Fox News North

I don't think FOX News North should re-direct here. It has no affiliation to FOX, and has only been dubbed this by the Canadian media as an opinion not fact. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.38.59.161 (talk) 22:12, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

"Fox News North" could be an entirely mistaken and inaccurate label for the network but that doesn't mean it shouldn't redirect. For example, Condoleeza Rice is an inaccurate term for Condoleezza Rice, but it is listed as an example of a good redirect at Wikipedia:Redirect. Note that it also says in Wikipedia's Redirect policy "avoid deleting such redirects if: ... someone finds them useful..." Someone searching for "Fox News North" may be interested in finding this page. If such a search interfered with searches for other things, like FOX News, then, yes, there would be an issue but anyone searching for Fox News North is almost certainly interested in this network and not a FOX affiliate.--Brian Dell (talk) 02:09, 16 April 2011 (UTC)

Agreed. I suspect that at this point more people are familiar with the phrase "Fox News North" than "Sun News Network". Redirects aren't judgmental; they're for usability. -Joshuapaquin (talk) 22:46, 16 April 2011 (UTC)

Cleanup and NPOV

Someone has tagged this article as possibly requiring cleanup because a major contributor may have a close connection. Unfortunately, they didn't offer any more detail, but I imagine they're talking about me. I have a stated conflict of interest on my userpage and where I mention that I plan to watch this page and make non-controversial edits because I anticipate some vandalism and want to ensure accuracy. However, a look at my edit history and talk page shows that my edits have all been neutral and non-controversial. A admin also unblocked my account after agreeing with me on that point. So, I think that tag doesn't need to be there and will remove it in a few days unless someone disagrees. SunSteve (talk) 17:01, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

Channels

I changed the Analogue channel number from 52 to 15, as that's the correct number. (Trust me, I'm watching channel 15 right now, and it's Sun news.) If someone can explain how cable 15 translates to channel 52, please let do. (FWIW, channel 52, in Scarborough/Toronto shows Food network) AllanVS talk contribs 19:04, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

Channel 52 is the over-the-air channel (for those with antennas). -- Gridlock Joe (talk) 21:03, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

Ratings and viewership section relevant???

Although of interest at its launch, how relevant are the ratings now? There are no ratings sections for the other pages related to CTV News Channel, etc. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.246.31.102 (talk) 23:43, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
