Yeah thanks for catching the over-simplified somewhat aggressive edit on Deus. I did that because on a very simple level my original edit read as such and was tacked on to the end of the first paragraph.

"It continues this relationship explicitly with the words for day in English, Spanish, Italian, and French. The feminine in Spanish being dia and the masculine Dios repeats the relationship. In French, diurnal, the experience of the day, is also related and becomes jour, which is in turn the root of the word journey. In Italian, giorno is also related to diurnal and phonetically to Dio. Without a masculine or feminine concept in English we are left with the gender neutral day. The metaphor of an existential observational truth gains traction in the naming of Lucifer, Shining One, related to lucent, as the contrast of the light of a fire and the light of the Sun." maybe some edits could be *The feminine in Spanish is Dia while the masculine is Dios. Maybe Day could be capitalized all the way through as a nod to the idea of the proper name of God? Because basically the nod to the Latin languages in the first paragraph is incomplete and disconnected in my estimation. I think it all falls short of a true etymology and comes nowhere near common usage.

Maybe that can be tightened up a bit? but it certainly isn't inaccurate. and it was removed. Maybe I should add, "In the scripture Lucifer is a false light that burns man, while Jesus/God is the true light that gives us life. And that English, as a whole, is completely indebted to these concepts as they inform our current use of Day"

So I went back to the page and went supernova on it, because that connection is very deep and useful. One day at a time brother. thanks for noticing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pierremariejeanahlstrom (talkcontribs) 20:05, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

@Pierremariejeanahlstrom: If you have any issues with the article, please bring it up on the article's talk page so you and others can discuss your concerns. - Amaury (talk) 20:14, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

Hello, I'm a bit confused as to why you're removing messages left on my talk page? Sometimes before I see them? Azealia911 (talk) 21:37, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

@Azealia911: Apologies. They looked like vandalism to me. :) - Amaury (talk) 21:41, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
No need for apologies, although I am dealing with a pretty disruptive user, can you help me in reporting them? I haven't the faintest idea how to do so, they keep changing the sales information for Pink Friday, Nicki Minaj's debut album, on her [discography page]. [[1]] they have repeated this action numerous times against numerous editors reverts, and I have no idea how to stop them. Any help would be appreciated :) Azealia911 (talk) 21:46, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
@Azealia911: You can file a report by following the instructions at WP:AIAV; if that doesn't work, file a report by following the instructions at WP:ANI. Hope this helps. - Amaury (talk) 21:50, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

Greetings, Amaury. Wanted to thank you for reverting the vandalism to Now You See Me. I was just about to do the same thing. Typhoon966 (talk) 05:45, 9 March 2015 (UTC)

Userspace protection

There's no doubt that the IP user 108 with different numbers is obviously the same vandal who's been causing nothing but trouble to my userpage and my talkpage, so I ask if you can lock them for protection (for only registered users and admins can edit). There's no doubt that he'll continue to evade the ban by changing his IP address constantly and create further problems with constant vandalism. Thanks. Jon the VGN3rd (talk) 16:53, 9 March 2015 (UTC)

@Jon the VGN3rd: I'm not an admin, but I can request a page protection for ya. :) - Amaury (talk) 16:55, 9 March 2015 (UTC)
Please do so. I can't constantly revert edits from my userpage as long as he's still around and waiting to cause further vandalism. Jon the VGN3rd (talk) 16:56, 9 March 2015 (UTC)
@Jon the VGN3rd: Done! - Amaury (talk) 16:58, 9 March 2015 (UTC)

I feel that I posted something to clarify what pay it forward ment. I understand that I have previously made some distruptive comments but I believe that my recent edit was necessary. Thank you for your time. User5457 (talk) 17:10, 9 March 2015 (UTC)

@User5457: I have reverted my revert on the Pay It Forward page and retracted my warning for that. The other revert and warning I feel is accurate, however. Cheers! - Amaury (talk) 17:21, 9 March 2015 (UTC)

Haven

I was wondering why, there was an part 2 for Haven season 5, because it is just one season. And i am new on wiki? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.185.138.108 (talkcontribs)

Hey there can you please fix my change on the UK christmas Number 1 as I don't know how to fix it properly, The changes I have made are about spice girls and there songs as they where never Xmas number 1 I have put the link to verify what I am saying here this shows you that they were never and as they are the regulators of the charts, I am sure you can see that they are right in this case. I don't know how to edit that well so would be really appreciated if you could do it for me. I have put the same message on another users talk message. I hope you can help me make these changes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.29.36.88 (talk) 16:02, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

@92.29.36.88: It certainly needs to be formatted better (that's why I misread the edit), but I don't think your intentions were ill. I have reverted my edit and retracted my message on your talk page. I'll let a more experienced editor in this department answer your question, though. Cheers! - Amaury (talk) 16:11, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for reverting the page-blanking anons. I was lurking in the Recent Changes, and every time I caught a page blank or a vandal, you made the change just before I could. Thanks! Keep it up! :) NekoKatsun (talk) 17:19, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

The edit I made was to add Bill Hicks to the list of notable chain smokers. I actually got the info from his Wikipedia page. Can I use that as a source? Dfdemt (talk) 07:58, 12 March 2015 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure you can't use Wikipedia as a source (Apparition11?). Do check out WP:CITE per the message on your talk page as well as WP:RELIABLE and WP:VERIFY, however. Cheers! - Amaury (talk) 08:01, 12 March 2015 (UTC)

I see you also reverted edits Special:Contributions/41.190.2.39 made, with a warning against vandalism. Clearly spam, and clearly not encyclopedic, but their choice of spam targets is interesting. The first article seemingly has nothing to do with the product being flogged, while the second one does. Someone selling dogy materials targeted at the Nigerian Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board might well be advised to spam it. But Doorjamb? Seems more like a bot's error than a human's.--Robin Thayler (talk) 09:27, 12 March 2015 (UTC)

I only reverted them on Join Admissions and Matriculation Board, so I had a look, and I can definitely see what you mean. I'm wondering if we should report them for the potential of being a bot. - Amaury (talk) 15:40, 12 March 2015 (UTC)

This is Knudknud

Fine, if this is the only way to connect, let it be. I don't believe I deleted the rapid delete notice, this must have happened as a result of a process. Second, I'd like an explanation what on earth is wrong with my wikipedia lemma, as it is public and neutral information about a person with significance. I will not accept bullshit reasons that the man is a nut because he obviously isn't, despite that he has some weird opinions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Knudknud (talkcontribs) 23:51, 13 March 2015 (UTC)

If you'd like to have a discussion, please do so in a civil manner. Your uncivil behavior is unnecessary and unappreciated. - Amaury (talk) 23:59, 13 March 2015 (UTC)

Will you explain to me why they were reverted? (Thank you!) 108.47.207.75 (talk) 06:50, 14 March 2015 (UTC)

Your uncivil behavior and repeated personal attacks toward other users. - Amaury (talk) 06:51, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
N-no, just that some little vandal (I won't reveal who did it) kept on reverting my edits on Adult animation. He (er, she) doesn't give a crap regarding cartoons. 108.47.207.75 (talk) 06:54, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
Your behavior is still uncalled for. If you have an issue with someone, rude and uncivil comments won't get you far. Raise your concerns on the talk page of the article or user in a civil manner. Thanks. - Amaury (talk) 06:57, 14 March 2015 (UTC)

I'm currently dealing with User:Bryce Carmony. They've breached 3RR on their talk page (I think), been harassing and making personal attacks, and I am tired and can't deal with it anymore. At minimum, could you look at his talk page and history? Thanks, Origamite 03:45, 15 March 2015 (UTC)

Armenian bone marrow donor registry

I am new to Wikipedia. I am not sure I am writing in the right place. I deleted the content of the Armenian bone marrow donor registry because there were several articles linking to the Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry instead. I did not know the page names were cap-sensative and I did not know how to change the name of the page to reflect that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by KristinaForbes (talkcontribs) 03:48, 15 March 2015 (UTC)

@KristinaForbes: I have no knowledge on this particular subject. I only reverted you for the unexplained page blanking. If you post your questions on the article's talk page, though, I'm sure someone will be more than happy to help! Cheers! - Amaury (talk) 03:54, 15 March 2015 (UTC)

Please refer to a dictionary. When used in a passive form, the verb "to consult" means that the subject is giving counsel/advice to the agent following "by". Contrast this with "to counsel", which refers to the same practice but for inverted roles. 93.51.172.34 (talk) 23:09, 19 March 2015 (UTC)

Your reversions of my edits

Hi Amaury, I edited pages to share information among community about relevant link, I think link is relevant for any digital currency community/forum/blog etc, for your reference [2] (it's a marketplace for creative, talented and above all crypto lovers, who are willing to work for bitcoin.). We all know mining isn't profitable anymore and not everybody can afford costly miners. Website also share content and news about crypto-currency world at [3]. I think it would appropriate link among community. It is not violation of any Terms of Use. Please consider checking it out once before taking any decision. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pharoah237 (talkcontribs) 09:02, 21 March 2015 (UTC)

I made those additions, scant as they were, because they were in reference to the subject and were missing from it. Please put them back. Im trying to delete all content including text and images on this account in order to shut it down. Please assist if theres a mistake. Imransiddiqui (talk) 20:14, 23 March 2015 (UTC)

Hello, i am new to Wikipedia but the reason why i got an account is because there was an article which only about seven people knew about before it got banned, and the article was about my friends who overheard a secret meeting about a secret society which so happens to go by the name of paradox. scene this website was banned i do not have any proof of this unless you believe me. this is modern history being formed. part of the website i mannaged to copy and it was a speech that one of the members said. the speech was: "We are a group of people who believe that there is more to life that what it seems. We are individuals who try to become better people at anything we do. Why do we do it? We do it because we can. The human race can accomplish incredible things. Ever since the first wars, the human race started to separate itself. We believe that the human race can be reunited again. That the world can become a place were the human race is in peace. We work on advancing technology, science, math, politics, music, and anything possible to the one challenge that good people haven’t been able to accomplish, yet. World peace. There is more depth to everything around us. Water, fire, light, music, and everything that exists. Every single one of these things can become better. Our work can be destroyed by the greediness that lies within us all. We need to fight our self’s to do the right thing and not fight others. What is the point of war? We all know that war is wrong, yet we constantly do it. We are the product of about four and a half billion years of evolution, it’s about time we start acting like it." this is new history but i have no proof except for my word, if you trust me well then i hope that you will help me spread word. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thinkingcenter (talkcontribs) 17:01, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

King Tatie

Hello Amaury. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of King Tatie, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: There's plenty of articles listed that indicate importance. Take to AfD if required, though I think it'll fail. . Thank you. GedUK  13:48, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

@Ged UK: You got the wrong guy. :) This user is the one who added the speedy deletion tag. I only reverted the author of the article for removing the speedy deletion template. Best regards. - Amaury (talk) 15:28, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
Ahh, thanks. The script does it automatically, it doesn't cope with people putting the template back on. GedUK  13:42, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

Another user keeps attempting to destroy this article by erasing most of it. The article is not contentious and has been developed over many years by many editors. The article may need better references, but adding them is impossible if someone keeps erasing the entire thing. Please review the history of the article. 83.136.123.72 (talk) 20:31, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

Instead of edit-warring and falsely accusing others of vandalism, please take any issues you have with the article to the article's talk page and reach a consensus. - Amaury (talk) 20:33, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
So anyone can erase the bulk of an article, and if someone else tries to undo the damage that is edit warring? This makes no sense. The other user didn't post anything on the talk page, just erased about 75% of the entire article for no obvious reason. I have not "introduced" anything new, just tried to restore the article to its previous state (although minus the bit about flexi-discs, which probably shouldn't be there). 83.136.123.72 (talk) 20:50, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
As the old version is readily accessible via history, content can easily be restored when references are found. --NeilN talk to me 20:55, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

As I noted in my earlier report, Disqus is commonly mispronounced as "discus" when in fact it is pronounced "discuss" as in discussions.
