Scope – nationality

[edit]

Similarly, @Koavf, is the triple intersection of Category:Christian anarchists by nationality necessary? It has 50 items total, and that's before paring down. There is no enduring connection between nationality and Christian anarchism, and nationality is already handled and maintained separately from ideological beliefs. czar 11:41, 14 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Czar: It has been deleted before but someone recreated part of the tree, so I just finished diffusing it. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 16:11, 14 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Koavf, ah, I see the editor I pinged above recreated the American/French subcats. Any objections to bringing this back to CfD for upmerge, or does my logic hold? czar 10:54, 15 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Czar: None at all. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 17:08, 15 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Oscar Wilde

[edit]

One of the most famous Christian anarchists Oscar Wilde is missing from this list. Is it because some people think of him more as a Christian socialist than a Christian anarchist? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 100.15.206.153 (talk) 16:23, 21 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The categorization is based on what is sourced within the individual biography articles. You might want to start with searching the archives of Talk:Oscar Wilde. You can start a new discussion there if you have new sourcing. czar 16:56, 21 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Vandals keep coming in a deleting it along with my sourcing. Can I get some help over there? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 100.15.206.153 (talkcontribs)

Stop with the personal attacks and read up on what a reliable source actually is. Your personal blog is not a reliable source. If Wilde is indeed "one of the most famous Christian anarchists" then there will be plenty of reliable, published sources that say that. Cite one of those instead. I don't have a personal blog. My source is Oscar Wilde's The Soul of Man Under Socialism. Read it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 100.15.206.153 (talkcontribs)

This is why people don't trust Wikipedia. Historical facts take a backseat to consensus among editors. The facts is Oscar Wilde was a Christian anarchist. It shouldn't matter how many Wikipedia editors have a problem with that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Oscar Wilde scholar (talkcontribs)

Great, in that case you will have no problems whatsoever finding several reliable, published sources that demonstrate that. Otherwise, it is still just your opinion. Railfan23 (talk) 22:20, 5 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
