Pronunciation of his middle name[edit]

We need to make the point that Taliaferro was pronounced, counter-intuitively, as "TOL-iver". I don't have a cite for this, though. -- JackofOz (talk) 08:59, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No worries, Google to the rescue. I've made the edit. -- JackofOz (talk) 09:09, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Southgate House[edit]

The Southgate House has a really rich history, and is now a major player in the Newport, KY nightlife scene. Newport on the Levee is a relatively new establishment that rivals downtown Cincinnati (just across the river) for bars and entertainment. Southgate House is now a major music venue for local and national acts. I'm really surprised there isn't an article for it. Anyone who lives in the area care to make one???? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.28.179.6 (talk) 17:03, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The "trench broom" nickname was given to the Winchester Model 97 shotgun, not the Thompson submachine gun. The shotgun was used extensively in WWI because of its close-quarters efficacy. Scarletknight (talk) 14:51, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
