New Mix n Match set[edit]

We have an up to date Mix n Match set for Te Papa agents (party records), and are regularly running checks to pull new matches into our own collection management system.

Wikimania 2023, Singapore[edit]

Te Papa's Stitchbird2 and Avocadobabygirl presented our framework for scoped contribution projects as part of a GLAMs-focused session during Wikimania, 16-19 August 2023.

Huge thanks to Wikimedia Aotearoa New Zealand, who provided a grant allowing us to attend (as well as all sorts of other support).

#1Lib1Ref 9 May 2023[edit]

Hard at work adding references to Wikipedia

Te Papa held a 1Lib1Ref session for staff with guests Giantflightlessbirds and Ambrosia10.

Te Papa 1Lib1Ref session dashboard

The core team put in a full day of edits, joined by several other staff who got signed up and made their first edits, or worked on Wikidata for the first time. The mood (and the food) was great, with heaps of collaboration and chasing down rabbit holes.

The librarians who participated are all eager to keep things rolling, and all the new editors are preparing their next contributions.

By the numbers:

  • 12 editors, including 4 new sign-ups
  • 17 new wikidata items created
  • 102 articles edited, 167 wikidata items edited
  • Over 1000 total edits
  • 410 references added!
  • 91.5K words added

Some of the contributions:

Other recent contributions[edit]
