Recommend new section. What happened to slaves after escaping?

[edit]

This article is okay, but it doesn’t explain what happened to these slaves, who had no money or education, actually did to support themselves after reaching freedom. It also neglects to mention how they were treated, as well as anyone else or were they looked down on. The north had a good deal of segregation too. I would add the info myself but am likely not a good enough editor to do it well. Until someone can accomplish this, I suspect the flaw will remain. Sych (talk) 19:37, 23 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
