Secret ending

I think the Secret ending deserves some mention.

Read the article. "A teaser for what appears to be a fourth title in the series can be seen after Kairi, Riku and Sora read the letter if the player accomplishes certain tasks." ' (Feeling chatty? ) (Edits!) 22:13, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

===I STRONGLY agree i came to this only to know about the secret ending. Samphex 00:20, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

You can go to a fansite for that. The Splendiferous Gegiford 00:23, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Still, it deserves more of a mention that that in the article. Using Gegi's argument, anything in the article can be found on a fansite. Are you saying we minimize the article as much as possible because it can be 'found on a fansite'? 70.89.127.3 16:17, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

You know, you really shouldn't expect a reply if you're talking to people who finished discussing this 4 months ago. Anyway, compared to the whole game, the secret ending took up maybe 5 minutes, maximum. Relatively speaking, it is mentioned enough. Axem Titanium 22:52, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

Piglet's Voice Actor

The IMDb says that Travis Oates voices Piglet. I'm going to add it for now. Remy

Eh, it's pretty much the only evidence we have. Travis Oates is in the cast list, after all. Geg 20:56, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

European Release Date

Has the release date been confirmed yet, or is the August 4 date a guess? Remy

The European release date is 25 August 2006.I keep editing it and I know i'm right but whoever it is keeps on changing it back.
Provide a legitimate source. Geg 16:09, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
Square Enix only confirmed an autumn 2006 release. [1] (PDF format) -- ReyBrujo 16:32, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
The release date was floating around June 1st, then mid year and now September (Although this is in regards to the Aurstralian PAL release though) Keyblade Wielder

It's not coming out in Europe or Australia, because if it was, it would have been released by now in both places.

Except that, you know, it's been announced by Square that it'll be released in Europe and Australia in Q3 2006. Der. Geg 21:47, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
I'm just expressing my frustration over these ridiculously long release gaps. Other games have been released in Europe two months after USA, such as the first Kingdom Hearts. I know perfectly well that KH2 is going to come out in Europe, but it's just that it should have come out a month ago.
Please, as if it wouldn't be released here. It was supposedly meant to be released June 1st by the way. Keyblade Wielder 09:58, 17 June 2006 (AWST)
Of course it will be released here, maybe in Q4 2006. Fitzblitz 07:30, 20 June 2006 (AEST)
Q4 2006? I wouldn't be surprised if it was pushed back for a 2007 release in Europe, no te jode. Jienum
Why the hell is it taking so long, anyway? It makes no sense. Jerkov 15:03, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
The official European website now says Autumn 2006 [2] -- Fitzblitz 09:05, 9 July 2006 (AEST)
Whoever put up the Australian release date of September 28 - could we have a source, please? --hirokazu 11:36, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
I put up a September 2006 release date becasue the Official Australian PlayStation Magazine confirmed it, as well as a few other magazines. If you want to change it then please write why here. -- Keyblade Wielder 07:57, 17 July 2006 (AWST}
At this point, it may not even be released this year. Dragon DASH 06:03, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

Here's another good example to prove this ridiculous release date of KH2 for Europe: I just heard of a new game called Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 about two months ago, when it was first announced that it would be coming soon to Japan as Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! NEO. They've already decided the release dates of Japan, USA and Europe. ALL THREE OF THEM ARE IN OCTOBER 2006. Now why on Earth wasn't it like that for KH2? WHY did it have to be for KH2? Jienum 18:30, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

And another thing: IF the game comes out in Europe, which I doubt it will, there won't be many sales as there were Kingdom Hearts 1, because by now everyone in Europe has bought it from USA and South American countries.
Jienum - Um, did you consider the fact that Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is a fighting game with minimal text to translate, as compared to an Action RPG which a rather large amout of text and perhaps a higher production value? I'd like it to be released faster too, but you can't really compare these two titles.
I don't mean to flame, but I find it rather stupid that there are people here who are still saying things like "IF the game comes out in Europe, which I doubt it will", when its already been confirmed. Seriously, is an official confirmation simply not enough these days? Also, not as many people import games as you may be led to believe. :P
Just one thing. Being "Jienum", it's really me, your old friend "Remy". Anyway, so what about the first Kingdom Hearts? I mean, there was still lots of text to translate, but it still made it out VERY shortly after the Japan and USA releases (2 months after USA) in Europe. Also, MANY release dates have been confirmed again and again and again, but the game still keeps getting pushed back. I'd be willing to bet all of my pocket money that KH2 is the first game in PS2 history to be released last in Europe. Jienum 16:52, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
Please stop commenting on the release date. Wikipedia is not a discussion forum. This talk page is for improvement of the article, not a forum. ' (Feeling chatty? ) (Edits!) 16:54, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
Duh, the title's called "European Release Date". Anyway, I think that for now, we should put "October 2006" in the release dates, since a while back we all saw a Belgian magazine scan state so. Jienum 22:37, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

Honestly all I care about is that it comes out in Europe. We have been royally screwed on the release dates and usually always do when it comes to video games, it ain't fair but at least they bother to release it. Whereas with Devil may Cry 3 they decided to release it on PC,over here, than on PS2 (go figure). Anyway, sorry for going offtopic, I think we should just be greateful it comes out at all.--5starsuplex 20:07, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

Okay, so maybe I have a little more compassion than I thought I did. Hopefully it'll arrive at some point, but I really have no power over this. At any rate, there is still little conclusive evidence towards a single definable EU release date. Axem Titanium 20:41, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
Well, they've just said on kh2.co.uk that if KH2 is not released on September 29th, it will definitely be released in the first half of October, because both Europe and Australia use PAL, and it shouldn't take that long for the game to come to Europe after Australia or Australia after Europe.
As you know, I live in Spain, and have just seen that KH2 has been officially confirmed to be released on the 29th of September in Europe, but I also noticed that KH2 has made a real revolution: KH2 was the first game ever to be released in Europe and Australia at the same time, and it is also the first ever Square-Enix game to be dubbed into Spanish. It really pisses me off to hear that after all this time of waiting, I find that KH2 is going to be the first Square-Enix game in Spanish dialogue. I'm going to have to settle with Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and wait another fucking year to buy KH2 on platinum from amazon.co.uk. Fucking Hell, it just had to be KH2 of all games! Jienum 14:16, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
Devil May Cry 3 was released AGES ago on PS2 in PAL territories. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hirokazu (talkcontribs)

The australia release date is actually on the 28th of september not the 29th like Europe gets it. I'm new here so i'm net going to change it so could so could some one change it http://au.playstation.com/news/kingdom_hearts_2_fl.jhtml —Preceding unsigned comment added by {} (talk • contribs)

Voice cast

Someone should edit this. It's way to long, and I know that the majority of people that read the KH 2 wiki dont really care about the voice cast. Perhaps make a new article for it and just link to there or something?

It's still an important aspect of the encyclopedia article; many game articles have the voice cast, and we've taken the time to be one of them. // The True Sora 14:23, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
Speaking of which, who speaks for Flotsam and Jetsam? If it's Corey Burton, why is it deleted every time I put it on the cast list? Remy
Well, in this case, because Flotsam and Jetsam didn't have speaking roles in KH2 unlike KH1. But Bill Framer did voice Pluto in the game and nobody adds that in.
Ahem. Final Fantasy X, a featured game article, has a section for voice-overs and its notability but no special section to list each and every voice actor on the main page. Having a voice actor list is helpful in terms of information but it detracts from the article as a whole. This isn't to say that it isn't helpful at all (as I have looked up voice actor names several times here), but I feel that it would be better served as a separate article with a link if nothing else.
Also, I'd be interested in seeing some of the game articles you claim to have voice actor lists similar to this one. Axem Titanium 02:42, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
I agree with your assessment. However, I haven't done such, as I believe it would be immediately reverted. I have a stronger hatred of the Trivia section, though. So pointless. ' (Feeling chatty? ) (Edits!) 21:49, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
I'd like to come to some kind of consensus about this. *cough* This is where other editors come in and say stuff. *cough* The trivia section does seem pretty pointless too... Axem Titanium 02:06, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
Well, I'm kind of biased since I spent a lot of time working on it, but I still think it should be kept, if only a partial list. Other articles with similar lists are Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII, although it doesn't have as many characters, and Final Fantasy XII, although not all the characters are known. The Splendiferous Gegiford 14:53, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
A partial list for major characters sounds good. Also, a good point to bring up in the article would be some of the controversy in the casting of characters. The remaining would be split into the List of Kingdom Hearts characters. Axem Titanium 17:53, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
Keep in mind that Final Fantasy X had to nuke its VA list to get Featured Article status. ' (Feeling chatty? ) (Edits!) 18:50, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
Thank you, Apostrophe. Awesome. So now I can just get rid of it. I'll be splitting it to List of Kingdom Hearts characters as planned. Axem Titanium 01:24, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Update: I've finished adding the voice actors into the characters page. Someone please check my work there against the list that was on the main page. Axem Titanium 23:01, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

I think a separate page that also lists who was the original voice actor for the Disney and Square character and where was the original voice actor used would be great.

I'm afraid I don't quite understand what you're suggesting. Axem Titanium 02:06, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
Something like-
Character | Voice actor | Original voice actor
Mickey Mouse | Wayne Allwine | Yes
Maleficent | Susanne Blakeslee | Eleanor Audley

--BKmetic 16:20, 30 July 2006 (UTC) User:Axem Titanium/Kingdom Hearts voice cast, just a preliminary thing to look at, if anyone's interested. Axem Titanium 16:07, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

Have all you guys got any idea what you're talking about? If the cast list is deleted, then we might as well delete the KH2 Page. EVERY SINGLE GAME PAGE that I've looked at has the cast list. I'll give you the examples of the Dragonball Z: Budokai game series. Jienum 14:08, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

AGAIN, Final Fantasy X is a FEATURED ARTICLE and does not have a cast list. Featured Articles are what we strive to emulate, not your shitty Dragon Ball Z games. ' (Feeling chatty? ) (Edits!) 16:16, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
For a change, Apsotrophe, first listen to what other users have to say and stick your bad language up your kilt. If Final Fantasy X is a featured article with no cast list, it should have one, and I am going to add it. Look at the Kingdom Hearts page, for god's sake! To tell the truth, it shouldn't make any difference whether or not the page is a featured article. It is only natural for a game article to feature the cast list. I don't know why it's seems so unimportant to you (I mean everyone) when it really is an important factor of a game. Jienum 19:52, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
How about, "for a change", you listen. All you have ever done in Wikipedia is push your vision of what sould be included and then whine your heart out when you don't get your way, ignoring other user's arguments along the way, which is what you're ironically accusing me of. After calling me a racist out of nowhere in my talk page, I cannot conlude that you are anything but a child. Get over yourself. ' (Feeling chatty? ) (Edits!) 21:32, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
I agree as well and right now there is no page that the cast list is featured on at the moment which is one of the problems. I personally don't care if this or any other KH page is on the featured aticle list just as long as it's nice and accurate without any overdetail and that non-noteable or strategy guide stuff deserves to be deleted. My opinion is that as long as I stick to these principles and as long as the cast list isn't fully deleted even if it does get moved to another page then I am satsified with that. -Adv193 20:09, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
If this page does not have a cast list, there should at least be a section that says Main Article: List of Kingdom Hearts Voice Talents. But I think the cast list on the page itself is much better. Jienum 20:13, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

For what its worth I am willing to help look for a way to perserve the voice cast list in some way without resorting to anger or re-establishing the list without ending this debate over the cast list first and just so you know Jienum choosing an irrational approach won't help put you point across. -Adv193 22:30, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

I guess that's some sort of consensus. I'll keep working on that table thing I was making. Marty Donakowski has suggested that said table should be put into List of characters in the Kingdom Hearts series. Any thoughts/suggestions about that? Axem Titanium 01:53, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

I agree to it as simply a possible solution and lend you my support Axem Titanium to help deal with this voice cast section issue, as I said before as long there is a solution to dealing with this issue and preserving it on Wikipedia in some way then I'll gladly help. -Adv193 02:25, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Finished with the table. Where should I put it? User:Axem Titanium/Kingdom Hearts voice cast Axem Titanium 04:22, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

Update: It's already at Voice cast in the Kingdom Hearts series. Axem Titanium 02:28, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Original worlds?

I changed the title of "Original worlds" to "Other worlds," because Disney Castle isn't original. However, Geg reverted it, and so I'm looking for some input here- should it be left as original worlds or changed to other worlds?

Well, I really only reverted it because we need that HTML warning thing about Chain of Memories counting as the second game in the series. But I guess it should stay as Original worlds as the worlds are more or less original to the Kingdom Hearts series. Geg 15:39, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
I agree that the others are original, but Disney Castle isn't, and saying that it is is unencyclopedic. // The True Sora 15:43, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
Is unencyclopedic a word... ? Whatever. I think the title should stay as "Original Worlds", even though I agree the Disney Castle thing is a bit sketchy. Technically, in the realm of the game, it is original to the Kingdom Hearts universe (the story for the Disney Castle world isn't exactly based on any film) but... I don't know. That's just my opinion. Pele Merengue 14:30, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
Disney Castle is not based off any Disney movie. Therefore it is an "orginal world" created for the Kingdom Hearts series. Pata Hikari 04:15, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
It's an "original" world, but it's also a "Disney-based" world. At any rate, it doesn't matter since the article doesn't make a distinction anymore. Axem Titanium 15:38, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

Tournament

I am adding a little about the tournaments in Olympus Coliseum. I think that should be a larger part of this article. We need more about the Mini games in General Felixboy 15:57, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

Novel

Its unclear if the novel mentioned is actually a grafic novel (or manga for those of you obsessed with specifics) or a real novel as in long story without pictures divided into chapters. could this be cleared up? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.125.95.154 (talkcontribs) .

"A novel series, with Tomoko Kanemaki as the author and Shiro Amano as the illustration artist, is currently going on" Well, there's illustrations. I don't know. --The Crowing 18:09, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

Fourth?

Actually, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of memories was a continuation from the first game. many Nintendo magazines, ( Nintendo Power), PSM, and EGM. Clearly states its a continuation. And that Kingdom Hearts 2 was called that for a Reason.

Now, What I ment for my comment on the fourth game was that It said "Fourth Game". Many users (Including myself) thought that it may have been a typo for say 'The future game called Kingdom Hearts 4' or something.

You could edit that part to 'The fourth game in the series'. But I guess asking that might not seem possiable. People seem smart here.

Edit: Alright hey! Done!

Thanks for your cooperation. Now wikipedia can be an easier place now. Awesome! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 172.168.43.57 (talkcontribs) .

in english words

ya...heh...You guys know lion king 1 1/2? CHAIN OF MEMORIRES is supposed to be like a 1 1/2 (or the kigdom hearts guys wanted more money, so they they threw in CHAIN OF MEMORIES so they were allowed to make KINGDOM HEARTS 2) NOW wikipedia is a happy place. ... Samphex 00:26, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Nope. You actually made it sadder.

What is Wrong with putting this article in the 1980s Retro Movement Category

Tron was a movie in 1982 and now its in the video game Kingdom Hearts. Kingdom Hearts 2 needs to be in the Category:1980s Retro Movement, but everytime it is added it is deleted. Please whomever is doing this please state your business in halting the purpose of documentation... Kingdom Hearts is an awesome series by the way and I don not want this to seem insulting. The category is meant for major references, not that it was released in the 80s. (Tigerghost 01:03, 16 June 2006 (UTC))

It's not that it's being found insulting or anything. It's just confusing to think that it's part of a "movement" just because it had a Tron level. Geg 01:06, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
Agreed. Nomura only put it in the game because he saw the Tron 2.0 game and liked the Light Cycles. It has nothing to do with a "1980s retro movement", nor is it a large part of the game to warrant such a category. ' (Feeling chatty? ) (Edits!) 03:16, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
Really, it's not that big of a deal. And it's not like the entire game is set in the 80s.

Auron

Dunno if it's worth mentioning, but I believe most (or at least some) of the Limit moves with Auron are based off of Auron's overdrives from FFX. (I'd check, but my friend stole it and refuses to give it back to me until she's done with it. D=) Also, would it be worth it to give a sentence or two more on Auron? He was an unsent in FFX, and there's a connection between that and the fact that Hades brings him back from the dead. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.31.12.62 (talkcontribs) .

Put it on his own article. ' (Feeling chatty? ) (Edits!) 21:10, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

Soundtrack

Is the soundtrack on KH2 the same as on KH1? Jienum —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 88.15.252.139 (talkcontribs) .

Not exactly... There are soem tracks from the original games there, but it's a little bit edited. But most of the music is somewhat "modernized". Less orchestral or piano things. If you've played the Sims and the Sims 2, those two are pretty good examples about the changes in music. Abby724 22:06, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

Question

I saw this sentence in the last paragragh of 'Disney Characters', it read something like this (Can't remember the exact words):

"Zach and Cody from the 'Suite life of Zach and Cody' were rumored to be one of Sora's partners in KH2"

I went ahead and deleted it from the paragraph, I'm sure it's not true. Could someone who has the game and has beaten it confirm this is not true?

Xaiver 13:23, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Not true at all. ' (Feeling chatty? ) (Edits!) 17:01, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

I hate it when some fool comes and says fake info about an article. It's not true. I am General456 01:01, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks. If you ever see any of that, you can either revert it or be rest assured that I or another editor will revert it eventually. Axem Titanium 02:28, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Spoiler alert

The spoiler alert seems to be missing from the article, it should be put before "plot overview"; I can't do that since I'm still trying to stay spoiler-free (thankfully I realized what I was reading and stopped), could somebody do it instead? Whitetigah 13:13, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

The spoiler tags had been removed previously per some discussion and will not be readded unless there is a consensus otherwise. Axem Titanium 21:04, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
