Speedy deletion nomination of JJCC

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on JJCC requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. reddogsix (talk) 22:40, 23 March 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for all your recent updating :)

Friendly reminder: Please note the "RELATED SHOWS" on the info box should only be used if the drama is a prequel or sequel to the drama. Also if the drama has characters doing a cameo from other dramas. Such as Happy and Love Forever, Sunny Happiness, Happy Michelin Kitchen where Annie Chen's character Pan Xiao Nuo appear as the same person in all 3 dramas. Jud82877 (talk) 13:57, 5 April 2014 (UTC)

Non-notable awards

001Jrm, when creating/adding awards to awards pages or articles, do not add awards that do not have a separate awards page per WP:INDISCRIMINATE. Wikipedia is not an endless list of awards that no one has heard of. If they can't click to find out more information then there is no point to have it. Not every award a person has ever been nominated for has to be present. LADY LOTUSTALK 20:32, 23 May 2014 (UTC)

Okay, thanks for telling me! I just want you to know that some of the awards are notable enough. Those award-giving bodies just don't have people creating pages for them. That's why I'm taking my time creating the awards pages. Oh, and there's also this page: (PMPC Star Awards for TV) that you unconsciously omitted. Thanks again and see you around! :) 001Jrm (talk) 01:15, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
It's not your job to create pages for them. You also don't have to take your time creating individual award pages for every year that award was made. 舎利弗 (talk) 08:19, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
I know that it's not my job. I just want to improve the article/s, that's all. 001Jrm (talk) 08:23, 24 May 2014 (UTC)

GOCE July copy-editing drive

Hi 001Jrm, thank you for your help with the GOCE's July backlog reduction drive. Unfortunately I've noticed your wordcounts are inflated and I've opened a conversation about it here on the drive's talk page. Could you please check your wordcounts here and amend them where necessary? If you need any help, just ask; I realise drives can be confusing when you're not used to them. Cheers, Baffle gab1978 (talk) 03:31, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

Hi there! I already replied on the talk page, and I think I really did wrong there. I'm just gonna say that it's not really my intention to inflate the word counts for no reason and I'm really sorry for that. Anyway, my problem now is I already edited the articles, which makes it more confusing now as to how I can count the words before my edits. Could you teach me how to count them properly? Thank you so much!! 001Jrm (talk) 05:29, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
Done updating my list.. Thanks so much! 001Jrm (talk) 05:26, 2 August 2014 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale

Hi,

I write re: the Disputed fair use rationale of the following files:- File:I Love You so Much Taiwan OST.jpg ‎ (tagged disputed fair use rationale) File:SmilingPastaOST.jpg ‎ (tagged disputed fair use rationale) File:MyQueenTaiwanOST.jpg ‎ (tagged disputed fair use rationale) File:TW drama Love Around book.jpg ‎ (tagged disputed fair use rationale) File:GoinBulilitDVD.jpg ‎ (tagged disputed fair use rationale) File:PrinceTurnsIntoFrogOST.jpg ‎ (tagged disputed fair use rationale) File:BullFightingOST.jpg ‎ (tagged disputed fair use rationale) File:MyLuckyStarOST.jpg ‎ (tagged disputed fair use rationale) File:CornerWithLoveOST.jpg ‎ (tagged disputed fair use rationale) File:SummerXSummerOST.jpg ‎ (tagged disputed fair use rationale) File:SweetRelationshipOST.jpg ‎ (tagged disputed fair use rationale) File:YingYe3Jia1OST.jpg ‎ (tagged disputed fair use rationale) File:RollingLoveOST.jpg ‎ (tagged disputed fair use rationale) File:InTimeWithYouOST.jpg ‎ (tagged disputed fair use rationale) File:BrownSugarMacchiatoOST.jpg ‎ (tagged disputed fair use rationale) File:TheLegendOfBrownSugarChivalriesOST.jpg ‎ (tagged disputed fair use rationale) File:HotShotTaiwanDrama.jpg ‎ (tagged disputed fair use rationale) File:TheyKissAgainOST 1.jpg ‎ (tagged disputed fair use rationale) File:ItStartedWithAKissOST.jpg ‎ (tagged disputed fair use rationale) File:FatedToLoveYouOST.jpg ‎ (tagged disputed fair use rationale)

I know the 'non-free use rationale dispute tag' states to correct concern in the rationale but it is more than that. My reasons, as stated on the dispute tag, are that the images of the OST album/book covers, are not discussed within the text nor sourced by third party references/secondary reliable sources, hence not subject to critical commentary per WP:NFCI and fails WP:NFCCP#8. To apply this to the above files. The album, eg number of tracks, versions and singers, are discussed in the text and sourced to a reference but critically to satisfied WP:NFCCP#8, the images or the artwork of the album cover themselves are not discussed in the text nor source. The WP:NFCI talks about the cover art and not item that artwork represent.

For example, the alternate cover of Lady Gaga's The Fame Monster is one such case, where the image itself is discussed with reference. For further details on why images without external commentary in reliable sources cannot be included in Wiki articles, see the deletion discussion Wikipedia:Files for deletion/2012 September 25#File:BornToDieParadise.png regarding the alternate cover of Lana Del Rey's Born to Die, where the deletion was also upheld at Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2012 October 12. Free feel to ask if you have anymore questions.--Michaela den (talk) 04:26, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

Here is a detail discussion on OST cover artwork in articles on the talk page of Wikipedia:Non-free content, that clarifies some more points - [[1]] --Michaela den (talk) 04:37, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
Oh ok, I understand it! Since I discussed the soundtracks and such, I thought that that's already enough. I'm glad you told me these things! Should I just remove the images from the articles and wait til they become orphan images? Thanks again! 001Jrm (talk) 04:59, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
PS. btw, I actually used this as an example, and after re-reading it, I noticed that it was just similar to my edits. The only things that weren't on my edits are the charts and ratings.. I hope you wouldn't mind if I'm still hesitating. :) 001Jrm (talk) 06:05, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

DYK for Paano Ang Puso Ko?

Darren Espanto

Hi there. I was planning to make a page for Darren Espanto months ago, however I saw you already created one. Good job!

I started editing here in wikipedia around 2009 but I got very busy in college so here I am returning to this site as an editor.

I see that you did really well in Darren's page, if you don't mind I would like to help you improve that page and hopefully that article will become a Wikipedia:Featured_article in the future. One of my missions as an editor in this site is to improve the quality of the articles in this site particularly filipino biographies and other articles related to our country. I assume you're a fellow filipino as well since I saw you doing a good job editing some filipino articles here.

By the way, one of the pages that I'm trying to improve years ago was Sarah Geronimo that was 2010, and from C-Class article I was able to improve it and send it to Wikipedia:peer_reviews and eventually it passed the reviews and became a B-Class article. It was supposed to become a Wikipedia:Good_article, however as I've said I became very busy at school and the article was vandalized by a lots of people.

Anyway hope you will let me help you with Darren Espanto's page. Have a nice day!

White paladin888 (talk) 12:23, 5 August 2014 (UTC)

Hi there @White paladin888:! When I saw Darren's popularity in the Philippines, I knew that I just have to make a page for him. Since it's too early to create a page for himself, however, I had to wait a bit more before it becomes notable enough. Well anyway, I'm glad for your participation on the article and your enthusiasm to make it into a featured article. Of course, you're very much welcome to join! Although I think that there's still a long way to go before it reaches that spot, we'll just have to do our best! :)
Yep, I'm also a Filipino editor, and I'm glad you approached me. As much as I want to help you with Sarah Geronimo's page, however, I'm not sure if I can help you with that... for now. I'm also a university student, and school's about to start in September. Before my summer ends, I'm trying to finish as much as I can with my own projects, while keeping my eye on the articles on my watchlist. I'll still try to help you with editing as much as I can, but I'm saying sorry right now if I can't.
I'm really glad to meet you, fellow Filipino editor. I hope we'll keep in touch and welcome back here! :)
BTW, I removed the performances section on Darren's article since I believe it's not needed there. It has already been added on The Voice Kids' page + if we add those, might as well add his performances during The Next Star... which I personally don't recommend. I hope you won't be offended. 001Jrm (talk) 05:13, 6 August 2014 (UTC)
Hi. Don't worry I understand your reason regarding the performance section, actually I saw Kelly Clarkson article which was rated a GA(Good Article) before and somehow I got the idea of adding it. Oh well nevermind that. :-)
I'm gonna do some research regarding Darren because I noticed that there are some importnant things that aren't included in the article, of course I need a good sources for that.
By the way I understand that you're very busy with your school, that is the reason why I had to leave this site as an editor before.
Anyway regarding Sarah Geronimo article, I don't know how I'm gonna fix it, but thanks for your concern. The article was vandalized from time to time by her haters and some by her fans, making the article like a fansite. I might check my last edits on that article (February 2010) I think wherein it was supposed to be going to a GA(Good Article) and from there I will work on towards the present time of her career. Thus, I need to research a lot about her career from 2011-present, a lot of work to do. Wish me luck!
And yeah let's keep in touch. I'm also happy to meet a fellow Filipino editor here. :-)
White paladin888 (talk) 16:34, 6 August 2014 (UTC)
Ohh, okay. Now that you've said it, I've tried to look for David Archuleta and saw the performance table too. I stand corrected and I apologize for that. Well, if you really want to add that, go ahead. :) (Already added the performance table. Should we also put his performances during The Next Star?) Also, it would be (much) better if there's at least an image of him. Too bad I don't have any photos of him. Once he comes back here in Canada, particularly in Toronto, I'll surely have one.
I also understand the situation wherein people destroy the article by vandalizing and/or adding information that wouldn't help the readers. I think what you can do (for Sarah's article) is to add/request for a page protection for persistent vandalism. In that way, other experienced editors can check the changes made by non-experienced ones.
Wish you the best! If ever you needed help, you can come to me anytime! Do you have fb/twitter account? That would be easier for both of us.. I think. But it's also ok if you'd prefer to talk here instead! :) 001Jrm (talk) 03:36, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
No problem, I think your table is better than what I put before. Cool. Well I'm also thinking if we're going to put his performances during the The Next Star. Regarding the image, I talked to some of his fans if they have any photos of him and they told me there's a lot of photos in his personal facebook account and his father's facebook. But I don't know if I can use some of them since it's not my work but maybe I can leave a message and ask permission.
Good idea regarding Sarah's article. I'll request a a page protection for that when I start working on that article again, I hope I have a lot of spare time to fix that vandalized article since I'm also busy with my business.
Yeah I think it will be much easier for both of us if we're friends in facebook, here's mine (received)(You can remove this link after you add me as a friend, of course some people are dropping here and I don't want everyone to see my face. I'm shy you know? LOL.) Have a nice day! :) White paladin888 (talk) 10:15, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
Yep! Got it :) Thanks so much! I already added you :) Regarding Darren's image/s, I tried to message his father for a permission, but he hasn't responded to me yet. He's probably just taking a caution from crazy(?) fans. haha XD Kk.. see you on FB :D 001Jrm (talk) 22:20, 7 August 2014 (UTC)

Hi @WayKurat: Thanks so much for informing and mentioning me this news. As much as I want to get involved on the discussion page, however, I was already late. I'm glad that the user was already banned (at least indef) though. I thought it was only me that had a not-so-good discussion with him before. I salute you and other involved editors for your discussion concerning the problematic user's ban.
School already started here so I will be editing on Wikipedia much lesser than my usual edits. Nevertheless, if you need any help concerning the user (or in general), you can come by and leave a message on my talk page anytime. I'll gladly help you as much as I can! Again, thank you very much and good job! See you around! 001Jrm (talk) 02:42, 3 September 2014 (UTC)

001Jrm, I've made a number of edits to the article, mostly in the hopes of improving the prose and referencing so that the article is more likely to sail through the DYK nomination.

There were a few places where I have removed facts that I couldn't confirm from the sources. I hope I haven't done so in error. The big one was related to the death of his mother, which is supposed to have been five days before the blind auditions. I couldn't find anything about the five days, or indeed anything about auditions being in November 2013, in any of the sources. I'll be the first to admit that Google translate is far from ideal on any Filipino language source, but I didn't see anything even close. Which source was it? Also, while I could find a number of sources saying that he was "in the care of" his uncle Giovanni after his mother's death, and apparently lives with him now in Manila, there was nothing specific about Giovanni taking him to auditions. (He was with his grandmother Erlinda at at least one interview.) Finally, the "storytelling" characterization seems to have come from Geronimo, not both her and Mañalac; I couldn't find where JK gave his reasons for choosing Mañalac—"help him a lot raising him as a singer" was what the article said, which isn't very clear (and I couldn't think of a way to rephrase it without additional information).

I hope you think this has helped the article. If you have sources for some of the information I took out, by all means restore it with the appropriate source. About the DYK nomination: I'd like to try to come up with a new hook suggestion, since "ironically" isn't in the article, and irony is subjective. I'll try to have it ready in the next day or so. Thanks! BlueMoonset (talk) 23:54, 5 September 2014 (UTC)

Hi there @BlueMoonset: Thanks for copy-editing the page (and of course, the article improved ^^). Many users had already added, changed, and/or rephrased some of the information after I created the article, so some info is might be unclear. One confusing part may be the auditions. There were two auditions on The Voice Kids: (1) the informal audition held five days (limang araw in fifth paragraph) after his mother died (pagpanaw ng kanyang ina in the same line) on November 17 last year (2013); and (2) the formal "blind" auditions, in which his uncle Giovanni was with him as seen in the video at around 0:12. Also, I believe her grandmother Erlinda was the one who asked for financial help from the governor and was also with JK during an interview after The Voice. Concerning the "storytelling" comment, I remembered that I only indicated Geronimo stating that. (It's probably the other user/s who modified that). Lastly, JK's reason for choosing Manalac -"help him a lot raising him as a singer".... I'm not sure why it was added in the article either. haha! hmmmm... based on this site, JK stated: "Based on my calculations, itong coach na 'ito, bagay sa akin, alam ko siya ang talagang makakatulong sa akin. Lea, ay joke,". The literal translation would be "Based on my calculations, this coach, fits me, I know he/she can really help me. Lea, joke,"... or simply "The coach that I'm going to choose will absolutely help me (most likely pertaining to his singing career).", then picked Manalac afterwards. It's probably the wrong translation, use of words, and or the use of quotation marks that confused you.
For the hooks, I'll just comment on its nomination page if that's okay. Regarding the info with sources, on the other hand, I might just add them in the article later on because school had already started this week and... yeah, I'm officially busy in real life.. lol! Again, thank you very much for your help! I appreciate it... a lot! :) 001Jrm (talk) 06:44, 7 September 2014 (UTC)

K-pop music program updates.

Hi, I'm brilliantradience and I just wanted to help update the times for the K-Pop music shows. I wanted to watch Simply K-pop streaming live, so I checked the running time on the wikipage. It ran 2 days earlier (friday not sunday) and also at 1:00 and not noon as previously stated. Music Core was also wrong and I missed the airing by an hour, Inkigayo is also incorrectly listed but I managed to catch some of the performances. I've edited the times for those 3 shows and I'm positive the Simply K-pop is accurate because it's on their homepage, the Music Core not sure if I'm repeating bad info, but I know for a fact Inkigayo is wrong. 2:20 PM KST is not the correct start time.

I realize this is a great responsability to have accurate information presented to those who might depend on it, but at the same time I don't know what I'm doing so I write to you in the hopes that someone in the community could help out. If you could forward this to anyone with the proper info that would be awesome.

P.S. congrats on all your commendations, 001Jrm hwaiting!.Brilliantradience (talk) 07:33, 21 September 2014 (UTC)brilliantradience

Hi there @Brilliantradience:! I'm glad that you came to me, though I have to inform you that I can't help you with the music shows for several reasons. First, I'm busy in school right now that I can't update them for the next weeks. I'm also not too familiar with the running times and such.
