Sequence and Years of Release[edit]

I believe many of these albums are out of sequence and listed with the wrong release date. If you look at the JazzDisco.org Oscar Peterson discography you can easily miss that it is ordered and dated by session date, not release date. Look at the release dates of Verve albums on the Verve discography and you'll see accurate release dates. I will start working through them, but it will take some time. Formatting[edit]

I formatted into tables. It still needs some work, especially with the record labels. Seems a little more easy to follow though. Revert if it needs lots of work, otherwise, let's keep at it.Airproofing (talk) 00:05, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Clef vs Mercury[edit]

The series Oscar Peterson Plays ...: Harold Arlen, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Vincent Youmans, Jerome Kern, Jimmy McHugh, et al was released on Clef Records not Mercury Records as some are listed here in this article. Clef later merged with Verve Records in 1956 who then reissued the series under the titles Oscar Peterson Plays the ... Songbook. Some of the original Clef titles are missing from this list: Jimmy McHugh (1955), as well as certain Clef records are listed incorrectly under Mercury.
