Organization of the Characters

[edit]

Just a suggestion to separate each of the characters using different heading levels to allow easier navigation via the Contents list. ~ 130.220.79.98 05:34, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Voice Actress of Saya Tokido

[edit]

The voice actress of Saya Tokido is NOT Harumi Sakurai but Kazane. You can get to know this fact from the official Web site of Little Busters!.

Though some people claim that these two persons are same, we should follow the oficial web site, don't we?

from JAPAN. --219.114.145.98 (talk) 09:11, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Considering that most seiyu go under multiple names, it's certainly not uncommon for Harumi Sakurai to be under an assumed name for voicing Saya, and there is evidence that they are one in the same person. So as to avoid a needless redirect, her true name is given in the article. But I'll make it so the name Kazane appears in the article, but still links to Sakurai.-- 09:36, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your answers. However, I should emphasize that it is taboo to look two Seiyus (either of them is acting in Eroge) as same person in Japanese Wikipedia. In fact, some people have exprerience to be banned to access to the edit page of the Seiyus as they wrote the other names of them in their Wiki page. Anyway, thank you for your dicision.--133.9.4.11 (talk) 06:33, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I guess the Japanese would be less tolerant of it since it's in regards to Japanese people, but there are limits to this. For example, Tomoe Tamiyasu is originally credited as Tomoe Tamiya when she voiced Rin/Sasami/Riki in this game, but it's very obvious that the two are the same person (such as, how I compared their singing voices, and there was no doubt about it), and that their names are nearly identical; so the two pages exist as one, under her real name so as not to create unnecessary articles related to the same person, especially if there's verifiable evidence to suggest any two are the same. In any case, I am glad we have reached a compromise.-- 08:59, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In my personal opinion, it has no problem to identify two persons as one person. As you said, most of them are obviously same person. Nevertheless, companies of Seiyus in Japan don't accept the fact because they think they must deny that Seiyus who are acting in Animes for children are doing so in porno games too. Unless officials agree about that, we souldn't tell twos as same even if they are actually same person. Since this is not easy problem, I think we can't finish the discussion only in this page.

Thank you for your sophisticated opinions.--133.9.4.11 (talk) 01:01, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I don't really think that's Wikipedia's problem. We're combining pages on the same person with different names for encyclopedic reasons and so as to avoid a content fork. Just because the companies want it so there's no relation between the names doesn't stop an encyclopedia from doing what it should be doing: providing accurate information on subjects, and making things as less confusing as possible for readers. What I find especially amusing on this issue, though, is when you have an H game with one cast of names, and then a PS2 version with another cast of names, but just by comparing the voices, it's painfully obvious that there was no change in casting, so while companies may try to avoid it, it's not the place for an encyclopedia to act the same way.-- 01:16, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I respect your Western style of thought. Japanese people tend to save meaningless rules. To tell you the truth, in my opinion, Japanese Wikipedia should change the style. Maybe, Japanese Wikipedia can't integrate two pages into one because of pressures from Seiyu companies. I hope Japanese pages will be reformed.--222.0.30.87 (talk) 12:18, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I just want to say that it's an interesting discussion, because in Chinese Wikipedea we have similar discussions, and the dominant view is very close to the way that Japanses peopel do it. However, I like this western way better. I created an page for Kazane ( because this name is more familiar to me, and I don't care that much what her real name is), and redirect Sakurai Harumi to it. I guess sooner or later the page for Sakurai Harumi will be rewritten by other people, unfortunately. --A02 (talk) 15:56, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
