Hey Amaury, don't worry man, no need to edit-war on a vandals own talk page. He's just getting off on the attention since that's all he's able to do now. Moosehadley 03:36, 3 April 2015 (UTC)

Reverting obvious vandalism is exempt from WP:3RR. Repeated personal attacks count as vandalism. The user has now been hard blocked and cannot edit their talk page, in any case. - Amaury (talk) 03:42, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
Just an aside; You may find User:Jayron32's note on the [log] amusing :) Moosehadley 03:50, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
Yup, gave me a good chuckle as well. - Amaury (talk) 03:51, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
If we didn't laugh, we'd have to cry, sometimes. --Jayron32 03:52, 3 April 2015 (UTC)

The source is in the edit summary. I added it again to the summary. Please include it in the article.120.62.24.165 (talk) 05:45, 3 April 2015 (UTC)

I hope its all answered now.120.62.24.165 (talk) 05:50, 3 April 2015 (UTC)

The message below from 84.90.219.128 is a response to a message I left at User talk:84.90.219.128: Thanks.

No worries, we well-intended users are born to: 1 - get along well; 2 - work for the good of the project. Mission accomplished here, don't be afraid to revert me when I incur in a mistake (which I have/will have). Happy week, from Portugal --84.90.219.128 (talk) 19:04, 5 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi there, I am the person who edited the page on the village of Occold.Unfortunately there was not much to go on with the history of the village, so I had to put a past residents extract on so there was a brief history of the village on the page. The extract is from http://historyofsuffolk.co.uk/Occold/index1865.shtml. The other information is general knowledge, e.g. I know the dialling code and postal town. All the information I have stated is completely correct, so if possible can you undo your edit. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.4.76.117 (talk) 20:45, 5 April 2015 (UTC)

I've edited the article (Jalil Hanoon) and then asked for me to add sources and I do, why all of these warnings and threats? ميناء (talk) 21:21, 5 April 2015 (UTC)

Hello. Thanks for this edit. The user is not understanding what I'm saying and is just mad that it can't be listed like that in the Today Show article. I'm not sure how to get it across this editor, and as I told him/her, I might take it to a noticeboard. I'm done reverting for now as I don't want that to cause a problem if I do take it there. Corky | Chat? 01:52, 6 April 2015 (UTC)

Your revert to my edits of Edward Snowdon page are inaccurate, there are new interviews out and this man has committed negligence, please desist from reverting my edits! 86.134.169.7 (talk) 06:08, 7 April 2015 (UTC)

Please provide reliable sources, then, to back up your edits. Otherwise, they are considered disruptive. - Amaury (talk) 06:10, 7 April 2015 (UTC)

Dear Amaury, your reverts to Serfdom in Russia are very wrong: the user wrote a paragraph, then added a correction to that paragraph, was (erroneously) reverted by the bot, reverted back, and you wrote him a scalding message reverting the changes back to the bot version. This is wrong, because the bot was clearly in error. Please try to be more careful when you revert. Thanks. Tiphareth (talk) 06:16, 7 April 2015 (UTC)

Coert

I am new to Wikipedia, fixing my schools page per asignment and also doing a bit of history my own, and i accidently made the Coert page meaning to make a Coert Van Voorhees page which I have subsequently made. The Coert page can be deleted for the information has been moved to the correct page at Coert Van Voorhees. Thank You. MattVoorhees15 (talk) 00:59, 9 April 2015 (UTC)

Hello, You are right concerning the article relating The British Film Academy Awards, it makes the page look untidy, BAFTA is just the nickname ,like some people call the American Academy awards as Oscar. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 1.42.15.25 (talk) 03:30, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

I understand your post to my talk page. Dougweller and Shibbolethink have been hounding me. I asked them nicely to stop even letting them know I would seek disciplinary actions if they didn't. Instead of stopping they've gotten worse. I am new to Wikipedia and you can follow my editing history for only a few days about topics I believe wikipedia users may be interested in more information. You will see they hounded me from the first post and have continued to do so. Instead of encouraging me to do better these two editors inject their personal points of view through disruptive editing and eliminate well sourced citations if they are critical of their point of view. This does not enhance Wikipedia, in fact it perpetuates one of the greatest criticisms and that is editors who bully others into either leaving entirely or giving up. It in no way improves the neutrality of the articles. In fact, one article I was working on sounded so much like a press release it was disgusting and include virtully no citations yet these two Wikihounders were perfectly happy with it. All I've done is reply in the same way as they have replied to me. I would expect better from experienced Wikipedia users. 66.190.249.59 (talk) 22:14, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

@66.190.249.59: I can certainly understand your frustrations, but inappropriately templating a regular is not the way to go. If you personally feel these users have stepped out of line, you're more than free to create a report at WP:AN/I or WP:AN/EW (whichever you feel is appropriate -- the latter is for edit-warring) and get opinions from uninvolved editors. - Amaury (talk) 22:19, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

It does your incorrect and boys start at age 10 and girls start at age 9. Read the internet puberty usually occurs at age 10 for boys and 9 for girls. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jordanandpeopleyaywoohoo (talkcontribs) 22:27, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

@Jordanandpeopleyaywoohoo: You changed info that was properly sourced. If you can find another reliable source that backs up your claims, then feel free to change it or add new sentences explaining your claims. - Amaury (talk) 22:32, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
Jordanandpeopleyaywoohoo (talk · contribs), you should reply in this section, not how you did earlier; therefore, I removed your "I will report you" text. If you report Amaury, or me, it will backfire on you; see WP:BOOMERANG. The Internet is not a reliable source by itself. Sources found on the Internet, however, can be reliable. For what Wikipedia considers a reliable source, see WP:Reliable source. I already pointed you to the WP:Verifiability policy on your talk page. The content that you are changing at the Puberty article does not state that girls never begin puberty at age 9 or that boys never begin puberty at age 10; it's stating that girls usually begin puberty at age 10 or 11, and that boys usually begin puberty at age 11 or 12. And, as mentioned above, it's sourced. Flyer22 (talk) 22:54, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

The Hindi word had been spelled like the English word 'challenge'. It is confusing to the readers (it was confusing to me) while the actual Hindi word does not require two 'l's to represent its proper pronunciation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 182.93.83.33 (talk) 05:59, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

I'm not allowed use my work computer to edit Wikipedia, and if I edit logged-in people might get the wrong idea. My phone's IP prevents that. 182.249.15.106 (talk) 06:43, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for your help in keeping Don Lane (Santa Cruz) [2] honest and as negotiated on October 15 2014. They have added this sentence: "The following paragraph was written by a political opponent of Lane who has decided to take up 25 percent of Lane's biography with his obsession with a minor event from more than 25 years ago that is not accurately described. The references cited do not actually verify all of the contents of this paragraph:" which is patently untrue. I am not the political opponent they are referring to though I do oppose many of Lane's policies and decisions. I have added this after the above inserted sentence: "The previous sentence is not true as evidenced by the following links and direct quotes."

It's funny how Don Lane and his team are so upset about this episode that they lie about it. It's also funny that Don Lane refers to it in a jokingly condescending manner in a recent fluff piece about him in a local paper: [3]

Again, thanks for your help and diligence on this page. Let's keep it up! The Man of Heart (talk) 13:17, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

Comment This isn't how content disputes are dealt with on BLPs. 3RR notices issued, temp semi protection requested. Take it to Talk:Don Lane (Santa Cruz). Keri (talk) 14:07, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

Apparently I've been flagged as to be in an Edit War at Don Lane (Santa Cruz). If you have the time and interest, would you comment on the Article's Talk Page? Thanks, The Man of Heart (talk) 17:49, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

@The Man of Heart: Sorry for the late reply, but as I'm not familiar with the subject, I'm afraid I can't be of help. - Amaury (talk) 06:00, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

Good day, Amauri! My name is Vanessa. I would like to know why some of the information I have added on the page named "Manure" has been deleted? I did not add any false information, and made sure my information is accurate. This must be an error. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vanessa 122333 (talkcontribs) 19:25, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

@Vanessa 122333: It's not encyclopedia material. It's also a personal opinion, which violates Wikipedia's neutrality policy. - Amaury (talk) 19:33, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

'OR, you could try to WP:AGF, try to actually help make an encyclopaedia, instead of trying to Whac-A-Mole. I think you're playing wikipedia like a game. It's not a game. You are probably a nice-enough person, but you're playing me like you'd play space-invaders. Maybe I'm actually trying to do something here - certainly not 'vandalising'. How about AGF? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bobbertybob (talkcontribs) 06:51, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
WP:AGF is for Editors, not moderators. Put down the eraser and contribute. Interference 541 (talk) 06:53, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
@Bobbertybob:Specifically you tagged Muara Bungo with the made up "utterly pointless" speedy deletion criteria three times. You either didn't read or ignored the communication on your talk page. AGF is a two-way street. -- haminoon (talk) 06:54, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
Amaury, What do you mean by 'moderator' in this sense? I think you misunderstand how wikipedia works. Haminoon, do you think that this adds to our (V) encyclopaedic knowledge of this world? If we allow it, then surely anyone can just add any 'foo is a place if baatown' - which devalues the entire project. I'm happy to discuss it though. Bobbertybob (talk) 07:18, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi Amaury, you recently reported 98.90.88.69 to AIV. A quick note that I've logged a number of their IPs at User:Cyphoidbomb/Marhc Vandal. If you spot them, you could presumably just refer to my list without having to climb up the warning tree with them—that's just a waste of time. Regards! Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:46, 26 April 2015 (UTC)

@Cyphoidbomb: Thanks for the heads up. I wasn't even aware of the whole mess and thought it was just another vandal until I saw your comment on AIV. - Amaury (talk) 02:48, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
Happy to help. And please feel free to add new IPs you happen upon to the list. I saw that you AIV'd 2602:306:25A5:8459:B829:A3B4:8593:A767, so thanks for that. I've added them to the list. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 21:07, 26 April 2015 (UTC)

@Puuloa: Hello Puuloa! Not Amaury here, but I'll throw in some advice. You really should discuss the issue at Talk:Same-sex marriage in the United States. I don't have much of an opinion on the issue itself, but edit warring is not allowed here. Instead, we strive for discussion and consensus. Good luck and happy editing!
