DeVoto Memorial Cedar Grove[edit]

The DeVoto Memorial Cedar Grove in the Clearwater National Forest is on the Lochsa River in Idaho County, Idaho. There was (and may still be) a sign that read

"This majestic grove of western red cedar is dedicated to the memory of Bernard DeVoto, conservationist, author, and historian. He often camped here while studying the journals of Lewis and Clark. At his request, his ashes were scattered over this area."

Though it be a minor point, it might be worth mentioning in the article.
