This box coordinates the level of organization of meetup events in the Northeast US.

Wikimedia New York City officially serves communities in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. Local committees and/or new chapters across the Northeast are also anticipated in future.

The eighth Philly Wikipedia Meetup occurred on Sunday, June 14, 2009. It was hosted by WikiProject Philadelphia.

The meetup was organized by mblumber with special guest Pharos.

Location[edit]

We met on the first floor of an otherwise empty Creese Student Center at Drexel University, between 32nd and 33rd streets on Chestnut at 3pm. Informal dining occured at Mikey's Philadelphia Sports Bar, located directly across 32nd street at approximately 5pm.

Meeting Minutes[edit]

We discussed Wikipedia Takes Philadelphia at local universities with Nicholas, and at University City High School with 1st LeadingEdge, and set a provisional date of October 4. We also discussed a longer-term project for photography and article-writing at University City High School over the next school year, and much of this discussion will appear in a upcoming Wikivoices podcast.
