date of birth missing should be placed in the talk page
Please note that Category:Date of birth missing should be placed in talk pages. -- Magioladitis (talk) 10:55, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
- That makes sense. I'll do that in future (though I won't create a talk page just to add a category). 1ForTheMoney (talk) 11:05, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks. You can always create the talk page to add the {{WPBiography}} though. :P -- Magioladitis (talk) 15:21, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
- True. But with random articles, you never know what you'll get. 1ForTheMoney (talk) 18:52, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Hello. I don't think there's anything too complicated, here - just keep on top of the incremental warning levels, and make sure that every time he vandalises the RuneScape article he gets the next highest level. If he keeps it up, he'll be blocked in due course, and will have to explain himself when requesting an unblock. It's the same as any other vandal who doesn't seem to be listening to warnings. --McGeddon (talk) 17:32, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- They do seem to be doing some good work, though it doesn't excuse poor editing on a particular article. If he does get blocked, I hope it'll sharpen his mind. 1ForTheMoney (talk) 17:55, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
Runescape edit
Yeah, sorry about that. My younger brother was on my laptop, guess he was just mucking about. I guess I will remember to log out from now on! I didn't get the chance to change it, it was really busy at work this week.
Thank you for informing me about the problem. It's people like you who keep wikipedia credible.
Chieframhorn (talk) 21:33, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
- Your contributions seem to confirm it. No problem, then. 1ForTheMoney (talk) 22:44, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
Why remove the new Graphics engine at the Runescape Artice
Its almost done already so... WHY REMOVE? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Briapv (talk • contribs) 19:18, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
- I know that, and I intend to add some relevant information to the article (I'd probably have ended up removing your edit and shifting it further up the section). I just worry that there's an imbalance of information between graphics and sound - currently 6 paragraphs to 1, and this would make it 7 to 1. I don't like that. 1ForTheMoney (talk) 19:34, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
- Oh ok i understand i made almost a News Section(and not really a Wiki) but it seems u wikified it a bit, thanks for it —Preceding unsigned comment added by Briapv (talk • contribs) 16:35, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- That's okay. Keep in mind that Wikipedia isn't a crystal ball, and that the article doesn't take game-guide material. 1ForTheMoney (talk) 19:36, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

Of course all that is welcome on the Runsescape Wikia... Rich Farmbrough, 11:40, 3 September 2009 (UTC).
- Pretty much anything related to RS is welcome on that Wiki, but that goes without saying...1ForTheMoney (talk) 16:47, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
Thanks

Thanks for correction; http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Raja_Ramanna_Centre_for_Advanced_Technology&oldid=315562560 Could you please help me found an Expert.( Abu Torsam 07:58, 23 September 2009 (UTC))
- Thank you, but my work has been focused mostly on replacing the deprecated {{expert}} tag. However, if you ask at WikiProject India, you might find someone to help you. 1ForTheMoney (talk) 15:53, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
Runescape edit (lol same title different stuff)
"Players may also summon a familiar to assist with combat, and use potions and the Prayer skill to boost their combat ability and defences."
Why does it not matter if they are members or not? To me that seems like something that should be pointed out.Accdude92 (talk to me!) (sign) 20:05, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
- Probably. But the average reader doesn't need to know that it's members-only. Ah well, until somebody actually looks at this, I've got nothing much to do. 1ForTheMoney (talk) 20:45, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
Thanks!
For adding the date to the expert-help-needed tag I put on nigra -- that was my first time putting any tag on an article, and I actually even left out the relevant project after the pipe at first (oops). I appreciate the formatting help; I see you've made cleaning up the now-defunct version of the expert tag one of your pet projects, so I imagine you've got all the expertise in that area I lack. Speaking of which... what is the rule for requesting expert attention for more than one area on the same article? I had a hard enough time learning the basics of the tag -- it really needs to be better cross-referenced with new tag-users in mind -- and I was hoping you might know.
(Also, while I'm here: I loved your "Zen wisdom" about edit counts. Very reminiscent of actual koans.) (Other also: Ordinarily I would've put the article title in the subject, but I thought you might prefer not to have it big & bold on your talk page.) Makingyouhungry (talk) 23:57, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you. Cleaning up uses of {{expert}} has been a pet project since about August 2009 - I estimate I've replaced 2000+ uses of the tag. The problem is that {{expert}} is deprecated in favour of {{expert-subject}} and {{expert-subject-multiple}}, yet people keep adding it because it's simpler, they don't know that it's deprecated, and because of this script.
- On top of that, if you use {{expert-subject}} without specifying a WikiProject, the tag won't work properly - go ahead and try it. Until I find someone to modify the tag, it's the best I can do. But, now to your questions.
- Dating tags is just a way of sorting them, and isn't actually necessary. It helps interested editors see which articles have been tagged the longest.
- You can tag a section of an article by placing
{{expert-subject|section}}
on top of a section - lots of tags work this way. If you want to tag an article under more than one WikiProject, use{{expert-subject-multiple}}
or {{expert-subject-multiple|type=section}}. Of course you need to add the relevant project names as well. - The page on edit counts wasn't created by me - it's just a tool that brings up the number of edits someone has made. In my case, quantity doesn't indicate quality, what with replacing all those tags!
- If someone edits your talk page, you get a big orange banner on your screen so you'll always know. As for being big and bold, I don't mind so long as it's for a good reason. 1ForTheMoney (talk) 00:15, 29 December 2009

- Ah, thanks! 1ForTheMoney (talk) 18:24, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
- I also meant to ask whether you were aware of Dr PDA's pd script: User talk:Dr pda/persondata.js - speeds up addition of pd template when article already has the data in an ibox. – ukexpat (talk) 18:27, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
- I tried that but it doesn't seem to work in Vector. Unless it changed without my knowledge? 1ForTheMoney (talk) 18:33, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

- Well, I'm not planning to go back to Monobook so it'll have to be copy-and-paste. 1ForTheMoney (talk) 21:02, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

- I'll drop User:Dr pda a note and ask about Vector support. – ukexpat (talk) 21:46, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
I just tried it in Vector and it does work - you will see it in the drop down list by clicking on the down arrow next to the "add to watchlist" star. Enjoy!--ukexpat (talk) 21:55, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
No, still not working. (This is why I never bothered with semi-auto editing.) 1ForTheMoney (talk) 22:01, 15 March 2010 (UTC)Ah, there it is. 1ForTheMoney (talk) 22:03, 15 March 2010 (UTC)- On balance, I don't particularly like this. I'm gonna stick to good old-fashioned editing. 1ForTheMoney (talk) 22:10, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
