1.4 points per game[edit]

FACT: Skip Bayless only averaged 1.4 points per game. Step-trwcwd (talk) 19:32, 22 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

nicknames[edit]

am i the only person who finds it irritating when bayless thinks he's clever by coming up with stupid nicknames? prince james? team obliterator? new york brets? gee, did he need a journalism degree to come up with those? to all sportscasters: leave the nicknames to berman. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wellcraft11 (talkcontribs) 17:00, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Page 2[edit]

skip bayless is a wonderful person and knows alot about sports Skip "I'm a tool" Bayless isnt listed on page 2 as a writer anymore. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 128.174.29.155 (talk) 17:53, 21 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Another thing, the beginning of the article is inappropriate and wrong. Skip Bayless obviously wasn't born Terrel Owens Bayless and his nickname "Skip 'I'm a total douche bag" Bayless" needs to go.

The page should be locked, a lot of people are adding things like the above.

Relax, Skip ... Wikipedia has editors.

Request for redo.[edit]

Some parts of this "biography" are opinions and not actual fact. I request a redo on the article completely. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Thekingishere26 (talkcontribs) 18:18, 21 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

On that note, this morning Skip called out Wikipedia for having his birthdate wrong. I didn't catch the year, but I at least have the date changed. Did anyone hear what year he said? I think he said 1964, but it could easily have been 1954 because I had headphones in. Jklharris (talk) 16:56, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He said 1964 but they laughed at him, so he may have been joking about the year. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.55.214.85 (talk) 19:06, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

the line "celebrity wife Cyndy and on Rams owner Carroll Rosenbloom's" in my opinion should be changed to "celebrity wife Cyndy along with Rams owner Carroll Rosenbloom's" the way it is makes it a bit confusing i had to read it twice Latendresse76 (talk) 22:43, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dallas Cowboy fans editing page[edit]

There are regular revisions to this page by someone obiviously angry about Skip's views regarding the Dallas Cowboys. These edits are not based in fact and are, in fact, against Wikipedia's most basic policies. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.11.95.16 (talk) 05:07, 1 January 2008 (UTC) You know Skip you always rag on all the athletes and teams I like. If memory serves me correct back in 05 you kept ragging on the Longhorns not being able to win the big game and they shut you up. Now you have to rag on the Cowboys from last night's show. Why don't watch what you say and do your talking after the season you hater!! I like the cameo they gave you in the movie "Rocky Balboa" talking smack about everyone. I hope one of these athletes punches you in the face one day the way you deserve.[reply]

Another edit to remove opinion[edit]

In the criticism section, there were some opinions listed among facts. I am no fan of Bayless, but the continued editing of this page to complete villainize him goes against what Wikipedia is supposed to be about. Stick to the facts and keep your opinions on your blogs. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.11.95.16 (talk) 05:01, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I concur. The criticism section towards the end sound like regurgitation of "well i hear he said..." statement. Please use facts or citations in this section. --DavidD4scnrt (talk) 08:56, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Opinionated Comment removal[edit]

The comment "a facebook grop called "I hate Skip Bayless" is clearly poinionated and should be removed. obama=osama(Yomamma22) (talk) 21:30, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bayless Bio[edit]

The bio was very difficult to follow (in my opinion). It jumped all around with very little continuity. It also would have been interesting to have mentioned more about his debates with Woody Paige.

I mention all this not with the thought that I could do better, as I'm a reader, not a writer, but rather with the thought of constructive criticism.

Thanks for the bio, david91304 —Preceding unsigned comment added by David91304 (talkcontribs) 10:09, 28 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Listening to this radio segment, Wikipedia editors should be careful using Skip's quotes as factual: http://theticket.com/Portals/2/UserFiles/User104443/D&M-Skip_Bayless.mp3 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.30.173.113 (talk) 13:46, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Skip Bayless & Lebron James[edit]

How come there's no mention of his criticism of LeBron James? Is it not notable enough? Laker1988 (talk) 02:34, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request on 12 April 2012[edit]

I believe that a lot of people have been discarding Skip's page and I would want to add facts to his page to exonerate him of this catastrophe.

Not done: That is not how the template works. Since you have registered, you will be able to edit a semi-protected page after four days and ten edits. If you want to edit the page before that, you can use the template to say exactly what to change and someone will type it for you, unless there is a problem. No need for a personal fitness section[edit]

Why is his exercise routine significant for an entire section on his page? It should be removed, and probably replaced with a criticism section based on the several criticism from other sports journalists not the fan hate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.87.70.149 (talk) 21:59, 31 July 2014 (UTC) That was me, logged out and since that has only been up since late June, if no one protest by tonight, I'll go ahead and remove it because it's very insignificant. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mussobrennon (talkcontribs) 22:06, 31 July 2014 (UTC) I agree that this section is somewhat irrelevant, in particular because it does not bring up anything to date, and there are questionable sources. As a result, I removed it. -Username Bdavid1111[reply]

Recent Changes[edit]

I believe that the recent changes in the article need to be discussed. I certainly don't agree with the first sentence, calling him a star and, as discussed previously, the personal fitness section seems like it is non-notable based on the sources. Please discuss. --JumpLike23 (talk) 02:33, 29 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
