Non-Interview/Non-News Sources

So for example, Vivienne Pinay grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and Vivienne doesn't do drag and barely did any interviews, but on her instagram, she confirmed that she is originally from Atlanta. I know @Another Believer prefers only inverview/new sources, but there's none for that little information of Vivienne. Same with NPB's own website. I was just wondering if I can use those as sources since Vivienne and Nicole did confirm themselves on what I wanna add and it's their own words? MiitomoChris (talk) 06:17, 8 February 2024 (UTC)

But isn't what they say on their website or social media reliable too? Because they own their website and instagram! And I know we aren't required to add every fact, but im a hometown nerd and I think it's nice to add where they grow up, because a lot of them are from small, conservative towns and as someone who's from that environment, it kinda makes me feel seen if that makes sense. Also, I know there wasn't much interest in creating Wikipedia:WikiProject Drag at WikiProject LGBT studies, but if you and any other editors feel strongly that you need a dedicated WikiProject for drag outside Drag Race, then be bold and start a new space! Or, put together a proposal at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals and see what happens! A lot of the time it seems the first episode is submitted for consideration by default, but I'm seeing the following episodes which are connected with an Emmy nom (assuming the Wikipedia page is correct):
  • Season 9: Oh. My Gaga! (costumes, hairstyling, makeup, picture editing)
  • Season 10: 10s Across the Board (directing, cinematography, costumes, makeup, picture editing, hairstyling)
  • Season 12: I'm That Bitch (directing, costumes, hairstyling, makeup, editing, sound mixing)
Also individual episodes of Untucked which have had Emmy noms include:
  • Untucked – "10s Across the Board"; Untucked "The Ball Ball", Untucked "The Bag Ball"; Untucked "The Daytona Wind 2" (picture editing)

I mean we should still make sure they'd be notable in general, I'm not entirely sure that the awards where the first episode gets submitted almost by default make those episodes notable -- something to discuss. This is a helpful exercise because I have already identified a couple errors in episode titles. For example, season 7 had "The Hello Kitty Ball" as the episode name, but "Hello, Kitty Girls!" is the actual title. Is anyone able to easily create a condensed checklist of episodes (perhaps from this) that we can use here to note which episodes have standalone entries and which do not? Since someone felt the need to redirect almost all episode entries indiscriminately, I'll start over, initially focusing on season 7 (with diffs as starting points):

  • expand episode descriptions
  • add details about the contestants' runway looks: descriptions, inspirations, commentary
  • add screenshots (fair use) to the infoboxes

  • when applicable, add details about songs and releases (discography, singles, EPs)

Recatted Secret Celebrity winners and results.

I created Category:RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race winners and put the articles for the celebrities in it and removed the drag names for the celebrities from Category:Drag Race (franchise) winners (so, for example, Jordan Connor was added to the first and Babykins La Roux (Jordan's drag race on the show) was removed from the second. So at this point, the articles in the franchise winners category (rather than in a subcat) are:

sortkeys for seasonlists

Based on what has happened on Drag Race Down Under, where the name change has put season 4 before the other three seasons in Category:RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under seasons, I propose that for each of the subcategories of Category:Drag Race (franchise) seasons, such as Down Under and Category:RuPaul's Drag Race UK seasons, that they have sort keys equal to their seasons, so for example, RuPaul's Drag Race UK (series 2), the sortkey is 02. I'm making the assumption here that none of the Drag Race Franchises will have more than 99 seasons, but if that is a concern, we can use 002.Naraht (talk) 13:59, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
