Just an FYI, the election year templates are only supposed to include popular elections (i.e. elections with a public vote). The 1930 presidential election (and the February 2016 one) were not public votes, so shouldn't be included. There have been numerous non-popular elections of presidents in Haiti's history (this source mentions 1908, 1913, 1914, March 1915, August 1915, 1922, 1926, April 1930, November 1930, 1941 and 1946 alone). I think it might be better to have an article Indirect presidential elections in Haiti to cover them all, rather than having very short articles (with little potential for expansion) on each one. I'd be happy to help write this article with you if you were interested. Cheers, Number 57 09:59, 3 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Also, some of the indirect presidential elections usually occur shortly after the parliamentary elections, so can be detailed in the articles (I've added mention of Vincent's election to 1930 Haitian parliamentary election). Number 57 10:11, 3 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I think that would be a good idea to create an article about indirect elections separately. We could start researching from the French period and work on it intermittently.

Hello, Zoozaz1. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, Draft:1930 Haitian presidential election.

Teahouse

Hey Zoozaz1. You recently answered a question at the Teahouse titled "Wikipedia Entry - How To Question". The user was asking how to create an autobiography. This is different than a normal article, so we would not point them towards WP:BASIC. Instead, we would explain that per WP:YOURSELF, this is very strongly discouraged, and per WP:FAMOUS, it might not even be in their interest to have an article. I do sincerely appreciate your willingness to help new editors, but I would suggest that make sure you know the relevant policies first before answering questions on the Teahouse. Thanks so much, Hillelfrei talk 17:50, 19 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, thank you for correcting me. I forgot about the autobiography policy. (although either way the user would still need to pass WP:BASIC) Zoozaz1 talk 17:50, 19 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Update

Hi Zoozaz1 -

Re your latest round of feedback on Talk:Northwestern_Mutual#cite_note-57

I believe I have addressed the points you suggested:

  • Removed specifics on dividends
  • Changed reference to ratings and removed specific ratings
  • Edited About/Operations sections to address wording so it isn't a copy

Please let me know if the overall proposed changes can now be integrated into the actual article.

Thank you for working with me on this.

draft barbary city states

my draft https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Barbary_city-states I've removed the copyrighted sections and redid much of the article. And I've also redone the periplus section. Would you care to have a look and point out what needs to change or delete the parts that shouldn't be there.Yacoob316 (talk) 22:50, 7 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Yacoob316:That's a start, but much of the content in the Market Towns section is also copied from other wikipedia articles, while much of the Geography section is copied straight from the cited source. The problem is that once you delete all of the copyrighted material, the article mainly just recounts sections of the Periplus, which violates WP:PRIMARY which states to " not base an entire article on primary sources, and be cautious about basing large passages on them." Zoozaz1 (talk) 00:04, 8 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

sorry I think i posted in your talk page without signing in anyhow would you want to view my article I've deleted all the copyright violation and I have added more essential sources to the article ideally now it ought to be fine and in the case, it isn't would you mind to see and ensure there aren't any infringements it will be greatly valued and thank you for your help.Yacoob316 (talk) 18:21, 10 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

In the market town section some of the material is copied from Wikipedia, and Wikipedia is not a reliable source. Zoozaz1 (talk) 18:52, 10 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I've included some secondary sources and improved the market town section I don't think there are other issues with the article should I feel free to submit Yacoob316 (talk) 00:14, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It's an improvement and it isn't a copyright violation anymore, so I would feel free to submit it. That said, it isn't a guarantee that it will be accepted. I generally don't rereview articles that I reviewed once because it's best to have a fresh pair of eyes look at it so it might take some time to get reviewed (there are almost 3000 articles in the backlog). Draft:Explosive Removal and Destruction Service (EOD) (Belgium)

Hi ZOOZAZI, Thanks, I have found 2 more references from the BBC, one of which is a behind the Scenes look at DEVO-SEEDE, it also informs of the role of the unit and shows the EOD Chemical disposal plant, and at the start it shows the unit insignia I described in my draft.

For your considerations,

Kind regards,

The references are a good start, but you should read WP:N and WP:42 and make sure that every statement in the article is supported by a reliable source. I have represented my article in more encyclopedic way and removed many peacock terms. I have also given the English translation. Please review my article. Link for the article is "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Chandrakant_Devtale".Kavyansh.Singh (talk) 04:11, 31 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Kavyansh.Singh, You have improved the tone of the article, so that as much of an issue. The problem is I don't know Hindi at all, so I can't really evaluate if the sources are reliable or contribute to notability (even though I can see a machine translation, that doesn't help in determining if the source is reliable). I will note that youtube is generally not a reliable source. Zoozaz1 (talk) 04:27, 31 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

How to determine sponsored content - Draft:Thai-German Institute

I am trying to improve my article citation skills. In my draft article for the Thai-German Institute, I used citations from one of the major Thai English newspapers (there are only a few English newspapers here in Thailand). Specifically, you said that this article https://www.bangkokpost.com/business/1129637/ministry-to-set-up-fund-to-help-startups and this article https://www.bangkokpost.com/learning/advanced/1130000/venture-capital-fund-for-startups-in-key-sectors were sponsored content. I just want to know how to determine that newspaper articles like those are sponsored content so that I don't add anymore citations like that. There was another article https://www.bangkokpost.com/business/1348187/tgis-role-in-robotics-cluster that clearly says it is sponsored content with no attributed newspaper correspondent given credit. So, I see that one and won't use those types of citations anymore. Thank you for your time. --Ian Korman (talk) 02:47, 3 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

IanKorman, Thanks for pointing out my mistake. I accidentally put those in the section on non-independent sources, but I meant to put them in the section of non-significant coverage of the Insitute. I'll edit my comment to reflect that. Zoozaz1 (talk) 03:14, 3 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

UNLV land grant edits ]]

Your citations are inaccurate and opinion oriented for this article, not based on fact nor law. Re-read the comments made; UNLV may have co-equal status as a doctoral degree granting institution, but again: UNLV has no agricultural program, it doesn't have cooperative extension, it doesn't have an experimentation station, and further, its establishment more than a century after the Morrill Act should make that clear. The listed sources are second-hand; for one, an AG opinion is just that - it's an opinion. Codified law (Nevada Revised Statutes) is what dictates. AB 407 (2017) attempted to make such a change, but was VETOED by Governor Sandoval for numerous fiduciary and compliance based reasons - (https://www.leg.state.nv.us/Session/79th2017/Reports/VetoMessages/AB407_79th_VetoMessage.pdf). With so many inaccuracies, there's no need to even mention it or reference it at this point - by now, this should be pretty self-evident. Corresponding changes must be made. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:8801:1984:3A00:9446:A418:A484:919D (talk) 17:20, 5 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

An ag program, extension, station, and establishment time are not criteria for a land-grant institution, although they are most often associated with it. De facto is not de jure; I will change it to reflect that de facto it gets significantly fewer benefits. When you say the citations are incorrect, see WP:V. Kentucky's First Prison

Zoozazi, you sent me a message that my "Kentucky's First Prison" needed to be merged into the Wiki page "Kentucky State Reformatory." It is a completely different prison. Kentucky's first prison was known by both names Kentucky State Reformatory and Kentucky Penitentiary at one time and was located in Frankfort, Kentucky until the 1937 flood made it uninhabitable. The Kentucky State Reformatory page on Wiki is now located in LaGrange, Oldham county, Kentucky and the Kentucky State Penitentiary is located in Eddyville, Lyon County, Ky. They are three different prisons. That is why I named it Kentucky's first prison (1798-1937). It really needs a separate page of its own because it has 140 years of history that would just muddle the history of the Reformatory in Lagrange's page. Could you please reconsider? Thanks in advance. Smko47 (talk) 00:34, 10 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Smko47, You are right, I was confused because the other page said it was founded in 1798. I will need to change the name of the page though as it should be the name of the prison. Zoozaz1 (talk) 00:38, 10 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. How exciting!! In the meantime, I cleaned up the other Kentucky State Reformatory page. I really appreciate your assistance and guidance. Thanks again. Smko47 (talk) 16:40, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Zoozaz1, I made significant additions to this page thanks to your suggestions. I am wondering if you can take a look and give me any additional feedback that might help speed along the review? Thanks!

@Aamling:, I've mentioned some of the promotional language on the draft, but as a tip when you want to provide a link to something else instead of linking to their websites you should link to their wikipedia articles by using [[ ]] around the word. Zoozaz1 (talk) 15:36, 15 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Zoozaz1! I did a double take when I read your message, and thought I had been hacked for a moment, until I realized that by "recently" you meant more than 11 years ago! I had stopped watching this article for many years, so I was not aware that it had been stripped down to almost nothing. I have now restored it as I had originally conceived it. To be clear, this article is patterned on List of European regions with alternative names, so the same considerations should apply. As for the missing sources and citations you refer to, the contents of this article are entirely drawn from the Wikipedia itself and from the Wikipedias in other languages. So, the verifiability consists in clicking on the name of the region in the left column and then, if appropriate, clicking on the linked articles in the Wikipedias in other languages shown in the left panel. In other words, the article is as verifiable as the Wikipedia project itself, as it is entirely drawn from it. Is that good enough? It seems to me that if List of European regions with alternative names is a legitimate article, this one should be too. I would like to add that articles of this type are of great value to linguists, yet they are constantly under attack from non-linguists who basically don't want to see anything that is not a bona fide English word in the English Wikipedia. Their deletion is a great loss for the Wikipedia project. Pasquale (talk) 03:18, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Pasquale, That sounds good. I see that it has been restored, so I'll move it back to the mainspace; I was just not very impressed, to say the least, with the version of the page when I moved it to the draft (probably a result of nobody paying attention to it for 10 years), but the current version is much better. I would suggest maybe putting a note with the references as I did on that page so in the future editors can tell immediately that the article isn't entirely unreferenced. Zoozaz1 (talk) 03:28, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Zoozaz1, thank you very much! I added a note as you suggested. Pasquale (talk) 03:58, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well, Zoozaz1, the note I added following your suggestion did not last very long. John B123 promptly removed it with the following comment: "That's not the way it works, you need to add the references to this article". He also slapped an unreferenced tag at the top of the article ("This article does not cite any sources, etc. etc.). Notice that the very similar (and much more extensive!) List of European regions with alternative names has no such tag, and was created in January 2005.
John B123 is an aggressive new page reviewer who systematically adds these tags to virtually all new articles he comes across. Of course, I agree that new page reviewing is very important, but nonetheless, that's John B123's main contribution to the Wikipedia. He is based in England, has been a Wikipedian for less than three years, and is a monolingual English-speaker. I assume he fails to see any usefulness in these articles, and would remove them in the blink of an eye.
I have been a Wikipedian for over 16 years, and care about it very very much, but not enough to pick a fight, and have no intention of picking a fight over this. If I told John B123 that this article is patterned on List of European regions with alternative names and so the same considerations should apply, he wold probably just slap an unreferenced tag on that article too, and move on. Adding independent (not Wikipedia-based) references to each item (essentially each word!) in these articles would take months of work. I am certainly not going to do that.
So, I leave this up to you. As for me, I may just print a hard copy of these articles for my paper records, in the expectation that they will be eventually removed. Pasquale (talk) 19:05, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Pasquale, I've replaced it with another template, let's see if it sticks. Zoozaz1 (talk) 19:37, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

question on Meszaros effect article ===

However, while I can find the article when I am logged into my Wikipedia account (User:Harasztyan), I cannot find it when I am mot logged in. E.g., if I do (or others do) a Google search for Meszaros effect, it shows up in other websites, but not the Wikipedia article. Is there a delay between acceptance and being visible to he rest of the world? Thanks, Harasztyan. Harasztyan (talk) 18:22, 22 September 2020 (UTC) Harasztyan, 14:22 EST Sept. 22, 2020[reply]

@Harasztyan:There is a delay between being accepted as an article and being visible on a google search. As of now, the article is visible to the world (if you look for it through wikipedia anonymously you will find it) but is specifically not put onto Google yet until either a New Page Patroller looks at it or it has been 90 days. Edits to Northwestern Mutual

Hello Zoozaz1 -

I am a COI editor trying to update the Northwestern Mutual page.

Talk:Northwestern_Mutual#cite_note-57

You recently reviewed my requested edits and provided feedback. Thank you.

I have subsequently made changes to the requested edits based on your feedback and wondered if you might take another look please?

Of note, I have:

  • Simplified language to ensure a 'neutral" POV
  • Added additional third-party sources
  • Removed most leadership team names, except the CEO, the chief investment officer (given NM is a substantially-sized investor), and the chief distribution officer (given NM is one of very few insurance companies with its own distribution force)
  • Removed 'accolades' and included only financial ratings, with third-party links (given financial ratings are critically important for evaluating insurers of any kind)
  • Moved 'subsidiaries' to just be part of the 'about' section

I welcome your additional feedback. Thanks in advance

Kosterberg (talk) 19:12, 1 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again Zoozaz1 -

I have posted a few tiny final requested corrections for the Northwestern Mutual page. Please let me know if you agree and can implement the changes.

Kosterberg (talk) 15:26, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Three more small requests for the Northwestern Mutual page please (information removals for the most part):

  1. In the "Key people" section that is now in the infobox, can we list only the CEO (John Schlifske) and remove the other two names?
  2. Can we remove the "Marketing" section. NM no longer sponsors the Rose Bowl Game, and the 'top-level' domain information seems irrelevant to the average reader
  3. Can "Technology" be called "Technology and Innovation" given the content pertains not just to tech per se but to innovation more broadly given the VC investment activity?

Thank you Kosterberg (talk) 14:50, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

We made this change after hearing users' comments on the first RfC being too complicated. I hope that you can participate this time around, giving your feedback on this new feature for WikiLoop DoubleCheck users.
Thanks and see you around online,

Cite Unseen update

Hello! Thank you for using Cite Unseen. The script recently received a significant update, detailed below.

  • You can now toggle which icons you do or don't want to see. See the configuration section for details. All icons are enabled by default except for the new Green checkmark generally reliable icon (described below).
  • New categorizations/icons:
    • Megaphone Advocacy: Organizations that are engaged in advocacy (anything from political to civil rights to lobbying). Note that an advocacy group can be reliable; this indicator simply serves to note when a source's primary purpose is to advocate for certain positions or policies, which is important to keep in mind when consuming a source.
    • Hand writing Editable: Sites that are editable by the public, such as wikis (Wikipedia, Fandom) or some databases (IMDb, Discogs).
    • Red journal with an X Predatory journals: These sites charge publication fees to authors without checking articles for quality and legitimacy.
    • Perennial source categories: Cite Unseen will mark sources as Green checkmark generally reliable, Exlamation mark in orange triangle marginally reliable, No symbol generally unreliable, Stop hand deprecated, and Black X blacklisted. This is based on Wikipedia's perennial sources list, which reflects community consensus on frequently discussed sources. Sources that have multiple categorizations are marked as Blue question mark varied reliability. Note that Green checkmark generally reliable icons are disabled by default to reduce clutter, but you can enable them through your custom config. A special thanks to Newslinger, whose new Sourceror API provides the perennial sources list in a clean, structured format.
  • With the addition of the new categorizations, the biased source icon has been removed. This category was very broad, and repetitive to the new advocacy and perennial sources categorizations that are more informative.

If you have any feedback, requested features, or domains to add/remove, don't hesitate to bring it up on the script's talk page. Thank you! ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 23:28, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

A few months ago i made a page on voiceless retroflex lateral flap ([3]) and a few months later you sent it to drafts and told me to add sources to it (sry for the late reply) so can you tell me what kinds of sources i should add and can you help me out in finding them? AleksiB 1945 (talk) 23:30, 23 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

AleksiB 1945, Certainly. Pretty much you need to add two sources. First of all, you need to add a source for the first paragraph to verify it, and you need to add a source for the last paragraph to verify that the phoneme is used in Wahgi. You don't need as many references as this article, but Voiced velar lateral approximant is a good example of an article with sources. The best sources to add would be scholarly articles or books, but you can see WP:Reliable sources for other sources that are allowed. Zoozaz1 talk 01:35, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Zoozaz1, Ok but firstly i copied the first para from the voiced retroflex lateral flap page while making the necessary changes, secondly i saw that Wahgi had it in this page (which is why i made that page) but i cant find any sources for it so can you help me find it? AleksiB 1945 (talk) 11:16, 25 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
AleksiB 1945, I've added a source and moved it to the mainspace. Zoozaz1 talk 15:37, 25 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Zoozaz1, Thanks!, at the same time I also made another page ([4]), can you tell me how to or where can i find the sources for it? In case i make more pages in the future. AleksiB 1945 (talk) 17:06, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
AleksiB 1945, What I did was google the language that the phoneme appears in along with the phoneme itself. You might also find a source by looking for a phonology of the language that has the phoneme in question. Zoozaz1 talk 18:38, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Zoozaz1, I cant find them ([ɟʎ̝] an allophone of /dʎ̝/) AleksiB 1945 (talk) 20:19, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Sometimes googling the name of the phoneme works better than just the symbol. Zoozaz1 talk 16:24, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Mongolia–Turkey relations

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Mongolia–Turkey relations (version 2) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Mongolia–Turkey relations. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Your signature

Please be aware that your signature uses deprecated <font> tags, which are causing Obsolete HTML tags lint errors.

Also, your use of "cursor:none" is unusual on Wikipedia. I am not aware of any rule against it, but when I moused over your signature and didn't get the expected cursor with a hand with pointing finger, I was puzzled, and I suspect other users would be puzzled by it to.

You are encouraged to change

AleksiB 1945, It looks like a fine article, but you will have to take it up with the person who changed it to a redirect, in this case Onel5969, on their talk page. Zoozaz1 talk 15:06, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Zoozaz1, i did went to Onel5969 (first time he didnt reply so i undid his edit after he undid my edit again i went and talked to him again but he didn't reply) then i talked to Austronesier he said that he'd look into it but 2 days still no replies AleksiB 1945 (talk) 19:02, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Zoozaz1, Since you are an actual wiki page reviewer i think you should do it (also a tiny correction if you are making the article, Kotoko is a dialect of the Afade language) AleksiB 1945 (talk) 19:05, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
AleksiB 1945, You should probably ask him again, as the first time you asked him it was in the middle of a different section so I don't think he noticed. Zoozaz1 talk 02:50, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Zoozaz1, no response AleksiB 1945 (talk) 22:55, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

AleksiB 1945, I would add more sources to address the notability concerns and then make the article again. Zoozaz1 talk 16:34, 19 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your User and User talk pages

Hi Zoozaz1! I'd ask you to reconsider the font effects on your User and User talk pages. They trigger a vertigo feeling and I can't be the only person who's experienced this. Cheers! Woodroar (talk) 21:24, 27 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Woodroar, Is it better now? I've reduced the effect significantly. Zoozaz1 talk 21:57, 27 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry but your User page is still basically unreadable to me. This talk page is somewhat better, but only for a short amount of time. It gets worst the longer I try to read anything, especially moving from line to line. It's funny because I'm currently watching an action movie with all sorts of movement, but it's some slanting text that makes me ill. Woodroar (talk) 22:17, 27 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Woodroar, I hope this solution is better. Zoozaz1 talk 22:47, 27 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Not really. I mean, I get that you're just having some fun on your pages, but this isn't MySpace—where you'd expect that some pages might be unreadable or even crash your browser. We're here to build an encyclopedia, which includes collaboration and WP:ACCESSIBILITY and all that. Woodroar (talk) 23:34, 27 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Woodroar, I agree, which is why I created a normal page without the skew that you can look at instead. Zoozaz1 talk 23:38, 27 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Except that it still has skewed text, and you still need to get past skewed text to access it. It might be fine if there were a setting that blocked font effects, although a setting that allowed font effects would be better. If you prefer skewed text, a "here be dragons skewed text" link would be best. Woodroar (talk) 23:45, 27 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Woodroar, Is it better now? Unless someone has an extraordinarily large monitor they do not have to get past skewed test to access the non-skewed page. Zoozaz1 talk 00:04, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Eh, it's better but still not great. I don't think users will notice a tiny bit of text above a giant image. They're going to scroll down to your actual talk page and see the text and if they're susceptible to vertigo, feel ill. I don't understand why you're so intent on keeping a gimmick like this. Woodroar (talk) 00:23, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Woodroar, I've bolded it to make it more noticeable. Sometimes it's nice to have something make you stop and look for a minute (as it struck me when I found it on someone else's userpage), and if you don't want to or can't you can go to a page without it. Zoozaz1 talk 00:30, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've started a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Accessibility#Font gimmicks. Woodroar (talk) 00:47, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you would like to help us improve this process, please consider leaving us some feedback.

Thanks again, and happy editing!

This is a likely POVFORK attempted by the editor to get a specific link to a specific tool somewhere in mainspace. They've been talking to people on Major depressive disorder, PHQ9, and WT:MED for a while. Any information they're trying to add is not encyclopedic (the comparisons aren't made by any reliable source, and such a comparison of independently non-notable tools is itself non-notable) - any encyclopedic information is already contained within PHQ9. Just wanted to give you some more information in case they attempt to resubmit to you directly. -bɜ:ʳkənhɪmez (User/say hi!) 01:29, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Khalili Collection of Islamic Art

You put a primary sources tag on the article Khalili Collection of Islamic Art on 5th May. Please could you revisit the page and remove the tag if you think the issue has been sufficiently addressed. I ask this because the article has been nominated for DYK, and the nomination cannot proceed while the tag is in place. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 08:52, 15 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'll remove it, the situation seems to have been improved. Pinging @Chiswick Chap: who was also concerned about the lack of secondary sources. Zoozaz1 talk 13:14, 15 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've added a secondary source or two, and the article now has some; what it lacks, and the reason for your tag, is critical (secondary) discussion from independent viewpoints, i.e. what are the issues with the collection, if any (answers on a postcard). The tag can go but the underlying issues haven't gone away, as you'll see if you look at the talk page. All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 13:32, 15 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What is the difference between the Notability of Shaheed Kufa series and this article? I read where you say. But many series do not have them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.183.104.130 (talk) 15:57, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

notability

All Islamic serials that have been shown in several countries have notability. Imam Reza is the important Imam of the Shiites. This series is important for Shiites. I do not know why you say the article do not have a notability.

Draft:Reign of Love

I do not understand this amount of injustice! Take a look at Muawiya, Hassan and Hussein (TV series) article, half of the article is Regin of Love source. For this article I have provided a source for each claim, a source that is not just IMDb. This series is well known in Iran and Arab countries.

The sources you have provided are fine, that's not the problem. The problem is of notability, which you can read about at WP:NFILM. Reference 7 is the only one that contributes to notability. Zoozaz1 talk 12:22, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

List of Shahbanus of Persia

@89.183.54.46: See WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS; that other article should have references, but it was created many years ago when people were much more lax about references. Even if they are just the mother or wife, you still need references saying that they are the mother or wife. You had to have gotten the information from somewhere, so you can add that as a reference (unless it is from Wikipedia articles). Zoozaz1 talk

Your GA nomination of Dushanbe

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Dushanbe you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Template:Peacock

Hello Zoozaz1! In this edit, you added a Peacock Template. I just removed and replaced such wording with no proclamations about a subject's importance and added facts and attributions to demonstrate the importance of each phrase in the the article to improve a neutral point of view. What do you think about it? Is it right my new edit for you to remove the template or I need to keep working on this issue? Thanks so much! --MaryinPink (talk) 22:25, 28 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

MaryinPink, I've removed the template after your improvements. Zoozaz1 talk 22:30, 28 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for TONGASAT

On 8 August 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article TONGASAT, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the small Pacific island nation of Tonga, represented by its satellite company Tongasat, claimed nine percent of all viable satellite orbits and became the sixth-largest holder of those orbits? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/TONGASAT. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, TONGASAT), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Draft:Target Integration

Your close of Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Draft:Target Integration I would call a WP:BADNAC and a WP:Supervote. Please revert. SmokeyJoe (talk) 12:10, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, but it had gone three weeks without a close. Zoozaz1 talk 14:52, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

MfD relisting

Why are you doing MfD relisting? Comment-free relisting is a negative action. It amounts to random shuffling of the mfd order, and hides the old discussions by removing them from the backlog.

Please stop comment-free relisting.

Relisting is appropriate if new information has arisen, including a compelling new argument that may change the mind of earlier !voters, of if there is a discovery that stakeholders were not notified. If there is almost a consensus, but the discussion is meandering, and you are a qualified closer, you might relist with a refocusing comment. However, if the only thing is that you think more input is needed, there are various methods of Wikipedia:Publicising discussions, which do not include relisting.

If you have read the discussion well enough to come to the opinion that it is not ready to close, then why not !vote?

SmokeyJoe (talk) 02:31, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This shows good consistency with the result, but I think you should get more experience participating in XfD before administering XfD. SmokeyJoe (talk) 02:38, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
MfD had discussions that were many weeks old, most of which had no new comments. Moving it back to the new nominations generates more discussion. Zoozaz1 talk 02:55, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Do it doesn’t, except maybe by annoying the regulars who already commented or chose to not comment.
By being in the backlog they attract more attention. SmokeyJoe (talk) 03:39, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

How do I change my username and password? --Heinzekitsvelvet (talk) 01:47, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Heinzekitsvelvet, As you have just created your account, it would be a better idea to just create a brand new account and abandon this one. However, if you have a confirmed email address, you can change your username at Special:GlobalRenameRequest. To change your password, see Special:ChangePassword. Question from Elvrineasavis (04:43, 15 November 2021)

Hello! Nice to meet you. How long does it take to be able to post my own article? --Elvrineasavis (talk) 04:43, 15 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Elvrineasavis, Nice to meet you too. The answer is that it depends. If you go through the AfC process (where you submit a draft for review) it could take anywhere from a few days to a few months. However, once you are autoconfirmed, which means your account is 4 days old and you have made 10 edits, you can publish your own article immediately without going through that process. RAUKYANDO, You can click the blue "submit your draft for review" button on the draft. I will tell you, though, that to get your draft accepted you'll need to add references to support the material. Zoozaz1 (talk) 12:29, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:43, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Alauddinansari0343 (08:09, 21 December 2021)

I would like to create my profile with all my biography on wikipedia so that people can find first hand knowledge about me when they would need to know me well..

I would also like to put my name in wikipedia as Muhammad Alauddin Ansari, this is my full name.

Thanks --Alauddin (talk) 08:09, 21 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Alauddin. Unfortunately, that is unlikely to be possible. You might have the misconception that Wikipedia is similar to social media, but Wikipedia is much more similar to a traditional encyclopedia than social media. All Wikipedia articles are required to have multiple reliable, independent sources discussing the subject to demonstrate notability, and a quick Google search of your name does not turn up enough sources. Question from 1920sHollywoodFilmRenaissance (13:49, 22 January 2022)

Hi, I'm trying to load a 1927 ad for a film so that it is featured on that particular film's Wiki page. However it is rejected by Wikipedia because I personally didn't write the ad back in 1927. Yet I see images of actors of that time featured on Wiki all the time. How are these images allowable when they aren't the author of the photos or drawings? --1920sHollywoodFilmRenaissance (talk) 13:49, 22 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

1920sHollywoodFilmRenaissance, copyright is a very complex field. The ad you have may be allowed on Commons, I would look at the Hirtle chart for more information. Zoozaz1 (talk) 14:45, 22 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Introvert8146 (11:58, 25 January 2022)

How to I create a Wikipedia page? I'd like to make a bio about myself like people do on Instagram. --Introvert8146 (talk) 11:58, 25 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Introvert8146, Hi, Wikipedia works very differently than Instagram (see WP:NOTSOCIAL). You would need around three reliable, independent sources that have significant coverage of you to qualify for a Wikipedia article. Also take a look at WP:Autobiography. Zoozaz1 (talk) 14:35, 25 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Mr manor11 (23:02, 26 January 2022)

I have noticed in many cases of political Biases, which are intertwined with "Sources" which have a clear and obvious motive. What should I do when coming across articles which seem to be advertisements for certain political ideologies rather than neutral articles, even if they have some sort of weak source? --Mr manor11 (talk) 23:02, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Mr manor11, That's a good question. The number one thing you have to keep in mind on Wikipedia is sources; everything on Wikipedia has to be supported by them. Even if you might think a source is biased, there still might be a consensus that it is reliable; most sources are biased in some way, but they still can be reliable (see WP:RSP for a listing of reliable and unreliable sources). If you think a specific article is biased, the best thing you can do is make your case on the talk page of the article in question (just press the talk tab on the top of the article). If there is something specific you want to change, which is more helpful than just a general complaint of bias, mention that, but make sure to have reliable secondary sources (as determined by the listing on WP:RSP) to support what you want to include. One last thing: make sure that your request is as neutral as possible. A neutral point of view is a core policy on Wikipedia. Zoozaz1 (talk) 23:10, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for your answer, I appreciate the list of reliable or unusable sources you provided as well. One question though that still concerns me, which is what you mentioned about a neutral point of view, and this is directed that Wikipedia as a whole. Is it not true that Wikipedia's Co-Founder resigned and said that Neutrality here is no longer the case? And if so, how can I ensure true Neutrality under such circumstances? Mr manor11 (talk) 23:28, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Mr manor11, no problem. To answer your question about Sanger, that is true, but different people (even co-founders) have different views on what neutrality should look like. That's the nature of an online encyclopedia; there's going to be plenty of people who disagree with you. I will say that the vast majority of Wikipedia editors do firmly believe in the NPOV policy, even if from one perspective the result seems biased. The main way to ensure neutrality is by sticking to reliable sources (from the above list). Just having a civil discussion with people backed up with reliable sources on the talk page is a great way to ensure neutrality. You might not get your way, but look towards compromising and seeing it from the other side's perspective. I would take a look at WP:BATTLEGROUND for a good way to approach discussions like that and how editors try to approach discussions in general on Wikipedia. Zoozaz1 (talk) 23:58, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yes because I already have a small complaint, is there anywhere we could discuss this privately in a discussion, without the whole Public looking in? That means me, him, and if you wish you, in order to keep heads cool. Thanks again! Mr manor11 (talk) 00:13, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Mr manor11, The best place to do it would be on the person's talk page. Technically anybody can read it, but chances are only the person you are messaging will read it. You can click on the talk button on their signature to go to their talk page. Zoozaz1 (talk) 00:16, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Question from ItsShiba (21:30, 31 January 2022)

Hello! I just saw this, and I was wondering how to create a Wikipedia page, an example I have on hand being something like the SCP Foundation wiki: https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/ Thanks! --ItsShiba (talk) 21:30, 31 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ItsShiba, You can check out WP:Your first article for how to start an article on Wikipedia. Zoozaz1 (talk) 22:34, 31 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Creation of entire wiki sites (last question)

Hello again! I have one more question on how to get started on creating entire wiki sites (again like the SCP Foundation site which I am basing it off of). I see how you can sign into that wiki site, and was wondering how I create an entire "fandom" I think is the word. Sorry, but is there any links you could provide me with? Thank you very much! -Shiba — Preceding unsigned comment added by ItsShiba (talkcontribs) 17:28, 1 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ItsShiba, for that, you might want to look at mw:Mediawiki, which will likely require some technical knowledge. I'm not sure if the website you linked to uses Mediawiki, but I do know many wikis/fandoms (along with Wikipedia) use it. Zoozaz1 (talk) 18:54, 1 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Question from MissKTolani (14:06, 3 January 2022)

Glad to have you here, I have the following questions: Why is my article on a Wikipedia mirror - en.everybodywiki.com/Yashodhan_Rana

and also, is it cool that I moved my own draft to the main article page?

Let me know. Thanks. --MissKTolani (talk) 14:06, 3 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

MissKTolani, Welcome to Wikipedia. To answer your first question, it is because every contribution to Wikipedia is released under a Creative Commons license that allows for free reproduction of the anything on the site.
To answer your second question, it is technically allowed to move drafts to main article page, but is highly discouraged for newcomers. Seeing as you are a paid editor (thank you for disclosing), it really should have another set of eyes looking at the article before approval, so I've moved it back to draftspace. Working on it as a draft, and addressing reviewer comments, will ensure the article stays up once approved.
Lastly, I noticed that you uploaded a photo of his passport onto Commons; this is not a good idea, as it means his passport is publicly viewable by anybody on the internet. I've requested the deletion of the passport. Zoozaz1 (talk) 19:20, 3 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Well, Thank You. Pleasantly surprised at how much fun Wikipedia is. I am really liking it here and hopefully can stay for long! I have indeed changed the article as per a reviewer's comments and the passport was a part of the referencing. The man in question was ok with his passport being uploaded since there was no other way to reference he was born in Ziro. So, once I've addressed reviewer comments and resubmitted, should I be doing anything new or now I am waiting for Godot? Thank You for being a friendly mentor, I'll look forward to the response. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MissKTolani (talkcontribs) 11:27, 4 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

MissKTolani, No problem, glad to help. For your draft, you might be waiting some time; it really varies. It could take anywhere from a few days to two months, but eventually it will be reviewed.
While it is not an ideal, I would suggest having Yashodhan Rana put out a social media post or bio with his birthdate and location and then citing that. We really can't have private information such as passports on Commons, as even with the subject's consent there are privacy/fraud/legal implications that make it a bad idea. Zoozaz1 (talk) 18:45, 4 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

WP:AFC Helper News

Hello! I wanted to drop a quick note for all of our AFC participants; nothing huge and fancy like a newsletter, but a few points of interest.

  • AFCH will now show live previews of the comment to be left on a decline.
  • The template {{db-afc-move}} has been created - this template is similar to {{db-move}} when there is a redirect in the way of an acceptance, but specifically tells the patrolling admin to let you (the draft reviewer) take care of the actual move.

Short and sweet, but there's always more to discuss at WT:AFC. Stop on by, maybe review a draft on the way? Whether you're one of our top reviewers, or haven't reviewed in a while, I want to thank you for helping out in the past and in the future. Cheers, Primefac, via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 16:00, 16 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Introvert8146, It will stay there. No matter where you edit, as long as you click the "publish changes" button after you are done, what you add will be saved somewhere (if it is deleted it will still be in the edit history). Zoozaz1 (talk) 21:14, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello my good sir. I am somewhat new to this editing thing, as I am a better writer. When it comes to citations, is there any way to check whether or not a source actually contains that information? --The knowledgeable boot (talk) 00:17, 10 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Question from PauloAlves1 (21:20, 21 July 2022)

Hi Zoozar, my name is Paulo Alves. I'm currently researching the early days of recorded music, I came across this article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talking_Machine_News I have 19 volumes of original "Talking Machine News" publications Cica 1911 to 1916, would it be of interest to photograph the content of the volumes the uplode it on to this article as Visual reference? --PauloAlves1 (talk) 21:20, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

PauloAlves1, That would be excellent if you could upload those volumes and add some images to the article. The only tricky part is the copyright, as Wikipedia can only accept images that are free to use. If the author of an article in the magazine died less than 70 years ago, that article of the magazine is still copyrighted and can't be uploaded. If the author died more than 70 years ago or is anonymous, that article (or image) is not copyrighted and can be uploaded to Wikipedia.
I'd imagine it's a lot of work to look up that information for 19 volumes, but for however many images you decide to upload (even just one or two would be useful for the Wikipedia article) you can do so at the Upload Wizard. When you get to the release rights page of the Upload Wizard (the page after you upload your image) you'll have to click "this file is not my own work" and click on "another reason not mentioned above" at the bottom of the page. In that text box, if the work is anonymous, you can type "{{PD-Scan|PD-US-expired|PD-UK-unknown}}." If the author of the work died more than 70 years ago, you can type "{{PD-Scan|PD-old-70-expired}}" instead. Zoozaz1 (talk) 22:13, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your reply ZooZar,
At the back of the magazine' The Talking News owns the Publishing rights, there's a footnote at the back cover
" ALL COMMUNICATIONS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED TO THE OFFICES OF THE TALKING MACHINE NEWS". I'm unable to upload the photos ive taken to show you as reference please Advise PauloAlves1 (talk) 23:56, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
PauloAlves1, You can ignore that; claims such as publishing rights don't have copyright applications today. Zoozaz1 (talk) 00:33, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Randomactofflower (05:20, 14 August 2022)

Hi Zoozazi, I am an artist and contributed some images to 12 greek goddesses as they are appearing in contemporary fine art. Three I am in the process of asking permission for, the other nine I managed to add the image. Unfortunately, someone came behind me and reverted all the pages back? He deemed them unuseful? As far as I can see, he is no one special? He has as not contributed anything having to do with art? I, on the other hand have studied these Greek Goddesses, their mythology, and how they have shown up in art through the ages? Greek mythology has entirely influenced western culture. I found the images on the pages profoundly informative, many I have seen and studied in museums across Europe and believe how these goddesses show up in contemporary fine art very informative. Please advise. Kindly, Randomactofflower --Randomactofflower (talk) 05:20, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Randomactofflower, Since you are adding the images to widely viewed pages, editors are often cautious and revert undiscussed edits. To add the images, you should go to the talk page of the article by pressing the blue talk button on the top left, near the title. There, you can click the new section button and explain why you want to add the image. Other editors may reply to you and discuss adding the images. Zoozaz1 (talk) 18:05, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Solitaire addict jabberwocky (18:44, 11 September 2022)

How do you prove sources under fire from other fellow Wikipedia’s who are criticising it for reasons that have no impact on actual reality due to their faulty information and insist that the source is reliable? --Solitaire addict jabberwocky (talk) 18:44, 11 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Solitaire addict jabberwocky, first, you should listen to what those other Wikipedians have to say. It's hard to tell without knowing the specific source, but Wikipedia has very specific criteria for reliable sources, and even though you might think the source is reliable, it may not fall under that criteria. Look through the page WP:Reliable Sources and compare your source to what is on that page. If you still think it falls under Wikipedia's reliability criteria, you could then ask about the source's reliability on WP:RSN. Zoozaz1 (talk) 18:55, 11 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello CelestialCleaningService, this is a "Talk page stalker" here. I'm sorry but Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a listing of commercial services. Wikipedia is not a promotional venue or a place to post ads. As Wikipedia is an encyclopedia subjects of articles must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources which are unconnected with the subject and which provide verifiable information.

Excel Charlie, the best place to start would be suggested edits, which is on your homepage. If there is a specific article you want to edit, just click edit and change the page however you want as long as it follows Wikipedia's guidelines. The formatting (and Wikipedia's guidelines) can be a bit difficult, so if there is a specific edit you want to make you can ask me for more clarification. NintendoTTTEfan2005, which page are you merging? After you copied and pasted the information, you need to redirect the original page by following step 2. Make sure you are in the source editor instead of the visual editor. Zoozaz1 (talk) 21:55, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, when can I create a page for a company that I work for? And how do I disclose this information to Wikipedia through the correct format? --Aiman.Tahir91 (talk) 13:42, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Aiman.Tahir91. You can create the article for the company, but you should submit it through WP:AFC. For disclosing that you are paid by the company, see WP:Paid. The most important part is disclosing that information on your user page. Zoozaz1 (talk) 16:35, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much for your help! I've created my user page, disclosing the information you asked me to. Can you please have a look here and let me know if this is fine? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Aiman.Tahir91 Aiman.Tahir91 (talk) 07:14, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Aiman.Tahir91, Yes, that looks good. Zoozaz1 (talk) 17:16, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, can you take a look at this draft and let me know if this looks good so far? Let me know if I need to change anything with regards to content, voice, tone, or anything else. Thank you so much for your help! Aiman.Tahir91 (talk) 17:08, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Aiman.Tahir91, The first thing to do is to demonstrate notability. You can look at that link for more information, but basically you need to demonstrate that the subject has received significant coverage in multiple reliable, independent sources. One other suggestion would be to use the "cite" button for references (which should be at the top of the screen) rather than a number and a link. Zoozaz1 (talk) 18:41, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again, thank you so much for your help. It's helping me learn a lot about Wikipedia's writing, editing, and posting style. I've done what you asked. Do you think the page is ready to be submitted for review?
If there's anymore feedback, I would love to incorporate that before submitting the page for a review. Also, how long do you think it might take for a page to be approved? Probably months, right? Thanks in advance! Aiman.Tahir91 (talk) 09:21, 23 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Aiman.Tahir91, it might take a few months, it could also be almost immediate. One more note about the sources before you submit the article: they have to be independent to count towards notability, which means paid/sponsored sources wouldn't count for notability purposes. Zoozaz1 (talk) 20:20, 23 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Which ones do you recommend I cite from, for notability purposes? Thanks so much for all the help! Aiman.Tahir91 (talk) 07:49, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Aiman.Tahir91, the sources have to be independent of the subject, reliable, and have significant coverage of the subject. For instance, the first 2 are not independent as they are the company's website, and source 16 isn't independent as it is a press release by the company. Profiles of the company like source 8 generally aren't considered to be significant coverage (and sometimes aren't independent or reliable). Finding 3 sources that are independent, reliable, and have significant coverage is generally enough for notability. Zoozaz1 (talk) 16:38, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello haw can I create my own personal profile --Parahat Berdiyev (talk) 10:10, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Parahat Berdiyev, You can create a user page here as a personal profile to communicate with other editors. Articles for the public on Wikipedia have to be notable, which means you would have to be the subject of significant coverage in reliable sources, which most people do not have. Question from OSTRICHPEDIA (18:40, 28 September 2023)

Hi, I’d like Wikipedia to mention the fact that “Electric Ink” was the name of a graphic design company that existed many years before the bbc radio programme. Electric Ink (the graphic design company) still exists to this day. I have spoken to Wikipedia before but somebody basically told me where to go. Hoping you can help, Best regards Dennis --OSTRICHPEDIA (talk) 18:40, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

OSTRICHPEDIA, hello Dennis. Wikipedia only includes subjects that are notable for inclusion. If the graphic design company is notable (this means that it has received significant coverage in multiple, independent reliable sources) then you can create an article for it, after which the article can be clarified/disambiguated. If it is does not qualify as notable, then Wikipedia wouldn't mention the graphic design company. Zoozaz1 (talk) 15:26, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sanarehman11, your writing is here. There is very little chance that it will accepted for publication as a Wikipedia article, because there are strict standards of notability that very few people meet. If you want to submit your article for approval despite that, you can do so at WP:AFC, but make sure you read through the notability page beforehand to see what is necessary for an article to be approved. Hey do you know when my article will be accepted??? I have put a lot of time and effort into it --LukeN0rman513 (talk) 09:55, 14 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

LukeN0rman513, normally it will take anywhere from a few hours to a few months. However, if you are referring to the article that recently got deleted as a personal attack, it will not be accepted for that reason. Zoozaz1 (talk) 17:01, 14 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
By the way that was not a personal attack that was all truth LukeN0rman513 (talk) 12:36, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
LukeN0rman513, truth can be a personal attack if it is presented in a biased way. I suggest that if you want the article approved that you re-write it in a more impartial manner. Zoozaz1 (talk) 00:45, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Sandile Mtetwa (15:29, 21 February 2024)

hi can i write my own stories and everything --Sandile Mtetwa (talk) 15:29, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sandile Mtetwa, we have strict requirements for any article to be published (which are encyclopedia articles, as opposed to stories), and the topic for your article would have to meet the criteria of WP:N. Zoozaz1 (talk) 17:00, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Sultanofza on Capital punishment in California (17:16, 28 February 2024)

Hi, There is a completely erroneous entry concerning capital punishment in California. I have added a comment to the talk page but believe the entry that appears in the regular wikipedia page should be removed concerning Juan Catalan. New to all this and not sure how to at least question or suggest questioning this erroneous entry. --Sultanofza (talk) 17:16, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sultanofza, from what I gather, another editor saw your talk page post and changed the article. In the future, you can directly edit the article yourself (just make sure to have reliable sources if you are adding something). Zoozaz1 (talk) 22:52, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your responding, yes, someone else did agree and took it down. Sultanofza (talk) 00:56, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Editorchoice 2050 (20:21, 4 March 2024)

Hi, I've been adding and editing a page, "Moe Barakat"; in some cases, adding so much information gets it rejected, and when the info is reduced, it was rejected as not enough. I edited it to showcase the general public profile of the person without going into too many details, and also indicated the last step as now running for U.S. Senate; although not the major part as a candidate, it's the general public profile that matters, however, the review always site either not enough references or too many references. --Editorchoice 2050 (talk) 20:21, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Editorchoice 2050, the issue is not the references per se. Only certain articles are allowed on Wikipedia, those that are notable enough to qualify for an article. The issue with your article is that you have not demonstrated that your topic is notable enough by providing enough high quality (published, reliable, secondary, independent) references. In other words, until independent news organizations start to write profiles/provide in depth coverage of this candidate, it is unlikely that he will qualify for an article. Question from PRINCE MICKLE JOSEPH (10:07, 13 March 2024)

hi how can I add my bio --PRINCE MICKLE JOSEPH (talk) 10:07, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

PRINCE MICKLE JOSEPH, Wikipedia only has articles for individuals that meet our notability standard. If you believe that you meet that standard (by having at least three independent, reliable sources with significant coverage of you) then you can submit a draft at WP:AFC. Also make sure to declare your conflict of interest on your userpage. Zoozaz1 (talk) 16:14, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
