Lead section[edit]

@Skyerise: What part of WP:CFORK actually supports your removal of the lead section? If anything, it seems to justify its inclusion:

  • "it is often a good idea to retain a structured list ... even when a table is provided with basically the same content"

Not to mention WP:SALLEAD:

  • "A stand-alone list should begin with a lead section that summarizes its content, provides any necessary background information, gives encyclopedic context, links to other relevant articles..."

Also, see literally every single video game FL. Despite my best efforts, I genuinely fail to see your reasoning behind the removal. – Rhain (he/him) 00:56, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The keyword here is summary. That does not mean say it in prose, then repeat it in a table. I've moved the prose to the main article, where it looks like it might be repetitive, but that's why we don't get repetitive in subarticles. Skyerise (talk) 00:58, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I mean, the history of game production by the company is relevant and should be included there (in Naughty Dog), right? And if it's included there... Skyerise (talk) 01:00, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Skyerise: You keep linking to WP:CFORK without actually referring to anything in particular. You're right, the lead should be a "summary"—which is what this is; this, however, is not. I once again direct you to literally every single video game FL, all of which have significant lead sections. Why should this be any different? – Rhain (he/him) 01:14, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
