New enough. Long enough. QPQ done. NPOV. Well-cited. Hook citation is offline, but the 1868 date is mentioned in many places online. Editor has a long track record in paleontology articles, so I will WP:AGF for the offline source. No close paraphrasing/copyvios found. Images suitably licensed for main page.
