The issue with your edits is, that there is no reference about the anglicisation of these names. So please don't revert it again.--Stopthenonsense (talk) 14:40, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Tvm Central - Travancore.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Tvm Central - Travancore.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Black Kite 11:31, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
Hello about Thiruvanathapuram
Hello Sir, I have understood after viewing your posts that you contribute to Thiruvanathapuram based artciles.Thiruvanathapuram district is not 2nd largest in keral(i corrected)ts 10th largest. ie, its one of the smallest ditrict in kerala. However it has highest population density after alapapuzha
view this website http://cyberjournalist.org.in/census/dtpop91.html (its outdated. now density very high)
tk kumar —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.244.169.30 (talk) 05:18, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
Hi Mr.Kumar, The population is the primary measurement when talking about the largest/smallest places. In the article it is mentioned that Thiruvanananthapuram is the second largest district in Kerala; because its population is the second largest in the state after Malappuram.
Thanks for your suggestions. Please opt to create an account in wikipedia to continue with your contributions. Cheers, -- Rajith Mohan (Talk to me..) 08:45, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Thovala
A tag has been placed on Thovala requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. BejinhanTalk 04:16, 7 September 2009 (UTC)
- I am removing the speedy deletion tag - It was meant to be a redirect. My fault, that I clicked "Internal link" button instead of "Redirect". Sorry for that. Cheers, -- Rajith Mohan (Talk to me..) 04:18, 7 September 2009 (UTC)
- Ok, good. BejinhanTalk 04:24, 7 September 2009 (UTC)
Glorify Kochi?????
Mr Rajith Mohan, I do not know who you are and where you are from, but i know one thing. You do not know the history of Kochi and its surrounding areas. Otherwise you would not say that details about Kochi is glorified. Kochi is one city (if you include old Muziris in Kochi as the rulers of both the cities where same and both lay in 20kms range) that has the oldest history recorded in ancient south India. There is no need of Glorification of Cochin, already Kochi is glorified. I understand that you want to show Trivandrum as the best city of Kerala. I have no regrets. But what is in history should stay in history and should be mentioned. If you want to have adebate on Kochi and its history, let us do so, either by email or in person.
I have no hard feelings and i have nothing against you. I always want to support the Truth.
Cheers... Kerala Varma —Preceding unsigned comment added by Keralavarma (talk • contribs) 04:07, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
- Hi,
- Thanks for the message in talk page. I did not try to glorify or de-glorify any places. First you should understand why I reverted the changes done by Gantlet. Kochi is a featured article. The details included in the article were approved by the editors after much discussions (You can find the details in the talk page archives). Including more pictures in to each section will make it not only messy, but also will cause a slow download with low-speed connections.
- There are already 3 pictures in the economy section. What is the need in adding one more picture to the section? Also adding 2 more to the demographics section, which is already squeezed with pictures, make no sense.
- I dont possess any prejuidice against any thing. Please discuss before you make further changes, and we can reach a consensus. Happy editing :-) Cheers, -- Rajith Mohan (Talk to me..) 04:30, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
I've edited the population and the UA part in the first para. Please don't revert back the additional pics & information regarding the city, which I've posted. --Gantlet
- Your pictures are removed from the article because it doesnot possess a valid license, and is deleted as of now. Cheers, -- Rajith Mohan
NPOV
Hi. Thanks for your edit on the BKWSU article. I appreciate the intention was to make the statement NPOV but using the words, "it has been claimed..." is problematic as it infers doubt WP:CLAIM. As a possible solution in this case, I suggest attributing the statement to the reference with a statement like, "According to Lawrence Babb, in the early days...".
I can't make changes to the article myself for WP:COI reasons. So would appreciate your help in improving the article if you are in agreement.
Thanks & regards Bksimonb (talk) 12:44, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
- Hi there. Even better ... rather be used by one of the cult members to do their organizations' whitewashing for them. Try reading some of the sources given on the topic.
- You will discover that it is all widely recorded and publicized, even by the sect themselves. Thank you. --Dadi says, be accurate too (talk) 17:28, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
- FYI. The comment above was made by a user indef blocked for massive trolling, harassment and disruption. An old friend of mine, unfortunately. Bksimonb (talk) 18:40, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Bksimonb , Since this is about a spiritual organisation, there will be obviously blind followers who always tries to decorate the article. I would be glad to help in the improvement of the article. Unfortunately, I lack the subject expertise. Anyways, I will try to do basic copy-edits and will try to neutralise the tone of the article. Cheers, -- Rajith Mohan (Talk to me..) 09:42, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Rajith,
- You did do the right thing in that the article can't make an outright statement that anyone did have a vision since it is a subjective experience. It is, however, widely reported in the sources that many followers reported visions in the early days of the organisation. Would you be happy with replacing "it has been claimed..." with "it has been reported..."?
- I also see that there are other similar problematic statements such as ,"Its mediums also directly channel a messages from deceased senior Brahma Kumaris leaders". So Wikipedia believes in channelling? If you look at the reference how much does the quoted text relate to the statement being made in the article? There seems to be some WP:SYNTH going on.
- You are also correct that there is a risk of blind followers wanting to decorate articles about their beliefs and organisations. Please understand that I personally have no desire to do that. I really appreciated your efforts to improve the article.
- Thanks & regards, Bksimonb (talk) 10:36, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
- Just to clarify Rajithmohan, User:Bksimonb - ( as in Brahma Kumari Simon b) is a deeply involved adherent of this sect who has spent years attempting a clear, honest and well referenced documentation of the sect and has been involved in legal actions suppression open discussion of the Brahma Kumari sect.
- His manipulation of yourself, and persistent attempt at discrediting the topic by placing a huge tag at the top of it, is just another episode in several years worth of attempts by the sect to gain control of the Wikipedia page and discredit other non-adherent editors.
- Thank you. --The Murli says, be accurate (talk) 16:07, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
- Looks like my friend is back again. The question has to be asked why someone goes to such lengths to repeatedly evade an effective ban to wiki-stalk and harass anyone who goes near the article he thinks he still WP:OWNS. FYI I've addressed most of his daft claims on my user page and blog. Apologies for the drama on your talk page. Bksimonb (talk) 17:07, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
Edit war between users : Shrieekk and Dewatchdog
please send same message to your friends who try to hide facts in kochi article. Or somebody can do it on other articles also like 'TRIVANDRUM".We have put facts only. somebody else try to hide it and you support them ! We have not done anything on Trivandrum page. we edited kochi page only. We can not put facts on our city page? if it is not solved decently, we will contact administrators. regards shrieekk. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shrieekk (talk • contribs) 06:06, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
- I have given the warning to both the parties who were involved in the edit war (not only to you). This is an encyclopedia, and not a place to glorify "your city" or "my city". Before editing the article, it would be good if you read the basic policies of wiki. Having said that, I request you to stop the edit war on the article. You can discuss your part in the talk page of the article for acquiring consensus. Cheers, -- Rajith Mohan (Talk to me..) 06:40, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

Yes, I am from Oman and more accurately I am from Muscat.I have put facts only. They are need to be put back who deleted it.Kochi is the corporation with highest dencity of population in kerala. so what is wrong with it? why did you delete it? regards shrieekk. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shrieekk (talk • contribs) 07:01, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
Kindly block the user Dewatchdog. He is deleting the facts which I added to the article, Kochi. Regards Shrieekk. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shrieekk (talk • contribs) 07:21, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
Mr. (or Mrs? )Shrieekk, The infobox already states about the "dencity" (as you said). Adding it again in the article means you want to state that your city is first in some thing. If you blindly love your city, please dont take it here, and use wiki to propagate your love. If I can track your location (muscat, oman), i can track your company too. And I can report to your company about using company work time to vandalise wiki. Count on it. --Dewatchdog (talk) 09:24, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
Ok, then population also given in infobox. then why "largest " and "second largest" etc should be given? Also some statements like "most populous city" etc in the article "trivandrum" can be removed? It is ofcourse notable thing that Kochi having highest dencity of population. Why cant you tolarate this statement? And dont try to THREATEN other users. It is my time and I would decide how to use it.Please discuss about the article. Not about personal things. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shrieekk (talk • contribs) 09:57, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

Your edit of wiki Loan_words_in_Malayalam on 04:10, 16 December 2008
Can you please explain your edit of Loan_words_in_Malayalam on 04:10, 16 December 2008 Rajithmohan (talk | contribs) (2,637 bytes) (→Portuguese: varanda is sanskrit). As per what I understand, the English word Veranda originated from the Hindi word which was based on the Portuguese word Veranda. Please refer [1] for this info.
Can you confirm which Sanskrit word is varanda originally derived from? If a Sanskrit word already existed, then how come Hindi word is based on Portuguese?
Kindly clarify. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.66.102.242 (talk) 20:56, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
- The word Veranda went to English from the Indian languages including Hindi, Malayalam etc. Many linguistics says that the Indian languages adopted this word from Portugese. Its also said that the Sanskrit word Varandaka was the root word for the Portugese Beranda also. Please check the book Goa and Portugal: their cultural links By Charles J. Borges, Helmut Feldmann (ISBN: 8170226597, 9788170226598). Its also claimed that the root word is not Sanskrit, but Persian (barāmadah) (C. Defréméry, in Revue Critique, 1869, 1st Sem.p.64.). Malay language/Old Malay, which has Sanskrit influence on it also have the word Beranda. Cheers, -- Rajith Mohan (Talk to me..) 05:15, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs
Hello Rajithmohan! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 329 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- T. K. Rajeev Kumar - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 04:50, 27 December 2009 (UTC)

Biggest Hit of 2007 : Malayalam films
Hi,
I have edited the 2007 biggest hit based on a valid reference. If you want to "undo" it please produce a better reference link...
Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chengroop (talk • contribs) 10:17, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for your time to edit the wiki articles. Please make sure that the links you provide is always valid and conveys the citation claim completely. The link you provided to cite the biggest Malayalam movie hit of 2000s is not fully true. The link : http://www.malayalamcinema.com/News-24/ONAM+RELEASE+2007.html?newsid=228&linkid=24 says only about Onam releases and doesnt have a complete analysis of the hits in the year. Please feel free to drop me a message in case you need more clarification. Thanks, -- Rajith Mohan (Talk to me..) 10:54, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
Hi
Thanks for the message.Mayavi was released in February 2007. Hallo was released later (July). The link which I have given was an update up to August,2007. Here it is clear that Mayavi was not the biggest hit as you claimed. So please do not list Mayavi as the biggest hit of 2007, till you get a proven link to substantiate your claim —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chengroop (talk • contribs) 11:01, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
- Hello,
- I am not claiming any thing, but just reflecting what other citations are telling. I have provided two valid links in the article itself. One: India Glitz Hit chart and Two: Web India Hit Chart. You can even check other authenticate sites like sify movies or rediff movies too. Here in wiki, we need to arrive at a consensus after checking different opinions, as different sites may quote different lists. So, going by the median average, Mayavi is the biggest hit of the year 2007. Cheers, -- Rajith Mohan (Talk to me..) 11:09, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
Hi,
The links you have provided are from sites like indiaglitz.com and webindia123.com which are not reliable sources. As you mentioned consensus should be reached but not by depending on unreliable sources. Hindu, a respected newspaper should not be wrong. This data is again till Onam, but then, that is enough to show that Hallo is a bigger hot than Mayavi —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chengroop (talk • contribs) 11:24, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
Indiaglitz and such sites are the only movie related sites available in the web to refer about Indian films. The Hindu report is not complete, as it is more about Onam releases. Where as, the links i provided talks about the gross collection of films released in 2007. Cheers, -- Rajith Mohan (Talk to me..) 09:43, 8 March 2010 (UTC)

KITEC
Hello Rajith! I only now noticed that Kochi International Trade and Exhibition Centre was put through AFD. I was a little surprised that you put it forward as a hoax. The details of the building had come in almost all major Malayalam newspapers, and the initial rendering is also there in Zoom developers' annual report. Will have to search the archives of KochiNow for it, but it is the same as that shown here. It was also put through environmental ministry's sanction, where the 100 floors are clearly mentioned. I'm unsure about the current status or about the notability of the building as such, but it was certainly not a hoax.--thunderboltz(TALK) 18:00, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
