  • New enough and defo long enough, while referenced by a host of great sources both online and offline. No copyvio detected, neutral tone. Awaiting QPQ Kingoflettuce (talk) 11:35, 27 May 2018 (UTC)

  • Hi, I came by to promote this. I wondered if you'd like to add something more to the hook:
  • ALT1: ... that after testing his techniques on hundreds of dogs, P. K. Sen led the first human heart transplant procedure in India? Yoninah (talk) 00:19, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
  • ALT1a: ... that P. K. Sen led the first human heart transplant procedure in India after first testing his techniques on hundreds of dogs? Philafrenzy (talk) 10:23, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
  • Thanks @Yoninah:. During 1963 and 1964, Sen and his group performed about 100 experiments on dogs to study rejection and to learn the most suitable techniques for heart transplantation[1]. Yes, it's correct about dog experimentation. Just keep in mind that all the first heart transplants in the world were performed following numerous dog and pig experiments. It's not peculiar to P.K.Sen. Otherwise, I'm ok with either ALT. I'm sure @Philafrenzy: will have a view. Whispyhistory (talk) 05:30, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
It's true but it does turn the article from one about an Indian medical hero to one about a vivisectionist. I have added Alt1a. I don't mind either but the choice does change the tone of the hook quite considerably. Philafrenzy (talk) 10:23, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
  • @Philafrenzy: no problem, we can use the original hook. But shouldn't we specify "human heart transplant"? Yoninah (talk) 13:48, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
Yes, Changed the first hook. I am not arguing for either, certainly the dog ones are much more clickable, but they are also much more likely to lead to vandalism on the day. Philafrenzy (talk) 13:59, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
  • Restoring tick (I can view source online) per Kingoflettuce's review. Yoninah (talk) 18:30, 9 June 2018 (UTC)
