Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Luciano Bianciardi, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rizzoli (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Ribolla redirect[edit]

While it is awesome that you have invested the time and effort to create an article on Ribolla, I would kindly ask that the next time you turn a redirect into an article that you leave a dab link to the original source. Typically there is a reason why the redirect was created in the first place and we want to make sure that readers searching for the original topic can still get to their intended page. To learn how to leave hatnotes, please check out Wikipedia:Disambiguation#Hatnotes. Thanks! AgneCheese/Wine 23:35, 16 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from List of mayors of Pisa into List of mayors of Matera. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. A tag has been placed on List of mayors of Belluno requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://fashion-and-designx.blogspot.com/2015/03/mayor-of-milan.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Italian church moves[edit]

I see that you have now moved several hundred of these articles away from English language titles to a version of their Italian names. Please stop - a move on this scale should have been discussed first.Ingratis (talk) 11:44, 17 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I notice also that you are using the misleading edit summary of "disambiguation" for these moves.Ingratis (talk) 11:47, 17 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@User:Ingratis I used the "disambiguation" edit summary for the moves NAME (PLACE) -> NAME, PLACE. For the other moves I wrote "standardization". I only moved titles from English roughly-translated names to the correct names provided by sources. English names must have English sources.--Alienautic (talk) 12:22, 17 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I looked again and see what you mean about disambiguation based on how the place name is added - "..., Placename" instead of "...(Placename)" (I was concentrating on the language issue) - and have no problem with it, so withdraw my comment. As to moving an acceptable English-language name to an Italian one, I don't agree, but will continue this from your reply on my talk page.Ingratis (talk) 10:09, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Gata Cattana moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Gata Cattana, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Titignano requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an orphaned disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • is a redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

Translated plot summaries[edit]

Are you deleting autotranslated plot summaries like this one because you can see that they're based on copyrighted text which shouldn't even be on the original-language Wikipedia (which they may well be), or because they're poor quality, or some other reason? --Lord Belbury (talk) 14:39, 15 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for removing ones, such as at Ghost Town Anthology. There was something that didn't quite feel right when I saw it added, but couldn't quite put my finger on it! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 17:03, 15 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you delete my edit?? you didn't explain the deletion. Denisarona (talk) 17:26, 7 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The information in the article was not correct - the Oratory of San Leonardo is not the main parish church in Borgomanero. Denisarona (talk) 17:36, 7 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Beh vedo che già la conoscevi . Ho visto che già avevi fatto la voce Wikidata, credi che per te provare a crearla su it.wiki (io non scrivo più su quella wiki), sia impresa ardua? --Kasper2006 (talk) 16:47, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Alienautic,

I saw you were asking about this deleted article. What happened was last month, the editor who has created many film articles decided that some of the articles they had created years ago didn't have sufficient sourcing. They requested several dozen of their page creations be deleted because they weren't up to current standards for film articles. So, it wasn't a copyright issue, just a article creator's request that their pages now judged to be inferior be deleted. I hope this answers your inquiry. Liz Read! La promessa dell'anno[edit]

Sorry, but how do you know it's not an official video? To me it turns out to be Vevo. --Kasper2006 (talk) 08:27, 25 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Caspita Voce ha superato Sciccherie, hai visto? --Kasper2006 (talk) 17:33, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Kasper2006: Ho visto! Beh, c'è da dire che è proprio un gran pezzo! --Alienautic (talk) 21:14, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Damiano David[edit]

The song "Oro bianco" was before X Factor but not before they started playing on the streets in 2016 and early 2017 neither before Måneskin released official video for "Recovery". Also the song "Oro bianco" is not significant to be mentioned. I cannot find any reference for it. If one day there is any then it could be mentioned, not now. --ParoleSonore (talk) 22:23, 29 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Updating certifications[edit]

Hi Alienautic. When updating certifications like you did here (which is, of course, much appreciated), please update the |access-date= as well. This is important for citation validation. Also, you may want to use the new |id= parameter which makes citation much clearer. Best regards and happy editing. --Muhandes (talk) 11:08, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Il sesso degli angeli moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Il sesso degli angeli, is not suitable as written to remain published. Creating redirects[edit]

Hi Alenautic. When you create redirects, please make sure the title is at least mentioned on the article you're redirecting it to. You recently created "Due vite" but it was not mentioned on Mengoni's discography at the time you made it. Same with Lazza and "Cenere". You may be aware but if they're not mentioned at the target article (and you don't add one), they can be nominated at WP:RFD. Thanks. Ss112 16:19, 10 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

February 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello. Some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to Cenere (song), have conflicted with our neutral point of view and/or verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. Thank you. Ss112 10:27, 22 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Musical groups from Calabria indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Liz Read! Various things[edit]

Hello Alienautic. Regarding articles you create, in the infobox, please include the alt= parameter, even if it is not filled out, per WP:ALT. I've noticed you include caption=, which is hardly ever used for the types of songs you create articles for, but you should replace it with alt=. Regarding templates you have created recently, please do not use small text in templates per MOS:SMALL. Text size is already reduced in templates by their very nature, so you are making text additionally hard to read. Finally, you are allowed to not create articles on others' redirects (I have noticed you particularly avoid mine), but please at least request a move at WP:RM/TR for all of them, and if you're creating a disambiguated article (e.g. with "(song)" in the title when there's already something at the basic name), at least add a hatnote containing a link to the page you've created. You didn't do this for Voglia di vivere (which I just disambiguated) and several others, like the Diodato song "Adesso". Thank you. Ss112 18:17, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
