Welcome to The Wikipedia Adventure![edit]

Hi AR.Dmg! We're so happy you wanted to play to learn, as a friendly and fun way to get into our community and mission. I think these links might be helpful to you as you get started.

Your edits to Kasautii Zindagii Kay (2018 TV series) made a mess of the references. Note that the "References" section now as a number of red entries. Those don't work. Please use a {{cite news}} or {{cite web}} wp:template. See help:footnotes. Shall I just undo your edits? Jim1138 (talk) 07:48, 24 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed this issue as well. AR.Dmg, I'm unclear on why you felt the need to change some of the references. I understand if the series was postponed updating the date and adding a new reference, but in these changes what was wrong with the Mid-day reference being used to support the idea that it was a Star Plus series? Anyway, if you're going to change references, you should change the entire template, updating the title, access date, etc., or, just put a url between two ref tags like: <ref>https://www.indiatoday.in/television/soaps/story/ekta-kapoor-s-kasauti-zindagi-kay-2-delayed-new-premiere-date-revealed-1321259-2018-08-23</ref> That's the simplest solution, and these can usually be upgraded to full references fairly easily. When you put text in double brackets like {{this}}, the Wiki software interprets that as a template, and tries to process it as such. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:48, 24 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

October 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Yogita Bihani. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 07:43, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Yogita Bihani.jpeg, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content [7], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. (See section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then you should do two things. First, please state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions. Second, please add the relevant copyright tag.
  • It is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. (See section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the file is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
  • The image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. (See section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:08, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Image formatting in infoboxes[edit]

Hi there, re: this and this, images in the infobox should not be formatted this way, because we don't want to have windows within the Infobox window. The correct way:

|image = Kriti_Verma.jpeg
|caption =Verma at home

You'll notice that you don't need the "File:" before the image name, and the caption goes in its own parameter. Please also note that we shouldn't be describing the subjects as "KV" and "YB". We would use their surnames. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:03, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for November 5[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ohanna Shivanand, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Punjab University (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Please stop uploading images![edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload files. However, it appears that one or more of the files you have uploaded or added to a page may fail our non-free policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted file of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. DMacks (talk) 14:02, 26 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I see you have also tagged the photographs of people as "This image is of a drawing, painting, print, or other two-dimensional work of art," and other incorrect and self-contradictory licensing tags. Please read carefully what you are posting. DMacks (talk) 14:05, 26 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Zack knight.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Zack knight.jpeg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. DMacks (talk) 14:03, 26 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Charlie chauhan.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Charlie chauhan.jpeg.

See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Kriti Verma requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. ‑‑V.S.(C)(T) 12:15, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Excuse me[edit]

Can you kindly explain to me the reason why when you applied for New page reviewer rights, you copied my earlier request almost 100% word by word? I feel this doesn’t help you one bit - it’s incredibly dishonest and shows you don’t understand, deep down in our heart, what you are applying for. (You also claimed that you created “Good Article” - but I couldn’t find any article you created that had that status. Wikipedia:Good articles.) Warm regards, Zingarese talk · contribs 20:59, 23 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

some important guidelines[edit]

Please read these TV articles related guidelines properly.

  • MOS:TV - Manual of Style for Television
  • Template:Infobox television - Information about the parameters to be used in the television article infobox
  • WP:ICTFSOURCES - WikiProject Film/Indian cinema task force Guidelines on sources for films and TV
  • WP:NOTTVGUIDE - Wikipedia is not TV guide so we don't add information like Time slots and other airing history
  • WP:CRYSTAL- Wikipedia is Not Crystal ball so we don't add scheduled or expected future events like adding end date of the series before the actual date and updating episodes in advance.
  • WP:PROTAGONIST - We don't add interpretive labels like Protagonist, Antagonist, Lead and supporting roles.
  • WP:ELNO - Links to be avoided
  • WP:NOINDICSCRIPT - Avoid the use of Indic scripts in the lead sections or infoboxes. Instead, use International Phonetic Alphabet pronunciation guides, which are more international.

There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A tag has been placed on File:Munni Badnaam Hui (song).jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

Speedy deletion nomination of Flint J[edit]

Hello AR.Dmg,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Flint J for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

These edits[8][9] do not look like they were made in good-faith, certainly not when Mr. Smart LION clearly linked to WP:NFF. You need to familiarise yourself with this content guideline if you plan to edit film articles. It reads: "Films that have not been confirmed by reliable sources to have commenced principal photography should not have their own articles, as budget issues, scripting issues and casting issues can interfere with a project well ahead of its intended filming date. The assumption should also not be made that because a film is likely to be a high-profile release it will be immune to setbacks—there is no "sure thing" production." Editors such as yourself are expected to adhere to community guidelines. If you can't prove that principal photography has been filmed, then the article can reasonably be redirected, or deleted. Dabangg 3[edit]

You actions related to article were inappropriate.

  1. You moved to Draft:Dabangg 3, tagged it for deletion, and blanked it. (Athaenara then deleted it.)
  2. You recreated it at Dabangg 3 (film), claiming others' work as your own and not complying with the attribution requirement of the CC BY-SA 3.0 license.

I've merged the history back into the article. Do not do this again. — JJMC89(T·C) 01:47, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @JJMC89: I'm extremely sorry for what I did. But I was trying to create the article for the movie which is currently in making. But as I created the article it was like a mismatch and mistake which was done by me. And either the Wp:page mover or WP: administrator would solve the issue. But either they are not online or they are not responding. And in the previous article which I moved to drafting and was deleted had multiple ip vandalism through anonymous. So I did the action. I know I really gone wrong with my actions. I know I will be block and my privilege will be taken away from me. But I'm sorry. I will adhere the Wikipedia policy. And I will try not to know any mistakes and would edit in good faith from now onwards. AR.Dmg (talk) 02:41, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sir I would like to request you about this article which I created Boss – Baap of Special Services, Firrkie, I M 24, Sab Kushal Mangal, Section 375. Please check whether this article comply with WP:N then please move this article. To draft so that I work on it otherwise they would be deleted. Dharma Productions[edit]

Please explain your mass edits in which you remove the wiki-link to Dharma Productions. Krimuk2.0 (talk) 07:51, 21 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Link removals have been reverted[edit]

Hello AR.Dmg, I have reverted your removals of valid Wiki-links to Dharma Productions. Your reasoning "Because an article exist" doesn't make sense in this context - Wiki-links are specifically meant to point to existing articles with additional related information. Assuming you used the Twinkle "unlink" feature, this feature is primarily used to remove obsolete red links to non-notable topics (for example after a clearly non-notable article has been deleted), not for mass-deleting valid blue links. It should be used "with caution" as mentioned in the Twinkle window for this function.

Assuming this was a misunderstanding, please make sure to read the documentation for Twinkle at Wikipedia:Twinkle/doc. Also, please do not mass-edit 100+ articles when you are using a new feature for the first time. Start with 1-2 edits and double-check the results manually before making further similar edits in other articles. Hope these tips are helpful, but please feel free to ask me if you have any additional questions. Volunteers at WP:Teahouse or WP:Help desk will also be glad to help with any such questions. Best regards. GermanJoe (talk) 09:26, 21 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @GermanJoe:, @Krimuk2.0:, @Sid95Q: I accept and take the responsibility of the edit. I was trying to do changes with something else. But I didn't know how the serious mistake happened by me. I'm sorry to all Wikipedia contributors. AR.Dmg (talk) 09:48, 21 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Vilen (singer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Notice

The file File:Photo (song).jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not Useful, No usage in any article

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Re: Request for help[edit]

What boundaries and limitations for extended confirmed users are preventing you from contributing to Wikipedia?
You asked where you are lacking... Well, I notice on your user talk page, you have received several notices telling you that articles you have created are being deleted because the person doesn't meet the Wikipedia:Notability guideline. If somebody has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of them, they are considered "notable".
Also, you have received many messages regarding images you have uploaded. It may be a good idea to read Wikipedia:Non-free content --Geniac (talk) 20:32, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Pending changes reviewer granted[edit]

Hi AR.Dmg. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" user right, which allows you to review edits that are pending approval on pages currently under pending changes protection and either accept the edits to make them viewable by the general public, or decline and revert them.

Keep these things in mind regarding the tool or when you're reviewing any pending changes:

  • A list of articles with pending edits awaiting review can be viewed at Special:PendingChanges.
  • A list of the articles currently under pending changes protection can be viewed at Special:StablePages.
  • Being granted and having these rights does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you (obviously).
  • You'll generally want to accept any pending changes that appear to be legitimate edits and are not blatant vandalism or disruption, and reject edits that are problematic or that you wouldn't accept yourself.
  • Never accept pending changes that are obvious vandalism, contain blatant neutral point of view issues, copyright violations, or BLP violations.

Useful guidelines and pages for you to read:

Please feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into any questions, get stuck anywhere, or if you're not sure if you should accept or revert pending changes to a page, and I'll be more than be happy to help you. If you no longer want the pending changes reviewer rights, let me know and I'll be happy to remove it for you. Thank you for helping to patrol recent changes and keep Wikipedia free of disruption and vandalism - it's a very thankless job to perform and I want you to know that it doesn't go unnoticed and that I appreciate it very much. Happy editing! :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 09:41, 14 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Canvassing and hat collection[edit]

AR.Dmg I noticed you have canvassed admins, yet again, via Oshwah's talk page for permissions which you've recently and frequently been denied. I strongly suggest you not do this and go through the appropriate venues. You have had several requests denied, you currently have a pending request which is likely to be denied at WP:AFC/P.

To add to that, in at least 2 of these, you canvassed more than ten administrators and now you've canvassed Oshwah. This is a pattern I suggest you stop. Praxidicae (talk) 13:25, 14 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request to reconsider Unblock[edit]

AR.Dmg (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Hello, everyone, Happy Holidays. I know and I have realized my mistake. And I admit it's my mistake, when I young, childish, not too smart enough, kind of fascinated to have a Wikipedia articles. So I forcefully tried and created article Vivek Chourasia, username under Vivek Chourasia. I had earlier admitted that I was using multiple accounts to escape from a block because I was unware of the fact and the consequences I will have to face in the future. I didn't knew about it. It was really foolish and shameful of me, that I again and again violate the Wikipedia policy after getting warned also. I admit that Wikipedia policy clearly states that I have to declare all the account I'm associated with. But I never did so. All my Wikipedia account details through which I was ever been associated with are listed here. I don't want to lie, abuse, spam anymore now with anyone nor would ever try to escape a block by creating a new account. I'm ready to face the consequences. I had misused, abused, harmed, damage whatever I did it was all under the impatience behaviour. I destroy my friendly rapport with few of the admins who on the editorial ground granted rights, assisted me, sometimes guided me. I admit that I violate the Wikipedia policy. I'm sorry. I know that I'm the reason of my block. Last time when I requested for a unblock. It was mentioned that you have to wait for a period of six months to one year. But that also I can't fullfill upto. I admit I'm requesting after 5 month. But in these month I violate the rules. Which I shouldn't have done and I really regret it. Tell me what should I do to justify and prove myself that I will not harm Wikipedia anymore. I will definitely prove my loyalty to the Wikipedia if given a chance on the editorial ground based on the editing through this account. I have always taken undue advantage but would not anymore. Thanks, Please it's a humble request do consider it, if then also if my request get decline, I would just simply say thanks and sorry that I bothered you all and thanks for reading my request once

Decline reason:

As this is now a checkuser block, and in light of recent socking, no. Please read pertinent parts of the WP:GAB.-- Deepfriedokra 19:15, 29 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Cyphoidbomb:, I'm requesting from here because I don't have the access of my first account by which I violate the Wikipedia policy. So I'm requesting for reconsider of unblock from this account. AR.Dmg (talk) 18:56, 29 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Administrator attention[edit]

Hello @Deepfriedokra:, Happy Holidays. I admit it's my mistake that I was involved with multiple accounts which has led to the violations of Wikipedia policy d guidelines. I admit that I didn't disclose all the account to Wikipedia after repeatedly creating new various account. I didn't intend to do so but I did that in my impatient behaviour. I damage my friendly rapport with fellow editor @Cyphoidbomb:, someone who has always guided me , support me when ever I needed the assistance regarding anything. I'm really feeling guilty that my mistakes can't be pardoned. But then also I would like to request for a reconsider though, I know that I was informed before that I shouldn't edit for a period of six to one year. But again I can't keep up to it. But again I regret it that I should keep calm. Thanks please consider my request. AR.Dmg (talk) 15:53, 29 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this not now a WP:3X block?-- Deepfriedokra 19:28, 29 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
To answer your question above, whenever I see someone who, over and over, furiously creates accounts to edit, there's some agenda at play, so it's likely that UPE is the case here. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:18, 29 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've just blocked three more socks, all of which were created in the last week and were editing at the same time as this account's comments. I've revoked TPA.--Bbb23 (talk) 19:03, 29 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
