Safiabad (Persian: صفي اباد)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Garu Rural District of Kuhsarat District, Minudasht County, Golestan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,379 in 352 households, when it was in the former Kuhsarat Rural District of the Central District.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 1,568 people in 456 households, by which time the rural district had been separated from the district in the establishment of Kuhsarat District, and the village was transferred to the new Garu Rural District.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,666 people in 482 households.[2]
