Notice

The article Sun Xiaochuan has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Sun Xiaochuan moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Sun Xiaochuan, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Some advice on the article Sun Xiaochuan.[edit]

I will comment in both English and Mandarin in this topic.

我在这个话题中将使用中英双语。

I know you want to spread knowledge to the world with what you have already know. But it seems that you are not so used to English writing style (I mean punctuation, spelling, translation and so on).

我知道你是个狗粉丝,想要将抽象文化传播给全世界。但是看起来您对英文写作格式不是很熟练(我的意思是英文标点,比如逗号前跟后不跟,拼写,中文翻译需要注意的事项等等)。

And it appears that you are new to Wikipedia, so if possible, you can write the new article in your sandbox and move the page to the main article.

还有,似乎您是维基百科的新用户,如果可能的话,你可以在你的沙盒中先写一个条目,再将写好的草稿移动到你要写的条目。

For more help, you can contact me on my talk page. As to Chinese Wikipedia community, you can find it at zh:WP:QQ.

如果还需要更多帮助,请在我的用户讨论页中留言。至于中文维基百科社群,你可以在这页找到。

Many thanks. 非常感谢。-- BrandNew Jim Zhang (talk) 14:21, 15 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

Your draft article, Draft:Sun Xiaochuan[edit]

Hello, 金色黎明. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Sun Xiaochuan".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 21:20, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello 金色黎明, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your additions to Niet Molotoff have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. I see no evidence that the translation has no copyright. Thank you. Hello, I'm Mr.weedle. I noticed that in this edit to Kingdom of Essex, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mr.weedle (talk) 02:24, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:42, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Massachusetts. Could you please include edit summaries with all your edits, so others know what you are doing. Thanks for your cooperation. Magnolia677 (talk) 12:17, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

金色黎明, I agree with the above comment. Comments really should be explained; a failure to do so can cause extra work for other editors, as it just did for me, since I had no idea what you were doing in Dane Eagle and James Moylan. You have not explained any of your edits, ever, and you should certainly have done so after Magnolia677's comment. Please consider that this is a collaborative project. Thank you. February 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 21:00, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect date metadata in Benning Wentworth article[edit]

You changed the birth and death dates in the infobox to use date templates. The input for these templates must be in the Gregorian calendar otherwise they emit false metadata. But the birth date, July 24, 1696, is a Julian calendar date. Thus the date templates must not be used. Jc3s5h (talk) 19:35, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
